Amelia nodded slightly to Soren. "Good," she said over her shoulder. She took a few steps forward as a Mauthe Doog bounded up from underneath the snow, jaws wide. His throat met her lance before he could reach her, and he fell to the ground with a spray of greenish-red blood. Amelia slid back on the snow, puffing out little white clouds of vapor from her nose.
"What'd you give him?" she asked, noticing the small suede pouch as the Gargoyle crashed to the ground rather loudly.

「 Clearing his throat, the boy tried his best not to beam with pride. He'd worked so hard to get this to the boy. "I got that in a locked room at Fefga's House...It was protected by varied layers of enchantments...I wouldn't have been able to find it without Sue and my other self," the sage bowed slightly, huddling in his thick layers of robes protecting him from the cold. The bow was quite a task under all of that fabric, but the boy could care less how silly he looked at that moment, "In that bag, you'll find your very own Dragonstone, Nils." The boy smiled again, soft and sweet, "Use it well." 」

Nils looked at the older Soren, mouth slightly open in astonishment. "A-a dragonstone?!" He tipped the pouch into the palm of his hand.
Indeed, a small, clear stone landed in the palm of his hand. A smile came to his face, and he couldn't help but rub the small stone with his thumb. "I-I don't know what to say... I-It's been so long... I..." He grinned at Soren. "Thank you."

「 The boy nodded, glad to see he'd been of assistance. He looked about curious, and turned to Amelia with a puzzled expression. Tilting his head a bit, he asked the first question that came to mind, "Who is still at the Fefga house?" Of course, all he could think about was the technicalities. Defenses, provisions, offensive capabilities. The sage had never been one for enjoying the moment. Mist had always told him to `Stop and smell the flowers!`, but he just couldn't being himself to take the time for such trivialities. He'd come with a purpose. Now that that had been carried out, he had to set another goal for himself. 」

Siegell closed his eyes for a moment to check up on Shastah's location. The wyvern was hung up with a few Gargoyles, but they weren't too much of a problem. "This area's too tight, guys, we have to get out into somewhere more open, where they can't surround us as easily!" He moved, then slashed into a wolf and ran forward three steps before suddenly the snow gave way under him and he sank in waist-deep! "Agh! Help!"

「 The sage jumped into action. In the back of his mind, the boy noted that introductions had not been made between himself and the wyvern rider. Hurrying forward, the sage whipped out his trusty Elwind, hurrying to cover the man's back as he pulled himself from the snow. He'd fend off the fiends until then. The creatures of course wasted no time attacking the helpless man, and the sage set about exterminating the beasts one by one. Their resistance was nothing impressive, and most fell with a single hit. 」

Amelia was busy hacking and slashing through a particularly large Mauthe Doog when she heard the sound of snow crunching down, and then Siegell's exasperated cries for help. She held back a laugh; this wasn't a time to be giggling at someone else's misfortune. Amelia finished the Mauthe Doog off, then ran over to him. "Try to push up," she instructed before grabbing him under the arms and heaving up to yank him out of the pit he'd made for himself.

「 Glaring about at the shadows, the sage stayed alert for any other attackers while the warrior was removed from the snow. Things seemed alright until an unfortunate turn of events. A small group of Mogalls emerged from an alleyway, advancing on the party. Readying himself for a real right, the sage began firing attacks left and right. These monsters had resistance, but their attacks wouldn't bother him. The problem was, if he didn't take them out fast, they could deal real damage to the warriors he was defending. 」
「 "Move quickly! Don't fight them, just run!" The boy could handle them himself. "As soon as you are free, Wyvern Rider, take Amelia and go!" 」

Lay off of the sweets! That or wear less armor, geez... Amelia thought., heaving up again to get the wyvern rider out of his pit. The blonde glanced over at Soren for a moment before going back to yanking Siegell up and out of the snow, biting back a scowl. "I can follow you guys perfectly fine on my own, thank you! I don't need his help!" she managed to say without sounding one-hundred-percent snappy.

Siegell pulled his leg out of the grip of a bonewalker and kicked downward on the way up as he was finally hoisted out, pushing up with his hands. "Hrrf!" He fortunately wasn't wearing any armor, still in his nice white and gold with the fur cloak. He grabbed up his glaive and yelled, "Who cares, Amelia, let's go!" He took off at a run after the others, to make sure they'd have more than just mages there to help them.

Amelia stumbled back a pace as Siegell finally came free and got to his feet. "Thank goodness," she mumbled, grabbing her lance out of the snow again. She simply shook her head slightly to Bartre as if to say "Don't ask" before rushing after Siegell. She slipped and slid on the snow; already-trodden snow had a rather annoying tendency to tightly pack and turn slick once enough people have walked upon it, after all. She kept her balance, though, even slinging her lance in a wide arc as they ran and giving a Mauthe Doog a good enough gash to make it run away and lick its wounds without an attack of its own.

Turning around, Bartre was hit by a Mauthe dog, so he went at it...and missed, then got hit again. "Damn they are fast"

Clutching the stone tightly in his hand, Nils half-ran alongside Fire Dragon deeper into town. He didn't want to slip and fall, plus he wanted to let Amelia and Siegell have a chance to catch up: getting separated would be a bad thing.
A Mauthe Doog tried to attack the two, but with a blast from Flametongue, it was nothing but melted flesh.
"Hikaru..." Nils spoke with a soft voice. "Next time, let me try my stone, alright?" Fire Dragon only nodded.
