He sighed. "You know," he said. "It doesn't last for too long, even if they do grow before you do. Now let's go find this Lucien." He looked around, taking advantage of the fact that he was taller than most of the kids there.
"There's a group of little ones over there," he told her, offering his hand. "Do you want to go see if he's with them?"

Joshua smiled at his friend, "I thought you would like him." He said happily. "Mommy said he should be in a box till you get home. That way your daddy can help you!" At Nef's question he showed him the sword. "I haven't named it yet, but Bishop says that all magic swords have names. So I gotta name it something good."

Ginger grinned, plopping down into a sitting position. "Thank you, Nef!" she said, deciding that his name was in need of a shortening. Without another hesitation, her hands went to work, thoroughly shredding the wrapping paper off of the box. She opened the box, looking inside...
Nataya took a seat on the bleachers, watching the festivities unfold. Yes, she'd seen Antony, but he seemed busy. She wouldn't want to interrupt. She lifted one flap on the box, intending to check to make sure the gift inside was okay. But, instead, she found nothing but a blanket. "Uh-oh...." she said, frowning. The gift, it seemed, had decided to take a little trip. That definitely was not good.

Cascati drummed his fingers on the bleachers. "Kaeden is one of the Neverlanders," he said; when it came to knowing who was who, Casca was a pretty reliable bet. "The brunet? With Polly and -- that annoying one that looks like a pirate -- Austin? One of the Texas cities. Autre temps, autres moeurs. -- Let me see."
His sharp gargoyle eyes caught Polly; Kaeden was nowhere in sight. And -- there he was, thick in the crowd of people. Casca gestured. "There he is. Six o'clock. The one with the gap teeth. Am I good or am I good?"

"You're great," agreed Carlisle, though he had barely the faintest idea of who Polly or Austin were and that was only because of their shared dummy maths class. With a grin, he picked up the bag with his gift in it. "I'll be right back, then." He bounded down the bleachers, a little too glad to be giving up the gift to the other boy. (Vaguely, he wondered if Kaeden had gotten all the other gifts all right; it would kind of suck if he hadn't.
Threading his way through the crowd, he reached out to grab the other boy's sleeve. "Hey, Kaeden. I'm Carlisle- mind if I borrow you for a sec?"

Bishop grinned at Elizabeth and nodded. " Sure, sorry I had to go before." She hoped the other girl wasn't mad or anything, this gift giving thing seemed to yank people out of conversations all over the place.

Neflheim was extremely happy with the goldfish. He stared at it as it lazily opened and closed its mouth, hovering peacefully in the tank. Smiling at Joshua, Neflheim said "Oh yes! I read about swords like Excalibur! Or at least Daddy read stories to me." Tilting his head as he thought about a name for the sword, Neflheim added "Maybe you can name it something from a book?"

"Ah, Um, Okay," said Orli, latching onto Antony's hand and shifting her grip on the package. The longer she carried it, the messier the wrapping got. It looked like originally it had had ornaments on it. Maybe. Or polka-dots.
She smiled shyly up at Antony. "Thank you," she added.

Antony led her over to the other babies, a bit shocked to realize that he didn't remember meeting most of them. It had been too long since he went over to the daycare, he had left that to Iggy.
"Hi everyone," he said. "Is there a Lucien here?"

Maddy walked back into the fray of people, feeling a bit lost. Where was everyone? She couldn't spot anyone she knew, and Kash had gone to find the bathroom, so she was pretty much on her own.
She wandered around a bit aimlessly, hoping to find someone or at least meet someone new to stick to.

"Huh? Oh, sure!" Kaeden said, looking back over at Carlisle. He seemed to be one of those from that math class thing he was in. So, well, at least he knew him, in an off handed way.

Lucien somehow found his way back to his friends with a feeling of great achievement and pride at his prior gift departure. Pleased that Zemel had liked his gifts, Lucien found himself even more excited to meet his Secret Santa. Smiling, he came to a stop beside Joshua and waved to everyone.
"I'm back," he giggled, looking around at the newcomers - some familiar, others not, "giving presents is fun! Hi Nef, cool fish!" he said, remembering their trip to the aquarium.

Lucien looked up at Antony, confused. He didn't look familiar, and looking down at Orli, neither did she. Glancing over his shoulder at his friends, he nodded carefully.
"Yeah, yeah I'm Lucien!" he smiled at Orli and waved politely.

Neflheim turned around to see another familiar face - Lucien. "Hi there Lucien! I liked the fishes in the Aquarium and I wanted to get one, but Joshua was so nice to get me one! How about you, what did you get?"
