[[ Dining area - Brain farted. I suppose we need to move or have someone join us? *lures someone* ]]

Bridget squirmed a little bit. "Well, yes and no. The twins wouldn't be able to take care of him since I'm taking care of them. Besides if you were in the same situation - wouldn't you feel bad to call up social services or like... bring the little one to an orphanage? I mean, its my fault he changed." Bridget heaved a sigh, and Balamb mimicked her while trying again to shake the hands that were clapped over his hearing area. His ears were getting hot! "Balamb would have been happy as a lizard - gecko thing, I'm sure a full and happy one in the care of us, but he just changed."

(( Dining area *we probably should move if nobody else joins in, and provide a link to it here. Do you make the new topic?*))

Graficcha hmmd quietly, with a ponderous edge as she let the pea roll over her tongue. So partially the entire guilt-trip was indeed involved in it. She wondered just how much. Then again, it was indeed undeniable that it would be completely and totally wrong to ditch the youngling just because he was a hassle at times. Gah, something was just twisted about it, but there was no point in feeling crabby now. Bridget was doing the right thing, wasn't she?

Still.. Graf was fairly certain Balamb would find out one day. Just how would it affect him, learning about his origin and his guardian's motivation to look after him? She guessed that would mainly depend on just how honest she was about her feelings towards the little newt-boy.

For a while, Graf mulled that over, let the thought settle, before humming again. ".. yes, it would be against all morals to abandon him into a world where people turn a cold shoulder to those born.. different way too often. At least you have an idea of what you're dealing with.." she said softly, watching him squibble. "Do you... could you.. love him as your own child? Despite all that happened?" she eventually asked, almost wistfully.

She also had a little niggling urge to reach over to nudge her into letting his ears go, aww you little fuzzle. So mean of us to keep you in the dark eh.

[[ Dining area -shoved post into ORP.]]

Bridget watched almost anxiously as Grafficcha rolled around whatever was going on in her head. When her mouth finally opened she felt better. At least she understood from the information that was supplied.

"I do love him," she slowly let her hands drift away to settle on the sides of her hips, "He isn't my blood, but that means I couldn't love him less. I have to admit, he has stirred things up though. Its funny, you should love someone first then have a kid but I guess that's not how it works in Gaia, huh? Have to admit - I don't know when I'll get used to hearing Mama. Maybe I'll eventually will, but that is what I am now."

Bridget nodded affirmitavely. She looked at her plate and then her empty glass and then noticed that she had forgotten drinks. "Oh, did you want to drink anything? I'm sorry about that." She looked slightly sheepish.

"Juice?" Balamb asked tentively.

(( Dining area *yar*))

Graficcha's soft smile had gained in energy as she has taken in the woman's response. Yeees, very nice, this was what she'd hoped to hear.

"Young people aren't rarely a source of... how do I put this.. excitement and excitation." she giggled quietly. "Sometimes I wonder why we grow up at all, all we learn is to deny ourselves the right to utter a few blunt truths. Like the fact we just can't enjoy long dreary rants of old dreary grownups." her tongue poked out just a little in a silly grin. "Well, we can't exactly leave the world to those without experience. Not to mention the fact they're blissfully self-centered." she chuckled, and nodded at the suggestion of something fluid.

"Juice sounds good, actually. Should I go and fetch us something?" she suggested warmly. Whoo, she felt like her cheeks were on fire, all cuddly-cosy suddenly.

((The event will run until this upcoming Sunday. Please, everyone make your last posts and wrap up your RP's. >w< ))

A few amplifiers placed around the event hall crackled to life. A warm, familiar voice poured forth from the loud speakers and echoed in the relatively desolate rooms. Josh spoke crisply, “If everyone would please make their way outside. We have a special surprise for all the event goers tonight.”

He set down his microphone and peeked at his pocket watch. He took great pride in counting off every second that ticked by. One… Two… Three… There. Five minutes had passed since his announcement. That should be enough time for everyone to make their way outside. The boy’s gloved hand put away the gold watch and instead pulled out a sleek black box. His thumb delicately flipped back a small switch on the box and gingerly swept over a equally tiny button. Click…

A series of explosions rippled through the night’s silence and signaled the Christmas event’s eminent close. Josh had not lied when he had promised to make the event go out with a bang. The boy made his way back towards the small crowd watching the fireworks show. For now, he was going to enjoy his hard work and try to find LuLu. It was about time he made his leave….

At that announcement, Graficcha cut short the conversation and swiftly took Bridget and Balamb outside with her to watch the spectacle that unfolded. Wouldn't want to miss this after all the effort that had visible gone into it.

As she looked at the glimmer above her, she wondered if she could stay in touch with Bridget and this little one. She certainly hoped so.

[[ I wrap up before completely going to hiatus. ]]

"Well that's that then!" She grinned as the whirlwind of plates clinked together and Balamb making one last grab at his fruity treasure. He was soon distracted by the display of fireworks once the trio was ushered out happily. After he got over his intial spew of white toxins from his skin, (The fireworks' first boom scared him something fierce!) he seemed to rather enjoy them.

"Don't mind - we'll be home soon," she commented with a scrunched face, as she wiggled out her cell phone. Type-type, beep-beep. She traded information with Graf. Perhaps sometime they could have a nice chat again!
