Eguchi stopped messing with his hakama and brought his dominant hand up into a ready position, beginning to concentrate as he eyed his captain. "Don't worry, I just wanted to know if the blast would be as big if it were a higher level shinigami against a lower level." He closed his eyes once again and assumed the position, feet spreading a little as he prepared to fire upon his captain. His reitsu had begun to accumulate much quicker as he continued to practice the kido, so it didn't take him as long to summon enough energy to produce a proper hado. He opened his eyes, bringing his hand out and down to aim directly at his captain. "Hado 33: Blue Fire Crash Down!" He bellowed as the blue orb shot from his hand, heading on a straight path for the center of Yuki's body.

Yuki, took a deep breath. She knew the worst the kido could do to her was burn her, and that was nothing worth crying over, since she worked with fire every day. She focused her raitsu inwards, drawing it in, and becoming rather meditative. Her deep well of riatsu, in responce formed a second skin over her, as it tried to escape more naturally. In turn when the kido hit her it stopped, trying to burn through the second layer of riatsu she had created, to no avail. All that happened was she was forced backwards a foot or so from the pressure, and she was still standing. Eguchi just wasn't strong enough to make a dent in someone of captain level.
"There... Now, that's probably not the same effect you would get if you shot... say... Amie. But it gives you a good idea of the punch behind the kido at least."
She said, pointing to the skid marks in the dirt where her feet had dug in to keep her standing as she slid backwards.

Eguchi stepped forward to inspect the ground in front of his captain and nodded at the futility of his powers against the highest level of squad capabilities. His disappointment in the eplosiveless reaction wasn't real evident, but one could still put two and two together and figure out what was ticking inside his thoughts. "Not even a scratch." He said abscent-mindedly. "Hmm."

Amie walked into the field, whistling. It seemed like she was the first one here, so she leaned up against a tree, and started reading a couple pages to a book she was interested in. It would be her first training session as a Vice Captain, but she doubted anything would really change. She still had a lot to learn from Yukimaru-sama. She chuckled, before becoming absorbed in her book.

Yuki walked into the training grounds, late as usual. She had been drinking heavily the night before, trying to put a buzz between her and reality that seemed to have her paving the way in blood and broken bones recently. Thankfully none of the students had arrived yet, and she took a seat, trying to clear her head in meditation. The hangover wasn't helping at all.

Amie arrived, incredibly embarrassed that she was late. She spent all that time talking to Fefnir, she totally lost track of when the practice was. She arrived before Yuki, and sighed apologetically. "Sorry I'm late,Yukimaru-sama. Here and ready when you are."

Yuki opened one eye from her meditation, not that she had gotten far with it, still being hung over. Instantly her eyes where seared with bright sunlight. She groaned, cranky with the sun for deciding to shine.
"Not so loud.... Is it just you?"
She demanded, seeming more cranky than usual.

Amie nodded. "Yes, it's just me." Huh. I wonder where everyone is. She pondered idly. She felt slightly guilty for not watching her volume. Yuki-sama did, after all,spend the night atthe bar. She was probably feeling the after effects. The liver could only process one "drink" [Considered to be one beer, 4 ounces of whine, or a properly concocted mixed drink] an hour. So it would be a bit before she worked it all out of her system. Ouch.

((Sorry for the lateness. We just got back.))
Eguchi quietly made his way onto the field, numb from the hangover he had, but not totally incapacitated by the amount of alcohol he'd consumed earlier. His came up to shield his slanted eyes from the sun's extra harmful rays as he continued to draw closer. "Sorry I'm late, captain." He said in a low tone as he finally came up upon her and Amie. "The mind is still a little cloudy..."

Yuki stood up, slowly, keeping her eyes closed until the very last moment, and when she did open them it was just enough to see only the necessary things in front of her face. With a groan she looked at Amie, still looking really cranky.
"Fine... We will learn Shunpo then... If anyone else shows I'll teach you to silent cast kido..."
She said, raising her hand so she could shield her eyes from the blinding sun.
