SirBayer has expended an Awesome Point to adjust to the way spirit guns shoot.

Marten's shots hit home after a few test rounds, knocking out the wasplings one at a time. Michael's shots did the same. However, something on the ground soon attracted their attention: it had the appearance of a tailless dog whose head was replaced with a large metallic drill. It had an admittedly phallic quality, especially with how the skin drew back from the drill's... tip.

((Awwwwwww.

But fine, it's a worthy loss.))

Michael immediately switched targets. It was... no, he wasn't going to go there. If it got close though he was going to try to punt it. Because that's obviously what you did to dogs.

Marten continued to fire on the bees, his focus mostly on them. He kept an eye on the dog. If it advanced, he would shoot it.
He said as much out loud.

The drilldog charged at them. Two more came around the corner. Then another three after that.

Stupid... swarming little... things. They were like zerglings. Swarming. Swarming zerglings. Swarmlings?

"What the hell is going on?" Marten said, opening up on the swarmlings. He fired indiscriminately. Now that he knew there was no ammo limit, he paid no attention to it. He just. Kept. Firing.
Boy, how he wished he had something faster than a pistol. Leaving Michael to hit the bees, he focused solely on the swarmlings.

Michael bit down harder on the cigarette, baring his teeth. Shot after shot rang out, as he consistently tried to empty his never-ending magazine into drilldog after drilldog. "I don't know, we've got to get clear!" Michael suggested.

The drilldogs stopped coming after several seconds, but two of them remained close; one jumped at Michael, the other at Vincent.

Meanwhile, the wasplings had gotten uncomfortably close. One grabbed for Marten with one of its... headclaws.

((SirBayer, your character had shooting experience - thus, it required AP to account for what most people wouldn't know not to compensate for in the first place. Joe gets it for free specifically because he doesn't have shooting experience. Lacking any knowledge of how much a pistol should kick, he adjusts quickly.))

Marten flinched back, shooting wildly above his head.

The claw snapped at his hand steadily as it approached. Another waspling came from the side.

Michael lurched out a heavy fist, striking down the drilldog on the side and not on the drill, and started one-handed-ly shooting in the general direction of the wasps. As soon as he had a moment to focus, he could start using two hands to fire, and he intended to.

Marten continued to back up, firing at the bugs around him and doing his best not to hit his human allies.

The drilldog twisted and its spinning drill caught Michael's foot a little before it was struck to the ground.

Michael has received minor damage to his foot.

The drilldog got up immediately after Michael knocked it down.

Marten's shots hit several wasplings. Their ranks seemed to thin out, but their slow yet steady advance was unnerving.

Michael allowed his foot to let go of its weight, dropping down with all that weight onto the drilldog's back. He pressed his pistol into its back and fired perhaps five or ten times.

After he took down the wasplings around him, he quickly blew a few of them out of the air around Michael, clearing him some space to focus on the drilldog.
Marten stepped forward to Michael's right, standing a step behind him, and opening up on the air, trying to match the number of wasplings with his bullets.

The wasplings steadily advanced, but Michael finished off the Drilldog without incident.

((Also, keep in mind: you can generate the EQUIVALENT of one-event APs through sufficient pre-planning. Or the element of surprise. Or combinations of those.))
