((OoC: We will be RPing the championships in the future. If you don't take the test it will be difficult for you to participate with the rest of the group. Also everyone who exceeds expectations on the test will receive a reward. I highly suggest you take it even if you might not get the standard 3 Pokemon for the Poke Cup.))

[OoC: So... Do the test anyway and lose in the championship? Your not really letting me do much deciding with my character. Besides theres lots of other things my character can do at the Plateau other then Battle. Running Extra Security, just watching, or something else.]

((OoC: I just wanted to make sure you were fully aware of all consequences. If you really don't want to participate in that part then you don't have to. We'll probably RP our practice battle at the same time as the others face off against their judges.))
Gaddwick nodded. "I understand. Kadabra might not be in top shape at the start of the tournament either. How about we take care of your evaluation right after the exam. The bus won't be getting here for until around 1:00 so that would give us around an hour before we need to go."

Kian was only a few steps ahead of Skitty, who had caused the bridge to wobble alot more. Kian almost lost his balance. He stood still in one spot untill the bridge was stable again. Then with one leap, jumped to the edge of the bridge and next to the stairs. He quickly ran down them, and looked around for the tree. It wasn't too far off, he darted towards the tree. He was worried that his pause might have cost him the race though. He wasn't going to look around to see where Skitty was though, it would cause him to lose concentration.

Neko Cap Gaddwick raised his hand up to Jack. "Wait a moment Jack." He turned back to Hiro. "You wouldn't necessarily enter the main cup event. It would be good practice too. I'm not going to force you but if you take the test it will make your initial evaluation go easier. Usually we either battle with new recruits or send them on small missions. But I'll have the opportunity to watch you face off against your judge if you take the test. I'll leave it up to you. He divided his attention for a moment and turned to Jack. "Next time don't interrupt unless there is an emergency. What is it?" "One of my friends is letting us borrow his old office as our HQ if you want."

Meanwhile, Eryk was squatting in the ashes of the old HQ site, surveying, studying and taking in the emotional impact the fire had wrought upon the scene and the surrounding areas. The Rangers had tried to fight off the inevitable, but alas the story was concluded when the supports burned and the entire structure came crashing down.
The past, the present, the future, all was one within its own time. All paths eventually cross, all roads lead to the same destiny. What was that destiny? Where does the road truly end? When does the fire stop providing warmth and start burning the flesh that put it into motion?
Nothing truly dies. Nothing truly lives. One must experience death in order to live. One must know of the past to head to the future. A fresh start. A new tomorrow. The promise of a better day, a new hope, a fresh start.
The seventeen year old boy stood up and looked at his team mates, they had been sent as part of a re-evaluation squad to reassess the Branch's ability before their Fall. They could find much, but what they had could hold in the balance the Team's future.
Walking further now to the outer rim of the old HQ, Eryk found his partner, Xatu, deep in meditation. "What do you see boy?" Eryk asked as the Pokemon broke its concentration and let the teen into his mind. Interesting times are ahead indeed, but they need us back at the examination. Some...things... have arisen that may develop into needing our attention. It's not too far. Shall I teleport?
"What about the rest of my Squad?" Eryk asked, Stephanie had flying types, and the ocean was full of fish they could swim on, he shrugged before picking up his radio. "Guys, I'm headed out, Xatu had a vision, and we're needed elsewhere. Finish up and report back to the Examination HQ." he finished as he let the radio drop back around his neck as he reached for Xatu. Together they disappeared.
((OOC: Neko mentioned it would be hard to fit people in if people were to show up later, so I made something up. ^_^ Hope it's alright. Actually, I don't care too much if it's right or not. (Voice in head: There you go with that brazen attitude of yours...) Shut up voice.))

((OoC: You could come back as Aaron if you like. I was saying that it would be difficult to start a new character outside the exam. Ginji could show up as a surprise judge at the exam. Also do you plan on having your new character as the leader or just around for evaluations. Thought you weren't going to have enough time.))

Skitty followed Kian down the steps, spotting the tree a short distance away. She realized this was the last part of the race, and now it depended on speed. She would have to run as fast as she could if she wanted to reach the tree before Kian, who was already ahead of her. Skitty dashed straight towards the tree, barely looking where she was going as she put all of her energy into trying to get there first.
Alice could see that the race was almost over, and watched intently, not wanting to miss a thing. The race had been very close so far, and she wondered who would win.

Skitty had made it to the tree, but the problem was that she didn't know who had gotten there first, her or Kian. She tilted her head and looked around, confused, and decided to return to the starting line, where Alice was waiting for her.
"That was great, Skitty," Alice said, grinning.

Having past Lavender Town recently, Emmy couldn't help but feel heavyhearted after seeing the cemetery. Of course, it was customary to visit it when passing and pray for the souls of the Pokemon. She also visited the Lavender Volunteer Pokémon House as no trainer in their right mind wouldn't. Volunteering to care for abandoned Pokemon--even for a mere hour or two--brought joy to not only the Pokemon! Although this brought cheer to her, she still wasn't at her 100%.
This all changed when she finally reached her destination, Saffron City, the "shining, golden land of commerce". Not knowing how long she might take to officially become a Pokemon Ranger, she decided to first check into the Pokemon Center and ask for directions to the Ranger HQ. The people of Saffron were considerably kind and the city infrastructure was thankfully easy to navigate!
Having reached the front of the building, entered the building with a bold step. Her face, flushed with excitement, was a brilliant shade of rosy pink and her eyes--they sparkled with immense delight!
"Hello!" She announced to the people and Pokemon in the room, "I'm Emmy! I was wondering if anyone could help me fully understand what it takes to be a Pokemon Ranger and hopefully... I could register as one as well!"
(Not a very good intro post (but hopefully passable!), but I have to sleep and kind of wanted to start soon! Sorry if I couldn't convey my character's personality etc into the post! >< I wish I could have written more!)

She pointed at a pair of * posters (Second post)* on the wall. "You're looking for the SilphCo. Building. You can see the back of it right outside. Just circle around it and ask at the front desk." ((OoC: You don't have to ask. Signs will point you towards a table in back that Gaddwick is at.))
