Callista lost her breath as the floor turned to ice, causing her step back further. She watched, in awe, as the men became coated in ice. Finally Ray slumped to the floor and Callista ran over to him, throwing herself to his side and calling his name softly. "Ray? Ray? Are you okay? Talk to me please," she said. Her hand was on his back, and the other hand was on his shoulder, shaking him gently. By now, she stopped calling to him and began to hum for some odd reason. It was a lullaby her mother had sung to her when she was a baby...

"Stay down," she ordered. "Don't worry about me, are you okay though?" Concern and fear was showing in her purple eyes, which were now blurred with tears.

Callista quickly crawled around to face Ray and then gripped his head in her hands and kissed him on the lips. "Whatever they've done to you never happened," she repeated over and over, hugging him close.

"Sure, sure," Callista said and arose slowly, her green cloak billowing around her. She offered her hand to help Raykine up and her purple eyes locked with his for a moment, and she blushed a deep red. "There's no need to get anything. I have it all, I just need to get my horse."
The kitchen men went outside and grabbed her horse before she had gone outside, and offered the reigns to Callista. "Safe ride lady," he said.
Callista mounted and watched Ray carefully, hoping he won't go crazy on her.

Callista rode behind Raykine and worried about him constantly. It was nearly an hour before her horse came to an abrupting halt and reared in protest. "Woah! Easy, easy. What is it?" she asked her mount. Looking around, she could see nothing in the immediate area, for there was only miles and miles of grassland and nothing was in sight; not even a tree. She dismounted and looked around, looking for something that would've frightened her horse, and then she looked to Ray questioningly.

Callista had to hold her own stomach from retching as she saw Raykine empty his stomach. Before she knew it, her horse had ran off and she was being carried by a panicking Ray. Death on the wind? she thought to herself and pressed her head into his shoulder, closing her eyes tightly. His amazing speed made her almost sick and then she couldn't take it any longer. "Put me down. Ray, I'm going to be sick," she protested, her purple eyes were beginning to turn a light gray and her purple hair was blowing in her face, not helping her at all.

Terror flooded into Callista's eyes. Father never told me there would be this much danger! she said to herself. Even though she was in Ray's arms (?) she could move her hands around freely, and she began to chant very quietly and quickly, moving her hands in circular motions. Her abilities were rare but very insignifact, but it came in handy sometimes. She began to take the sound waves around her and bend them, to amplify the sound of hoof beats following them. "Where are we going to go? Ala'dorma isn't for at least another half a days ride!" she shouted over the wind to Raykine.

She was shocked at the sudden transformation, but didn't dwell on the fact too long for this was new for her. She gripped the fur of Raykine's back and held on tight, careful not to pull anything off of course. To her it seemed that the hoofbeats were getting louder, but then she remember she didn't cancel her spell. Letting go of Ray's fur was hard for her, but Callista did it and cancelled her spell and then gripped him again. C'mon. Help us, someone. Anyone that's near us! "How long can you hold up for?"
