"There is a soul.... or more accurately a soul overlording several in one vessel." Jaden muttered, his eyes shifting slightly. It was different now, the wild innocence replaced with a tense and focused animal nature.
"I'm familiar with it, the display, the icy feeling in the air even hours after it's gone."
He could hear it now. Heartbeat, almost dead. "Follow." He wandered around down on all fours, moving by following his ears.

"It's not here to hurt you... But then I don't know if it would hurt you or not." Jaden muttered with a gentle growl before he stood up and ripped a fraction of the crumbling wall apart.
Down on the floor was the body of an animalian ram demon in the elder twilight of his years, and supposedly dead. But Jadens ears could detect life. Leaning down he tapped the demons fragile chest. "Wake up old man. I need information." He jabbed the old man again, much harder this time.
"Hey." he said turning to the girl with the accent, his red eyes glimmering. "If you know CPR then get over and help this person. I want him alive."

Jadens wolfen ears flicked gently in the direction of the voice before he turned slightly. "Now I wonder why I would be hear the voice of a dead man." he muttered before prodding the fading demon. "Somebody wake him up!"

Adolfina had found a protruding skeletal beam, no longer useful to structure, but comfortable enough to sit on. She lept up agilly and perched slightly above the two men to watch. She'd never seen many actual demons in her life..

"How interesting," she said in a hushed tone.
Many of those in her alpha council back home had been healers.
"You're not very useful, Jaden," Adolfina observed, pulling her knees up to her chest.

Jaden turned to Adolfina. "Quiet girl!" he snapped, his eyes blazing as his hair bristled. This was a far more brutal person than she had met before, a person that looked like the scars that marred him belonged there. Deep inside the puppy whimpered, unhappy that his playmate was being bullied and unhappy he had been forced away, but he prefered being hidden behind the wolf for his own safety.
Turning back to the demon Jadens tail swished through the ashes, He was impatient. "Talk old one. What happened?"

The aged demon shuffled up into a sitting position and coughed, trying to regain the ability to breath at a normal rate.
"I have been down here... for a long time..." he muttered finally. "You could always here... horribly things. We would be removed from your cells and never return, any of our loved ones were taken from us. The humans were brutal. But something happened."
A sudden fit of coughing came over the demon as he doubled over onto the ground. It was unclear whether it was physical stress or if the memories were just too painful. It took him a long time but he finally recovered.
"We didn't know what was happening at first. But we could feel things getting cold. At first we thought the humans were trying to torment us but then we heard the gunfire. Most of us didn't know what happened but I saw some of the humans trying to defend their horrible building. They were met by.... a monster. Something in the shape of a pale man but with an icy demenor. He was.... cold. I'm not sure what he was but the he weilded a glass blade and none of the humans weapons could touch him..." The demon rubbed his eyes to clear some of the ash from them. "I could only see him for a moment but... Even knowing what the humans had done I was far more scared of the white man.... He was smiling as he cut the humans away, like it was just a game for him he knew they couldn't win. I have lived long and rarely seen something that cold and calculated in battle, it's not normal."
