Serena smiles at Tora. "Just remember that we will all have to take care of her,"Serena remined as she heard someone else come in. Serena turned to the new girl and smiled.

She hops back through the door. She is laden with wrapped bundles as she smiles and giggles. She kicks off her white sneakers and dashes for the maiko room where she begins to tear apart her packages with much gusto to reveal a new wardrope. She squeals and tries several things on all at once while dancing about the room. She finally lands on a futon she has claimed for her own. She curls up into a snug little ball with a soft purr before finally going to sleep surrounded by silk kimonos and other clothing.
(( whee Just thought I'd type a post to explain my many changes. I usually change my outfit everyday not to mention to fit the mood. 4laugh ))

Mizu hesitates at the front gate of the Kazenotanpopo Okiya, her arms filled with simple garments and the final few of her parents' relics. Now that she is standing before the okiya itself, she can't help but feel slightly nervous. Reaching out towards the door, she knocks softly and waits.
"Hopefully I will fit in..." she whispers to herself as she waits outside, hoping someone will let her in.

"Ano..." Mizu shifted her things in her arms, willing them not to ache as she knocked, slightly louder on the gate. "Ano...is anyone inside?" she called hesitantly, blushing in embarrassment as men and women in the streets glanced at the lone figure strangely. Finally deciding that no one was inside, she set her few yukata on a low, brick wall beside the okiya front gate, her fingers involuntarily coming up to touch the black velvet choker with the ornate moon and raindrop pendant around her throat, the most priceless piece of her deceased mother's jewelry. "Well Kaa-san...I am a maid now...at the Kazenotanpopo Okiya..." A small smile curled her lips slightly as her sight turned inwards, to the last image she had of her mother. "And I will make you and Tou-san proud of me when I become a geisha...watch over me Kaa-san...Mizu-chan will be a geisha one day...just you wait..."

Presently, Mizu settles for sitting on the low brick wall as well, her feet tired from standing up so long in her lacquered zori. Her tabi were somewhat worn and didn't provide enough cushion for extended standing. A cool breeze ruffled her long, dark hair, playing with the silk ribbon that held back her hair as it fell down in a cascade, nearly to her knees, the burgundy of the ribbon knotted at the small of her back. Her eyes slowly began to close, tired from the long day of walking and looking for the okiya, and in a matter of minutes, she was dozing, nearly asleep.

Yawning, Mizu rubbed her eyes sleepily and blushed hotly, realizing she'd been asleep on the streets. Berating herself for being so careless, she pulled out a small, black book, and a pencil from the folds of one of her yukata, and opened it. Inside could be seen the writings of a careful hand, the same hand that had stenciled "Memoirs of Mizu" on the black-leather cover. In an effort to keep herself awake, she began to write in the journal, waiting for the geisha and maiko to return, perhaps from the teahouse.
"What to say today..."
((Memoirs of Mizu is my journal, please read?))

Serena hears noises outside and goes to the front door of the okiya. She sees a girl sitting on the brick wall and smiles. "I am sooo sorry, I didn't hear you knock. Please come in!'Serena greeted, motioning for the girl to come in.

Mizu blushed, getting to her feet so quickly the book in her hands nearly tumbled to the ground. Regaining her composure, she tucked it back within the folds of her few yukata before following the regal geisha into the okiya.
Slipping out of her lacquered zori, she followed the geisha into the main chamber feeling a tad awkward.

Mizu smiled back. 'I think I will like her' she thought to herself. "Could you tell me where I ought to sleep?" she asked timidly, brushing back a lock of her hair. She kept her eyes respectfully averted before realizing she'd forgotten something. "Ano...watashi wa Mizu Odoriko," she added with a small blush of embarrassment.

Mizu smiled, bowing respectfully to the geisha, whose name she did not know, she turned towards the hall, careful not to dislodge any of the things tucked away between folds of the cloth in her arms. Taking the small steps characteristic of anyone training to be a geisha, which had been taught to her since she could walk, she headed down the hall to her room.
