"I can not belive that they have not come after me yet", Ryra wispers half to herself and half to Koji.

"My brother, or as I call him Hotshot, and the rest of the clan. They say that it is against the law to go out of our area and such," Ryra says with a sigh, "And since my brother has wings, I would have thought they would be here already."

"Hm? Oh, right." After searching for a short while, Koji found a tin with cocoa power generously packed into it. "Good, that's one part found. Now to get a kettle...."

Ryra opens a cabnet and finds it full of pots, pans, and kettles.
"Is this 'kettle' in here?" she asks.

"Oh, right. I guess elves might not know about human tools." Koji chuckled and grabbed a kettle, and then walked over to the sink. "This is used to heat water over a stove." He said, and turned the water off with a flick of the handle. Placing the kettle on the stove, he twisted the knob to fire up the burners, and turned back to the cabinets. "Now while that heats up, I have to find you a mug."

"A mug is a kind of cup. And humans can't use magic, that's why we have technology instead. I'm not really sure if anthros can use magic." Koji said, pulling a blue mug out of the cupboard. "Our machines are almost as good as magic and require less teaching to be used."

"So", Ryra says slowly catching on,"This technology is magic?"
She walks to the kettle and says a few words under her breath and makes the water start to boil and then says,"Your magic is slow."

"It may be slow, but you can't miscast by losing concentration." Koji replied, emptying out an arbitrary amount of cocoa into the mug. He then took the kettle and poured some of the water into it. "It should be done in a few minutes."
