~Fortune The mercenary fought the urge to lean further away. Only complete stillness could possibly keep him from being discovered now. Even so, he didn't have to answer to this character - and it wouldn't be unorthodox to have an excuse of watching the nearby battle instead - so Nicholas wasn't worried about what would happen if he was seen and had to account for his actions. Star moved closer to the house and spotted a man standing in the shadows. "Who are you and why are you watching me?" she asked.

~Fortune Nicholas laughed aloud to himself, then walked from the shadows - but remaining on the raised front porch. Looking at Star through the property fence (because if she was on the other side of it, she'd be trespassing), the mercenary chuckled. "I'm sorry if I seemed to be watching you, friend," he answered, "but I was more interested in the going-ons over there." With that, he pointed towards the calming battle. "You wouldn't happen to know what all that supernatural business is about, would you?" He asked finally, returning his gaze to the battle.

"No i'm sorry to say i dont. But i can tell you this, this is the most fierce battle i have even seen the two of their armies fight. This is the same thing that happens every night." Star said to the stranger. "Your not from around here are you?" she asked

~Fortune "Mm, no," Nicholas admitted after a moment, pretending to be enthralled with the battle when he was really examining Star very closely. "My name would be Nicholas - what would be yours?" He asked, still pretending to be rather disinterested in the (although he did not know it) vampire.

"I am Star. Nice to meet you Nicholas. May i ask what your doing at the mayor's house?" She looked at him and studied him with hooded eyes she was not sure she trusted this stranger.

~Fortune Nicholas broke his gaze of the battle to view to fully look at Star now. "He called me here - to do what, I do not know. But it seems as if he has fled... and I have nary a clue as to why." He finished, sarcastically. Well, it hadn't been a lie.

"Hmm, that is strange." Star said. "So what is your profession if you don't mind my asking?" She said looking toward the battle and laughing at the Doctor and Necromancer. She couldn't help it they were being funny tonight.

~Fortune Nicholas eyed Star curiously. "What is your profession?" He countered, his gaze being once-again drawn to the battle. "And do they do that every night?"

"I have no profession." Star said somewhat mysteriously. "And yes they do fight every night although i don't think they will tomorrow night." "So what is your profession?" she asked again.

~Fortune Nicholas looked away from the fight to gaze at Star once again. "You surely are curious, my dear. I have no profession." He said this without blinking, without looking away, his eyes and his voice resonating with unwavering calm. The mercenary, who had indeed just lied, began mentally calculating all he would need to request from the monks. Undead, wizards, werewolves... all he needed was a Frankenstein and some vampires to make the movie episode complete.

Star only laughed. "Yes i guess i am. So you have no profession either huh." "They mayor is on vaction from what i hear." she told him.
