And keep your boatman and his boat safe, they're both awful expensive to find someone who's willing to do it so often for so cheap."

((You need to come to some sort of consensus here. Weapons research also benefits mercenaries, but at some point all of the agents will become full level ones, and then we'll need to be doing research there or they'll dead-end and the enemy's agent's won't.

Rockets, however, aren't a half-bad idea.))

Gabriel sighed at Amelie's words and turned to glare at her, "You haven't listened to a word I said, have you? Chances are, you won't be able to get a shot by yourself, we need to work as a team."

"My point exactly," said Gabriel, looking at Cado, "Chances are, we'll need to get close to kill him, or wait until he comes outside, but it would probably be best to get this done fast."

"I agree," Cado stated, standing. "Let's move out, shall we?"

Gabriel was right behind Shae.

Unfortunately, none of them walked out.

Hades smiled. "Dismissed," he informed them. Then the floor dropped open, and everything, including the chairs, was dumped onto a short slide, which slide down to the level below, straight into a cargo elevator. The elevator promptly began falling fast enough that microgravity took hold for a very brief period of time, then slowed very, very quickly, such that the mercenaries and the agents without heart implants blacked out for a split second. When the ride was over, the door opened, letting in an odor strong enough to kill small children. Alyx retched and nearly lost her lunch.

The elevator led out onto a short wooden dock, placed in the middle of a very dark river. They could hear it flowing, and see that one direction was slightly downhill, far in the distance. Weak fluorescent lights lit some of the tall domed brick construction, revealing a boat or hovercraft or something floating on the river of poo. It looked sort of like a fishing boat, but with bigger engines and no enclosed spaces. At the helm was a man wearing a ridiculous yellow plastic raincoat (smeared with brown), a pair of worn-out jeans (smeared with brown), and a ridiculous yellow plastic sailor hat (not smeared with brown, but in the light it was hard to tell the difference.) "All aboard," he suggested cheerily, and waited for his victims to get on. Once they were, the boat's engines roared and the boat pulled away from the dock. Almost immediately the tunnel became dark, and the skipper activated a few spotlights and a few area lights, which served to illuminate the tunnel far better than the fluorescent lights had.

"Everyone ready? Guns loaded?" the boatman asked, carefully navigating the boat up the excrement.
