Ian Frost and his comrades had been fighting his way across the war zone for weeks with the caravan following behind them. <"Izo, guys, get your a** in gear. Those raiders won't wait for us to get ready."> This was met by several grumbling responses from the rest of them. Reaching down for his blades, one of the group shouted to the rest. <"Sandstorm! Three thraks and coming fast!"> Smiling Ian focused his mind and tried to force the sand to blow over them and out of harms way. Only for it to blow straight into them, causing darkness to fall over the small group.
In that darkness something changed. The black stayed but the sand stopped whipping at Ian's face, pressure squeezing his head like a vice. Closing his eyes, Ian passed out.
~ ~ ~ ~ ~
Shooting up Ian got tangled in the bed sheets and fell on to the ground next to the bed. What's going on. Where am I. He was in a plain yet warm room with no indication of being disturbed or forcefully moved. Shaking the sand from his hair Ian stood up and looked aound hoping for some clues. The only things he could see were a small wooden unit and a door. On the unit was a note with directions to another part of where ever he was.Picking up his blades, Ian placed them into the holster on his leg, opened the door and stepped out, ready for whatever might happen.
((A thrak is about half a mile.))

((Articx, how about a walking/dancing cactus that looks like it must be the one talking, but really, it's the fly on the cactus that's talking.
Hi, Firestat! Yays!
Oh, man, this page is all OOC, but oh well. Alright, so I guess when we start, we'll start from where we left off. I'll do a recap post before we begin in May/June. First, we'll at least get Articx to catch up to the dinner. However, he'll greet the other characters as they're leaving. Any other new characters that join will be like that... so we don't have time differences.))

"That's the way boys, I think we might stand a chance tonight!"
A loud roar of cheers and laughter erupted from the ocean and rain soaked deck of Chase's ship. It was another stormy sea night, one the pirates were oh so used to. The sound of guns, swords clashing, thunder, and the waves slamming into the ship were the orchestra for the night, while lightning provided the light for this grand battle. Chase and his men were engaged with navy soldiers, having just stolen quite a bit of money and treasure from them. It was a typical heist, though the navy had caught wind and stowed away on Chase's ship, hoping to set up an ambush. The pirates were no push overs, though, hardened by years of rough life on the sea. The fight was going their way.
Chase brought Tidebreaker down upon an unfortunate foe, cleaving him rather cleanly. He then brought out one of his pistols and prepared to fire a round into a charging navy officer when coils of darkness began to surround him. Confused and nervous, Chase struggled to break free, but the darkness only spread further, until he was caught alone in the dark and silence. He fired his pistol wildly into the abyss, desperate for a solution. He found none and let his gun fall to the ground. He then was overcome not by fear, but sleep.
Chase awoke in a peaceful room, plain and white, feeling much lighter than usual. He sat in a panic, not feeling his beloved Tidebreaker at his side. He calmed down when he found it and all of his other gear on the wall, neatly stacked with a paper note on top of his guns. Standing up, the pirate read over the note, seeing that it wanted him to head to some room somewhere. Taking a moment to put on all his gear, Chase thought silently to himself. With no other clues and a hand on Tidebreaker's handle, Chase left his room and headed into the hall.

((Restart Post/Summary
Articx(Ian) is going to be away this week.))
While the universe was in balance and a peaceful place, all was good and well. In general, that is, besides the common wars that occurred every now and then due to random disputes. However, recently the universe's many corners have been beset by disturbances including widespread natural catastrophies such as earthquakes of terrible magnitude and dark skies of electrifying charges.
Several of the worlds' inhabitants have felt that something was wrong, but none knew of how and why. Some of the universe's occupants such as the humans Jade Reinhart Delacroix, Hope Stevenson, Jonathan Ingram, lycan Cyler Valentine, Tauren Mishaweha(Misha) were strangely pulled unconsciously into a black vortex and woke up in a plain room with plain furniture. Each, upon finding a note, set out to find the dining room. Each also found that their own preferred weapon(s) were also in the room whether or not they remembered having them before blacking out.
The characters met others, and were all similarly confused. Upon setting out to solve their questions, the characters separated and met creatures that seemed to test them.
Jade met a red flower that walked on its leaves. Cyler, a cute pink kitten with horrendously large teeth hidden in its mouth and a tail with invisible spikes. Hope met a tiny fairy that glowed in the dark that tinkled random musical melodies when it flew. Jonathan met a small treasure box that moved on its invisible legs and spilled water every time it stopped moving. Mishaweha met a talking bandage.
The creatures led them to the dining room, where the characters were served their favorite foods. There, they met the frail, coughing Lady, who informed them that the universe was breaking down, and that they were the chosen ones who had to save the universe. To save the universe, they had to find the artifacts. The Lady then requested that they rest and absorb the information, and gave them time.
Meanwhile, the Sand elf Ian Frost, who awakened later than the others stepped from the room he was in to find the dining hall. He was to find a dancing/walking/talking cactus...except the one actually talking was the fly on the cactus.
Chase awakened about the same time as Ian. Stepping out into the hallway and wandering, he would meet a badly dressed pirate doll, who would seem more like a cosplayer than a real pirate because it made bad imitations of pirate speak and would rather speak nobly.
The others now leave the dining room and are free to explore the castle. Within the castle is a library with books on all subjects including other worlds but no information on the specific details of the world's situation, kitchen, rooms, battle practice rooms...

"To be honest, I'd perfer it if I stayed here and heard more about this. If it's really as serious as it sounds then who knows what could happen in that one day. Plus I like getting things done ASAP." Jonathan said. He looked towards the others to see if any of them had felt the same way as he did and stayed seated at his place at the table, the food still untouched.

Upon closing the door, it slid backwards into the wall and faded to show more stonework of the wall behind it. Okay. That was weird. What next, a talking cactus. Taking a step forwards Ian's foot connected with a spongy green blob on the floor. "Thank you o-so much for waking me. There was someone I was supposed to... meet .......here." Ian had collapsed on the ground, tears streaming down his face because he was laughing so hard. "I'm sorry, I'm sorry, but this is too much." This was clearly somewhere that had no sense of reality at all. With the laughter diying down and the tears wiped away Ian stood back up to continue down the passage, following the directions on the note. "Where are you going? Aren't you supposed to wait for me? Wait for me!" Upon this shout the cactus did nothing but a small black speck rose off the top of it and floated in front of Ian. "Right. Let's go." The fly was going the right was so what harm could happen.

((Yeah, guys. Beware. This has been a super slow RP at times.))
Jade was still coming to terms with what the Lady had said. It was like a dream, a section of a storybook. However, if vampires and werewolves could exist, who knew how far things could go? The world breaking apart might be too far though...
When Jonathan wanted to finish the story, she half nodded in agreement. "Same." She wanted to know what was going on.

"If nothing else, please inform us of how to end this... problem," Mishaweha added. Her tone sounded hesitant, as if she were unsure how to ask the question, or the words sounded odd (and to her, they did, due the the magical translations in The Lady's house).
"Or how you pulled us all to be here, with you..." Here the Tauren paused, not wanting to point out that their hostess seems unwell. "... not feeling well?" she finished hestitantly.
"Or for that matter, if any of you would like to explain where you came from. I, um, don't think... you're from where I'm from." She trailed off, glancing around the room quickly before looking down at her lap. The Tauren seemed embarrassed for speaking so much (though any blush she may have had was hidden beneath her cream fur).

The fly seemed to know what was going on or at least knew where he was. There were things that needed to be answered. "Ok. Where is-" "Let's hear some answers to my questions then. You can talk as you walk." Cought out by the sudden interuption Ian glared at the buzzing insect thinking how easy it would be to kill it. "What do you miss the most from your childhood?" "What? Uh....Safety and peace, probably or my parents." "What were you looking forward to when you were pulled here?" "Err.....Peace and safety, a family. Stuff like that." ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Questions like this continued for everal minutes before the fly stopped. "What would you do if your world was destroyed?" "What kind of a question is that. I'd fight to prevent it." "Fair enough. We're here so just go in. You missed dinner, by the way." ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Pushing the door open Ian stepped into a large hall with a table set in the center of the room. Seven people sat round it, Three down each side with a wheelchair bound person at the head of the table. "Sorry if I'm intruding but the fly told me this was the right way." As soon as the words left his mouth Ian realised how stupid this sounded. Closing the door his face went from it's normal tanned colour to a dark browny red.

As Chase set upon finding his way to the dining hall, he took a few moments every now and to place his hand on the wall. It was tough to believe that this place wasn't a dream and that he was stuck somewhere that wasn't an ocean or a lady's room, but never had any dream been so vivid and provided him with all of his supplies. he could only hope someone would give him answers soon, otherwise he'd have to start getting violent. And when he got violent, Chase typically left lots of destruction and chaos in his wake. His bombs were starting to get more appealing by every minute that passed, as well.
In his walk, Chase heard the patter of footsteps behind him. He came to a halt and turned his head. Nothing was behind him, yet he was sure that he had heard someone walking behind him. Shaking his head and passing it off as nothing, Chase continued forward until he heard footsteps, follow by something tugging on his leg. With a quick jerk forward he kicked a small object into the air, followed by a quick blast from his blunderbuss. As the smoke cleared, a small little pirate doll was seen, wiping itself off as it stood up a few feet away.
"Hey watch were you fire yer cannons, um, matey? Gosh I'm never any good at this..."
"....was that supposed to be pirate talk? You don't need to use it if you can't speak-"
"Yar, landlubber! I'm here to quiz you! Are you ready!?" The doll said, scratching its head as if it were searching for the right words to say. Chase let out a soft sigh as he put away his gun and faced the small doll. He couldn't kill it and it didn't seem to want to kill him right away. Whatever quiz he had to take, he'd pass and be on his way.
"Go ahead..."
