Kuakuu New to this guild, so i have no idea what conversation is going on here...but I am a girl. Just thought I'd announce that. 3nodding Oh, various discussions, I guess. Generally - those ones where you don't want the boys to put in their five cents. wink

I hate the sales, I can't find anything I like. All the nice clothes are full price. gonk That's why I've only been buying cheap tops in different colours/prints and today I bought a black knee length skirt for 2€. Should go nice with brown leggins and my brown jumper and hopefully soon-to-be black boots (with high heels). I hate shopping for boots, all the nice ones cost 200-300€ and I'm not spending that much money on them. D: And the nice ones on sale are always out of my size. Like today, I found 3 nice pairs of boots, but none of them were in my size. sad I'm going to go to a few more places on Friday, since it's my day off. biggrin
Tomorrow we have this sort of recruiting/work fair at the fair centre next to our school, I have to dress up nice to attract possible employers for a job for next autumn = our work practise. Too bad they've forecasted a snowstorm for the morning (I already have to go for 8, which means I have to leave on the 7.14 train, which means I have to get up at 6 x.X) so I'll be having a fun time trodding through snow in high heeled boots to even get to the station. D:
Just had to get all this off my chest.

Sales are overrated. It's almost always those clothes that nobody wanted to buy - so they simply have to get rid of them.
But boots... well... you'd need to come to Poland, I guess. There's plenty of boots under 50 euro. And they're nice enough too. Although... the question is - are they good enough for Finnish winter?
I hope you'll be able to attract enough employers today! Let us know how it went.

Well the fair went alright, I'm going to send my CV to a few places at the end of the week.
We got out before noon, so I went shopping and bought 3 school books for 90€ (expensive!?!?) and 4 other books for 60€. Then I went to one of the biggest shoe stores there is in Helsinki and found a nice pair of boots for 47,20€. They're about halfway up my shin, with a heel and a pointy end and laces and a zip. Oh well, I'll probably just post a picture of them later on so you get a better idea what they look like. I'd still want a pair of knee high black boots with a heel, but these'll do for the time being. =)
And I'm home now for about an hour before returning to school, we got out so early and even with all the shopping I did, I had so much time that I decided to come home and leave all the extra stuff here (like the tonne of books I bought).

Yeah, they look great, but they're terrible to walk in, especially in snow/sleet. D: And they're not meant for my feet when I have to stand and wait for a train for 20 minutes, because it's late and then stand on the train for 20 minutes, because it's a rush hour train and there's no seats left and you're stuck in the corridor with a screaming baby and his mother, who's speaking loud on her phone. stare My feet are absolutely killing me.

Indeed. These are the only reasons against such boots. Though sometimes will be the most influential in choosing or not boots to wear on a given day.

Ah, boots. I love boots. <3 But you guys are right, they're so expensive. I wanted a pair of really awesome ones from an outlet store (a freaking outlet store. >.>) and they were still gonna cost 130$ or about 100€. D: But then I went to the thrift store and got some heeled boots for about 10$/7€.
Love mah new boooooots. <333

Our shops are open until 21.00 during weekdays, so it helps me do shopping even during schooldays when I'm there from 8-17.30 like Monday, today and tomorrow. stare Also skip lessons help me do shopping.
