Taking the offered piece of meat, KB smiled and mumbled thanks. The cooked meat was warm on his fingertips, which was much nicer than the biting cold. He was barely aware of that however as he tore into his food, hungrily to say the least. It tasted great, and it was hot. As his teeth chewed the meat, he let the favor of it mix around in his mouth. He wasn't exactly savoring it by going slow, but he was at least getting a chance to taste it before swallowing.

Kobei had decided to Jerky the rest of the Meat privided. She would do this by taking the thin cuts of meat, and drying them out over the fire. Of course, if KB was still hungry, he could grab a piece before they dried out.
Kobei finished her meal, and took a sip of the fruity liquid provided. It would hold her until thier next stop, which would hopefully be the BC grounds. Then they could really get something filling.
She burped lightly, and blushed.

He merely glanced at her, before snatching a strip of meat. Leaning back, he collapsed onto the ground and dropped it into his open waiting mouth. It was there that KB lay, looking up to the stars as the fire warmed his feet. Covered in the blanket, he lay with his feet to the flames and his head nearer to the car. THis left his legs and feet warm, but everything else a bit cold.
It beat laying beside the fire though, given that KB rolled around a lot in his sleep. He wouldn't be surprised if he even caught himself on fire at one point. Hopefully that wouldn't happen though - Hopefully he'd make it through the night without being viciously scarred.

Kobei would do her best to wipe the remains of the meat from her mouth. Any traces of food left on her might attract animals. She gathered her blankets, and wrapped them around her, scooting close over by KB. Heat was only better if two bodies were sharing. She yawned, and curled up right next to him, pulling her blanket over her shoulders.
The fire kept going for the rest of the night.

KB would sit up, to reach over and grab a couple of more sticks. Tossing them into the fire, he watched as the flames greedily absorbed the new fuel. It caused him to shrug slightly as he stared into them, for they were both majestic and hypnotizing.
They couldn't draw him away from the woman next to him however, and so he'd turned his attention back to Kobei. Sure she had no eyes, but what the heck, no reason to leave her in the cold. After all, it wasn't as if she'd been bitchy to him, so it's not like she'd really mind...
With thoughts like that in his head, he'd lifted Kobei into his arms. She didn't weight too much, and he'd started to get used to carrying her weight around. It was almost a comfortable feeling to hold her close and know she was really there. Something to smash the feeling in his gut that none of it was real.
And so he'd made his way into the car, with Kobei. The back seat didn't offer much room, but it was room enough for Kobei to lay across it. KB lay next to her, his blanket draped over the various tools that wer stacked up on the floor. The blanket was a ice bit of comfort, even if he did feel the random tool jab into his side. Not enough to draw blood, but it hurt. It hardly mattered though, since his snuggling up to Kobei kept the pair warm.

Kobei was picked up, and carried to the car. She was half awake, half asleep by now. Her body was much too weak for her to stay up long hours, so it would be in her best interest to catch some z's.
It was a bit warmer inside of the car. Trapping heat was one of the things Kobei had in mind. The more the merrier. As KB started to drift off, Kobei's asleep arm would reach out, and pull her gently closer.
It was an unconcious thing, but it seemed that once she had something to keep her safe, she wouldn't let it get away. It was creepy at first, but she only fell into a deeper sleep, her chest rhythmically rising and falling throughout the night.

"Ow ow ow... God that hurts! Don't move you idiot. She's sleeping, noone cares if it hurts. Just be a good gentleman and take it like a man." And so KB ignored the pain of some foriegn tool digging into his lower back. He also ignored the feeling of his arm going numb, until a tingly pain was bouncing up along his flesh. It hurt very badly, all over, but he didn't care, not really. He was safe and warm with Kobei, and that's all that really counted. His gaze stayed on her for a few moments before moving up to the back window, where he stared longingly at the stars. With only the pain and the sound of her breathing, KB fell into a dream-filled sleep, the stars being lost to blackness.

Throughout her mid-sleep, she pulled up enough strength to pull him off the tools, and more near her side. If they stayed close enough, there would be room enough for the two of them, so KB didn't have to sleep on the tools.

Sleeping, KB was sure he felt love. Though perhaps that was simply the wamrth and form of a woman next to him, with the sudden rush of having the pain taken away. Whatever it was, KB was happy, and he smiled warmly as he slept.
Not once during the night did that haunting feeling return, that one that told him it wouldn't last. It was gone for the night, and he was damned happy.

The night would pass by, numerous animals would come to check out thier encampment. However, because of the fire, they did not come so close. The car was safe for the most part. As long as some passerby did not decide to tap on the car.
Not only would they have woken Kobei, but they would also be missing teeth is they would have.
It was peaceful for once, why wouldn't she get angry?
The sun started to pick up in the sky, turning everything from a dark indigo to a reddish-violet. Morning was coming, and it was best to get back on the road. The BC grounds weren't that far off. A full day of driving should get them close enough to walking distance. It all depended on what shape the car was in.

KB planned to sleep in, because he was damn comfortable. the BC could wait, those dirty bastards didn't deserve his time. No, this was as close to having a few nights off that they'd get. KB didn't plan on wasting what time he had on the planet squabling over pathetic land or power. He had the hottest woman in the area, so they could go ******** themselves.
Long story short, he was tired, lazy, and damned comfortable.

Kobei would only awake for as much time to realize she needed to get clean. Her hair was encrusted with slime from the cloning tank, as well as she needed to get rid of some horrid body odor. She would sleep, until KB akoke, hopefully not to the way she smelled.

Eh. It could've been worse. KB couldn've gotten all feral and bitten into her neck in some vain attempt to be sexy. What kind of freaks got turned on by blood anyway? It didn't matter. His dream wasn't really reassuring to his sanity anyhow.
He awoke though, blinking a few times before rolling over to stretch as best he could. Pain spasmed through his body as he rolled onto jabby things, but it wasn't a big deal. Yawning loudly, he turned over and squirmed around until his body had made a suitable impression on the tools, leaving only a couple of things poking into his chest.
"Mornin'" He muttered, as one eye opened. It shut again lazily, after having seen Kobei. KB wasn't in a rush to get up and dash into some freezing cold water somewhere. He'd simply put up with it until they got to the BC, or at least let Kobei wash her hair, or if Kobei complained. Well, dash over and jump into some no doubt frigid water.

Kobei would only raise her head enough to recognize his voice. She propped herself up on the seat, and coughed, then yawned widely.
"Morning." She smiled.

"You want to drive today?" He asked, obviously joking. It wasn't nice to pick on someone about an affliction, but in this case it wasn't a mean-spirited joke. KB was simply lazy, and half-making fun of himself even by asking.
