Hula Bob looked down at his feet. "Oh, well that place." He felt very bad. This girl was honestly asking him to go to a dance, which he would love to go to, but being who he wasn't couldn't. He had his party...yes that was a good excuse.
"I'm sorry...such a bummer. I can't go because I have to keep my party going. I hope you understand. Maybe next time. Shaw." He smiled at her to try and make her feel better. "We could have one dance now if you wanted." He pointed to his glass bottom dance floor.

She looked down, a little dejected, but quickly looked back up. Fi had wiped the look off of her face before doing so, deciding it wasn't the end of the world. Well, it was kind of upsetting to her, but it wasn't like she was gonna die.
The female shook her head, somehow not in the mood to dance right now. Fi wanted to have fun still, but something in the back of her mind was telling her to run off and sulk for a while at being turned down.
"S-sure." She blushed at the offer, deciding it was better to accept his offer. It was better than nothing, and it was what she had wanted him to do with her at the ball.. It made sense, now if she could just get that stupid voice in the back of her head to stop telling her to run away..

Hula Bob walked around the bar and found his way out. After he did so he found the stereo system and put on a nice slow Hawiian song. Jazz wasn't there with her band to play for them. To bad, as Hula Bob always liked live music.
Hula Bob then walked back over to the teen. He held out his hand and bowed to her. "Alright, how about it?" He smiled and gave her a wink.

She blushed a little, looking at him as he bowed. Sure live music would have been better but this was pretty good too. The blush still fixed on her face, Phiona took his hand, curtsying in response to his bow. She wasn't wearing anything fancy, she had wanted to change after he had said that they could go together, but since he had said no her usual skirt and coconut bra worked well.

After Fi took his hand Hula Bob began to lead his dance. Now, one could tell right away that the demon was not used to this kind of dancing. It had been a long while since his 'love' was around and now he was more used to one on one hula dancing.
Still, Hula bob did his best to lead Fi and not to step on her feet. "I bet the ball will be awesome. Tell me all about it will you?" He really didn't know that she wanted him to go that badly and thought that he was being nice.

She didn't know any better, this was her first time doing this kind of dance. If he had stepped on her feet he had a feeling that it would hurt him more than her, she had hooves after all.
As soon as the words slipped out of his mouth, the faun regretted being so close to him. It was impossible for her face to shift emotions without him noticing. "Um.." She blushed, not really wanting to admit the only reason she had wanted to go was to spend time with him and have fun. It would probably be fun without Bob, but not as much. "Not going now.." Fi mumbled, kind of hoping he wouldn't hear her.

Hula Bob looked at Fi and cocked his head. "Oh? Why not? A pretty teen like you should go to a ball. I'm sure all the boys would like to dance with you." He chuckled as he pulled her along. "You are really good at dancing. Better then me." He had been moving his hips along to the beat as that was only natural for him. Hula Bob was old and hadn't had anyone like him in so long that a crush was not something he was going to catch very easily. He though, why would a pretty teen like him anyway?

She shook her head. "No one would want to dance with me." Not to mention there was only one person she wanted to dance with, and he was currently dancing with her. Well it was her fault she had a crush on him. As they say though, its easy to get crushes, falling into that illusive love is much harder, let alone convincing the other party that it was worth a shot.
"No I'm not. This is my first time dancing like this.." She blushed a little more to admitting this. But then she didn't dance often, at least not a two person dance like this. What she had done in the past was mostly hula and she wasn't very good at that either.

"I'm sure they would. I'm happy to dance with you." Hula Bob said as he moved her around the floor. It was nice. Slowing down and dancing with someone really was nice. He would have to try it more often.
"Well, you are doing well. I mainly do the hula myself." The older demon chuckled. He was used to his own silly style of dancing. Who even knew if his hula was real? It didn't matter to him!

She shook her head. "I wouldn't dance with them.." Fi was blushing more. She really did like him, even if he didn't think the same of her. "Only you.." She muttered quietly, really really hoping he didn't hear it. but there wasn't any going back tonight. There was a good chance that he was gonna hear most if not all the comments she didn't want him to hear.
"You hula too?" Fi looked up at him, smiling some. That was her second favorite dance.

Hula Bob smiled at Fi. "Really? That's awesome dudette. I like dancing with you too." He didn't fully understand what she was getting at but that's because he was old and not used to flirting.
"Yep, I'm not called Hula Bob for nothing!" He chuckled. "I can show you after this dance." He didn't want to end their nice dance early. No, it was fun and he wanted her to have fun.

She blushed more, reading too much into his words. Well if that was his reaction then she had no reason to be too embarrassed. "R-really?" The teen had taken it as him saying that he liked her as well. What a let down it was gonna be when she realized it wasn't like that. Her hopes were up for now, not realizing it wasn't a good thing.
"Sure, after this dance~" She smiled, very ecstatic right now.

"Alright, we will do that." Hula bob danced and listened the music. Such a nice love song filling the air. Ah, so nice and sweet. It made him think of old times and how he used to be. Fi was helping him feel a bit younger then he had lately, which was nice.

She smiled, blushing some, but pulling herself a little closer to Bob. Phiona was really happy right now, she liked Bob far too much to not be happy. The thoughts of what might happen now filled her mind, making her blush more. But first this dance, it was really nice. And the hula after would be just as nice too.

Hula Bob danced until he heard the song change. It was a faster song that was perfect for the hula. "Alright, want to see my hula?" He asked but not letting her go yet. He could tell she was liking holding onto him, which he didn't think too odd. He had kids and they liked to be close to him so this wasn't new.
