Kisame was back in his room when Deidara knocked. "What does someone want with me? Itachi just bursts in, so I know it's someone else." He walked to the door, his blade in reach, and opened the door, he was suprised. "Deidara? Out of anyone, you would of been the one I least expected to be here."
Fuka nodded, "Will do boss." He disappeared. He walked down the hall, and heard the knock on a door. He decided he would go there first. Luckily for him, Deidara was there. He was at Kisame's door. Hm... interesting. He would watch a bit more. If it turned out violent... well, his sound waves did paralyze sometimes...

 ~ WITHER IN PAIN ~ ......... Deidara shrugged. "How are you, un?" It was obvious the question surprised the swordsman. "What, un? Can I not ask how the other members are, un? Is there some sort of rule I don't know about, un?" Deidara crossed his arms. He didn't want to get into a fight. He just wanted to talk...
...at least for now. .........

Zetsu was wandering through the compound when he came across Fuka, Konan's servant. Zetsu approched the Sound-nin and whispered, "What cha doing? Why are ya watching Kisame and Deidara?"
Just then, it hit him. Kisame might know Sasori's alive, and Deidara can't know. Zetsu rushes in and interupted their conversation. "Hey, Kisame, Deidara." He turned to Deidara and simpathically said, "Deidara, you know I really think the lost of Sasori-san was terrible right." Zetsu faced Kisame and thought up a lie. He then continued by lying, "Kisame, I believe Itachi wants to see you. He said it was really important. Urgent stuff. Well, bye-bye, Kisame." Zetsu said frantically. He turned back to Deidara and said, "I think it's best if you go back to your room. Unless, . . . you'd rather talk or hang out or something."

Fuka was suprised when Zetsu spoke to him, but then remembered he could probably see through his Genjutsu, after all, he is what he is. He just continued to watch Deidara when Zetsu ran into the conversation.
Kisame looked at Deidara, "Something really is wrong with you huh?" He then saw Zetsu appear in the mix, listening to what he said, "Itachi wants me? That's wierd, usually he would come himself and not send the plant man as a messenger." He shrugged, "I"ll go see what he wants then... Deidara, later I would like to tell you something." Kisame grabbed up the sword and walked down the hall, right pass Fuka, after he closed and locked his door that is.

~ WITHER IN PAIN ~ ......... Deidara watched Kisame leave. "Wait, un!" He called after him. "What were you-!" He turned to Zetsu frustrated, as the swordsman had left in search of his arch rival... Itachi Uchiha, who he was sure was just down the hall...
"Get out of my face Zetsu-san, un!" The artist snapped. "Why would I wish to converse with you, un? You say you think Sasori-sama's death was a loss, un? Bite me, un! You were one of the ones who wanted to get rid of him instantly, un! I have no need for your pathetic lies, un!!!" The artist pushed past the man-plant. He surprised himself when he realized he had tears on his cheeks.
"Damnit, un!!!" Deidara cried out. He'd really being trying, (for at least the past few hours), to get over his master's death. He didn't truly realize how much his master had meant to him. He had been the only one besides Pein who had actually acknowledged his existence. That was one of the biggest losses he's ever suffered. And every member of the Akatsuki knew it was rare to see the artist cry; for they never had up until Sasori's death.
Deidara continued down the hall, proceeding down the stairs. He heard Itachi yelling at Kisame, telling him to "f-off" and that "he'd never asked for him for he had better things to do." The swordsman turned around in confusion and Deidara waved him over.
He pulled Kisame back down the hall, scanned the surrondings (making sure no one was eavesdropping), then asked:
"What did you need to tell me Kisame, un?" .........

"Never trust Zetsu." Was what he first said. Then he went into what he really wanted to tell him, "I don't know if it was a trick, a Genjutsu, or the real deal. But I saw your beloved Sasori in the forest at the end of my guard shift. I don't know if it was real or not, I was so tired, but I saw him. He disappeared with his puppet-transfer thingy." He smiled, the shark teeth showing, "Of course there are other Puppetry Masters out there. And you can look like anyone with Jutsu, even Sasori of the Red Sands."
Fuka gasped. Master Pein will want to know of this... He walked back down the hall, and tried to find Pein. Once he did, he quickly unveiled himself, and bowed, "Master Pein, I got some information for you... Kisame told Deidara of what he saw in the forest... he said it was Sasori... is that true?"

SASORI Sasori got a strange feeling as he hid in the shadows. Leader had placed a genjutsu on him so no one could see or hear him. Sasori then sneezed. He thought to himself, Leader must know something's up if he's using genjutsu to conceal my presence. Sasori spoke out, knowing only Leader would hear it, "Leader, why have you masked me with genjutsu?" LEADER Sir Leader spoke, "Because, the other Akatsuki have no doubt heard your little outburst. This genjutsu will make it appear that I am talking to someone else." Sir Leader looked around with his doujutsu and saw that none of the Akatsuki were alarmed by Sasori's yelling. Leader released the genjutsu and said, "Sasori, go hide in the catacombs under the base. I will send Zetsu and you on a mission to get you away from here. Away from public eye." SASORI Sasori obeyed his leader and used a puppet transfer jutsu to leave the room LEADER Leader looked at the empty puppet shell Sasori left behind and said, "If only he could destory this puppet, too."Leader used a fire jutsu to turn the puppet into ash.

~ WITHER IN PAIN ~ ......... Deidara stared at Kisame for a good ten minutes before responding. "S-S-Sasori-sama... is alive, un?" The swordsman shrugged and repeated what he had said. "But... it still could be him right, un?" Deidara's eyes were wider than saucers. "W-why... why would he hide from us, un? W-why would he hide from... me, un?" Deidara's heart beat fiercely against his ribcage as he impatitenly waited for Kisame's response. .........

Kisame just shrugged again, "Like I said, it could of been a genjutsu or a mirage due to lack of sleep. If anything, he probably wants to stay hidden so that he can be a trumph card? Like I care. I told you what I wanted, so see ya." He turned and walked away from the artist.

~ WITHER IN PAIN ~ ......... Deidara leaned up against the nearest wall for support. He could hardly breathe. Could it be true? His beloved Puppet-Master wasn't dead? There was only one person who could answer that. Deidara ran as fast as he could down to Leader's office...

He pushed the door open and practically ran inside. "Leader-sama, un!" He shouted. "Where's Sasori-sama, un?!" The artist stopped out of breath before his desk. "You must tell me... please, un..." He looked up at him with wondering eyes.
Deidara had an innate skill to be able to tell if anyone was lying. Including their Leader. Everyone knew this, so he hoped to get a straight answer. .........

Leader took a deep breath. He knew he could barely keep a lie just that with Deidara. He thought up a reason excuse. He inhaled deeply once more and said in a stern and commanding tone, "Deidara, I know it's hard to understand it, but Akasuna no Sasori is dead. If he were alive, well I would have him reveal himself. I wouldn't allow him to leave Akatsuki." He had performed a genjutsu during this part to deceive Deidara. "Only in death can any of you leave my organization. That is why you are all under the constant order to kill Orochimaru on sight. Sasori knew this rule, nay law of Akatsuki. He would never disobey a direct order and become an outsider. Especially from Akatsuki." Leader took a moment to catch his breath. He then continued. "Besides, even if he were alive, I don't believe Kisame or myself would be the first member of Akatsuki that he would reveal himself to. Understand, Deidara," He placed his hand on Deidara shoulder, "Sasori held you in highest regard. Sasori has lived a long time and taught many apprentices. Out of all of them, he mostly told stories of you and a Mist villager, named Kyuka Sakel. Although, you weren't the same type of artist, Sasori respected you all the same." Leader took his hand away. He sighed heavily and said, "Sasori was the best. He was better than Konan and almost better than Pein. He couldn't even fall for my genjutsu. Only he, Pein, and Konan know of my true identity."Leader then thought. He said to Deidara, "If you want you can get your revenge against the girl who killed Sasori. Would you like to know her name?" Leader knew vengence for his master would keep Deidara from finding out the truth.

pein walked to sir leader's quaters quietly and quickly, allmost as if he wasnt walking at all. pein stoped ten feet away from the open door and listened to the last bit of the conversation."Getting revenge wont do any thing. and besides if we kill her then we get farther from our goal." pein said butting into the conversation. pein walked up behind deidara And hit him on the back of the head and watched as he fell to the ground unconsious." i dont think its smart to go after any leaf villagers at this exact moment"

~ WITHER IN PAIN ~ ......... Deidara surprised both Pein and Leader by waking up instantly. He stood up and glared at Pein. "You should know better, un," he spoke darkly, "My ears are one of the best trained, un. I heard you walking down the hall before you even entered the room, un. I assumed you'd interfere with my meeting with Leader, so I shielded my-self with one of my master's secret techniques; thus rendering your blow... useless, un." He turned back to Leader.
"As Pein so nicely said...un..." He filled his voice with cold sarcasm. "Killing any Leaf Shinobi would be a waste of time, un. However, if we want to lure any Jinchuriki, especially the Kyuubi, I suggest we take his friend as our captive and then use her as bait to draw him in, un." He paused for a moment and let Leader think about it.
"I must admit, even if I were to disagree with you about Sasori-sama's death, there would be no way I could fight you on it, un." He blew some hair out of his face. "Furthermore, if you believe my plan to be useful, then I request to be paired up with another member and go to get her myself, un."
Deidara could tell the both of them were wondering who exactly Deidara wanted to go with. His answer startled the both of them: "I want Itachi Uchiha to come with me, un." .........

Leader did not seem amused by Pein's actions. He reacted mildly to Deidara choice of members to accompany him. Leader then said in a disapproving voice, "Deidara, Itachi can't go with you to the Konohagakure. You just fought the Konoha. Besides, you're paired with Tobi, not Itachi. Kisame is Itachi's partner." Leader looked at the artist in a strange way and said, "I must be convinced the both of you can work together. Plus, I'll need the consent of both Kisame and Tobi. Seeing as in your and Itachi's absence, they'll be paired together. However, I find your fishing plan to be a bit off center." Leader placed his hand on his chin and rubbed his fingers against his right cheek. He spoke with zeal as he said, "Deidara, if you can get Itachi's, Kisame's, and Tobi's approval, I'll let your experimental pair take on a special mission." Leader had the ideal mission in his mind. The perfect mission for the Uchiha and the artist was to either capture or kill the final thorns in Akatsuki's plan, Orochimaru and Sasuke Uchiha. All the members, except Tobi, knew of these annoiances. "Do you understand Deidara?"

~ WITHER IN PAIN ~ ......... "Understood, un." The artist turned and exited the room without another word. If Tobi disagreed, he'd just beat the crap out of him until he did; if Kisame did, well, then he'd go against it and "say" he'd agreed anyway. (In which case he hoped he wouldn't have to do that...)
Deidara proceeded down the hall to Itachi's room. The artist had decided the Uchiha would be the best partner to have in a mission such as this. He had the most precise eyesight, (even if it was slowly deteriorating), and would be the best companion out there... despite how much he despised him...
Deidara sighed as he turned down the last hall, only to realize the Uchiha was still in the "living-room" area. He rolled his eyes and headed in that direction... hoping he'd get a good enough response out of him. .........
