Fairy~Nuff Actually not as long as I thought it might. Only about 6 or 7 weeks. I know some people who've waited months and months.
The thing that freaked me out most was that I used the same password for everything. Stupid I know but I was a bit naieve with stuff like that. Had visions of my bank account being emptied and my credit card maxed out. It's the first time I've ever cursed paypal!
Fortunately my hacker only seemed interested in Gaia.
Phew!
i also think that what hackers do, they consider it more like an art...there's another terminology for these lesser "hackers" which i don't remember. These bums use programs hackers have made for a personal benefit, but can't be called hackers cuz they never were...
i use 4 pwds in all round accounts, and i repeat the same pwd in some parts, but i've never had the same one in important stuff, say...banking accounts...
and i use gaia pwd for some more stuff, but that's because i have memory problems...too bad for me... sweatdrop
omg, you guys spend alot of time here on gaia...i never knew there could be more than 30 posts in a day! eek
when you say a life without inet, then i'd say more time doing important stuff, or maybe more practise in other stuff, like playing instruments..!
i have to study still, and i'm not close to being father yet, nor i sit and do nothing (but i still clean, arrange, cook in the house when i'm asked, even though i don't like to)...i wish things were a bit easier once in a while, jus to stop shredding my hair..! *sighs*

Personally, I love a good conversation as much as anyone, and I do miss it. Unfortunatly with school, it makes it kinda hard...A lot of times I get to post reposonses, but by time I get back on to continue anything, the previous post becomes completely null and void.

Meh, hackers who just look around aren't a real threat...the real threat is...LACK OF CONVERSATION! That's right, Lack of Conversation is killing our society, there was a time when people would sit down, talk about their day over a nice home cooked meal and a piece of all american apple pie but now it's eat quick and depart company! It's a plague I say a plague that is killing humanity! Soon we won't even bother to wave to each other or say kind words. Language will be reduced to one symbol, the middle finger.
er...
I love talking! SO what should we conversate about?

Well, I do agree on you with one major thing, you don't use it, you lose it, if we continue on our current path, I don't think it would be too far fetched to think humans may lose any need of their vocals.

Which is funny 'cause if that's true, then there'd be two chains of humanity, those without the ability to vocalize from lack of use, and those who still can because they never gave up on conversing...

you ppl scare me way too much...why do you asume so much too soon? i don't think that we may lose our ability to speak, and if we do then it'd be cuz it'd had evolved into something else...like telepathy, but psycos would lose their jobs if we ever did!

jus try to think in a solution, not the problem itself...if you want a change, start by you...and that means that you must do it!

conversation may be dieing, but think that ppl live working nowadays...all cuz of money...that's why we talk no more...we're too afraid to lose money...

lol, I know outcast, was just having a little fun with the topic...plus, I may be found weird, but I do find it fun to actually talk and think about how things will be in a far distant future.
A) it requires a bit less logic, and being in a science feild of study, that's a good relief
and B) I like writing, so my imagination is always going 30 million Mph
and by the way you are right, if we developed telepathy...those poor psycos...(shakes head). Well, how about for the future we start PS fund?

But you would still have people with Esp with voices in there head. And people without Esp with voices still in there head. How would you distinguish between the two? There would have to be a system where only the true crazies could invest in the company. That way the dime a dozen surplus of people with Esp couldn't all bum rush the company. 3nodding

Telepathy would be fine if you could control it. i.e..shut out everything that you didn't want to hear, and being able to stop anyone within a certain distance of you from being able to dip into your thoughts.
Your mind would be like the human version of a router, you'd have to password protect your own thoughts to stop someone who lived down the street from helping themself >_>
