Mai was about to serve her birdie, when the coach had come in to tell everyone to stop. Mai had thought, at first, it just be for Fate and Reichi, for their match was getting a little over the top. Mai stopped respectfully, and left the court, and Toko. She headed over to the coach, and saw her ame on the squad paper.

Right where it should be... Mai thought smugly, but her outward appearance showed not of this.

She also noticed Reichi, and that Adrian girl had made it. Mai understood Reichi's talent--but Adrian was a beginner, and didn't even know the rules of badminton! Mai admitted that the girl had some natural spark, but nothing unseen before.

((Sorry everyone. School gets in the way--and so do major assignments. I'll try to post more. 3nodding ))

((you can get her to talk, but no unnecessary actions like killing her and stuff lol clara33.))

Day 3!

You could hear the chirping outside. Again, another beautiful day and ahead of the whole day lay something great. The amazing Music of the Band Class.

Reichi woke up to an alarming, annoying as well, clock. He smacked it off the shelf and stared at the window. He stood up and walked up to the window looking outside.

Toko woke up too looking outside his window. He let out a big yawn and scratched his head.

Fate was already awake eating breakfast at her house. She looked at a picture. The picture had her and somebody else in it. She turned away from the picture and looked at her food. She clearly wasn't hungry.

Ian woke up. He stared at the ceiling for a bit and then quickly shuffled himself into another position.

"I wonder how it'll be today. I didn't know that it could get so interesting in my school", thought Ian out loud.

Waking up at the usual time, brought Mai to be very tired at the breakfast table. She had done her exercises, and everything else, and was just eating breakfast, which was cereal. Low in fat, and calories, cereal. Normally, it wouldn't matter to Mai, but really, the stuff tasted bad. Her mother had gone on a diet fad, and replaced everything in the house with 'Low In Fat' or '0 Trans Fat', and mostly 'Only 100 Calories!'.

This, annoyed Mai. Maybe even more than Toko annoyed her. Her mother didn't need to diet, and Mai sure as hell didn't either. As she thought about this, Mai dumped her cereal in the sink, and went back upstairs. Today, she was going to take the bus, instead of running. Odd, but Mai didn't feel like doing much today-- besides playing badminton.

Grabbing her school bag, Mai made sure she had her racket, with the coer on, and her specialized birdies. She then checked her complextion in the mirror, quickly applying a little more black eyeliner. Afterwards, the girl bounded down the stairs, and out the door with only a short goodbye to her mother, who was probably in the bathroom, trying to throw up or something.

Once again, Adrian held nothing as she made her way to school the next morning, choosing to walk and take in the sights of her new surroundings and ponder on the events that happened the day before. She actually made a team without trying. She didn't really understand the rules, had no experiance, and still she was accepted on a team. Maybe there was something specail about her after all... or maybe the game was just too easy. Finally making her way to the school grounds, Adrian saw a bus full of clustered children stop at the sidewalk, Mai amoung the students rushing to get off. She hadn't made any friends at school yet, but she was pretty sure Mai wouldn't want to be one of them. Giving her a faint smile, she dissappeared into the school, going throughout the day while wondering whether she would show up for practice later on in the day.

((Speaking of buses...
I missed mine. gonk ))

Mai caught a glance of Adrian as well, registering to her smile. Though meant as a friendly gesture, in Mai's mind, everything was warped.

And right now, her mind was telling her that Adrian thought she was better than Mai, because she got on the team without trying. This, made Mai a little pissed off, but instead, she decided to use the old tradition, in fighting.

Marching up to the girl in the hall, and looped her arm through the girl's.

"Hey, Adrian. I just wanted to say, if you still come to practice, you're my partner." She said, giving the girl a warm smile, and not adding one pinch of coldness, at all.

Ranano woke up too, his long shabby legs yet peculiar arms tangled became loose. He looked outside the window with disgust, "That Reichi kid...beating me. I have to upgrade my frog stance, otherwise..."

Reichi had already arrived at the school looking at it. The entrance was big as always. He walked inside and smiled at the students passing by. Toko rushed out of nowhere placing his arms around Reichi's head, "AY! Toko! My man...your now on Hanari High's Squad! Aren't you excited!? Hey today we face South Window Squad for practice. Are you excited about that!?"

Reichi chuckled, embarrassed that Toko is making a scene, at the thought. He looked at his locker and then smiled, "South Window?"

Toko stopped by his locker and placed his finger outside the yard, "That way. You didn't know our school was THAT big? We're at the North side and there's the section that way which is South. They have their own squad. It's...complicated why a school has two squads, but hey at least both squads can represent the school."

"Why would a school register two squads with different names if it's from the same school", asked Reichi.

"I guess it has to do with the Coach. He requested a separate squad for the assistant coach. Something to do with money but South Window is almost like another school or so I hear. Even though we're attached, I don't feel like it. So today we're going to practice with them for the preliminaries. Prelim is in a week and we need to win in order to go enter the Seven September Tournament. It's 7 days of games with some of the best teams from different schools", answered Toko almost out of breath.

Reichi smiled, "Wow...different schools and different players. I'm so excited. I wonder how each one plays. Seven days huh, in one week huh. That should be Day 9 right?"

"10 to be exact. Let's make sure we practice hard ok!", responded Toko almost yelling.

Adrian raised an eyebrow to Mai, unsure if it was safe to reply or not. Usually, Mai was a rather cold being, but this... seemed a bit odd and out of place... as if she was up to something.

"Um... yeah... sure thing..."

Hm... I wonder what she's up to... maybe I will go to practice, just to see what's up... damn my curiosity!...

The bell rang. Reichi had been in History class. Leaving class he looked at the yard past the cafeteria. He knew it was just about that time, time for him to practice. He began walking towards the yard as he held on to his bookbag.

Toko joined along him smiling, "Ah! You just finished History class. Haha, this is going to be fun. I wonder if that CUTIEPIE Mai is going to be there! Or the gorgeous exotic Adrian! My eyes are filled with love!"

Reichi just raised his eyebrow in annoyance, "Toko...you..."

Ian had just placed his books inside his locker as Reichi and Toko past by him. He watched them walk to the yard and murmured to himself, "Man...Badminton team? Oh! Today must be practice for the prelims. I wanna go and see these guys play. Today should be interesting!"

Atamia grumbled as she entered school, late. It had not been a good day. First in the morning she had argued with her mom over whether or not she would spend her 5 years worth of saving on a car of her own. Atamia argued that more cars would be more pollution, and her mother argued that it was too expensive, and that Atamia wasn't paying for the gas. Atamia had then been held up by a police officer when driving to school, for being present at a hijack. It had been an hour out in the cold of the morning, trying to answer questions she didn't know how to answer, and probably seeming extremely stupid in front of all the other people on the highway at the time. When she was finally done, her mother's car wouldn't heat up, because she had to start it up quickly, and the car didn't like that. So she got to school cold, she had missed a class and would be starting with gym, and she would be competing against her best friends for the Seven September Tournament. Fortunately, though, they didn't seem fazed. As she stepped into the school, Lirael, her friend from an area that seemed to shift every week, hooked her arm around Atamia's neck with her loose hand on her cell phone. "Oy, Ata! Skippin', eh?"

"No, I was not skipping. I was held up on the freeway because-"

"You were present at a hijacking and the police stopped up the road." Lirael scrolled down on something on her Blackberry. "Ooh, ya shouldn'a saied 'dunno' ta a cop."

"I didn't...wait, how did you kn-"

"Oh, bu' 's' ah'kay, th' majarity o' th' pe'ple presn't thou' ya was cyoot." Lirael shook hands with Atamia almost violently. "Congrat's ulatshuns!"

Atamia rolled her eyes as the arm hooked around her neck and she was left to set her books and such in her locker. "OK, I don't like the internet anymore."

"Wai', wai'... s'm info's comin' in from France..."

Reichi entered the yard and onto the other gym. Toko was there next to him as well as Ian. When he arrived he noticed Fate was already there and so was the strange kid from the beginning with that big bookbag. He sat on the floor near the bleachers, "Oh...I wonder when we'll get to play."

Coach Halber walked in grumbling and then yelled, "HEY! My Hanari High Squad! Let's aim for the sky!! Haha get it...sky? Hoho anyways...today we'll be practicing with our very own South Window Squad! How does that sound oy?"

Reichi and Toko just kept to themselves as Ian sat down next to them placing his bookbag near the bleachers. Ranano also walked in sitting far away from the courts.

Three students walked in. One of them was wearing a headset listening to music. The other one had goggles on his head and blue eyes with raggety pants. The last two, one of them with a band on his forehead almost covering his eyes and arm wrap, and the kid behind him had a yellow karate gi tied and turned sideways with arm wraps as well.

Coach Halber waved his hand at them, "There they are! South Window at it's best!!

((You do realize that's only 4 members, and our team has 6, right? XD Anyway, I'm taking this sweetly awesome chance to make 2 characters, a double team, on a team other than Hanari High. So encourage that fact! XD))

Atamia slouched in. After a few minutes of unwillingly supporting her best friend as she was listed off the new types of cakes that were currently most popular in France at that current moment, her shoulders were uneven, and she went to speak with the coach as the South Window team entered. She stared at the team ungracefully. Where were Lirael and Anna? Well, they'd show up soon enough, she reasoned. Besides, they were the only girls on the team, and they were good. A double team like them, with speed and power, was impossible to beat.

((thanks! but...they wouldn't be the only doubles team in that squad. Trey and Slade are a double. Also Jass is a girl on the team. These people just haven't been introduced yet. So...let's try to fix it...))

Two other girls walk in.

Lirael and Anna.

The student with the headphones turns around. Her eyes glow and she quickly yells, "AAAAH!! My two favorite buddies!!!! What's up what's up!! I'm jamming to this new music no doubt!"

The student with the goggles smiles, "Haha, there goes Jass like always. Listening to music. Ah...we all got our trademark, right Slade?"

The student with the band almost covering his eyes spoke but quietly, "Yeah whatever."

"Hey hey Slade! Cheer up geez. With your abominable speed and my precision we won't lose! It's only training geez!", the student with the gi answered while patting Slade on the back.

Slade just walked forward closer to the net pulling it softly, "Right. Trey...we won't lose."

Reichi watched the team as they entered with confidence. Ian placed his hand on Reichi's shoulder as he spoke, "Reichi...I can give you intel on everybody. It's what I'm good at haha. This is me! Intel master Ian! or IMI!!"

Reichi nodded as he looked at Ian.

Ian gleered at the team, "That's Jass...If you go against her becareful of her Mirage technique. She listens to music while she plays Badminton...it's the weirdest thing and no one can figure out."

Adrian entered the gym, having heard the coaches comments from outside as she walked in curiously, observing the new kids. They seemed to be younger than her as well, and a bit more put together than the team she had so innocently been chosen onto. Having made up her mind by the end of the day, Adrian walked casually over to the bleachers where Ian sat with Reichi and Toko. Giving the guys a wave, she hoped no one had noticed that she did not yet own a racket yet. She turned and sat next to Ian and watched the members of the South Window Squad.

Hm... this may be more to my liking than I expected.

((Sorry....I read your post, but there was no indication of gender, so I assumed they were all male.))

Atamia turned to look as Lirael and Anna entered, Anna riding on Lirael's back. It was a unique style the two of them had formed, for Power to ride on the back of speed. They were a wonderful double team. Atamia smiled and waved slightly, and they did so back. Atamia gave the two of them a thumbs up, and Anna and Lirael mouthed, 'may the best...um....woman....win!' Which was a sign they weren't mad at each other.
