Lateef looked around while she collected wood and noticed that she did not see her friend at the camp. She wondered to herself "I know she was going slower than me but I did not think she was going that slow. How slow can those mules of hers go?"

Riley had removed her outter jacket and it was now filled with very small twigs and dry leaves and grass, when her sister approached she nodded towards the larger twigs that layed on the ground and then returned to Samantha at the camp to begin to make a fire. After neatly laying out half of the leaves and twigs in the bare circle that she had made earlier she pulled out a match and struck it against a metal button on her tunic and imediately it took light, and she held it down by the leaves and carefully lit them on fire. Gradually she added more leaves and twigs until the fire was burning nicely, then she retreated to gather some larger pieces of wood.

Lateef came back to the center of camp with a load of branches and broken tree limbs, that she thought could be broken up and used for fire wood. She put them on the ground and looked over at Ellen. She noticed that Ellen was grazing and did not care about the other horses that were turned lose as well. Lateef was glad the stud had not seen or cared about Ellen, for then she would have to go and catch Ellen and continuously chase the stud away from Ellen. So for now Lateef might be able to sleep tonight worry free.

Samantha had started adding some twigs to the fire that she saw laying around. She then made a pot appear over the fire and started to heat the pot.

Riley shook her had at the magic displayed by Sam and smiling, she sat back and asked "What's for dinner tonight?". Then, before Samantha could answer, she suddenly shot to her feet and looked around cautiously.

Samantha saw her friend's posture changed and got into a defensive posture.
"What did you hear, Riley?"Samantha asked quietly.

a moment of silence followed sam's question before Riley responded softly "it's what i didn't hear that bothers me" she said looking around, and then moving over to the roadway and glancing in both directions down the road. She relaxed just a tad as she returned to the camp site "It seems we've lost our new friend" she commented, not sounding to terrible dissapointed and plopping right back down where she had been sitting just moments before.

"Boy, nothing like sounding disappoited, Riles. You know we should probably make sure she is okay and was not attacked,"Samantha suggested.

some rustling in one of Samantha's saddle bags and moments later a small white dragon popped out and flew over to the fire where Sam and Riley sat she looked at each of them in turn and then turned back to Samantha and chirped repeatedly as if speaking to her.
All the while her wings were moving a mile a minute as she kept her self floating right before Samantha.

Lateef sees the dragon pop out of the bag. "Oh Kitika, I think Zakia is fine. I bet she just found some one to talk to. I know how she likes to talk. If she does not return by tomorrow, then I'll start to worry and go look for her."

"Kitkia, what are you doing here?! I take it your brother does not know of you being here?"Samantha practically choked out. The appearance of the girl in her dragon form had taken the young sorceress by surprise. She waited for the girl to reply to her question.

Riley was once again to her feet in an instance, but this time it was not out of curiosity but rather out of rage. her face was contorted into a very un-lovely scowl as she glared at the small white dragon before her. "Kitika Rie How Dare You!" she exclaimed, just a level below an out right shout as she reached for the dragon's small white tail.

Kitika made a high pitched squeel and then darted, not behind Sam who was closest, but behind Lateef who was farthest away from the angry Captain. She stayed in dragon form because she knew she was much faster that way and would have a better chance of excaping Riley's wrath if need be.

Lateef saw Kitika come to her. "Now sis agree that she should not have come because she was told not to," (glaring at Kitita for a sec)" but she is like us and wants to go on a good adventure. Just let her stay. She can hide or fly away if there is any trouble."

Kitkia squeaked to whom ever could understand her, as she darted out of Lateef's reach avoiding the glare she was being given.
"Squeak Squeak, Squeak Squeak Squeeeeeeaaak"
