Sorry to bring this back up but its kind of concerning that you go around "paddling" people younger than you O_o.. Think about principals dork. It's a kind of punishment. Their all stuck up and rude, they think they own high school because they got a little taste of power in junior high. So we punish them for their insolence. Chou i im not American..we dont have the Freshman,junior, senior..ect crap so firstly dont think taht everyone knows about these strange punishment rituals..Secondly..uh...No name calling D< First, It happens in every country. Second Junior high school is not for juniors. Grades over here: Pre K,Kindergarten,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9(freshmen),10(sophmore),11(Junior),12(Senior) Schooling system over here: Pre K to 2nd (Primary). 3rd through 5th (Elementary). 6th through 8th (Junior High). 9th through 12th (High school). The 12th (Seniors) Prank the 9th (Freshmen) and the 11th (Juniors) Prank the 10th (Sophmores). However you schooling ranges the last four are the freshmen, sophmores, juniors, and seniors. Not true.. We have the same age groupings i would assume but we dont get called freshman or whatever, our schooling groups are classes by years like this one: Grades over here: "Pre K,Kindergarten,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9(freshmen),10(sophmore),11(Junior),12(Senior) " But for us its: Reception(Kindergarden for you) : Ages 1-5 Primary School( Freshman stage) : Ages 6-13 Secondary School (Junior Stage) : Ages 14-18 6th Form/Job/Colledge(Senoir Stage): Ages 18-21/ Ages 18+/ Ages 18-25 Its a similar system but still different.. For example all apart from Recpetion and Primary school require a new school So: Primary School to Secondary would require you to go to a new school. While: Reception to Primary school the students stay in the school but are 'moved' to a new area. May sound silly to you but its the way we work and its pretty simple once youve experienced it.. I can see how it's based it just seems awkward. The Junior stage is what we call High school and would hold the standard of higher9 and higher10 and higher11 and higher12.
