Emma laughed and sped off, heading south to Oregon. While riding on the bike, she blasted the XM radio that she put on there, singing and humming along with the trance and techno music. At times when there were straight aways, clear of any other cars, she sped up to speeds of 120, losing herself in the excitement.
In an hour and a half, they had finally made it to the rave. It was located deep in the forest in an underground warehouse, only so the cops wouldn't find it and neighbors wouldn't complain about the noise. All around there were men and women alike dressed in bright clothing and wearing crazy hairdos.

Connor smiled slightly as they rode, enjoying the music he so rarely listened to. The scenery passing by amused him, as the colors faded together with the increase of speed. When they arrived, his eyebrows shot upward slightly in intrigue. After the motorcycle was parked, he removed the helmet and dismounted the bike, looking around with a curious gaze. "Amazing." The only late night parties Connor had ever attended were at country bars; not exactly something he thoroughly enjoyed but Nicole had loved them, so he went regardless.

As Emma led Connor towards the warehouse, she said hi to everyone, knowing them from previous raves that she attended. This was normal for her for she went to a rave at least once a week to dj, sometimes even twice a week. The bass vibrated the floor as they got closer to the entrance, and soon, they were walking into a mass of people dancing and waving their arms about as the first dj pumped out hardcore techno tunes. Emma grabbed the glow sticks from the bags and snapped them that so they would glow. She connected the connectible ones and made a few glowing bracelets and necklaces. Afterwards, she took out the flashing binkies and hung one around Connor's neck, hanging the other necklaces on his neck too. She did the same to herself and soon they were raving locals.

Connor gazed about with an awed and amused smile, his heartbeat beginning to match the pounding bass. He leant down slightly when Emma placed the items on his neck, nodding his thanks; Connor knew full well how hard it'd be to hear over the music. Joining in the fun, a lively grin had returned to his mouth for the first time since he lost Nicole.

Before having some real fun, Emma brought Connor up to the front by the speakers and the dj booth. That was when she let the music completely take over her body. The bass sent shivers down her spine and the entrancing sounds sent her into ecstasy. She swayed her hips to the beat and moved her arms about her wildly, making the glow sticks in her hands create a laser show. Her eyes closed and that was when she was completely lost in the beat.

After being pulled to the front, Connor subconciously continued to moved his body in sync with the music, his eyes locked onto the small laser show Emma had created. His attention was caught onto the sight, having never seen anything like it before. Wow. Due to the fact that he continued to dance about, he felt as if he was overheating and removed his jackets, tying them around his waist in a tight knot. Under his jacket he had worn a thin undershirt, though sweat was soaked into it.

Emma opened her eyes momentarily to see the strobe lights and neon light shows, but closed them instantly when she viewed Connor. He's hella sexy, she thought with a blush as she continued to dance. "Hey Emma!" the dj shouted from his booth. She opened her eyes to look up at her good friend, and her uncle. "Hey tio!" she acknowledged as she smiled up at him. "I want you to come up here and sing a number for me, to please these ravers," he yelled. Emma nodded her head and left without telling Connor, figuring that once he saw her up there singing, he would figure out where she went. Tio handed her the microphone, which was connected to a synthesizer and smoothly changed the song to the one she would be singing. It started off with bass that rocked your body, and soon, Emma's mouth opened as she began to sing.

Connor hadn't noticed her blushing, having closed his eyes moments before. The bass pounded in his ears, his entire body pulsing with the beat. A content smile had nestled onto his lips, and for the first time in a very long time, he wasn't thinking of the past. Only of the present, and the intriguing girl who'd brought him here. He didn't notice her leaving until the sound of a beautiful voice accompanied another song. Opening his eyes, he continued to move, gazing over to where Emma was singing. He was entranced by the sound, the sight, the feeling. He felt alive again.

Emma smiled after she finished her song. Tio then introduced her as "Celeste" and announced that she would be taking over for the night. Emma hugged her uncle before going into a song by Kaskade. While up there she synthesized and mixed, along with swaying her hips and singing for some of the songs. Strobe lights flashed and music played and soon the night, or rather, early morning was coming to an end. Ravers filed out of the room and soon it was only Emma, Connor, and the cleanup crew left. She walked up to Connor and smiled at him before asking, "So how did you like it?"

Connor was left sweating profusely, smiling blissfully with his hands hanging limp at his sides. Gazing downward into Emma's eyes, an old habit he'd thought that he shook through the years, he shook his head with a quiet chuckle. Sincerity shone in his eyes as he spoke with a warm tone, his gratitude obvious. "I haven't felt so alive in I don't know how many years. Thank you so much." His typically dull green eyes were bright and sharp, nearly piercing.

Emma smiled and hugged him around the waist real quick before she pulled back and said, "You should come with me whenever I go if you liked it so much! But for now we should be getting home because we have school tomorrow and it's..." she paused to look at her phone. "One thirty!" She then looked up and stared into his eyes, ,a little taken aback at how vibrant they were. Her face began to warm up as she continued to look into his eyes, so she quickly looked away and coughed. "So, let's get going!" she cheerily exclaimed as she grabbed onto Connor's arm and walked to her motorcycle.

Connor's breath caught when she hugged him, his entire body going stiff. How long has it been since I've been hugged? He grinned and allowed his eyebrows to rise momentarily. "I'd love that." Truly, Connor would love nothing more than to come again to a rave. Such an exhilirating experience! His head tilted slightly by her actions before she grabbed his arm. Surprisingly, he'd not stiffened up this time. A familiar tingle had began acting up in the pit of his gut, making him feel light on his feet.

Emma gave Connor her helmet again while she pulled on her leather jacket. She straddled the bike again and soon the two were off back to their little town in Washington. During the ride, Emma looked up to view the stars through the trees, allowing her speed to slow down a bit. She sighed and thought of the day as she looked forward again and couldn't help but feel something growing for Connor. I wonder what it is, she thought as she lost her self in her remaining adrenaline.

Connor put on the helmet and rode with a different expression, focused less on the world around him and more on the girl in front of him. That same tingling feeling remained, in fact, it grew. This feels so familiar. So much like then, but not at the same time. What is this feeling? So foreign. Long ago, I felt something similar I think, but that was just that. Long ago. Connor had lost himself in his thoughts, his eyes misted over. What the hell is going on with me?

Unfortunately, Emma had reached NeogeekS parking lot sooner than she wanted. She liked the feel of Connor's arms around her waist and didn't want him to pull away, but it had to happen sometime. Emma turned off her Ducati, which was hot from the long road trip, and sat there straddling her bike.
