Capitalism and free market, even though we don't even have true capitalism anymore. News flash, Barack Obama is now officially the first fascist President of the United States. [1]

So you'd rather that all the third world farmers got ripped off, because it suits you, and they'll be free. That's not being free. That's getting pretty much no money and being abused by their bosses - or, in the case of a lot of non-Fairtrade growers, owners. But yeah, they'd be economically free, so it's okay.
Not sure. Confederation, I guess.

RPG. Never really cared for horror.Voldemort point two So you'd rather that all the third world farmers got ripped off, because it suits you, and they'll be free. That's not being free. That's getting pretty much no money and being abused by their bosses - or, in the case of a lot of non-Fairtrade growers, owners. But yeah, they'd be economically free, so it's okay. Whoa, whoa. I'm not for exploiting the poor. I said free market because I meant a real free market that doesn't get bailed out by the government and where people work and put their ideas out and profit from their hard work. I don't appreciate it when people distort what I say and make it seem like I support slavery and ripping off others. But I suppose you'd prefer Socialism, is that it? I can play that game, too.

Microsoft. I hate all things apple. I'm proudly a PC. biggrin
Now, now, let's just chill out. Yes, free market looks good on paper, and yes, the free markets that actually exist have some serious flaws. You're both right.
But about the GMC thing, this whole thing makes me nervous. America is losing so many auto jobs due to layoffs and such. What needs to happen is they need to take Lee Ioccoca (sp?) and make him the new CEO of GMC. He headed up Chrysler back in the day when we had bad gas prices and everyone had to wait in line, and the company was going under and he saved it. The CEOs and stuff need to take a pay cut, and the American auto industry needs to come out with a more modern k-car, like the Horizons and Omnis of old. Small, fuel-efficient, cheap cars for your average American family. That's what'll save the industry.

Wasn't it in the USA that the government got rid of the electric car because of how much money oil made?

Tae Kwon Do.
I think the U.S. Government wanted to milk oil for all it's worth. I saw a documentary showing the thousands of electric cars thrown out by the manufacturer because the government didn't want them releasing them, so they started taking people's electric cars back. I believe one or two of them were kept by the buyers after a lot of protest. They destroyed the cars that they took back from the buyers.

Stay up late, that's a no-brainer!
I saw a documentary where they were talking about desgns for a really fuel efficient car a couple decades ago. One big name company bought the plans and rights and destroyed them because they didn't see any use for them gonk

I know. It's pretty stupid. But you should hear what Nestle did in Africa a few years ago. They gave the African women a free trial of milk powder for their babies, telling them it was better for the babies. It wasn't, and they didn't tell them they needed to boil the water before adding it to the milk. What's worse, when the free trial had run out, the women were forced to buy the milk powder because their bodies had stopped producing milk. And so a lot of babies died because the mothers couldn't afford the milk, and more died from illnesses from the dirty water. Yay, go Nestle! They got money out of it, and that's all that really matters.

Write a novel. I don't like many novels anymore since the only novels I liked were World War Two ones. It would also be nice putting my own ideas into a story, especially since the game I've been making has been at a stand-still forever because I hate designing maps over and over again.
