Casimiro laughed softly and walked out. "Don't want your pet to freak out again...just keep him from rubbing his eye." he said. "Though the damage has already been done."
Shemei sighed and nods, "Thank you." she said softly then turned to hold Firrah to him. She watched him as he started to wake up. "How are you feeling?" She asked soflty.

Firrah's ear twitched again at the sound of the voice that he was now able to identify as Shemei's, and he yawned, his body finally waking up.
"Whzgnon?" he mumbled groggily, trying to raise himself up from the bed. He managed to prop himself up on one elbow before he flopped down again, his strength still sapped by the drug he had been given.

Shemei rasied a brow and watched him, "Firrah...just relax...I wanted to make sure you were already....before getting you some food." This little male was quiet a handful. But she was his mother she was responsible for him. After all if it were not for him he would not be hurt.

Firrah yawned again and rolled onto his back, where he lay staring up at Shemei for several long moments before it dawned on him ... that he could see her ...
His unbandaged eye grew wide. "Hey," he murmured softly. "I ... can see you ..."
He raised one hand gingerly to his face, lightly touching the bandage over his injured eye, careful not to press hard or rub it at all. "It ... doesn't itch," he said in surprise. "What did you do?"
His ears perked up happily and his face split in a wide grin, and he sat up again, stronger now, and held his arms out to his friend for a hug.

Shemei's ears lowered at his excitement. He seems so happy about it but she knew she would have to tell him the bad news soon enough. She nods, "I am very glad it does not itch. Casimiro had to clean out allot of infection..." She looked away from him not looking at him at all.
"Dear little brother...he does not think that you will be able to see from the wrapped up eye." she whimpered softly.

Firrah felt uneasy, seeing how sad his dear friend looked, but when she told him that Casimirio had been the one to take care of him, he froze. And when she told him that he might not be able to see out of his wounded eye, he was shocked.
"But ..."
He could see how much it pained Shemei to have to tell him that, and he almost wanted to cry again, seeing how much she was hurting. He wasn't worried about his eye yet - that news hadn't quite sunk in - but he was very worried about her.
He shuffled forward and slipped his arms around her waist, laying his head against her chest and hugging her gently.
"It's okay, Shemei," he said bravely, looking up at her, his eye filled with worry. "I can still see you with this one."
And he nuzzled his head against her chest to let her know how important that felt to him.

Shemei sighed, "We might have been able to save it if I told you to Casimiro right away." she said softly holding him. Her hand rubbed the back of his head and shoulders softly.
"I am very sorry this happened becuase of me...I should not be the one taking care of you if I keep getting you hurt." she kissed the top of his head. "Are you hungry?"

Firrah shook his head vehemently. "No!" he exclaimed. "I'm glad you didn't take me to Casimirio! He would just cut me up more again!"
His arms tightened around her. "It's not your fault!" he told her again. "You didn't do it! It was Casimirio, he cut me up, he's the one that made my eye not work!"
He refused to let himself cry again. He didn't want Shemei to feel worse than she already did - he wanted her to feel better. She seemed to want to help him, so when she asked him if he was hungry, he nodded.
"I promise not to scratch this time," he told her, nuzzling the good side of his face against her belly. "It's not itchy at all!"

Shemei sighs, "Firrah...he was the one who tried to save your eyes...because I did not take you up to him in time your eyes not bad...and infected." She nods and smiles though it was a weak one, "Alright...lets get you some food...do you want to walk or ride.
She was a bit worried that his nudges were attempts to rub his eyes but she didn't want to say anything.

It didn't matter how many times Shemei told him that Casimirio had been the one to try to save his eye, in Firrah's opinion it was Casimirio's fault that they needed fixing in the first place, and he refused to change his opinion of the older male. He didn't know what infected meant, but he didn't particularly care. It was Casimirio who had caused it all. It was his fault, and his alone.
"Can I ride?" he asked in a hopeful tone, looking up at Shemei. "I still feel kind of woozy ... but maybe I can walk if I can hold your hand ..."
He looked pleased at that idea, too.

Shemei nods, "Yes...you can ride." She said and moved to stand on all fours at the end of the bed, "Get on and we will go sample foods." her tone was gentle and her movements were calm.
"I am sorry Firrah." she said softly. "I just want you to be happy...."

Firrah scampered over to Shemei and climbed onto her back, sitting just in front of her hips and wrapping his legs around her. It was much easier and much less scary now that he could see again.
He leaned forward and wrapped his dark arms around her neck, nuzzling the back of her head.
"And I want you to be happy," he told her, trying to sound as cheerful as he could. "If you are happy then I will be happy! Okay?"
He giggled a bit and sat up again.
"Maybe after we eat," he suggested, "we can go exploring or play a game, like we were going to before. Just ..."
His ears flattened against his head. "Just the two of us, not Casimirio, okay?"

Shemei nods, "If that is what you want then we can." she smiled lightly. "Well I will try to be more happy...I jst worry for you." She nods, "yes I would never make you be with Casimiro if you did not want too." she said and took him into the kitchen.

Firrah looked around as they entered the kitchen. He knew he had been in there before, but he had been bandaged up completely then, and he had no idea what it looked like. He smiled as he looked around, his legs tightening slightly on Shemei's sides with excitement.
"I like this room," he grinned. "Can you tell me everything about it?"

Shemei smiled and started to tell him everything she could. As she did she sat him down and got him small pieces of many kinda of food for him to try. She smiled and kissed his cheek, "Eat up Firrah."
