She couldn't help but notice that he never did answer her question.

"My heart desires..." Lorey honestly didn't know. The time spent walking to him and taking his outstretched hand didn't yield any sort of idea, though she knew she wanted to stay out. Then again, her dress would get in the way of quite a few things. The park was dangerous at night, with Richard getting assaulted and her propositioned last time.
"I really don't know. Isn't that something?" Lorey began laughing at herself. "Where could we go?"

"Drive around, make out somewhere and then come back like two good people to the house?" Lorey said with a strange boldness to her. Even her eyes glinted as she pulled away from him to walk ahead to the car. Blue eyes looked over her shoulder just to see that reaction.
"Sounds like fun." And she winked.

She burst out laughing, making a dash to her side of the speeder without his gentlemanly help to get her inside. Even she couldn't believe she'd done something like that, but at her age it felt right and fun. She wasn't a teenager anymore with someone to tell her no.

"Then all we have to do is drive!"

Lorey had settled down once they got in the car. Who really knew where Richard was driving, but the hovering speeder glided through street after street until they seemed to be in what looked like suburbia. They laughed and had normal conversation as they looked at the cute homes with modest gardens out front. Some even had gone more modern and had gravel outside their homes in what looked like Zen swirls. Lorey didn't think it looked as nice as the green, though, and made sure Richard knew that when they got a house of their own, there would be a yard and a garden.

Sometimes things took a turn and they talked about what people could be doing inside their houses. Most seemed to just be watching TV, not out like they were, and wasn't that sad?

"Sometimes I used to walk home and go past these neighborhoods, and just wonder what it would be like if I was inside their kitchen, watching their TV. I didn't have one in the apartment..." Which spanned into another conversation about mostly her past, since Richard wasn't too keen on bringing up his again.

The speeder took a turn into a small park-like area for the neighborhood they were in, and settled down in a small lot. No one was around, just the flowers here and there along with a beaten swingset for the kids who had probably grown up by then.
Lorey remembered what she had said before they left, which made her blush. And yet, looking at Richard in the pale light of the distant city, she did just want to kiss him.
So she did.

There was really no warning to it, not that her kisses were violent and anything to be frightened of. Lorey always had a gentle, sure way of kissing him without being so overly passionate. Even if she was about twenty-six, a part of her wasn't ready to surrender to Richard, even if they were in love.

Lorey's fingers went through his hair while the others cupped his face as well. Life had robbed her of many opportunities to have any sort of practice in this, but Richard had never complained, and for he most part she was following his lead. Still, it felt nice to be that close with him especially. She loved him.

Things became a little deeper as the minutes passed, but the steam ran out eventually. Lorey was becoming tired, and it wasn't until she accidentally kissed his nose that she realized just how tired she was.
"Sorry," she laughed out softly. "Sort of jammed your nose there..."

"Yeah..." Even if she was still returning the now slow kisses, her eyes were becoming droopy, and her attention span waning. The night had been wonderful and exciting. It was a miracle that she'd stayed awake for as long as she did when the attack still taxed on her a little. Makeup had covered the bruises on her neck, thankfully, but they were still there, and she was still reeling emotionally from it, even if she wouldn't admit to it.

Bright laughter was never in short supply when they were together. She tried her hand at pulling the lever on her seat, making sure not to be sent flying back. Just enough for a recline, and she was alright.

As they left the ground again, Lorey had to laugh at this classic situation. "I think you should know that you're really good at kissing..."
Her eyes were closing, the hum of the engine lulling her to sleep...
