Have you guys seen the player guide for KH2? (I dont use manuals but a friend pointed it out to me the other day) Theres freaking 350 pages eek

Ive never seen in my life such a huge guide sweatdrop
I know! I have the guide because, I thought 2 would be a little harder than one, but it was actually a lot easier. It wasn't as long but, there are a lot of places to go, and things to do.

That thing is like a brick! You lug it at someone and you can kill them! eek

Anyways, I haven't used a guide yet, and now I'm stuck while fighting Xaldin. XD

Dare I say it? ...help?

lol aww *huggles* I don't there I'm there yet (I have a lousy memory) so I don't think I can help ya. sweatdrop

^^ Thanks anyway! heart

Oh Xaldin was a PAIN IN THE a**. scream Use potions and hi-potions, and the Learn reaction command is a major life-savor. He has attacks that are unavoidable, so restoring health is important, and remember that drive forms replenish HP. I used Valor form to finish him off, the extra jump that's available in Valor was really helpful.

I'm finally up to The World that Never Was. ^^ I don't want to finish the game though. sweatdrop I like it too much. Unfortunately I have to return it on Monday, or there abouts. Maybe I can buy it soon.

Anyway, I think I'll try to make Ultima Weapon first, and at least attempt Sephiroth before finishing the game. ^^

3nodding

I beat the game last night. crying

. . .

I really didn't want it to end. sweatdrop But it was great!
Never did get Ultima Weapon though, I was missing an Orichalcum+ from somewhere. . . and I have to return the game today. Also tried just going ahead and beating Sephiroth. sweatdrop Yeah, in 20 minutes he beat me 10 times. neutral Though now I know what I was doing wrong, and I'm also missing an ability that would be very useful. This is why I hate running through games quickly. stressed
When I actually purchase the game I'm going to take my sweet time with it.

Quick question for those who have played KH2:

Do you need to have played CoM to understand KH2? I played the first KH and loved it like chocolate, but I have not yet played CoM, and frankly, I'm not sure I want to have to play it before I play KH2 (not that I don't like the game, I'm just really not fond of the card-battling system. It irritates me. >___< ).

So, yeah. Is it necessary to play CoM, or can I just look up a plot summary?

No worries, you don't have to play KH: CoM to understand KH II. I'm sure it gives you more background and all, especially with Organization XIII, but it's not necessary. I never played it and I fully enjoyed KH II.

The opening movie actually more or less gives you the gist of what happened. And then there's always the 'net. ^^

I currently am playing both Kingdom Hearts and KH: Chain Of Memories. I think that both are pretty easy, although if you play too long you can get a headache from KH. *faints* I have only gotten as far as the 4th floor to Castle Oblivion in Chain Of Memories, and am almost done beating that. Both games are a bit confusing, but are really cool to play.

Ratings:

KH: 8/10
KH: Chain Of Memories: 8.5/10

Hello to everyone. I have a question.

I've played a bit of KH1 on my friend's PS2 and I found the game to be a challenge at some points but it really wasn't enough challenge. I didn't finish it all the way through because my file got erased and I was too mad to start all over again. I read up on the story so I know what happened in the end.

I've played Chain of Memories which is the bridge between KH1 and KH2. Then I just saw one of my friends playing KH2 and I liked it much better than the first game. Should I go ahead and get part one or just skip it and get part 2? What do you guys think?

Well, from my standpoint, I am waiting for the price of KH2 to come down a bit more. I do agree that KH and KH: COM is a bit challenging. KH2 will be worth the wait.

In my opinion, if you have already seen waht the first two games bring, go ahead and get KH2.

Don't know if you still need help with this, but here's what I did.

Utilize your reaction commands like crazy! ^^ When it goes into that First Person view for him, just dodge his attacks and hit Triangle when it prompts you to.

When he's down and you can attack him, do so when you can. When he disappears and does that "spread shooting" attack (that's what I call it. He just stands in the middle and shoots in different directions), just jump out of the firing area. Same thing when he sort of "teleport shoots" at you. There will be guns in front and behind you, just jump out of the way. Whenever it says "Warp Snipe" in your Reaction Command, hit Triangle there too, it'll help take him down.

He's not too tricky of an opponent if you've got some patience and time your attacks right. And again, utilize those Reaction Commands! ^^ They're your friend.
