Title The end of happiness as we know it Part One For the first time in days, Enoh was granted the bliss of being able to sleep during the day. Yes, Ladies and Gents...Enoh was taking a nap. Having a baby severly limits the napping time, but luckily for her she had a wonderful husband and understanding children...and the two of them combined allowed her to nap today. This time, she was dreaming, her mind mingling all of her past experiences with her family, the ones that gave her a sense of pride or joy, and linked it in together to create the most interesting story that had something to do with a Princess, a Pirate, some Turks, and cookies.
Adonis' shrill shriek of hate is what woke her up, the tone itself causing the shifter to sit bolt upright, more awake than anything now. However...Adonis was known for screaming when he wasn't given something, even moreso lately, and she almost considered going back to bed; in fact, she was about to settle herself back under the blankets until she heard small foot steps go stomping up the staircase, followed soon after by a more delicate pair of feet.
Okay...that was abnormal. With a yawn, Enoh climbed out of bed and stretched, moving out of the room and down the hallway with the sole intent to see what it was that had made Adonis so upset this time. Naturally, today seemed the kind of day where every movement she made would be cut short, and that was proven true as a rather loud, screeching series of noises came from outside. Instead of heading to Adonis' room, Enoh ran back into her own room, which was much closer, and threw open the blinds.
Her red eyes widened as she watched the space ship take off out of her own backyard. Wait...a space ship?! Since when did... Already, the feeling of panic was forming a lump deep within the pit of her stomach. Something was wrong...and Adonis' sudden, angry wail of something to do with 'Squishee' didn't much help. In fact..it only made the lump bigger. Nio had always caved into Adonis, and Adonis had never come running upstairs in angry, distraught tears because of his father...and they've never had a ship take off from their backyard before. The panic grew.
"Nio?" She questioned rather loudly, hoping her husband would be within ear range. Knowing him...he should be up shortly to calm down the golden boy. The ship left Enoh's hearing range, and still...no sign of her husband. Stepping out of the room and leaning against the banister, she called out to him again. "Nio...?" A pause...and again, no answer. Her eyebrows knitted together in pure worry, her red eyes flooded with that very same emotion. The panic in the pit of her stomach screamed at her that something was very, very wrong...
Calmly telling herself that there was nothing to worry about, Enoh pushed down every ounce of panic she felt, holding her head high as she turned and hurriedly walked towards the sounds of Adonis' tears. Peering her head into the room, she eyed the pair inside before moving inside herself, sitting next to Adonis on the bed. "...Whats wrong, kiddo...? Where's Daddy?" After all, if Nio were the cause of the tale's tears, the tale would have an idea of where Nio was.

Donny wasn't in the mood to talk, even to his mother. He was distraught. How could his squishee do this to him after all this time? How could he go and betray him like this? It was unheard of, and Donny was sure it had everything to do with that monstrous little child that had been born. It made his face cringe even more just thinking about it. He turned away from his mother and curled himself inward, huffing.
"Ah.." Harmony sat on the edge of the far bed she used to call her own, watching the interaction silently. She looked pale, and just a touch disturbed. Would her mother think she was crazy if she told her what she had seen? "Daddy said he had important business.. and he left. I think. I.." Her voice trailed off at the end, at a loss for words. Her fathers attitude and the sudden appearance of a ship outside their house made her feel quesy in the stomach, much like her mother did. One might call it a woman's intuition.

Title The end of happiness as we know it Part Two Enoh listened intently to Harmony's words, though she was disappointed that Adonis had turned away from her. He'd been acting this way since Aurion was born...she could understand why, but it still kind of hurt. She still loved him dearly, too. The shifter recognized how vague Harmony's words were, and gently Enoh pressed her daughter for more information. Was there something Nio wasn't telling her? He had always informed her that he was going out, and if he had important business...then why was it she never heard of it before? That, coupled by the description of how Nio acted and felt to Harmony, just screamed wrong.
The queasy feeling was only getting stronger.
Thanking Harmony for everything, and giving her and Adonis a hug (whether he liked it or not, by the way), the shifter stood up and walked calmly out of the room, closing the door behind her. Important Business she wasn't informed of, the snapping, evil tone to his voice, the fact he'd called Adonis a brat...that wasn't Nio at all. It couldn't have been!
She stepped down the stairs in a thought-induced daze, only to find herself shivering once she got to the bottom of the staircase. Why was it so cold out...? Her red eyes drifted back to attention as she looked around for the source of the coldness...and found its origins in the wide open front door. Yet Enoh didn't close it. Staring at it dumbly for a moment, she eventually dragged her gaze to the left; Nio's coat was still on the coat rack, as was his hat. An intense fear bubbled from the pit of her heart as she dragged her gaze downwards, towards the shoe rack; his shoes were still there, too. Her stomach and her heart plummeted. There was no way, absolutely no way, that Nio would go outside without his jacket or shoes in this weather. No way.
"...Nio?" She called out uncertainly. It was a joke. It had to be! Harmony was teasing her, the door was opened to further the trickery... "Nio, this isn't funny!" She angrilly cried out, then waited for a response. Part of her wanted him to pop out of hiding, looking so sheepish and grinning in his own way, apologizing for scaring her...but the bigger part of her knew better. Nio wasn't hiding, Nio wasn't out on Business. Nio was gone. Her red eyes went back into focus, and she found that she'd been staring at the worst possible thing ever; drag marks in the dirt. Someone had been dragged out of her house, and flown away in that spaceship. She knew it. She knew it...!
A strange mix of frustration and despair took over her, and with shaking legs, she took an uncertain step forward towards the door, going to close it. Those weren't drag marks. Harmony was teasing her. The open door was a gag. The ship...the ship was her imagination, left over from her dreams. Drawing in a quivering breath, Enoh's legs buckled from under her, and in despiration, she fell against the door, following it as it swung to a forceful close from her sudden weight. "Nio, for ******** sake! ITS NOT FUNNY ANYMORE!" She angrilly yelled one final time to the Nioless house. No answer came, and tears began to flow freely from the shapeshifter's tightly closed red eyes.
She didn't know what was going on; she didn't know if Nio had suddenly taken a turn for the worst, or if he'd been kidnapped, or both...all she knew was that either way, she hated it. She didn't like the situation, and it confused and frustrated her to the point of tears.
Part of her told her she was alone now. Completely alone with a houseful of kids to take care of; and for all she knew, that was most definately the case. Drawing in a hiccuping breath, Enoh sank to her knees, resting the crown of her head, plus her hands on the back of the closed door. She knelt like that for some time, just letting the tears fall.

Title The end of happiness as we know it Part Three She couldn't stop them. The tears just kept on coming, without any end in sight. By this time, it wasn't only Enoh that cried; Aurion and Iva were wailing in confusion; even they, being no more than a newborn and an infant, could tell that something was seriously wrong. Like Enoh, they couldn't seem to stop crying, though Vidya and Samira were trying their very hardest to comfort them.
Enoh drew in a deep breath through her nose at one point, during her endless tears; and when she did, she found herself wallowing farther into the darkness her mind was creating for her. She could still smell him...! He was here not too long ago...He and two other people stood there at one point, where she was crying - A shapeshifter's nose never lies, especially when the nose belongs to a Suieri Shapeshifter, a type of demon cat.
Wait. Two other people...?
Enoh's tears subsided at this revelation, her mind filled with the same panic and fear, only with more confusion thrown directly at it. She hiccuped a few more times, lowering her head closer to the ground and giving the floor a faint sniff. Yes, there were three predominate scents here, and the cold air preserved them for her to find. Unaware that the children who were watching her were giving her ridiculous stares, the shifter backed up a bit, her shoulders still trembling from the crying she'd been doing, and her hiccups still functional...but even though that, she paused at the odd time to sniff the floor. A few times of doing this, she stopped and crouched, staring blankly ahead of her, as if trying to figure out what she had just learned.
There were many scents on the floor, but as things usually go, the more predonimate ones are the more recent ones...and the most recent one further into the main hallway was a scent that she did not recognize by any means...and Nio's scent, at least the more predominate ones, ended at the doorway from the living room, and not towards the kitchen like this strange scent she'd picked up.
That meant there was an intruder at some point.
"...Hm." Suddenly Enoh stood, her pose giving off grim determination. Though her crimson eyes were still puffy from crying, she turned to face the children that had gathered around the staircase, her expression more commanding than anything they'd ever seen. "Go upstairs. All of you." Her tone was harsh at first, and upon noticing some of the kids flinch, she realized she was using her tone from her days as a mercenary...and automatically calmed herself down, returning to her motherly tone. "I mean...Mommy has some important things to do...and she really needs the house entirely to herself. Please go to your rooms and pack some things, alright? Get everything that necessary...but you can pack some things that you want. Think of it as a little vacation, okay?" She smiled almost carelessly at her kids, though she realized they were beyond worried by this point. Many of the younger ones looked at the older ones to confirm that they should do what their mother had said, and the older ones merely stared in pure confusion at their Mother, as if wondering the same thing. "Alright now, please do as I ask...and meet me in the living room when you're finished, alright?" She urged. Though too stunned to know what to think or how to react, they did as they were told; though they murmured amungst themselves in their confusion.
Waiting until everyone had gone back to their own rooms, and until she could hear the sounds of them packing, Enoh finally turned around and went into the kitchen, looking nowhere but at the phone.
As important as her husband was, she knew from experience that when something bad happened, the family was always targeted. So what better way to stop that from happening, than to have the entire house completely devoid of life? The shapeshifter didn't understand what was going on yet; between her husband's disappearance, the strange account from Harmony, and the unfamiliar scent on the floor of her house...but whatever it was, Enoh was going to resolve it. This meant war.

Title The end of happiness as we know it Part Four Minutes later, Enoh was already on the phone, dialling the numbers of anyone she and Nio considered close. First came Dee, since they had lived with Dee and her fmaily for many months after the Gambino Tower partially destroyed their house.
"Dee? Hi. Its Enoh. I'm sorry but...Could I ask a favor? Hm? Well...Oh, well its not like that. Well...maybe it sort of is, but kind of worse. Nio's missing. Ow! I-I'm alright, Dee...for now anyw--No, I'm fine! Nobo--NOBODY IS HURT. Yeah. I'm going after him. Yes. Uh-huh. ...No. I have no idea. Thats why I need you! Yeah. ...You're making this harder than it should be. Stop. Stop it! If you say that again, I'm going to cry. Done? Okay, good. If its not too much trouble...could you watch the kids for me? I just do--Oh well yeah, thats why I called you first. You will? AHH THANK YOU! You're a life saver! I don't want them in the house, just in case, you know? Uh-huh, Today. As soon as possible. No, I'm not. Uh huh, Thats right. Just them. You have my cell phone number, right? Yeah? Okay good. Contact me if anything happens; Yes yes, I will, I promise... R-right...Thank you again, Dee...it means so much...A-alright...Bye.." Click. That went better than expected, though with Dee on the other end, positively freaking out about the situation...well...Enoh was nearing her tears once more, and that just wouldn't do. Although now her tears were partially due to relief; her kids would be safe now, since Dee's house was more like a fortress, and Enoh had worked with Dee during their years as Mercenaries. So in the means of 'Just in case', the children were definately safest at their 'Aunts' house. The rest of the calls she'd make today were to keep other people alert on what was going on, and how to contact her if it was an emergency or if something new came up. Another thing she learned from her mercenary days, was that you had to open as many opportunities as possible...and in this case, she had to put everyone she knew on alert, in case something happened and she wasn't around to witness it. Next came Inle's house.
"Hello, Inle? Its Enoh. Oh Ha-ha...I'm surprised you answered, too. Anyway, I did call for a reason. Yes, she's still here. She's upstairs. Anyway...Look, I'm not sure whats going on for sure right now, but...Nio's missing. Today. Maybe not even half hour ago, I do-don't know. They're going to Dee's. Me? I'm going after him. I...have my ways. I can't explain now! But I...I promise I will when everything's resolved. Yeah...I will. If its not too much trouble...Could you just keep an eye out on everything...? I don't know, I'll leave that to your own judgement. Thanks....For everything. Here, my cell phone number is 870-4521...call me there if you see anything. Thank you so much Inle...Alright. Thanks, You too. Bye."
Why...why was telling people what happened so hard? She didn't even know what happened yet, and even then, it was tearing her apart. Her Kitsune ears could still pick up the voices of the kids upstairs; it sounded like Teivel, Mieke and Samira had taken over up there, and directing everyone else as to what to do and what was important or not; and really, Enoh couldn't have asked for better kids. Tears welled up in her eyes once more; on top of everything else, she was swelling with pride...nobody could have asked for better kids to help them out. She was so...so lucky...given the circumstances, at least.
Once she pulled herself back together, Enoh made two more phone calls, one to Eight, and the other to Pales' house. The call to Eight had ended up similar to the call to Inle's, though Eight insisted that the kids go to her house. Enoh had to explain why they were going to Dee's house; it was more of a comfort issue, so that they weren't being flung anywhere unknown in an already confusing and frustrating situation. However, the second call to Pales' home was more...interesting. Instead of Pales, she got the voice of another man, a teenager it sounded like. And this teenager was nowhere near stable at the moment, though he wasn't crying. According to him, Pales had gone out earlier in the day, and he had yet to come home, or call, or use the link. Wait, Link? Nevermind that, it wasn't important...what was important, was that now Enoh knew it wasn't only Nio that was missing. But Pales too. Wait...Pales...
That scent! The third scent at the door, the second familiar one! That was Pales! Pales was at her home too, and now he too was gone...! How could he get caught up in this? However, she may have been wrong, perhaps Pales had visited while she was asleep, and left. She had yet to investigate his scent, and she didn't want to worry the already panicking teenager on the other end of the phone. Trying her hardest to calm him down, she eventually did the job somewhat, after saying perhaps he was caught up in something; which could go entirely two ways, but still the teenager (who was named Tyr, or so she gathered) took it the better way, and used that to calm himself down. With this new bit of information stowed away, she finally got off the phone with him.
Once everyone on her list was called, she went to the living room, and met the faces of her children, each of them with a packed bag, and looking thoroughly confused.

Title The end of happiness as we know it Part Five Now facing her children, Enoh felt the worst fear and anxiety that she had felt since this entire senario started. Now facing her children, Enoh feared for what was to come, and what would happen to their once happy, close-knit family. The shapeshifter was breif and very vague, and she wouldn't give exact details as to what was happening, but she was most definately very, very clear that she wanted nobody in the house at any time, until she herself came to them, in person, and told them it was safe to do so. Obviously her tone got through to them, as she had once more, without realizing it, taken up her militia tone of command...even though she had rounded off the edges, to not scare her dearest children any more than they already were.
Enoh promised to contact them whenever she got the chance, and after a round of hugs, kssing, well-wishes and words of comfort, she saw them out the back door and off towards Dragonfly's house with Vincent, Tino and Teivel driving. She hated to see them leave, and more than ever she realized how much she hated an empty house...but she knew it was what she had to do, even if she faught back tears with everything she had. They were safer this way, away from the place they called home for the past long while...
Facing the empty house again, she decided to get to work at quickly as possible. To do what she wanted quickly, she had to change completely; and by changing completely, she'd be destroying all the vows she had made to never, ever shape change; She loathed what she was, but now she had to accept it; it was either change and get it done faster, or spend months as a half-human on the verge of breaking down. Given her choices, she broke the vows she'd made and kept to herself for years. Closing her eyes, she forced herself to relax, and she forced herself to shapeshift.
It had been so long...and yet it still came to easily to her. Her body shrank downwards until she was unable to stand on two legs, her entire bone structure silent and gracefully changing from that of a human, to that of a canine feline mix, and even her face contorted to match the canine-feline look; her arms and legs shifted into finely muscled legs, and finally her hands and feet turned into paws, coupled a long tail to complete the look (Think Red XIII from FFVII). Her clothing discintigrated and melted away into a shimmering silver-coloured fur that covered her from head to toe; even her once kitsune coloured ears turned silver, and gained little tufts of the same colour at the very tips. Her tattoos remained in the same area, and in the same colour of blue, even against the background of silver; her eyes remained crimson. The beast form she took was probably a little taller than a tiger, and perhaps half of a foot longer from the tip of her nose to the tip of her tail; and as strange as this beast form was, it was sleek, powerful, and strangely beautiful at the same time.
She didn't know where the form came from, but when she wanted it, it was the first thing to come to mind. Perhaps it was a predominate form her race took, but then again she didn't know for sure. Now a blue-tattooed silver beast, Enoh was free to pick up the scents of those she hunted; specifically the maker of that unfamiliar scent that led to her kitchen. Her mind knew she was on a mission, and as such, the mission was the only thing that flooded her mind. Search, Aquire, Destroy. Perhaps not in that exact order, but close enough. Search for the kidnappers, Aquire her husband, Destroy anything that got in her path...as was the way of a mercenary, as was the way of her race. To her, this really was war, a very, very personal war.
The beast, with her mussel to the ground, pawed along the main corridor, picking out and following the scent of the intruder all the way into the kitchen, where she followed it around inside the smaller room, then back towards the front door. When she reached the door, she gave it a critical crimson-eyed stare before partially rearing up, gripping the doorknob in her sharp, heavily-toothed jaw and turning it, pulling it backwards to open it far enough for her to get outside. Once the problem with the door was out of the way, she followed the drag marks in the ground, plus the familiar and unfamiliar scents around the house and to the backyard. From there...the trail just disappeared.
That ship... She spoke to herself mentally. The trail of the three scents ended here, and here was the same place the spaceship took off; that was remembered, at least. Not to mention there were marks left on the ground in the backyard itself. Standing there for a moment, the beast flicked her ears backwards, and turning around she padded back into the house, heading back into the kitchen. The kitchen was, after all, the only place where the unfamiliar scent was most dominate. Still sniffing around, she eventually put her nose against the fridge, and eventually craned her neck upwards...the scent was on the fridge, as well.
It took her two seconds to notice Alania's address and phone number had been ripped off from under the magnet. Perfect, She thought My next stop.... With that, she reverted to her humanoid form again, her bone restructuring themselves, and her fur turning back into the baggy t-shirt and jeans she had been wearing that day. Looking rather pleased with herself, despite all that had happened, she ran upstairs to grab a few, rather important things.
In her room, though the urge to cry had rising back up inside of her, she changed into her training uniform, since it was the single outfit that would give her complete freedom of movement if need be, and it was light enough to not make shifting difficult. Judging by what she had seen and connected already, she'd need to be fully prepared for anything, even a fight. Her attire, a fitting sleeveless crimson top and an equally crimson pair of shorts that looked nearly identical to a Japanese gym uniform for girls. To prepare for the weather, she wore black thigh-high socks and elbow-length gloves, plus a pair of comfortable, but durable shoes. Around her hips she crossed two flexible belts, one holding a series of small holders that contained her razor-tipped throwing darts, and the second belt had a place holder for her metal, spike-tipped fan; her main weapon.
Still, it was as though she was an entirely different person; she was strangely calm under all this pressure now. Perhaps it was because she was at home in her training uniform, surrounded by her beloved weaponry...or because she had a destination now, or perhaps a bit of both. Either way, she was ready for whatever would be thrown at her.
With that in mind and an extra copy of the address stowed away in her memory, Enoh walked out the front door, locked it nice and tightly, stowed the key in one of the pouches on her belts...then finally morphed back into her beast form, the clothing and even her belts melting into her blue tattooed, silver fur. With a feral growl, the beast took off into a powerful run, leaving her empty home behind her, and heading straight for Alania's house.

Enoh's Diary Life is just too busy Sept 14, 2006
Dear Diary:
It took a lot, but I'm starting to believe that things are settling back into place. Its hard to imagine how broken the family was just earlier this year, and I'm more than proud of all of them for continuing to smile and laugh like they do. Its like...nothing ever happened, and for that, I'm thankful. I don't know what I would of done if I didn't have my dear children and my friends beside me, to help me through it.
But we made it, and we made it as a family...perhaps now, months later, life can start getting back to the way it should be, in our house in beautiful Gambino.
Actually, listening to the house now...its quiet, so quiet. Occassionally I'll hear Aurion and Iva shout at eachother in baby contests of vocal prowess, occassionally Mieke's beautiful twins, Minoru and Maral, decide to join in on the fun. Well, if they're around, anyway. Lately, that herd have been staying at Sukkubus'. Mieke decided she didn't want Momo to be forgotten by his Mother, so she talked him into visiting them with her when they could.
As for Teivel, he still lives in the basement, and that suits him just fine. Besides, I like having him around, he's fun to bully into babysitting. Samira and Tino still live here too, as well as a gaggle of teenagers and cherubs I'll probably never lose.
Vidya...has remained herself, for the most part. Still half blind but still able to get around, I really have to admire her strength. But that girl just won't get glasses. I'm not even sure they'd help, but they might. I thought that whole Nio senario might break her happy self but...thank god it didn't. Up until recently she'd been the loudest person in the house just because she didn't like it being so silent. She's like a breath of fresh air here. Lately she's been sore and exhausted but...I'm not too worried about her, this happened once before, when she made the transition from toddler to child.
Of course, I'm still worrying about her.
Aurion and Iva though, I think they took the blow the hardest. Aurion gets withdrawn on occassion, and I don't think he's too fond of Nio. Oh he won't scream or cry, but he's not all that "talkative" to Nio when Nio's holding him. I hope he grows out of it, but at least he'll look at his father now. Iva'll babble like she always does, but she seems withdrawn, even from me. She's been a baby for so long...I don't know if she'll ever break from her infantile shell and sprout like the rose I know she'll be.
Aurion's adorable though, with me he's all smiles and giggles. He still chews on his ears though, and he's gotten more than a few sores on his ears from gumming them but...he just won't learn NOT to. I've given up trying to warn him. I figure he'll learn his lesson once he associates the pain in his ears to his gumming on his ears. I can only hope he won't get teeth until he learns it, though.
The other day he was staring at me. He didn't babble, he didn't squirm or move. He just started at me. Blankly. When I stared back at him, he kept staring. He didn't blink. I was JUST about to run over and see what was wrong, but then he just burst into giggles and fell onto his side! My son is such a goon!
Anyway, my wrist is starting to hurt so...I'll end it now.
Ciao! -Enoh

~~~~~
"No, no I can't.."
"But you must remember him, Nio! He's your s-"
"I know what he is, I know they're all mine, I've seen the pictures. I've heard the stories. Please.. this hurts enough as it is."
Their voices were loud enough to wake Adonis, and he had gotten up to complain, but Donny was frozen at the stairwell. He couldn't see his father, but he could see the picture frame in his hand. A picture of their whole family.
"I want to remember, Enoh. I want another miracle. But all I can remember is you."
Donny took a step, and a squeaky toy announced his presence. His father shot up from the seat in which he sat in the kitchen, and his mother stepped sideways. Both of them turned to look at him.
All I can remember is you.
He had forgotten them.
October 31st, 2006. 11:42PM
First time I saw you standing on the corner, Thought maybe I'd died and went to Heaven. But I got to thinking and baby, I knew better 'Cause I know that angels dont, angels dont wear high-healed shoes. I don't need an angel That don't fly around the blue I'd be more than grateful With a woman that was just like you..
~~~~~~~~~
Nio kicked off the clunky shoes, that clanked as they hit the floor. He hadn't chosen a very easy outfit for Halloween; so heavy and bulky, and the metal parts kept clanking against each other and him. He was sure he was chaffed in the most inconvenient places. But oh, it was worth it to see Enoh dressed up tonight. And the kids had enjoyed his antics, so he couldn't complain.
All those smiling faces, the laughter, it felt so good to see them all happy. And to be a part of it.
He still heard the yammerings of several children downstairs, hopped up on candy. There would be little sleep tonight, he surmised with a crooked smile.
He unhooked the clasp of his heavy mail armor, and began the lengthy process of trying to squeeze his way out of it. Ahhhh, a breeze. heart

After she'd herded the children into the main room and basement, letting them entertain themselves as they saw fit. She knew Halloween would be a night of no sleep and lots of candy...so she was sure to leave the main floor rooms, and the basement, open for their entertainment. All on strict orders to only go upstairs if something was on fire, someone was hurt, or if they decided to sleep in their own beds...or anything else that might count as an emergency.
Enoh liked her outfit...it was very tight and grasping yes, but it was strangely comfortable. The only real downside to it was...well...it was freezing out. Skimpy outfits and trick or treating do NOT match. No, no they do not. She'd long since kicked off her stiletto nitemare boots to save her poor ankles as she set Aurion in his cradle, still dressed as a grunny. He was just too cute to NOT keep him in costume!
Returning to her room, she snuck up behind Nio and lightly pressed the fingernail of her index finger betwen his shoulderblades.
"Ah, the Paladine is disarming, Evil reigns supreme~" She teased in a low voice.

Enoh's fingernail was cold. Nio practically jumped out of his skin as she touched him, and pulled off the rest of the top of his armor over his head, dropping it to one side. He turned around, raising a brow.
"I hate to say it. But.. evil pretty much reigned supreme the entire day, love." He held up the chain around her arm and tugged it to him. "I didn't stand a chance."
The chain was freezing, as well. Nio dropped it and put his hand against Enoh's arm, feeling the cold of her skin. "You're freezing," Nio whispered worriedly, turning her around and wrapping her up in his arms to warm her. His hands rubbed up and down against her upper arms. "You poor thing, why don't you go put on a sweater or something? I'll go make you a cup of hot chocolate or tea if you want it."

Enoh chuckled softly as he announced her the winner from the start, only happily moving towards him as she was pulled. "At the beginning, maybe but ah...No, you didn't." She purred softly, then gasped a bit when she was pulled into his arms.
"I was going to but...I couldn't resist!" The shifter wiggled herself out of his grasp, only happily ridding herself of the chain that wrapped around her neck and down her arm. "I'll be alright, hun...I just need a sweater and some cuddles...I'll be just fine after that!" She giggled, digging through the closet for her heaviest sweater.
She didn't want to get out of her costume yet, she liked it too much!
When she found it, she put it on over her costume...and about a minute or two later she got rid of the skull choker around her neck. For a moment, she picked at her fishnet stalking....then, upon deciding to keep them on, she just shrugged and went back to Nio, nuzzling her head under his chin. "Ah, I love halloween~"

Nio was all too happy to offer up his unending stash of cuddles to his wife. He sat on the bed and waited patiently for her to put on a sweater and return to him, before wrapping her up in his arms once more.
"Oh, really? Why's that?" He asked quietly. He thought it was a fun holiday, but he couldn't really say he loved it. He loved Enoh's costume.. but that wouldn't be her costume every year. So, he loved her in the costume more than anything. He reached around and tugged at her legs, so that she would sit with them indian style and he could reach them enough to warm them with rubbings.
A delightful little squeal pierced the air as Aurion suddenly noticed one of the carrots in his mobile twirling. From over the edge of the crib, all Enoh and Nio could see would be a tiny, chubby hand reaching up for it. His hand opened and closed in grabbing motions, but the movement was invisible to the naked eye, hidden underneath the paw of the Grunny outfit.

Enoh humored Nio, bringing her legs around to sit like he wanted her to. Purring softly, her own arms went around him, her head moving to rest on his shoulder.
"Well...its a good day for pretend...Not to mention the free candy and the scary things." She started, tapping his spine everytime she listed something she liked about Halloween. "I also got the chance to be your villain, which was fun...and..." She slowly cut herself off, her red gaze moving towards Aurion's crib and watching his little hand try and grab at the carrots.
"And that is why. " The shifter said with a sound of adoration, nuzzling into her husband again. "I love seeing how excited the kids are, and I love how I can dress our son up in ridiculous costumes without him objecting." The happy mother giggled, her still devil-shaped tail curling in glee.
