Tess parted her lips to- but quickly spun her head to stare at the approaching noise, her hair almost smacking Gregory. Her hand flew from his hair to her's as she nervously flattened it down, then down to his other hand to twist their fingers together. "Christina..." She wanted to add something to that sentence like, "What are you doing here?" But she knew that it technically was her room and she technically just found the two of them in it. Her thumb began tracing a circle on Gregory's hand and she leaned closer, unsure of what Christina was going to say or do.

Christina's feet meet the ground of her room as her eyes were locked onto the couple. Holding up her indew finger for a moment, her jaw slacked as if she was about to say something. "I'm... I'm not even going to ask how you two even got in here." She slowly walked over to her closet and pulled out a long hood cloak. Pulling it on, she buttoned it up and walked up to them. "Um... Why the hell are you two in here? Wouldn't either of your rooms be more romantic?" She was oddly calm after being faced with this scene. The soft but warm material of the cloak was helping immensely, and it seemed like she wasn't letting this ruin her somewhat good mood. Though, seeing Tess and Gregory practically all over eachother was a bit unnerving..

Gregory's eyes followed his boss's move with cautiousness. "Well, we... Ahem, we were just.." He didn't know what to say. Subconsciously, his fingers began to drum against Tess's arm as his mind was panicking to no end. "Why'd you come through the window? Wouldn't the door be more suitable?" It might not have been the most wise decision to face her question with another, but he just couldn't find a believable answer. His eyes darted towards the window as he began to wonder how long the fall was... until he realized that he couldn't leave Tess here alone to deal with Christina. "Tess, let's hope you can come up with a good excuse, 'cause I got nothin'." The look on his face made his thoughts all too readable.

Tess blinked quickly then quickly began to improvise, ”Well, Christina… You know, we were just… Erm…” Though her words came slowly, a (strange) lie was slowly forming, no Christina wasn’t going to get the truth, ”Inspecting the room! And the key we had fell through a… crack in the floor.” One of her hands subtly sliced a hole in the carpet, just in case evidence was needed, then she continued with this abstract tale. ”Then, I, uh, tripped! And Gregory caught me?” She was beginning to become a bit confused with her own lie but continued onwards, ”And soo... Yeah… That’s why we’re here…” She started to giggle at the absurdity of all this and leaned forwards, resting her forehead on Gregory’s shoulder, letting her own shoulders shake with silent laughter.

Christina looked back and forth between them. It was all too obvious that they were involved. Christina's hands rested at her hips as she thought carefully about Tess's words."I assume the key was my spare which Gregory had?" She asked as she walked towards them. "A crack, you say? I don't see any crack.." She knelt before her and ran her hand over the torn carpet, pushing her finger against the solid ground. "Let's say that I believe your words. How did you make it up here if you were in the bar? Gabrielle made sure that I did not enter, and I don't see how else it could've been done.." She smirked at both of them. "Care to.. enlighten me?"

Greg swallowed hard, hoping that he could cover up the holes in Tess's story. "Who said the crack was over there?" He cleared his throat, smiling bitterly. "We came from the back room. There was a leak in there, and that's why we came to check your room out. And yes, the spare key." He helped Tess and himself to their feet, and ran his hand through his hair. "As you can see, Tess's foot got caught the the ripped carpet, forcing her to fall and I caught her. You still haven't answered my question, though."

Tess nodded along with what Gregory was saying and easily untangled herself from Gregory as they got up, though she already missed the fluttering warmth his skin had given her. She sighed and took a respectful step back, clasping her hands together behind her back, staring a bit sullenly at the carpeted floor. Tess heard something in her mind and automatically mumbled, ”Gabrielle says Christina was causing a… fuss in the lobby…” Then her eyes widened and her hands flew to her mouth, both realizing and fervently hoping against what she’d just said. She began subtly sliding sideways, making sure not to trip on the carpet, until Gregory was between her and Christina, as if he could shield Tess from Christina. If what Gabrielle said was true then Christina’s emotions might be a little bit on the dramatic side, and Tess maybe should have watched her mouth.

Christina stood up along with them and walked back to the window. "Gregory, you and I both know that there is no possible exit out of the back room unless you go through the door that leads to the bar, or you have a gaint truck open the wall." She shook her head at their feeble lies. "I don't have to make any excuses for my actions. Or explain myself to you, Gregory." Her gaze instantly darted towards Tess as she spoke of Gabrielle. "I was causing the fuss? Gabrielle yanked the rug out from under a guest and pointed a gun at him for saying that she was a figment of my imagination. Then she almost literally tore a hole through me. So, who was making a fuss?" She sat on the window sill, glaring holes into the couple. She expected Tess to answer since she was basically responsible for the spirit... though, Christina would hate to admit that hanging out with Gabrielle for the short amount of time was amusing... That's besides the point, though.

Gregory frowned, knowing that Christina was speaking the truth. By now, Gregory knew it was better to keep his mouth shut before getting both him and Tess in too deep; he was already indebted to Christina, and that was one thing he didn't want Tess to be a part of. He was tempted to do a heroic pose and say something catchy as Tess stepped behind him, but it would've been too ridiculous. Gregory didn't doubt that both Christina and Gabrielle were causing a fuss, but refrained from commenting. So, instead, he made a subtle italian hand gesture to Christina. It seemed as though he was scratching under his chin, but the smirk on his face made the action seem much less innocent.

Tess opened and closed her mouth a few times at Christina before finally saying, "I- I wouldn't know what she's done. I wasn't there, remember? Gabrielle has to be responsible for her own actions..." She glared at the floor and, under it, the source of this problem. The tension in the air was almost palpable and, as if to test that, she lifted a finger out from behind Gregory and drew it through the air. Nothing happened, she hadn't exactly expecting anything to. She let her hand fall back to her thigh, careful not to touch Gregory. It wasn't because she didn't want to, but because of the look Christina was giving her. She wouldn't be surprised if she spontaneously combusted soon.

Christina sighed, rolling her eyes before looking back at Tess. "It was a rhetorical question. Don't you guys have some sorta link anyway? I mean, you two were together for, like, ever so not only should you two know how eachother thinks, you should know how reckless she is! Right now, I bet you, she probably scared a guest half way to their second death!" She gaped at Gregory as he flipped her off. "Gregory VonKar! You stop that right now, or I'll throw you down that elevator shaft and listen for the splatter when it goes to the rooftop! And don't think I won't do it, young man!" She was serious, but the sound of her own voice scolding him as if he were her child-- which he kind of was-- almost put a smile on her face. "Now, I want both of you outta here. Next time this happens I'll kill the two of you." She walked over to the door and unlocked it with her key. Turning the knob and stepping aside, she pointed out the door with a look on her face that finished the statement for her: "... Unless you'd rather have me kill you now?"

Gregory's free hand darted back and snatched Tess's. He gave it a cautious squeeze, and took a few steps away from Christina. Slowly, he slid his other hand into his pocket and guided his woman out the door. "Oh, I'm sorry, mother. I didn't realize itching my neck would offend you." He felt a bit hypocritical at the moment, but it was too late to take his words back. He slightly bowed his head and swiftly pulled Tess along. Now at the opposite end of the hallway, he rested against the wall and smiled. He knew Christina could still hear them, but he was just happy to be out of there. His thumb began to brush softly against Tess's as he smiled up at her. "Where to?" he asked in a whisper; not that he felt that he had to. It was just an old habit.

Christina glared as they walked out. As Gregory and Tess hurried down the hall she called out, "Don't become too occupied Gregory, dearest! Soon, we'll have some business to discuss!" She slammed the door and and approached the window again. She snarled, leaning outside. "My room... it reeks now. Damn the both of you." She was still a bit baffled by how they actually got in the room, and only assumed the Gabrielle was a part of it. Deciding that there were more important things to think about, she let out a grunt and hopped out the window.

Tess could practically feel the air become less constricting around her body when she exited Christina’s room. She sighed happy and hurried after Gregory to the other end of the hallway, away from Christina. She kept her hand in his and happily stood next to him, enjoying the smooth movement of Gregory’s thumb. She leaned towards him until her breath tickled his hair. ”Well… I think we should stay out of others’ rooms, but besides that I’m happy wherever. Just so long as you are with me.” ’Eww… That was corny… Ah well, too late.’ She smiled gently at him.

Gregory grinned brightly, knowing that her words sounded like something he'd say. "Well, we do have a few options. Back to the first floor-- which mostly everyone is probably present. To the second floor-- that's usually abandoned. Or.." He paused, bringing her hand to his lips. "There are two options here." He was surprised by himself. His personality was the least-bit flirtatious, and he knew there was a 90% chance of being shot down. He pushed those thoughts deeper into the back of his mind as he brushed his lips gently against her skin. He knew Tess was just as happy to be out of there as he was, and Christina wasn't present anymore. "Too fast? Hm.." His thoughts echoed in his mind.
