Nami: Thanks. I was just playing around after you brought up borders. I think I like the green better than the pink. I can make them both in either color, but... you get the point. I hope. *giggle*
Meri: *tries to visualize* I think round, as would be the maille neckline.
No, sorry I didn't mean nice as in fancy. The edging would be plain, in a secondary color *toys around with the idea of the sleeves and the neck both having slits in them*
I Kind of like this: http://www.a2armory.com/images/armor/alumchainmail.jpg No coif. Sleeves on both the undershirt and the maille stop above the elbow. Maybe instead of square "corners" at the split near the groin round them out a bit. No edgin on the chain like in the picture, but that's kind of waht I was thinking with the undershirt sticking out a bit.
Undershirt probably would not have that cut. at the bottom. I think you're right, straight would work better. *nods*
Change the eyebrows and let's see.
Probably goes with out saying, but remember that chainmaill hangs differently from cloth.

Mail just kind of...hangs, doesn't it? XD Too heavy and thick to really fold or gather unless you've got stupid amounts of excess chain squished together, and there shouldn't be much unidirectional pulling if the shirt was put together properly and the person's just standing there.
Ou, and Konami, is there anything about lineup-Letalus that I ought to fix? (Other than adding in his cloak and sword.)

He looks great! Only thing I'd ask is to change the cloak to black. Seeing it on paper, I think I prefer it to brown. @~@; If you can't change it, that's alright, though. heart

Meri: Yeah it kinda just hangs. I haven't made a shirt, but I've made jewelery. Just a necklace is heavier than it looks. And I'm not using steel rings. It's not just the thickness, it's the rings too. They have some play, but they'd keep it from really folding. Of course that would also depend to a certain extent which pattern and what size of rings you're using. Some of the patterns seem to allow for a little more play than others.

Konami: Changed the cloak color. :3 Still need to add Merro's cloak and Letalus' sword! *makes note for self* http://www.merikitten.net/gaia/shiny/sentelle_inprogress.jpgPlease refresh if you still see the older version. In this one you should see two Sentelles and one floating head. XD Left: Shirt look okay? I put the slits in that you were unsure about. Middle Head: Changed the eyes and mouth, too, just in case the eyebrow make-over didn't help matters much. Right: Chainmail shirt with rounded edges at slit. Added wing detail to boots and flattened the soles. And you said "gauntlets" but then only mentioned her forearms. Did you mean greaves? Do you want me to try a leafy layered pattern for the armor, since the wing idea didn't pan out?

Okay, Avery is actually much clearer in my head now. This helps a great deal in clearning up the armor issue for me. Roses. Incorporated into the design of her armor are wild roses. I don't want this looking all femanine and girly, the roses would be present, but not prominent. Perhaps play up the leaves and stems (thorns included) more. Her armor is definetly silver and the roses, in relief, are a pale brown and yellow and the stems and leaves a pastel green. I'll have to see if I can find an image of a chocolate rose for you, I wish I could remember it's proper name ^^; — granted it would be the garden variety and not a wild rose... chocolate rose brings up a brown variety and that's not the one I'm looking for.
His last name (and now hers) translated to common is roughly "path of the wild flower" also the proposal and roses...
I also see tears and/or rain being symbolic of their relationship, not something that her in-laws, who gifted the armor, would have been aware of, but that seems to want to be present somewhere in the image.
Okay, with my excitement out of the way I can look at the rest of the image.
I do like the shirt. *inner struggle* It seems that functionality wins over pretty and there are no slits. cry The edge of the armor sleeves may go just past the edging so that it is only the edging that peeks out. The bottom of the chain shirt is longer so that the slit would end just below the groin, and part of her legs are covered. The length of the undershirt ending at (or just above) the groin and the armor just past.
The face on the floating head is definetly not right! The face looks better with the eyebrows changed. The mouth looks right. It seems to be something about the eyes. Quite likely it's simply becaues they're blank presently, and lend themselves to a vacant look. ^^; I'm sure you've got a much better grasp on drawing people than I do, but the eyebrows seem a bit high?
Whoa! Sentelle cringed at her hands being covered up like that. They are sill gauntlets. *searches for image* Something similar to this. Protecting the back of her hands but leaving her palms and her fingers free. She is quite insistant about her palms being free.

Ooo! *squeals*
Sentelle: *shocked gasp* But I would never wear anything that showed cleavage! PROTEST!
Jen: stare
She seems to think that a shift rising above the cleavage line would be acceptable. *rolls eyes* straight across and kind of gathered if that makes sense.
Sentelle: My expression is too cold. *pouts*
Jen: *rolls eyes*
She would not have had the jewel on her forehead, she donned that after finding paladinhood. I think it's beautiful and I love the hair! Though I can't picture this gown green oddly enough. It is beautiful though. 3nodding

So, these days, it's hard to find an artist on Gaia that can draw studly men without making them bulging with muscles upon muscles. But, lo and behold, I found an artist I really love, Eijirou. He's actually a professional artist, so he's a little bit expensive, but I still think affordable...a couple of recent MC letters and a couple of EIs and I could get such a bishy picture of Letalus. *o* And he draws sexy girls, beautiful girls and cute girls, too. Here are my favorites of the samples he has available: http://i108.photobucket.com/albums/n26/mahamari/Gaia Commissions/070708-killian.jpg http://i108.photobucket.com/albums/n26/mahamari/Gaia Commissions/070815-jennilyn.jpg http://i108.photobucket.com/albums/n26/mahamari/Gaia Commissions/070910-nozomu.jpg http://i108.photobucket.com/albums/n26/mahamari/Gaia Commissions/080112-xianthe.jpg http://i108.photobucket.com/albums/n26/mahamari/Gaia Commissions/080209-blaxn.jpg http://i108.photobucket.com/albums/n26/mahamari/Gaia Commissions/080412-wtr.jpg I'm definitely saving up to get something from him. Good thing he's closed at the moment. Check out Bugar's art, too...he has a softer, cuter style but it's still really nice.

http://www.merikitten.net/gaia/shiny/sentelle_inprogress.jpgUpdate: Took a stab at the armor. Is there a tunic between the armor and chainmail, or did you discard that piece during the transfer of detail from here to the actual art request thread? If the tunic is still there, how long are the sleeves and bottom edge? Is the style like Letalus' tunic? If not, what are the differences?
