Lacey watched Elijah with frustration as he asked to stay. She looked down at Christine before looking back at him. "When you put it that way..." She gave out a sigh and lowered her sword. "Bring her inside, but be careful you don't drop her. We don't want her to have a concussion on top of being tainted." Her voice was dark and demanding as she picked up her belongings and started to walk towards the destroyed door. "Now I have to repair this stuff. Thanks a lot. I owe you one." She muttered sarcastically and turned around to look at the other damage
Her fence was destroyed too. She'd have to fix the shield before it got dark again. In the distance the sun was making the sky turn lighter, though not quite peeking over the horizon. The sun always made things feel safer, because it actually did make things safe. The downside was that the sun always set, which would just ruin any safety someone felt.
"Well? Hurry up!" She snapped to Elijah and turned around again to head inside.
