[[Lets try my luck again. So far I've had very bad luck. Maybe it's not such a good idea to try again. xd ]]
Lyra noticed that her leg has stopped bleeding. She decides to try help with the fighting again. Not that I did much good the last few times. Lyra gets up, picks up her bow, and chooses an arrow. A siren again. I did horrible with this last time.
Banishing all negative thoughts from her mind, Lyra steadies herself, aims, and shoots. She misses, but manages to dodge the siren's sharp nails.

Lyra picks up another arrow and tries again; aiming and shooting. It hits the siren in the neck, and it silently crumbles to the floor, dead. "Yes. I finally hit something. All my trying didn't come to nothing. I feel a bit more useful now." Lyra sits down, exhausted from fear. She'd been hit a couple of times and it was NOT a fun experience. She noticed the slight exertion had caused the cut in her leg to open up again and it was bleeding. She reached down and tied the makeshift bandage tighter.
(Siren dead)
[[It's late. I'm going to bed. Good way to end the day. biggrin This was my 5th roll in a mignight to midnight period.

Ume claps her hands as the Siren falls from Lyra's arrow. "See...it was worth all the trying." She winks.

Seeing that Lyra's wound had opened again, Jess decides to go and help her. "It looks like you might need another bandage." Jess then rips off another piece of her robe and ties it around Lyra's leg. "I hope it doesnt get infected. How are you feeling?"

Time zone? Yipes...I think I'm in central...
Drat it, I forgot about time zones. So easy to assume everyone has the same time.
Let's just say that at the time you took those two attacks, it was a new day for me, so those are your first two of the day, yes?
bucbucLA: I love that a house-elf is joining in, and with such enthusiasm, but I did sort of say not to combine your weapon-choosing post with a roleplay. And the Siren was killed about nine hours, three posts before yours.
But, I'm bringing out a new monster. Go ahead and slash that one to pieces.

As Jess finishes taking care of Lyra's leg, she looks up and sees a chimera coming towards them. Jess then stands up, pulls out her dagger, and prepares to attack.
Jess starts to charge at the creature. Just when she is about to stab the chimera, it takes one of its lobster claws and takes a snap at Jess. She narrowly avoids it and is unable to get a hit.

"Time for me to try," Kitty muttered and drew her sword.
The chimera ducked under Kitty's slash, and tried to impale the Gryffindor on its horns. Kitty twisted awkwardly and managed to avoid being run through, but one of the horns slashed her side.
