"Come to think of it, no. I never have." Mikora shrugged. ":I've never really figured there was much in my future besides the Laughing Boulder. I'm quite happy there," she says. Though, I s;pose it might be nice to know if there might be some nice gentlemen in my future. And a family... She starts to look thoughtful, starting to lose track of the world around her.

With the stage costume safely stored away once more, Alerin wanders out in the direction of Keemer's stand. That lone tart he'd stolen from the rich girl hadn't been enough, especially after burning it off doing the show. This time he manages to get some from a relatively fresh batch, buying three from Keemer before wandering off to hit the vitner's stand. Splurging on a good flask of wine, he takes the items and finds a shady spot in the section where tables had been set up for people to eat. Sitting down, his tail flicks happily as he bites into the first of the small pastries.

She leads the way to the fortune tellers wagon. Surprisingly, there isn't much of a line. So they don't have long to wait. "Um...do we just go knock?" she wonders aloud, looking at Nim for a guess.

With the pastries gone, Alerin enjoys the wine he'd bought, savoring the fine flavor it had. Wine wasn't something to skimp the cost on if it could be avoided. Eventually he gets drawn into a conversation about traveling, which soon evolves into him telling tales of the different lands he'd traveled to, which further evolves into a sort of contest to see who has traveled the furthest or sen the most lands.

(Hm...it's getting a little late. Mebbe we should quit for the night?)
The door opens and a wizened old woman stands there, smiling at them. "Come in, come in. I've been expecting you ladies," she says, beckoning them to enter.
Mikora glances at Nim, wonderingly.

(Well, then go to sleep, silly razz Gives me time to work out fortunes.)
Mikora follows Nim into the wagon. Her ears twitched nervously, as did her tail.
"Now then, which of you will be first?" she asks, gesturing to two seats before a table with a crystal ball on it.
(Duh...I completely forgot Mikora had ears. 'S one of the reasons I wanted to play a Neko sweatdrop )

(Haha! Posting this now 'cause it'll move things along, later.)
Mikora swallowed uncomfortably. "I guess, I'll go first." She took a seat at the table.
The old woman nodded and went to work, her hands moving around the ball, gathering the flows of energies and directing them. The practice was a sort of on and off switch. Though, if anyone that knew her asked, she always passed it off as just part of the show. After a few seconds, the ball started to glow. There was a sharp inhale and her eyes widened, as though she had been taken by surprise. "There is a great journey ahead of you," she told Mikora. "You will embark on a long voyage to the land from where you came."
Mikora blinked. "But I'm from here..." she said, uncertainly. "And I have no desire to leave," she said, more firmly.
"You are not," the old woman replied. "You were raised here, but here is not where you were born. Nor is it what you were born for." There was silence for a moment as Mikora let it all sink in and the old woman seemed to be scouring for more. "And you will not be given a choice. 'They' have found you. And there are none residing here who can protect you. To stay would mean death." The woman had a serious and grave expression.
Mikora's face paled. "Who...who's found me? And why on earth would anyone want me dead? I'm nobody." She blinked, her face becoming indignant. "Oh your just an old phoney, aren't you?" she demanded.
The woman gave her a grave look. "At times, I must resort to self-fulfilling prophecies. Not everyone has a great destiny awaiting them. Or great peril. The ball only works it's magic to guide or to warn those that do,' the woman answered with complete honesty. "I assure you, my dear. You are veeeery different."
Mikora sat silently for a moment. "Well, I...don't believe you,' she huffed with more conviction than she felt. With that, she tossed a few coins on the table. "I will meet you outside," she said to Nim and stormed out of the wagon, or at least as close to it as someone of her nature could get. She resembled a pouty child who had just been told that cookies would soil her dinner. Once outside, she leaned against the side of the wagon and stared at her feet, lost in thought.

Alerin was enjoying himself. The impromptu contest had earned him some free food as people, wanting to hear more stories from afar, were buying for the contestants. It eventually fell down to stories between him and an older gentleman, but Alerin finally has to admit defeat to the older man, a semi-retired adventurer who had years of experience on him. The gentleman was currently relating a humorous tale of a time when he had visited the Stonelands and got run out of a dwarven community for accidentally saying the wrong thing thanks to a bad translation. The man was rewarded with laughter and a couple more free drinks.
It was nice to be among people having a good time, though Alerin does idly wonder when it would end. He wasn't going to travel with the circus forever, he'd have to move on at some point. His thoughts stray back to to two girls that he'd encountered at Keemer's stand. Something about them was bugging him, something from the underground rumor mill. It doesn't return to him until someone mentions the bounty Lord Morin had in place for the return of the Celestia royal heirs. That's right, there's that rumor that one of the royals is in hiding somewhere around here... he recalls, absently looking around to see if he could spot the pair of girls.

listens quietly through Mikora's telling and frowns when Mikora walks out looking upset. She debated on just following her but decides against it wanting to let her have some time to think about what she heard and to compose herself and takes a seat smiling tentavily at the old woman "well i guess that makes me next then"

"Very good, then," the old woman says, turning to back to her crystal ball and Nim. After a few moments, she begins to speak. "You, too, have a journey ahead of you. But you are no stranger to travel. But yours will likewise become more perilous. Your fates are intertwined and you will remain in her company for some time," she tells Nim.

Alerin was at the wrong angle to see Mikora storm out of Mora's wagon, so his idle scan of the surroundings reveals no sign of the strangers. Rather interesting, considering that most of the guests here at the circus were gnomes, though there were certainly quite a few members of other races around. Since the tale-telling contest was over, Alerin grows a little bored and pulls out one of his travel-sized spellbooks to refresh and prepare his repertoire of spells for tonight's performance, as well as potential trouble. Being prepared is what had saved his hide on several occasions.
The older adventurer takes note of Alerin's activity and comes over and sits next to him. They get into a conversation about adventuring and life on the road, where Alerin finds out the gentleman's name is Ollar, and he was more a man-at-arms. Ollar new the value of having a spellcaster around though, and the sorts of spells that came in handy, and the older man started questioning and giving Alerin pointers for spells he should consider acquiring if he didn't have them already.
