Logan poured a bit of extra oil into the frying pan, tossing it around to mix it with the noodles and vegetables because his plastic prongs had disappeared after the shoving-Jasper-into-the-stove incident and he was too tired to search for them now. He fumbled for the teriyaki, almost spilling it over from his shaking hands. What was bothering him? Was he angry? Upset? Nervous? The ramen sizzled in protest to being cooked at such a high temperature. Just before it reached its burning point Logan moved it off to the side, leaving it alone while he grabbed a few plates. He walked over to the table and sat one in front of Alice and stopped at Rosen’s side. “Would you like some, Rose?” She smiled and shook her. “No thank you, Logan. The blood was quite enough for me. Though it smells lovely.” Logan hesitated and then smiled, slipping the plate for her back onto the stack. “Alright. And I’m glad to hear you talking. Maybe having Alice here will be good for someone after all.” Logan left the stack of plates on the table, just incase any of the vampires decided that real food was palpable today, though he doubted it. Without making eye-contact with Alice he pivoted back around and grabbed the still-sizzling pan of ramen. “Its very hot, don’t eat so quickly,” Logan said as he scooped a large helping onto Alice’s plate, knowing damn well that despite her small frame she was a bottomless pit, and also that she had a tendency to eat faster then even the hungriest wolf, albeit with burnt taste buds afterwards. Logan gave himself even more ramen, more then any normal human could eat in one sitting and maybe two. He reached out and tossed the pan back on the stove without spilling a noodle, sliding into his seat fluidly in the process. Logan pushed a fork over to Alice. He ate his ramen with a spoon that had a split down the middle so that it looked like an awkward, fat prong. “Low on cash,” he mumbled through a huge bite of greasy noodles and mushrooms. “And utensils. And clothes…and soap, actually. Enjoy.”

“Alright. And I’m glad to hear you talking. Maybe having Alice here will be good for someone after all.” Alice wanted to throw her plate at him. What did he mean by that!? Yet, she stayed silent as she ate her ramen, at her usual pace too. (Yet some how he managed to finish before her.) Alice pushed her plate away from her and stood. "Logan can I talk to you real quick." She said trying to keep her voice friendly. "Go ahead. Talk." "Alone." "Oh. Ok.." Logan lead the way upstairs, and Alice followed behind. They reached the second floor and entered one of the bedrooms, Alice assumed to be his. "Okay what is your problem?! Why are you acting like such a jerk? And P.S if anyone should be mad it's me. Your the one who ran out not me." Alice yelled the second he closed the door, she could see him about to defend himself. "And don't give me that 'it was to protect you' thing, ok. You could at least said good bye!" Alice paused, her little hands clenched up into fists. Oh no....not the tears. But she could feel them well up in her eyes.

Logan’s hand was still on the door handle when the screaming started. He winced and walked over to the flimsy nightstand, leaning coolly against it. Damn, he thought. She has grown some serious vocal chords since I last saw her. And other things… Logan shook his head. Then he looked up at Alice through his veil of crimson hair, expecting to see her angry face and a threatening fist shaking in the air that was locking -on to his head. Dear Lord…not tears… Logan stood quickly and took a step towards her then stopped, unsure of what to do. “I’m sorry!” he yelled. “I just thought it would be easier for you to forget about me if I just left!” He ran a hand through his hair and looked around, wishing very much for a distraction, or to be as far from here as possible. “I’m an assassin, Alice. My job is to kill people. You didn’t need to be attached to that kind of person anyway.” She was still crying. Logan frowned. Alright, maybe I’m not the best at pep-talks. But damn can I make chicks cry! Oh yeah Logan, great skills there. People will fear you now. Logan took another tentative step forward, reaching a hand out to touch her shoulder. “It was best, Alice. Just believe me when I say that.”

Alice wiped a tear away on her sleeve, and made a small sniffle. Then...she hugged him. Despite her being mad, she had missed him so much since he left. She couldn't help it. "Logan...please don't leave again..I have no one left." She mumbled against his bare chest. His skin was hot to the touch, almost as if he had a fever. Dang..his abs are toned! Alice's eyes widened in surprise at her own thoughts. Oh my god what am I thinking!? It's Logan!... Her cheeks reddened, despite her efforts to clear her mind. She felt Logan's arms wrap around her and his voice at her ear. "I won't." Her blush worsened but she couldn't help but be relieved at his words.

Could he really promise to never leave her again? “I wont.” Did he mean it? Logan put his chin on top of Alice’s head. “I promise.” But could he keep that promise? He closed his eyes. He wanted to. Logan held her tighter. “I missed you.” He smiled. “I actually saw you once, two years ago. I know I wasn’t supposed to be looking for you yet, but I couldn’t help it. I went to the bookstore where we found you. Somehow I knew you would be there.” He chuckled, shaking Alice a bit with the movement of his chest and startling her. “But you were with some guy, which I didn’t see coming. He looked like a douche and he kept touching you.” His smile turned evil. “So I paid him a visit that night and told him that if he wanted to keep his manhood he would break it off with you. Yeah…sorry about that.” He grimaced mockingly and then sighed. “After that I moved further away. A few days later I started this group. Jasper was the first member. After a while more people showed up, including Jess. She has this weird ability to see stuff in her dreams. When she told me she saw you at the bookstore I just knew it was true. That’s why I was there.” Logan laughed and moved back, holding Alice out at arm’s length. “Did you have to punch me so hard? My chin still kind of hurts.”

Alice felt a twinge of anger that he had invaded her privet life, but the anger melted away at the thought of his interest. "Yeah he was a little to forward for my taste anyways..." Alice said, she felt him pull her away and had to hold back a pout. "Did you have to punch me so hard? My chin still kind of hurts." He said. "Oh sorry about that. I thought you where someone else. You know Luke's policy, punch now, ask questions later." She said with a grin. Alice reached up and took his chin in her hand, standing on her tip toes to get closer. Logan's body stiffened as she inspected his chin. "No bruise, you should be ok." Alice said as she pulled back, she noticed Logan had a weird look on his face. "What's wrong?" She asked, curious to his choice of expression.

Logan stared at Alice, his whole body tense like he was a frightened animal about to flee. Then he leaned down and grabbed Alice’s face, pulling it upward to unite their lips. Logan could have sworn he told his body to get out of there. It disobeyed. He pulled away and turned around, heading for the door, only to stop and pivot and walk back over to Alice again. “I am old!” He shouted. “Did you know that? No! When we met you thought I was 18! I was what, 25 or something? I am 35 Alice! 35! And you are barely drink-legal.” Logan repeated the same move as a few seconds ago, this time throwing his hands into the air as he walked back over to Alice. “I could be your father! Well…no...maybe an uncle or something…That doesn’t matter! I’m still like, a ***** or molester or something!” Once again Logan turned and walked back over to the door. He almost made it out this time before he spun around and marched over to Alice, grabbed her face, and kissed her again. “I don’t care if you don’t,” he mumbled, closing his eyes and putting an arm around her, letting the other hand run through her hair and across her neck.

"I don't care. And trust me your not a *****, I would have to be under eighteen for that." She said with a wink as she resumed the kiss. "Plus, I have always had a thing for older guys." Alice rested her head against his broad chest. She felt even smaller in his arms, but it was a good thing. "Well I guess we better get downstairs." Alice said as she parted from his grasp. She moved towards the door when her foot caught on a pair of pants on the floor. Alice hopped around trying to free her foot. "Here let me help you..." Logan offered as Alice leaned against his shoulder for balance. Logan bent down to free her foot but her hoping had thrown off his balance, sending both of them crashing down. They hit the edge of the bed and bounced off landing on the floor, Alice's knee catching Logan on the inner thigh, as she landed on top of him. "WHOA! too close!" "Sorry.." She muttered as she attempted to stand. "Okay..you definitely need to do some cleaning in here." Alice commented as she used the sheet hanging off the side of the bed to pull herself up, unable to use her knees. Logan squirmed beneath her, trying to get up. "Quit moving around your going to make me-" "F***! Ow!" "Slip." Alice finished. His squirming had lead to her knee making contact with his crotch. Alice finally stood, leaving Logan on the floor. "You alright?" "Peachy." Logan replied, his voice hoarse with pain. "I'm sorry but you kept squirming!"

Logan squirmed a little more. “If my voice has gone up a few octaves, that would be your fault. AND WIPE THAT SMILE OF YOUR FACE WOMAN!” Logan clawed at her like a zombie and managed to catch hold of her arm, hoisting himself to his feet. He took a step for the door and yelped, squinting his eyes and holding up a finger. “One moment. Not completely healed.” Logan took a deep breath. “Alrighty, lets go. Erg.” He opened the door for and made a wide gesture with his hands. “Ladies first…oh wait, after that, I am a lady!” Logan grumbled as Alice started to laugh and together they descended the stairs. “Who’s a lady?” Jasper called from the kitchen. Alice pointed to Logan and mocked crying, making Jasper burst into laughter. “I like her! Can we keep her Logan, please?” Logan grumbled something and shot a venomous look at Alice. She smiled and stuck her tongue out at him. “You children playing nice now?” Jasper asked with a grin, giving Alice an approving smile. “Not at all,” Logan said as he slid back into his chair at the wobbly table. "So who's a ***** smacked Jasper. It was quiet time for him.

Jess had dismissed the question earlier, there was too much going on. As Alice wanted to talk to Logan upstairs she sat down and had the blood, that..well she required. Though, she unlike the others rubbed the bag to make it warmer--cold blood was terrible. After much screaming, Alice and Logan came down the stairs. "Who's a lady?" Jasper called as he saw them first decend the stairs. "So who's a ra***?" Jess smacked the back of his head. By then Logan and Alice had made it down the stairs and were back in the kitchen. "Jasper, we need to talk too. By the way..Logan. You're bedroom walls are...very thin. You should have done what I did...insulation is the key." She said with a smile. She got up from the table and Jasper followed her up the stairs to her bedroom.
"What's the matter?" Jasper asked her, confused. She smiled. "Why do men always think there's something wrong when you want to talk to them?" She sat on her bed, "Nothing's the matter, Jasper. You asked me a question..and I intend on answering it...You asked how I knew Andrew and if there was ever a relationship." Jasper cringed at the words 'Andrew' and 'relationship' in the same sentence. "Yeah....was there?" Jess looked up to Jasper, "In all honesty, there was never a real relationship. I thought of him as a friend, he on the other hand thought of me as more. He actually came to the point of asking me out every time I came to the bank..then he started to show up to my appartment and asked me to marry him. I told him no and I moved and stopped going to the bank. I had always told myself that I would never go back to the bank unless I was with a guy that I..." she cut off quickly. Jasper looked at her oddly, "A guy that..what?" Jess smiled, shook her head and blushed slightly. "...a guy that what?" Jasper asked again. Jess smiled again and looked back up to him, "A guy that I liked, Jasper. Yeah.. I understand if you don't feel like that too..but..I do."

Sky smiled as the map finished downloading unto his cellphone and quickly saved it. One of the good things of having these high end techno-gizmos was being able to access anywhere on the grid with a snap. He glanced at his watch and shook his head...these kids were becoming more and more like Alec- totally unconscious of time. Just before he could begin grousing however, the elevator door dinged and opened to reveal members of his crew. Ronin, ebony and the squirt...well it would have to do. They were going fishing after all.
"Well glad you could drop by. We got a nest to flush and it looks like a routine mission. I'm a little worried about the new patterns they are bringing to the table but I trust you've all come prepared." He slid off the Hummer and tossed the keys to Neasa. "Standard operation; ambush, immobilize and terminate...don't get stupid, don't get killed."
He'd said the same words over and over again...so much so that it ought to be their theme song.
"Let's get going."
He slid into the front passenger seat and began texting to the mooch. Time to earn your keep kiddo.

Syvra lowered her torn wrist and resumed looking around for a bandage. "At least I've been satisfied by something warm," she whispered as she took a packet. It was disgusting, partially congealed stuff, but she drank it anyway. It tasted good. Human. Natural. As natural as a vampire. No such thing. she thought pessimistically. She only half finished the bag, seeing as she had already fed off of herself. She twisted the bag to try and keep the blood relatively fresh and put it back in the fridge. She tried the ramen, but it didn't have quite the same satisfaction that it did when she was human. She deigned from eating much and went and sat down by the stairs, looking at her nails to make sure they were sharp enough for protection. Syvra was all about speed. She didn't need bulky weapons. Weighed you down, especially when you were trying to run from a fight you knew you couldn't win. Syvra heard the yelling, dismissed it even, but then she heard something that froze her blood. I am old!” He shouted. “Did you know that? No! When we met you thought I was 18! I was what, 25 or something? I am 35 Alice! 35! And you are barely drink-legal. I could be your father! Well…no...maybe an uncle or something…That doesn’t matter! I’m still like, a ***** or molester or something!” Syvra didn't know what to do. She was caught absolutely off guard. She stood up, her eyes wide. She knew that the sun hadn't quite set yet. Hell, it would probably burn her as soon as she stepped outside. But she knew she had to get out, had to breathe, had to jump from rooftop to rooftop and get out of there. Get away from Logan and Alice. She rushed past the table, knocking it to the floor and sending everything flying. She didn't bother to apologize, just kept going for the door and growled out, "I'm going on my patrol." She hoped nobody would notice the fact that she was the nocturnal patroler going out with the sun still up, she hoped nobody noticed that her voice broke near the end of her sentence, and she definitely hoped that everybody assumed that the reason why tears were rolling down her face was because she was going so fast out the door. She hissed as the sun hit her skin, and then she was gone, down a manhole into the sewers, heading to her favorite nocturnal spot that she would go to as soon as the sun set.

Jasper stiffened. “You um…well then. Alright.” He nodded his head quickly. “Cool.” Jasper looked around nervously. He saw the door and backed away slowly to it, fumbling for the knob. “We should probably get back now. I don’t think Logan-” Jasper was cut off by a huge crash outside. Saved, he thought. He looked at Jess for a moment before dashing out and running down the stairs, stopping at their base when he saw the upturned table. “Logan, what happened?”
Logan was standing in the midst of the debris. He looked alarmed; his eyes were wide and he was staring out the closing door at a disappearing figure. “Syvra freaked out,” he said slowly. “I think…I think she was crying.” Logan bent down, and with the help of Rosen managed to clean up all of the spilt food and fallen plates. “Maybe you should talk to her when she gets back,” Rosen suggested as she slipped the last of the dirty dishes into the sink and began to scrub away at them. Logan nodded, sill looking a little stunned, and sat back down at the table.

Alec folded his hands atop the ancient wooden desk. Before him was a folder. It looked plain, simple. No different than any of his business papers which had long since been pushed aside. He reached down and slid it open with a single finger. There were very few papers in this particular folder. The other one that normally accompanied this one in a drawer held the most information. There were countless documents there. But here, in this tiny folder beneath Alec’s palm, were only three pages consisting mostly of a list of names and their weaknesses. There were a few names in particular that had caught his attention tonight.
Jasper Hallows: First to join Logan. Logan’s close friend. Attached to dead sister Maria, looking for her killers. No living relatives. Reckless. Shayla West: DEAD Rayna Vordales: DEAD Jessica Hawthorn: Dead fiancé. No known living relatives. Syvra Siann: No attachments to family. The list went on, but Alec knew it by heart and had no need to keep reading. He also ignored the two dead prospects. Obviously they were no use for him now. So that left Jasper, Jessica, and Syvra. Alec smiled. The choice was easy. Alec smiled and sipped at his wine. “Jasper.”
