A book without any light moments is UNBEARABLE. Hell, there are even jokes in House of Leaves.
Thank you so much, everyone! Hypatia... well, I was hoping to have her today, but there has been a slight shipping delay. Should have her early next week instead. The good news is, my portable photography studio is on the way here! Should have it tomorrow. Also, I seem to have somehow gotten a copy of the original Geneon press of Black Lagoon V2. Hehehehe.
I didn't get any writing done because I was too wound up. Tonight, I am too drunk. Maybe in an hour or two or maybe I'll just nap. I've having a REALLY weird, angsty issue with my one outline. I'm so confused! No idea what to do *ded*. But, it's kind of a funny issue on a certain level. I might post about it here.
I also had an idea for an old outline while brushing my teeth this morning. LOL and such.
I'm a little afraid of what I told my father about the Doorstop after that first Appletini. I just know that now he's insisting I need a pink Ruger for some reason...

Thank you, luv!
Alas, I think the slacking off shall continue here. I'm having an amazingly bad day. That group order I chaired has gone to hell and NOT because of anything any of the participants did.

Hey yeah! Story shop~.
I think I'm done with the slacking. It's fine to slack a little bit sometimes, especially if it's hot. It's better to work! But slack has no value, good or bad. It's the filler of life. If we didn't have it, the plot would eat us.
My order may still be a screaming wreck, but... well, honestly, there's no but here. It's a screaming wreck. I'm just glad I got over it and did indeed end up writing SOMETHING over the weekend. And I rode to work with my notebook because I felt the need to scrawl some Surprise!notes down. The current scene is a bit fillerish. I'm just doing it 'cause I have to. Not very inspired.
Next stop though, major plot point town!
Edit: Oh, today has taken a turn for the wrong. My LJ has erupted in dramaz. Arrested brothers, moving issues, dead kitties and me, I just found out my ex is not actually "seriously ill". She dumped me and blew all of her money on Lolita clothing. AHAHAHA. Kill me.

Well, things have been going much better. I posted about my Ex in my LJ... and people who hardly ever post were coming out of the woodwork offering to kidnap her dog and send her fundie spam. It was EPIC. Plus, Hypatia came home! Changed the picture because it would be nice if you could see why it's so funny I had her done up in PINK XD. I wanted to take pictures of her tonight again, but I sat my a** down and did some writing instead! Which went very well. I'm starting to realize that most of my friends are much younger or much older than I am. Half of them are in highschool and laugh when I threaten to get my walker. The other half have kids graduating from highschool this year (or would, if they had gone the kid route) and call me "Little Missy Under Thirty Pants" or other equally absurd things along those lines. I'm not sure why I seem to have landed in the middle of the two groups. It never matters how old I am, I just can't talk to people my own age. I've never really LIKED writing about people my own age either!

Nothing wrong with not writing about your own age group smile And whatever happened with your ex, here's hoping it rapidly improves.

Well, everything was going great today until I checked my email and finally found a response about my group order. Then it was bad for five minutes until I posted the damn thing in my LJ mockage ensued. Because, you know, it's so totally my fault that I ordered thing B and got thing ********. I've actually been very productive! I almost have another chapter done. The chapter after this one is going to require me to have a few reference books open while typing and will probably be slow-going, but I still expect it to be a scream.
My boss is a writer also. He actually asked me how I was doing the other day! Turns out, much better than him, but he didn't seem mad and so we had happy coffee time.
I need to do a photoshoot over the weekend for a friend of mine whose cat, alas, is no more. I have no idea what sort of pictures to treat her to and she's too upset to ask. I also have a most intimidating pile of sewing to take care of.
Plus, you know, the Doorstop remains NOT DONE, my best efforts aside XD.
Thank all of you very much for your encouragement! *bows*

He's really fun! I enjoy working where I do, general oddness aside.
I fell asleep last night at around eight o'clock, woke up at half-past eleven and went back to bed at one AM. I didn't even realize I was that tired! But oh, I must not nod of with Law and Order on the TV ever again. Seriously. What horribly messed up dreams.
Basically, I was reading a book I've read before and everything was different. Then, I was trying to bake and the recipe kept changing.
I woke up this morning convinced that after breakfast I would have to make custard for a crepe gateau because that would pretty much be our only option if we wanted cake for Sunday dinner with the neighbors.
I had to file a claim against Dollmore and I'm off to enter in some notes.
