Elc sat relaxed with his hands resting on the table, his eyes still on on Koreck. "Maybe." he paused, thinking of a question. He wanted to hear the things specifically about Lady Faye from her. But perhaps he could get answers to some less... personal questions. "Why her? Why a human at all? Why not choose someone who is already a fairy?"

Koreck looked down in thought, "Had she been a fairy, she would have had to have been of a specific race. And as such, it's likely she would have been biased in her descision. Humans have no idea what's going on in this world, or that there is even conflict; and as such would have an open view. As for why her..." he glanced at Faye, his voice holding a strange tone, "I'm...not sure..."

He really hoped the Oracle wasn't good at telling when people were lieing. But he didn't feel like explaining the real reason. Far too complicated, and it could cause many and issue in this event. Not that he cared, he just didn't like the idea of enduring Veera's wrath.

"I assume you must want to talk to her, yourself. Many people do," he mused aloud, "I don't think Lady Veera would mind."

He nodded in the girl's direction, prompting him to go ahead, since the princes seemed to be involved in their own converstations.

Cain shook his head. "No, my father's very strict in that acount. If I fail him in any way at all, then the punishments are normally very severe. After all, weakness and failure a good ruler does not make. Besides, he much more aproves of my tomboyish sister, Lasarina, anyway." He explained, eyes drifting off as he remembered several past arguments.

Living two lifetimes with humans, who seemed to make livings out of lying, Elc had a pretty good idea if someone was skirting the truth. But while he wanted to know these things, if Koreck didn't want to tell him, then there was probably a reason for it.
Elc nodded. "That makes sense." He looked at Lady Faye curiously and mumbled, "So what kind of fairy does that make her?"
Without taking his eyes off the Lady, he said, "Thank you, Koreck." His eyes shifted back to him. "I've got some more questions for you later, though," he said quietly. "Don't take it personally, but it is my job."
He turned slightly toward the Fairy of Gold and raised his voice. "Lady Faye, good evening," he said with a small smile. "I am the Oracle, but you may call me Elc. If you have any question, I'd be glad to help."

"Well she's a gift of the sun goddess, so a Sun Fairy seems like a reasonalble answer. Though there are probably better, more creative terms that could be used," Koreck shrugged, "No offence taken."

He pressed his chair back from the table a bit to watch the others better, his chair making only a slight squeaking sound that could barely be heard above the room's chatter. After a few moments, his eyes drifted out a nearby window and to the moon. He had always found it strange that both the human and fairy worlds shared the same celestial bodies. At least, he thought they did. Regardless, it did make him feel a little home sick

Violet watched as the fire princess looked rather interested (and had the ability to multitask at a nice speed) for a moment before answering. “I really hope so; I’ve gotten most of the Earth Realm finished, spare a few creatures and plants that are rare to find, but the other places I would like to try and work on if possible. That way it’d be a balanced book, not a bias one.” she agreed.

Evan felt pity for the guy; it wasn’t right for the royals to choose favorites, but it seemed to be the case here, and Cain got the short end of the stick. This ruler was one the Earth Realm usually never got along with; he was rather arrogant when he’s probably made at least ONE mistake in his entire life. Yet he doesn’t act like it. It’s rather irritating, so he could feel for the guy.

“That’s rough, I’ll admit. I still think it’s stupid that we all gotta compete; our relationships between realms were never good to begin with, and the competitive atmosphere makes it all worse.” he sighed.

Lasarina smiled and ran a finger down the description of a plant she found particularly pretty. "Unfourtantly there aren't many plants and animals in the Fire Realm, so I'd love to see all the plants and animals of other places." She said happily.

It was morning in the water realm. Wafiya quickly dressed and got ready to leave. She grabbed her suitcases off the couch and went outside onto her patio.

Five minutes later the carriage rolled around the corner. The driver got out to help her with her bags. Wafiya climbed in. She was so ready to go! They departured and in two days Wafiya would arrive at the Moon Temple.

Faye let a light blush spread across her face when Evan pulled her chair out for her. It wasn't very often that she met a man that was so polite and chivalrous. She gave a nod and smile to Evan as he sat down then went right into listening to the conversations going on around her.

The conversation between Evan and Cain, although probably very informative, didn't pose any interest to Faye in the least. She had never been good with what she considered "idle chit-chat." She turned her attention to the other conversation going on near her happening between who she assumed was Elc and if she remembered correctly, Koreck. Again a very informative conversation and this time falling a little deeper on the conversation scale, but it held no interest to her. She let out a small sigh giving up the eavesdropping in favor of chewing on her fork in a bored manner.

She had just started to space out when Elc addressed her, his voice snapping her out of day dream. When told he would help with her questions, the first thing that came to mind was the first thing out of her mouth.

"What's an Oracle?"

Elc couldn't help it; he let out a bark of laughter in surprise. "That's a very good place to start," he said, still chuckling. "An Oracle, at least for us fairies, is like a big, walking encyclopedia of human knowledge." He leaned back slightly, a grin still on his face. "It's my job to know everything I can about humans, and I try to do the same for the rest of the fairy world, too. Perks include free trips to the human world, a fancy stick, and the mystique that comes from being called 'Oracle' all the time."
He leaned forward conspiratorially and said, "People think I'm up-tight and all knowing. Don't let them know I have a sense of humor too." He leaned back again and winked, still holding back giggles. It had been a long time since he had spoke so candidly with a human. Er, scratch that: ex-human.

(( lol That really did make me lol ))

His laughter surprised her enough to make her drop her fork, luckily it landed in her lap and didn't make any loud nosies. She wasn't quite sure what was so funny about her question, it seemed personally reasonable to her. Instead of making a deal of it, she sat quietly and listened to his explanation on his "job." She became saddened with the mention of the human world and how he could go back and forth between the worlds.

"Je vois." she sighed sadness creeping noticeably into her voice. She turned back to her plate and started messing with her fork again.

((Yay! We have 100 posts now! And since I am beginning to doubt that anyone else is going to join (unless any of you know some people that might, and are willing to ask them), we might as well make the other characters either NPCs, or you can apply (a.k.a. create a profile for) to play them yourselves. If no one wants to, then we'll leave them as NPCs for you to use as necessary, and let's just say that the other royal families are on their way to the Moon Temple))

Elc sobered up pretty quick when he saw the saddened look on the Lady's face. Way to go, Mr. Oracle. Make the little girl sad, he thought.
"My apologizes, m'lady," he said. "Whenever I speak with anyone around here, there's always a sense of beating around the bush. Everyone knows who I am and what I do, and usually just want something." He smiled. "It's refreshing to meet someone so..." he was going to say 'blunt,' but changed it to, "candid. You just surprised me."

(( EDIT: Yay! ))

Faye gave a small smile towards Elc, feeling slightly bad for for making him apologize for her emotions.
"Well...thank you, Elc." She said lightly, not sure how to take his comments. She understood what it was like to be used by those around her; when she was younger the students would usually only talk to her when they wanted her to win a game for them.

"I guess I don't have many questions. Veera's answered most of them for me. I would say you could ask me things, but you already know everything about humans and what not." She babbled unsure how to keep the conversation going.

Elc raised a finger. "Ah, I didn't say I knew everything. Not even close. I don't think anyone could know everything, do you?" He smiled. "Specifically, I don't know about you."
He settled back in his chair. "So, where ya' from?"
