Location: Beach Bar Buffet

Tony stood stupified for several minutes, staring at Mouse with a look of confusion. When she saw Ani was turning away she reluctantly bounded off after her, grabbing on to her arm and bothering like a small child despite being older than her friend. "Wait wait wait. So how do you know about these...Raevans...Ani?" She questioned. "Did you just find out about them today or did you already know? And can't we go see them?"

The girl was obviously in awe, especially as the whole time she never once looked at her friend. The entire time, her gaze was focused on the various Raevans that were nearby, as they seemed to be multiplying. There were so many different kinds, and they all looked so completely different from one another. ANd oh, how she longed to find out more.

She let go of her friend's arm and proceeded to follow them, but also reluctantly, and she kept glancing back at the creatures behind them. Her attention was grabbed, that was for sure.

When the other raevan named Tariel jumped (or rather floated higher) into the air, Zave nearly leapt back out of shock. He hadn't met her after she had emerged from the tank. He had met her owner. The one that had studied him so hardly. Zave was still a little self conscious around heavy stares. "All Laz's fault with that" Zave murmured half to himself.

"You're Tariel." Zave said aloud again. Trying to put the name and face together in his mind. "I'm Zavier... but please, call me Zave."

Looking out at the water again, he asked her, "Have you tried touching the water yet?

Tsu graciously took the two drinks and paid for the three he ordered, giving a wink to Mouse. "Ahhhh Mouse. I do recall seeing your name on some of the files. You'll have to pardon me as I haven't gotten out of the clinic much lately." Placing the two drinks in hand, he turned to Melisande "Here you are. One for you and one for Sevvie as well." He tried to fight off the feeling of being some gross ***** as he did it.

"I'm afraid I'm not as familiar with the process of creating raevans," Tsu turned to the young gentleman and his hamster, "I work as the medical staff for the labs y'see.... erm... I'm sorry... what's your name...?"

Kumoru arrived at the beach bar first, dressed in beige board shorts decorated with patches of blue plaid and white trim. He wore a white sleeveless muscle-shirt, too, that clung to his fence-picket form and bony shoulders in a way that made him look a fair amount smaller than he did with his robes on. His long black hair was pulled back in a lower ponytail than he usually wore, and already looked a bit wind-tossed already. A long and narrow pack hung over one shoulder, and its contents clanked softly as he set it down.

Lucretia followed her father under the roof, surveying the party layout from behind a pair of dark-tinted glasses. So far, the heat did not particularly bother the Raevan, but the bright light reflected from the sand bothered her wide dark eyes. She carried a small cooler in both hands, her name elegantly written in permanent marker on a piece of masking tape across the lid.

As her father took a seat on one of the stools at the bar, Lucretia slid the cooler under the bar next to him, and reached inside quickly to pick out a piece of dry ice. Then she popped it into her mouth and sighed a happy cloud of condensation.

Opening the pack, Kumoru started to take out what was stored inside, which were the pieces of a rather nice stunt kite. His past visits to the beach with the magic school he had attended were always filled with kite-flying, as he and the other students were primarily instructed in wind magic. The necromancer realized that he had not flown his kite since his unofficial expulsion from the school, though, and decided that today seemed like a good day to break it out again.

While her father assembled the kite - she could not wait to see it fly! - Lucretia edged down the bar to the others who were there, and gave them a shy smile. For the moment, since she was in the shade, she removed her sunglasses and held them in both hands, but still squinted a little.

"Zav-ee-arr," Tari sounded out. "Zave. Okie." She gave a sharp nod, cementing the nickname. She gave a brief giggle and tapped the tip of her nose. "Then, I is Tari, okie?"

At Zavier's question, Tari looked back at the ocean and moved a tiny inch closer. "Touch water? Not yet. How oh-shun feel? Like normal water? And how float in water?"

"Swim," Kali corrected from a short distance away. "Float in air, walk on land, swim in water."

"Suh-wim?" Tari blinked and gave Zavier a confused glance. It all sounded so much harder than floating. "Zave swim?"

Isikoro Etul Delaran stepped into the beach bash scene, ahead of his adopted brother who was still parking the car that had taken them there and dropped him off as close to the party as possible to save a bit of a walk. He adjusted his crutches, glancing warily at the sea of sand that now displayed itself before him. He hated sand. It was so hard to walk on, so hard to maneuver himself around...But he wasn't going to let the geography stop him from joining in the fun.

Alright, so months after his little deathly run-in with his brother's ward, Isi still wasn't ready to go into the sun without a shirt on to cover the tell-tale new scars on his shoulders that were still healing over. He bashfully kept it secret and safe underneath the thin cloth of his tree-brown shirt. He wasn't the type to go around announcing his battle wounds. It had taken an extreme amount of persuasion in the first place to get him into swim trunks, which would expose his abnormally thin legs.

One trait about Isi that was a little helpful was his unending determination.

Making his way onto the sand clumsily, Isi started making his way over to the sand, an area where he could sit down and actually do something to entertain himself. He heard rumors of what was happening at the beach blow out and he already knew and understood that he wouldn't be able to participate in a majority of the activities. Oh well.

He'll build the damned biggest sand castle in the meanwhile.

Behind him floated a supremely amused minty green frei in an over large t-shirt. Brightening considerably, he surveyed the sea of sand, not as an obstacle like his guardian did, but rather as a new place of opportunity. Oh, how all those innocent people warbled around the beach front, unaware and unknowing of the trickster in the disguise of a fun-loving frei had joined their midsts. So many pranks to be pulled! So little time...But Eiry would try and stuff in as many as he could. This year, he wasn't restricted to a booth, so he could wander free and cause his mischief! Free! Free at last to wreak playful havoc upon the multitudes! Free to be his innocuous self and reap the benefits of circumstance! Free to-

"Eirdirsceol!" came Isikoro's voice. The lad had turned around and set a stern glance in his direction, "This way, over here. I need you to stand by in case I fall, okay? None of your mischief! This is a fund raiser for the lab and we can't have any of your debauchery here."

Eiry slumped and with the beat of his ethereal wings did he follow after the crippled boy. Alright, so phase one of the plan:

1] Shake his guardian off his ribbon.

Tsu stared in shock at Meli just giving the drink away. "I guess Meli has this whole 'charity' part of the event down pat." Tsu grinned ruefully, before turning and asking Mouse for 2 more Virgin Pina Coladas as a anticipative measure. He placed those down near the sigel after paying for those as well. It was a good thing he took out a lot of money for the event.

"Tari." Zave manages to try out. Somehow the name sounds really familiar. "That sounds like a name Laz mentioned." Zave finally recalled aloud. He wondered if it were the same Tari.

"Yes! Touch water" Zave said excitedly, floating in a way that put his hand close to the water. "It's a little cold... and salty. I don't know about swimming though. I just float above the water usually."

Melisande just shook her head, demurring from Aden's question. A moment later, two fresh drinks caught her eye, and Pasha glanced at Tsu, startled. It was like magic!

Floating just a bit closer, wings fanning a bit as she tried to keep cool, Pasha peeked at both of the virgin coladas. "Thank you." She reached out gently to pat Tsu's arm before turning. Waving for a moment to the group, she picked up the glasses carefully.

"It was nice to meet you, and you, and you! If you'd like, maybe I'll see you near the water?" She was not quite brave enough to invite, but Melisande did her best. With one last modest tug wiggle in her swim top, the Sigel dipped a curtsie in the air and floated off towards the waves. She hadn't spotted Lucretia, which Melisande would certainly have been sad to realize!
