Veroen embraced her, and held her close to him. If he still had working tear ducts, his eyes would have watered at her reaction. When a girl cried in front of him, it tore him apart. it was one of the few weaknesses that he could admit that he had. His face turned into an expression of sadness, and he held her closer to him. He wanted nothing more than to make her feel happy.
"I could never hunt you down, even if you were a Demon. I could never do that to you. Even if you tried to kill me, I would do nothing. I couldn't do that to you Eden, I'll never have it in me to do so. I know you aren't doing it on purpose, and i want you to live on, and if this is the only way, then so be it. As long as you still love me afterwards, then I will accept it." He finished his words, in a smooth voice, trying to comfort her. He laid his hand on the back of her head, softly stroking her there.
"I love you, and always will." He said after a few moments, still embracing her warm fragile body.

She took comfort in his embrace and even more so in his words when he told her the exact same thing she'd told him. "There's no guarantee I won't go insane when I become a lycan, though ... If I do go berserk and try to kill you I don't want you to do nothing ... I don't want to be the cause of your death, I wouldn't be able to live with that, I'd rather you kill me than let me kill you ... And I promise to love you always but I don't know if somehow turning into a lycan will screw with my mind and make me forget my promise ... I'll always love you ... And I promise to try my hardest when the time comes not to just turn into some rabid animal ... I'll try to be Eden still and since I promised now I have to be myself."
Making a promise like that was dangerous, she knew but she would always love him and hopefully being a lycan would not do anything to change that. For now she was just gently whispering it into his ear and just allowing his embrace to comfort her. It meant the world to her that an assassin that lived to kill lycans would not be able to shoot her or do so much as defend himself if she became crazed and attacked him but she'd never ask that of him. If it came down to it and she attacked him she did not want to have to live with Veroen's death on her hands, she couldn't, she wouldn't so that either meant she had to make sure she didn't go berserk at all or that she had to take precautions and make sure he took her down if she accidentally lost it.

Veroen held her close to him, a saddened expression still on his face. He still didn't like the fact that she would be a Lycan. He tried to look on the bright side; At least he wouldn't have to be so gentle with her... He laughed in his mind at the idea. The thing that concerned him the most was whether or not she would be attracted to him instead of a Lycan. He also wondered if Jaden would allow such a thing. It didn't matter. Veroen would kill the Alpha mutt if he ever got in the way of this. Right now, Eden was the most precious thing in his life. She mattered to him the most. He would do anything for her, if she asked.
Suddenly, his phone went off, the vibrations were easily heard from his pocket. He took out the phone and looked at it. His eye widened and he opened it, quickly typing a reply to the message. Where are you? is all he put, before pressing the button that would send the message to his old comrade.
"Alasdair just texted me..." he said to her, still a little surprised that the Void Vampire was back in the city.

Eden visibly tensed as well as she was in his arms so he'd notice for sure. "Oh? Where the hell did he go off to? I'm assuming you mean that p***k with the pony tail that started talking to me and was being all mysterious-like to the point it was almost unbearable so I ditched. Yeah ... that was his name, Alasdair. Heh, I'm surprised he didn't try and yank my hair out of my head or something ... I attacked Rogue back when I was on drugs and actually more or less kicked her a** while my ex-fiance attacked Al. Something tells me he will probably remember that and most likely won't like me very much for it ... Then again he didn't do anything on the street when I saw him last so maybe he put it behind him. I suppose he did beat Tokeru so it was a draw in technical terms."
She leaned over to look what he was texting, her face lighting with curiousity as well as Veroen's cell's light as he texted 'where are you' so quickly that she barely registered it before he sent it. "So what did he say anyhow? Are we going to go have a tea party with him or something?" It was pretty clear she wasn't the most fond of the vampire, then again, she'd never really gotten to know him but he hadn't given her the greatest of vibes and he certainly hadn't given her the warm fuzzies. Though now she wouldn't have minded if he killed Tokeru fact of the matter she was still concerned by that fact.

Veroen looked at her for a moment, taking in her beautiful face with a smile.
He then snapped out of it, and replied to her. "He said he's back in the city. I assume he has something planned..." Veroen said trailing off as he thought about it. Knowing Alasdair, he had some sort of plan thought up in his head that involved others in the city, especially Veroen. Alasdair and he were close friends.

"Ah, I see. So that means you're probably going to have plans today? You and him are good buds right so I'm assuming you'll probably want to catch up him, hey?" She seemed to ease up a bit when he smiled at her though she wasn't sure what to make of Veroen's comment on Alasdair having plans. Hopefully it wasn't anything that involved the hunters because she still had her obligations and while she wouldn't be able to hurt Veroen but Alasdair was fair game. After all, she could use avenging Tokeru's "death" as her excuse and that he was dangerous to hunters if he was able to take out Tokeru anyhow.

Veroen looked at her skeptically, pondering what she was thinking. His thoughts were interrupted by another text message that read, 'Just visiting friends.' Veroen was reluctant to leave his lover, so he typed a reply on the screen that read, 'When do you want to meet up?' Veroen was unsure on what Alsdair planned to do, but didn't want to leave Eden anytime soon.
He closed his phone once the text was sent, and he looked at Eden.
"I don't want to leave you just yet...I want to continue our conversation, actually..." He still wasn't quite satisfied with their conversation being interrupted by Alasdair's text.

Meredith could potentially accompany him to meet Alasdair but she wasn't sure if he wanted to bring her along with him since maybe he was embarrassed to admit that he'd fallen for a human hunter no less. A human hunter that'd kicked Alasdair's girlfriend's a** and had done a pretty damned fine job of it if she didn't say so herself. Of course, she wasn't about to bring that up in conversation with Alasdair, she was certain he'd remember anyhow and she'd already told Veroen what had gone down so there wasn't anything left to say in that regard.
"The conversation about me being a lycan, I'm assuming? That's fine by me. What's troubling you, luv? Or what are you wanting to continue talking about?"
Talking about being a lycan versus talking about Alasdair ... it might not have seemed that way on the outside but it was a damned hard decision to make since she was deathly afraid of being a lycan and she only had unpleasant encounters with Alasdair. She decided, though that since he wasn't wanting to leave just quite yet she figured she would sit and talk. She didn't really want to leave just quite yet either so she was quite fine with talking about this as long as it was to him, anyone else she'd probably just snap at or be surly to.

Veroen looked at her with curiosity in his eyes. He wanted to know one more thing.
"When will you have it happen then?"
this whole scenario made him anxious. He wanted to know when he would be expecting it.

"The last time I talked to Ceon it was down in the subway and he'd collapsed and I decided I couldn't just leave him there in case someone found him and tried to kill him though I probably would have been better off to shoot him right then and there myself ... But yeah, the last time I talked to Ceon he was rank pissed at me for walking out of his house when he'd invited me over for dinner and he just handed me a f**king banana as my meal because he didn't have anything but meat. I mean, I would have been fine if he'd said sorry we can go get you something or is there something you'd like but no ... There's bananas and that's all I have ... F**k. So yeah I said I was willing to forgive him for trying to kill me and you and our kid but he said he wanted nothing to do with me or baby here so I said f**k him and punched him in the face and left. So to be honest, other than my brother, who isn't here anymore, I don't know any lycans that could help me out and there's no way in hell I'm asking Ceon after he was such a d**k and tried to kill my kid."
Suddenly she seemed stressed and frustrated and she wanted to cry again but instead she stubbornly glared at the countertops, refusing to show Veroen that her eyes were tearing. She wanted to come off as angry as opposed to sad and scared because angry wasn't weak like sad and scared were. Meredith had issues with people seeing her being sensitive or seeing her be nice at all unless they were friends and even then she didn't like anyone to see her cry. So she sat there with her arms crossed sitting on Veroen's lap while glaring at the counter as her eyes threatened to spill over with tears.

Veroen comfortingly wrapped his arms around her waist from behind, and held her. He didn't quite know what to say.
"We'll find a way..." he said softly to her, trying to comfort her and make her feel better.

Meredith sighed. She couldn't think of anyone that would want to help her out or anyone that'd do so without killing her instead. It wasn't exactly something humans normally went about asking, especially when they were hunters and this just seemed to get more and more hopeless as each day brought her a little closer to her due date. A month had passed by already, it was absolutely ridiculous how fast time was flying by but at least she had someone here willing to stay with her through it all and comfort her. Of course she had to love Veroen for that, for his tolerance of her, for everything. He managed to make her smile even when she felt hopeless and for that she could never repay him.
Eden smiled at him softly and leaned into his chest so that her head was beside his, her tears no longer threatening to brim over. Instead she was smiling, her eyes a slight bit glossy since she'd almost broken down into tears. She looked into his eyes with her own purple ones and then closed them as she gently brought her face closer to his and captured his lips with her own. She gently rubbed his shoulder as she did so. It was her saying thanks but it was also her wanting to know he was there and that last night for surely hadn't changed anything between them.

Veroen softly returned her kiss. Her lips felt so soft...he closed his eyes, her face still in his mind, and her beauty. His hand rested on her arm that was rubbing his shoulder. He took in the moment, enjoying every second of it.

It was so easy to just lose herself with Veroen and forget her troubles and fall into the vast expanse of her passion for him. This man, this vampire, this angel had come to her when she'd needed him most and even when she'd tried to push him away he'd put himself out there and laid his heart out to her. It was unbelieveable how lucky she'd ended up being and how she'd suffer through everything that she'd already been through all over again if only to be with him. That was the best way to describe how perfect he was and just how much she'd grown to love and need him. Perhaps it seemed unnatural and foolish but love was blind and yet Veroen had opened her eyes and her heart.
She knew it was a little bold and that it was still the morning but she shifted herself in the seat so that her chest now rested against his and her legs had wrapped around his waist. After that she just kissed the hell out of him, cradling the back of his head with one of her hands as she kissed him while the other hand rested gently on his neck. It was ridiculous how comfortable she felt with him and how she was coming onto him when they'd only been together for about two weeks but it was all just so natural. She loved him, everything about him, flaws that were few and far between and assets, for better or for worse she had fallen badly for this vampire.

Veroen was containing himself, enjoying the nice soft kiss. He truly did love her. He knew for a fact that would never change. She had tried to push him away before, when they first became friends, but something in Veroen told him to keep helping her, and protecting her. And now here they were, together at last. His instincts paid off.
His thoughts were interruoted whenever she shifted her position and began to kiss the s**t out of him. He was taken off guard at first, but quickly meshed into the scene. His hands found her waist, and rested there, slightly keeping a grip on her. He instantly became a bit aroused her her action. He hesitated in his mind, pondering if he wanted to do this again, but showed no signs of ending any of this on the outside. Once he got going, it was next to impossible to stop.
He kissed her back with a bit of force, clearing getting into the situation.
