Caelan sat on a ledge of a building, cigarette in mouth and eyes half open. He watched the people scurry about in their lives, like insects. Caelan felt the tremor of an explosion but ignored it. There was no one around, so he picked up a rock and began to turn it around in his hand. It was slightly larger than a grapefruit. Caelan then stretched his arm back then hurled the rock, sending it incredibly far. Caelan watched it turn into a speck in the distance, then pushed it farther and harder with his 'gift'. He watched it hit one of the many buildings. The building crumbled, and the insects swarmed around it. He smiled a grim smile, and stood. He put his hands in his pockets, and began his descent down to the ground floor. He got to the bottom floor and stepped onto the sidewalk, face set in stone. Caelan walked down the street, watching people run by. Caelan enjoyed causing chaos amongst these insects.

The sensors on Altair's goggles were going off.Another experiment is nearby...we'll leave it be for now and try and to get it on the way back He thought. They arrived at the site, a old section of the city set to be destroyed, and from the readings he was getting three of the experiments were in this area. Altair got out of the truck as did his men, They slid onn there masks They all dressed in armor similar to Altair's. that was becasue this was his squad, each squad's armor was similar to the one squad leaders wore, so it was easier for them to be identified at a distance. Altair made hand signals to the driver who took off, then signs to his squad the took there weapons off, "all call signs check in" Altair said over the squad intergrated transmitters(SITs) "CQC in" said the troop with the Shotgun, "support in" said the one with the SAW. "Assult 2 in" said the man with the M16, "gunners 1 &2 in" said the two men armed with Mp5s. "alright let's get going" Altair said before turning and walking down the street.Dimitri heard a truck pull up a few streets over. "Damn...Soliders...you two go I'll handle them" Dimitri insisted. One arm changed to a chain with a cresentmoon shape blade on the end. He turned and started to walk towords were the sound of the truck had come from.

Japolo kept on following the one with goggles. "Wow, this guy has some moves," Japolo said as she was putting on her headphones "I should follow him more, I'd be getting some great footage for my studies." Typing quickly in her laptop she heard one of her robots malfunctioning Sigh, that one always goes crazy, but funny to watch because he looks like he's dancing

Altair had the strange feeling he was being watched, and looked around. "something wrong sir? one of the squad asked. "it's...nothing...I just had a weird feeling...like were being watched but the Hud would have identified any threats" Altair said trying to reassure himself thet there was no problem.

Waaaah.. did he see me? I better keep more distance between him and me, it could ruin the my documentary. "Sigh," as she made her way up the stairs of the building she was hiding in "maybe some fresh air could do me some good."
Japolo walked across the roof near the edge of the building, feeling the wind blow through her hair. "Ah.. relaxation...."

He simply smirked as he shook his head and walked back towards the end of the street, waiting on the one behind him to follow.
"Well, come on. He'll be a distraction enough that my illusions will keep them from seeing you too. Don't get hurt too much, i hate having to patch anyone up for more than an hour."
He walked away and phased through another cloud of smoke which produced the same image that had been there, just without him standing in the alleyway.
"just walk through when you're ready."

Caelan walked down the street, cigarette still in mouth. He stopped by a TV store and watched a bit of news. The announcer had a large bushy mustache, one that for no reason bugged Caelan.
-"And in other- ... we just received word that the Saturn Motel has collapsed. It is believed that the architectural supports were destroyed, and police-"
Caelan walked away as the news anchor kept talking, now thoroughly bored. He began wondering what other chaos he could cause.

Japolo...
A gush of wind blows in the direction of the building. The silence creeps the many windows and doors, open surfaces. The same building where he had laid, where he was watching. He was waiting for the right time. Before the last lab was destroyed, Galus kept watching the activity of the nearby subjects who were just like him. Annoyed, angry, and cold he lurked around until it rose. Until his personality triggered.
Japolo...bugs...
A series of different type of bugs appeared near Japolo all crawling up the stairs and on the roof. Beetles, Cockroaches, and many different sets make their way towards her cornering her near the building hideout.

((Eeek! How much did I miss?! Sorry about being gone so long XD Ah, well as a gift for forgiveness you can have some previous-life flashbacks! Gasp!))
"I need a defilibrator, stat!"
Things were going badly: The patient's condition, not too good in the first place, had taken a turn for the worse. She was frantic- fearful for his life. Why was there never anyone on the donor list? People rushed around her but she could see the truth in their eyes: They were just going through the paces. This man, he had no hope, he had no chance. He was her first proper patient, and he was going to die...
Aeulia woke up, dazed and confused. One minute, she'd been flying above the battle, ready to step in at any second, and now...
Sprawled out on the pile of rubble she'd been sitting on earlier, wings pressed agaisnt her back at an awkward angle. Aeulia got up, thinking about what had just happened, before she was here.
The explosion. She thought, and a flash of memory came to her. She'd been hit by a piece of shrapnel, right between the eyes. Shaking, her hands brushed her forehead and came back with a small trace of blood.
"I'm alright," She said, to no-one in paticular, "I'm alright."
Using her wings to push her up, she looked around properly. Where had those two gone? Clearly, a battle had taken place, but what had the outcome been? A wash of guilt overcame her. That blade-armed man- She'd been no help in the battle at all. So much for "Are you with me?"
A quick status check, Aeulia closed her eyes and focused. Snatches of a dream flittered before her eyes, disappearing back into the depths of her subconciousness before she could properly examine them. Ignoring this inconvienience, she scanned her self over breifly- no breakages, except on of the claws protruding from her right hand had snapped off somehow.
Aeulia's eyes snapped open. Soldiers! She thought, Soldiers are coming! She flew up high into the air with a mighty wingstroke, ground falling away beneath her feet. Once her upwards momentum ended, she stuck them out wide, wincing as the strong wing caught her full self face on. Hovering over the city, she searched for either of the two whilst she snapped off her claws, one by one.
I can't stay up here for long without being noticed, She thought, I better be careful.

Dimitri came around a corner and several feet infront of him were half a dozen fully armored, heavily armed troops, the leader at the front, h lifted the chainweapon and whipped it at the troops, hoping to hit atleast one or more.
The HUD went crazy as a man rounded the corner, the power readying was indicating this was one of the more powerful experiments. Altair saw the chain weapon and watched the man draw it back "Scatter!" he ordered and rolled out of the way. The men complied at the word and dispearsed taking up positions around corners of houses.
Dimitri changed his other hand into a mourning star and swung it aiming for the leader's position. If I take out the officer, the troops will become un orginized and easy targets He reasoned in his mind.
Altair went to take a peek around the corner and pulled back as a spiked ball slammed into the wall near his head, he pulled back. He made a series of hand singnal to each of his squad mates giving them instructions. he ordered CQC and gunner 1 to circle around and fire from the rear, he ordered the rest to distract the experiment with gun fire.

Hearing Gunshots from the east, Aeulia turned to see a fight occuring down by a large crater. The blade-armed man was fighting off hordes of soldiers, and she could sense several others of her kind closeby, though she couldn't see them.
What's wrong with this? She thought, Why are there so many of us in one place, at one time?
Her hand drifted to her bag, feeling the reassuring weight of the heavy books inside. Still there.
Adjusting the angle of her wings, she glided down sporadically to where the blade-armed was fighting the soldiers. This had always been the tricky bit- she never could get the hang of landings. Fortunately, it came in handy this time; her clumsy descent to the ground almost knocked several soldiers flying, giving her a little more space than she would've. She got up quickly, drawing a small knife out of her bag. I guess now I can be of some use, Aeulia wondered dryily. Leaning forward slightly, she took on a fighting stance.
"You ok?" She shouted, over the sounds of battle.

((uh...there are only six soliders...yeah...))
Dimitri pulled the arms back and made a sheild large enough to protect both of them from the frontal gunfire. "I'm fine, few scratches but nothing serious" he said, he had a stray hit his left foot and one had hit the head of the mace, but that didn't harm him much.
Damn now there are two Altair thought. From the readings he got from the second, she wasn't as strong, he would have to look up there files when he got back. The first expirement had made a shield. I think this is the perfect time to test out that new gadget they gave all squad leaders. He took out a small orb, about the size of a softball, He looked over at the sheild at tried to find the best way to get it around the sheild, it didn't have to but he might not get the second. The men still with him kept up the fire, they were now making bursts, trying to conserve ammo.

((XD My bad... Well, I almost knocked them over. So we'll just go along with it for now biggrin ))
Aeulia nodded. "Good." He didn't seem badly injured, and she was getting the feeling that if he could survive that psyco man, he could survive anything. She saw a man with goggles take out a tennis-ball sized orb, eying the two of them closely.
She whistled softly. "So I guess we go for the leader then? Losing him will damage their morale substantially." She focused on the sheild in front of her, watching it ripple as it absorbed the gunshots.
"Exactly what powers do you have?" She said, in amazement.

"Shape shifting, I can take on the form of anyone I kill along with there memories and any abilities they have, I can also morph the various parts of my body into weapons and sheilds, as you can probally tell" He explained. From the pings he was hearing, they were starting to focus on conserving, and keeping them stationary.
Altair decided to try his luck. He squeezed, and small parts jutted out with glowing lights, he pressed one down and rolled it under the sheild.
The object began emmitting a high pitch whine, the sheild began changing, to various blades and other weapons, "what the hell...", Dimitri squanted from the whine He tried to focus on getting the sheild back up but everything but a sheild came up.
Those techies are geniuses Altair said smiling. The experiments powers work throught there mind, by thinking what they wanted they could activate there powers, the little device's whine scrambled there thoughts so there powerrs went haywire, making them a smaller threat.

"Wha-"
White light began to fill Aeulia's vision, and she staggered, feeling dizzy. Tying to focus, to scan her status, became impossible, and she felt her conciousness waver. In front of her, the Shape-shifter was apparating everything but the life-saving sheild that had been their earlier.
She gripped her knife tightly, but a sharp pain in her side caused her to fall to her knees. Out of her waistline grew an abnormal extra limb, mutated and grotesque.
"Something is wrong... my regeneration..." She whispered, pained.
The device that had been thrown lay on the floor, whining softly. Clutching the knife again, she brought it down on the orb, aiming for the joints to break it apart.
