Mivi Kokoroki Mivi I think Danish is harder than English. I still can't pronounce the word 'meget'. It sounds so easy, but it's definitely not. Norwegian, on the other hand, is easy. It's like speaking Swedish with a Norwegian accent, lol. ^^ Mivi , a fact about english is that all native speakers have trouble spelling words even out of college. Especially with our IM language and different pronouncations of the same words I agree about Norwegian but I think It sounds a lot different though(I laugh at the boys accent) in my teach yourself swedish the girl speaker sounds more british then the guy I hate to ask again( I asked this in the Danish DG) but do you know any websites that have norsk dialects? http://www.ling.hf.ntnu.no/nos/nos_kart.html smile Takk

HellsBitch Kokoroki nope your wrong Hell's b***h Finnish is the WORLD'S HARDEST LANGUAGE even a relative of mine said that he wasn't considered fluent until almost after he left for a 2 year stay. If you don't pronounce a word right it could mean something else. their use of double consonants helps do that. English is a lot worse than Danish(especially American english) Well... ok, but at least they have casus'. We dont.
You study danish. Tell me, can you tell when it's 'en' and when its 'et' in front of a substantiv? Most people cant. Many danish children cant until they reach 4th-5th grade. We have no rules for inflection of words.
I think Finnish is a fun language, but I dont have the courage to start learning it. I still need to try to learn spanish and german. I havent started the spanish yet, and I prolly wont until I'm done with college. Which, if I'm lucky, is in two years. casus?( I don't think english has that) english breaks all its prounciation rules! your gonna learn the worlds HARSHEST language(GERMAN)?(it sounds like they are swearing every other word.) Finnish I started to try it and I still don't know anywords. do you live in AMerica now hellsbitch? English has weird dialects(especially the AMERICAN southern dialects) (I can't stand how people talk over there) All native speakers of English never spell everything correctly even when they are out of college goes back to danish part thats sad...

Have you tried saying r?d med fl?忠That should be more charlenging than just meget Oh how I love that sentence! A TV host here in denmark once got Craig David to say it on national TV. It was sooo awesome! surprised what does it mean?

Danish breaks the pronounciation rules too. German isn't hard and the reason it sounds like they're swearing is because its a so-called command language. Like french is called the language of love, German is really good at giving commands in because its so... hard? *Shrugs* I'm not planning on learning Finnish. Hell no! And I doubt I ever will live in the US. I really dont like their way of running the country. Yeah, they do have some weird dialects, but it's what makes languages fun. I know they dont spell correctly, which is really stupid. Here, we have spelling classes from 1st grade. @Proudly: Red porridge with cream. Its a special course and I think its purely Danish... I'm not sure, though.

DON'T LIVE IN AMERICA , and the only states to go in is CALIFORNIA, florida and NEW YORK if you decide to go a vacation. the funny thing about french is that it belongs to the ROMANCE languages( not meaning love but originated from latin.

I know french is a romance (latin origin) language, so is danish. And german for that matter, but french is called the language of love, where as german is often called a command-language.
I'm really just repeating my last post...
