Slowed her pace so she could look around. She wasn't sure how to explain it but it felt like someone was watching. Her ears fell back briefly with that eerie feeling before raising and her pace quickened. The sound like humming continued as she made her way towards the beach where she usually found him. It intrigued her that they always met there like it was some special spot.
When she got there she didn't see him making her frown. Maybe he is wandering still.. she thought to herself. Out in the open as she was it felt much warmer. Finding a large fanned leaf she plucked it from the bushes where it fell from a tree and drug it out onto the beach. She stuck the end in the sand and ducked beneath, the leaf unstable and laying ontop of her almost hiding her completely. Bits of purple and white stuck out between bits of green

Red XIII wore a odd almost silly like smile when he noticed that she had picked up her pace, it was like being on a hunt. He followed her quietly through the bush, stalking his pray. His wild side got the better of him as he continued to follow her. This had become a hunt for him. He stalked closer to the beach where she laid, all the while watching her closely with his only working eye. He crouched close to the large leaf where she laid under it's shade. With a silent pounce he leap threw the air and landed on the leaf.

Not particularly hiding, Andariel didn't even attempt to pull her tail in under the leaf or the white foot that slid out to the side. She hunkered down in the sand getting comfortable while she waited. Out of no where a weight landed rudely right on her back both shocking her and squishing her against the sand, a sharp gasp escaped as the air was knocked out of her. She scrambled but the sand didn't help in her escape. "What?" she managed to get out.

Red XIII growled with delight as his tail swayed happily in the air behind him.. "Got you." He sounded so proud of him self almost smug. "You should have let you're guard down back there." He made no move to get off of her.

Grumbled hearing the familiar voice above her. Atleast she knew where he was now. "Yes yes.. mind?" she asked still pressed to the sand. "Maybe I knew it was you and didn't mind" she lied.

"You're a terrible fiber you know that." He chuckled and still made no move to get off her. "No I don't mind at all but if you do....make me." He laughed looking at her through the torn parts of the leaf. He was much more playful now after that hunt.

A flick of her tail she huffed and resigned to being pinned "It's hard lying to you.. It's almost as if you know me all too well." she tilted her head to peek up at him. "Well you aren't a feather weight you know.. but if you must can you atleast move a little?" she questioned, squirming to free a painfully caught leg beneath her body

"No that can't be it. You really just must be that bad at it." He laughed. "Nope again. You're cuter when you struggle." He bite his tongue when he said that. Why would he say that. It was so mussy. He leapt off of her at once and moved a body length away from her.

Andariel blinked, hardly noticing the weight lifted. His words filling her head. She stretched out the pinned leg, poking out under the leaf. The big folliage rustled as she moved and looked over at him. "Am I your prey now?"

True to his nature the redish orange tae bluntly said. "Yes." But oddly for him he turned away from her. He stood up and turned his whole body towards the sea, his back was to Andariel. He didn't want to see her reaction this time. He stared out at the open waters, he hated water but for some reason he liked looking out to the sea.

Going against her nature she got up slowly and quietly. His playfulness seemed to have rubbed off on her. She snuck up behind him and brushed her body along his side as she moved up to stand side by side. Her body still touching his and the purple female didn't bother to hide the soft purr rumbling in her chest. "Really. So you pounce your prey then let it go?"

Red XIII ears flicked twice as he tilted his head towards her's so he could glimpse her better with his one eye. He felt the soft rumbling of her purr in his side. He smirked as he realized he liked having her next to him. "No, it's not like that. I normally give my prey a chance to get away again. Makes that chase better, it last longer."

A smile teased at the corner of her lips "Ooh I see. Well then, you better start chasing then" She giggled and bolted away from him, running as quick as her paws would take her off of the beach and back through the forest border. The cover from the trees cast shadow over most of the land and it would have done well to conceal her if it wasn' for the pesky white markings on her fur. Hiding was out of the question under bushes

Red XIII grinned wide showing his shape teeth and counted inside his head to twenty. This was going to be good. When he was done he got up to his paw and bound off after her, following her paw prints felt in the sand. They headed straight into the forest and ended there but he was a very good hunter and knew that paw prints weren't the only thing he could look for. He looked closely at the plants around him, some where bent all one way and a few twigs from a close bush where broken. He knew what way she had gone and took off that way. He kept his eye peeled for more tell tail signs of the way she went.

It was all just a game to her, elated she found him in such a good mood and now had him chasing her playfully she thought through the trees. She jumped over small bushes, broke low tree limbs and almost caught her foot in a hole near a tree. Andariel ran a few good yards before feeling the strain and exhaustion of running hard
