Hanabira melted and wanted to cry when it was all over. Yuki had said many things to her, but she was just relieved that it was all over. "Mm," the girl nodded as tears filled up her olive green eyes. "I did it," Hanabira whispered to herself as she walked out of the dojo with the piece of paper in hand. Clenching it tightly, she calmed herself down and blunk the tears away. "Good luck, Karite-kun..." Hanabira said to the boy, knowing that she would see him later at the lagoon. Timidly, the Yamanaka walked out of the backyard and smiled to herself as she walked. She couldn't wait to tell Kane-nii that she had become a genin just like him! Holding the piece of paper closely to her chest, Hanabira walked into the village, heading towards the Weapon Shop first and then the Clinic to receive her graduation gifts.

Karite's attack was murdered mid flight. This was one of his best attacks against the Meho's, but he should have foreseen Yuki-sensei was a seasoned shinobi. As she tossed the boy onto the ground and continued to mock his attack he stood reluctantly and proceeded to step outside. As he turned back to look at Hana he smiled. She was doing well. Still shy but she had changed a lot. She would be fine. As for his blunder he would have to think about Yuki. He didn't have much information on the way she fought but he knew she could move rather quickly, so could he though.
Karite gripped his staff again like he was facing Yuki. The only difference now was his confidence in his skills had been crushed. His hands were shaking and his mind could not remember half of his strikes. He had trained all morning for this moment and now he was about to let it slip through his fingers because of one woman. Thinking of one solid technique that would hit her was all he needed, but he knew attacking from the air was not going to cut it.

Figures appeared in his mind again as the imaginary world Karite usually focused on engulfed him. Attacks came and were easily blocked away. His attacks went and meet with their intended target. Karite was upset he had failed, but he would not let it happen again. "One day I will become Kage and I will protect my family. Nee-chan and Baki and Kore. I will protect those I care about. I will teach them how to smile no matter what." Karite spoke as his shadow attackers fell to the ground. Spinning his staff in his right hand he stabbed into the ground and nodded his head. "It's the only way to fight right? No one fights to die, they fight to live."

Karite began to shake again as he remembered how easily Yuki tore through him. It reminded him of Shisei so much. That pompous p***k was so weak, but no matter how many times Karite tried he could never touch him. Karite was at the bottom of the class when it came to having shinobi like qualities. The only thing he was really good at was his staff. He was starting to doubt if he had what it took to be a shinobi. Shisei was a strong fighter even for his lack of strength. Orika was a power house and had some skills in blacksmith. Hana was good with her own jutsu and control. Maya and Baki had Taijutsu and teamwork on there side. All Karite had was his staff which he seemed to be lacking in skill. "Maybe I am nervous because I am trying to be something I am not meant to be." Karite said his hands shaking so violently on his staff it would be hard not to notice.

Karite stopped shaking when he remembered his own words at the festival dinner two years ago. He would prove to everyone that he was not pretending. That he would become a shinobi no matter the cost. Now was his chance to do so. Shaking off his jitters Karite spun his staff from side to side. Striking left and right and up and down. Nothing was free from his range. As he felt he was ready for another go. He turned to Yuki-sensei. "I will become a shinobi. I will become a shinobi who even surpasses the gods (soul eater reference lol). I am ready Yuki-sensei." Karite was still a little nervous inside. Another hit like that from Yuki-sensei and he would need a doctor.

All the woman had to do was ask a question and it made Karite's spirit rise from the depths of his soul to the swings of his staff. She stood silently as he spoke with every swing and thrust and slowly his smile made her smile. Tenmoki could feel the adrenaline levels rising in the boy as he ran his mouth and pumped himself up. "A Kage would never doubt himself," Yuki interjected during the brief moment lacking of confidence. There was a strength in Karite that Yuki had not witnessed in the Academy. Just like the generations before him, all students began to shine with their true intents the day of graduation. Karite was among one of the surprises that Yuki would keep in the back of her mind no matter what happened to the boy.
"Let's begin then," Yuki said, as if they had never tried before as she turned to walk back into dojo. She stood where she had once before with Karite. This time she would continue to shake this boy's nerves. "There are not only people that fight to live Karite, but those who fight to destroy. Those people can be the hardest to kill or the easiest. Just like you who would not second think sharing his ideals, there are those on the battlefield that will also share their ideals. They will believe in them no matter how unjust they sound. Don't let it shake your own beliefs," Yuki warned Karite as she stood before him, waiting for him to deliver his attacking blow.

Tanu headed to the back where Tenmoki was testing them today. Her chest was puffed up and she was more confident than she ever was. The Kun Kumo's head would explode if confidence actually took up space in one's mind. By the grin on her face and the prideful walk, everyone could tell that Tanu was in her high and mighty mood. Walking up to the dojo, Tanu did not remove her shoes as she stood on the steps where Yuki was testing Karite. 'He'll definitely fail,' Tanu thought to himself as she watched silently. She wanted to yell out and distract the boy, but she figured he didn't need the distraction to lose his footing. "I'll be next!" Tanu said to Yuki as the woman awaited Karite. She took a spot next to the table that the woman had out and leaned back against the wall with one foot outstretched. It was definitely a cocky posture she was taking on, but she felt as if she had every right to be cocky since she was the second generation of Kun Kumo's to make it through this academy!

(YOU HAVE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME!!!! scream )
Karite spun his staff above his head as he listened to Yuki-sensei. Those who fought to destroy where not welcome on this Island or any place he called home. As he was ready to attack his ears heard the most dreadful sound he had witnessed since his coming to Shima. Looking past Yuki he was the only figure he hated more than Shisei, Tanu. As he looked her in her cocky stance he began to shake again. His confidence dropping and fear beginning to rush into his body.
As he prepared for his attack he decided to try something he had never done before hoping it would grant him just what he needed. Running at Yuki-sensei again. He stuck his staff into the dojo floor. With enough force he pulled himself into the air. Lightly his feet touched he ceiling allowing him to kick off with enough force to hopefully pass over Yuki-sensei and land behind her with a strike to the back.

"Hmph," Yuki grunted at Tanu's presence as here mere being shook Karite's ground. Dragging his staff against the ground, running at his former sensei, Yuki could see the nervousness set back in as he was put on the spot. "Wrong," Yuki whispered under her breath as the boy jumped into the air and hit the ceiling with his feet. "Wrong," she repeated as he pushed off the ceiling to come barreling down right behind her. Her arm reached out in mid-air to grab Karite by the neck. The boy may never had felt someone's hand squeeze their neck so tightly before. "WRONG!" Yuki shouted, throwing Karite back through the doors that he had just walked into. The short woman walked to the door way again. "Where is that mighty spine of the Tategami clan?" the woman asked the boy who had been thrown into the bushes of her garden. "Even Maya who barely speaks can show me more strength than what you have today. No matter who walks in, your fighting spirit should rise above there's. Practice again! And there should be actions to back up those words you speak, next time," Yuki said as the disappointment rang in her voice at Karite.
"KUN 'KUMO!" Yuki shouted, turning to the girl that had walked in so rudely with her shoes on. "Remove your shoes in this dojo and rise up to face me," the woman said, not even asking the young shinobi what skill she would be testing. "You want to say that you are strong and that you are of skill to surpass this academy. SHOW ME!" Yuki shouted with anger as threw a senbon needle in Tanu's direction. She knew Tanu was able to use Kawamiri no jutsu and if her Ninjutsu was as well adversed as the teachers said it was, then there should be no problem in her dodging it!

Karite pulled himself out of the bushes. Gasping for air as he sat on his hands and knees. Squinting one eye he looked up at Yuki-Sensei. She had made very strong points that shook him to his core. He was a Tategami, but he was acting like a coward at the site of a mere person. He use to be afraid of nothing. Now his confidence was sucked out of him by the presence of someone like Tanu? Karite wobbly got back onto his feet. He was almost out of strength. He would have to go in with his all or he would be finished for the at least half the day.
Spinning his staff, he let the wind it cause melt away the world he was in. Rasing a figure in front of him. A lime green haired person. Tanu was now his target. Someone he could strike with his full strength. Raising the staff above his head he slammed it down upon her skull. As he breathed in he drew back his staff and drug along the ground smashing her in the chin causing the image to fly backwards and vanish. "The air is not my aid. I must keep my opponent at staffs length." He was beginning to remember what Hamma had told him the few times he had actually listened to the old man.The staffs length was made to keep ones target at a distance.

The image replaced itself again. Karite gripped his staff and began to spin it in front of him. "Your target is weak. Your blows must be like tempered steel. Time is always of the essences." Hamma said the best way to live to see another day was to finish your target as quickly as possible. As he slowed down the staff he whipped it to the right striking the elbow. Ducking down he jabbed forward towards the chest cavity. Knocking out the air from the body. Lastly the final blow was to the knee cap. Making sure he could not be followed. Raising the staff above his head he suck his body as he fully rotated the staff crushing the knee. "My words are my promise Yuki-sensei. My words are my weapon." Karite muttered under his breath as the figure drop to the ground and vanished.

Karite stopped spinning his staff and sat it straight up on his right side. He was very hot now. Sweating and he was having trouble breathing. Lowering his head Karite tried breathing. He had been pushing himself hard and it was showing now. Looking out the corner of is eyes at his target. She was too strong for him. If that was the case he was to weak. He would not know defeat. Never again would he know defeat. Gripping his staff harder Karite dropped to his knees trying breath. He was going to have to make his next shot count or he would wake up in the Clinic again. Nee-chan wouldn't be to happy about him pushing himself so hard and still not getting very far.

Karite dropped down to his knees again as he tried to breath. Finding it harder in harder he sunk lower and lower. He had really pushed himself to hard. Something needed a break inside of him and he didn't know what. Placing his staff in front of him so he could use it to stand on the boy coughed and wheezed, trying his best to breath again. Yuki-Sensei had squeezed a lot harder than he had first anticipated and now his throat was trying to open itself back up. This was by far one of the worst days of the boys life. Now he had to manage to keep enough strength in him to hit Yuki-Sensei. He wasn't failing his test. It didn't matter he had to come back everyday and get his butt handed to him. He would become a genin to strive for his shinobi way.
