Lunch Break (AIM PRP)

Parties involved in order of first appearance: keetabirdy, and Kawaii_Hime_Ceres.

----

Keeta pushed the stroller ahead of her as she neared the town square fountain. It was 5 minutes until noon and she looked around for a familiar red-head. Spotting a flash of red hair among the wandering crowd, Keeta headed towards it. She would listen to Cassara "Vlad's" music before they met. If nothing else Joel would like it.

Keeta couldn't help but continue to ponder why Cassara had sent the note. The only thing she could think of was that it was somehow related to her interlude with Rhine the previous week. If so, this was going to be one interesting conversation indeed.

Joel babbled from the stroller, as he looked back and forth at all the faces. He had a little containter of cheerios in front of him, some of which made it into his mouth, but most fell on the ground or in the stroller seat. Keeta would have a nice little mess to clean up later. He bounced, wanting to get out of the stroller and be part of all the excitement.

"Da! Mmmmm!"

Cassara's entire chorus was based on lyrics she had written herself. She had memorized them in her head. Each song was a tale about nature or a personal experience that she expressed through music.

Cassara was very personal on her final notes. She slowly opened her eyes viewing the small crowd that contained a few regulars. Bow in one hand, violin in the other she took a bow. Her shirt that unbuttoned a couple slots down hung loosely against her figure revealing more than she probably should have, but she didn't care.

Cassara's tail swayed idly behind her as she clipped the case shut. "I could smell you..." She said evenly. "Cannot say I was expecting you to show so early. Eager much, and with a baby no less." She rolled her eyes.

Keeta bristled, but tried not to take offence at Cassera's tone. She knew before coming here that she was a bit rough around the edges.

"I didn't mean to inturrupt. Joel likes listening to music, so I thought we'd listen for a bit before we had lunch, unless you don't wish to wait. And I had to bring him. I didn't have anyone to sit today. Unlike your mother I don't have a houseful of people who would watch him. Kael had to go somewhere today...." She said the last sentence with a frown and didn't add that Kael had been in a rotten mood when he had left. Her stomach churned slightly as she wondered whether Kael's bad mood and her visit to the fountain today were in any way related.

"You think your eating lunch with me?" Cassara tried hard to bit back her bark, and to hold her tongue. But she couldn't hold the second roll of her eyes. "With smarts like those..." She snorted as her tail curled at the tip.

Cassara took a moment to look Joel over. Not that she wanted one of her own, but there was something about kids. Even in their stupidity she couldn't forgive them unlike an adults.

"Ah, Rhine's about is he?" she asked, trying to keep her tone even. "There wasn't much to go off of in the letter. I'm sorry I take people at what they say...or write in this case. Anyways you're welcome to keep playing. I'm sorry for interrupting, I can wait for him here just fine." With a sigh, she dug out a wipe and try to clean off Joel's face, much to his dismay. After a moment, she glanced up at Cassara again, mid-wipe.

"Your mother doesn't know about this does she?"

"Why would I want to eat lunch with you?" Cassara snorted. "I don't know anything either... I'd like to keep it that way." She said frankly as she looked up at the sky. "And, no you don't need to leave and come back I'm finished for the day."

Keeta shrugged at her question, looking slightly crestfallen. From Cassera's tone one would have thought Keeta had offended her in some way. No, she didn't have to invite her out for lunch, but Keeta was frustrated that she wasn't interested in niceties. For Ceres' sake, she wanted to be at least on friendly terms with all of her children.

"I don't know. I just thought you were wanting to get to know me better or something. I wouldn't object to us trying to be friends. But if you'd rather I keep my distance I can do that. I'll certainly keep my personal life away from you, since that's your wish."

"I trust no man, no woman... Other than my rents and my siblings." Cassara said looking Keeta over. "I suppose though if you are going to be part of the family then I've got no choice but to learn to like you." With that said she turned and headed down the street. "Come along."

Keeta took a deep breath and got behind the stroller, pushing it after Cassara. Well she was not going to be easy to get to know, that was for sure. Perhaps the relatively pleasant attitude she had had the last time they had met had been a facade for Ceres. Well, she knew she would do her best not to provoke any bad feelings. She kept silent as they walked, letting Cass choose to guide the conversation if she chose.

Cassara wasn't sure exactly how to approach or handle Keeta. She knew her mother had good taste in people. But, on the other hand getting to know anyone and trust them... That was another can of worms in general. "My mother has never used a stroller in her life..." She said as she opened the door of the Cafe. "And, be on your best behavior. Not only do we work here we live here as well..."

Keeta wasn't sure whether she should take the comment about the stroller as Cassara's way of needling her, or just a statement of fact. She nodded in thanks as she stepped inside the open door.

"I'll certainly try to be good," she responded placatingly. Keeta at least wanted things to remain civil, if they couldn't be nice. Inside, Keeta looked around for the face she was hoping for.

"I'll take Joel upstairs." Cassara said already bending over the stroller. She was use to watching over little bundles from Natalia being around. "The person you want is in the kitchen... He likes cooking." She said rolling her eyes.

Keeta watched as Cassara took Joel away from the bustle of the dining room. She looked around and found an out of the way place to park the stroller, before heading towards the swinging door that lead into the kitchen. Facing it, she found herself hesitating. Aside from where she worked, it had always seemed 'forbidden' to go past a door such as this. Sighing she pushed the thought from her mind that made this taboo and gently pushed it open, peeking into the kitchen.

"Order up." Rhine hollered out as he sat the plates on the windowsill. Spatula in hand he turned his head to see Keeta standing there. He was already smiling, but somehow it just seemed to get larger the moment he saw her. He sat the spatula down, and then wiped his hands on his apron before crossing the room to meet her, and kiss her hand. "How are you today Princess?"

"I'm doing pretty well? And you my lord?" she asked teasingly in response to the pet name, her smile growing wide as well.

"It's so good to see you! I feel like I'm trespassing back here though, " Keeta said with a laugh, glancing around the kitchen.

"If I am Lord then you would be Lady." Rhine winked. "Now, if you are a Princess then I would have to be a Prince." He chuckled as he playfully teased her.

"Doing fairly well." Rhine said as he handed her a hair net. "You're a bit early, and my help won't be here for another 8 minutes or so." He picked up his spatula. "Even if I own the place this is my favorite place to be. Cassara prefers the stage."

"You'll have to teach me some then. Cooking has never been one of my better skills," Keeta said with a sheepish grin as she tucked her blue hair into the net. It was starting to grow out again as it had been some time since she'd cut it. The last of the brown dye still remained at the bottom of her length, but it would be gone the next time she got a trim. She would be glad to forget that stage of her life.

"So what can I do to help chef?"

"First things first." Rhine grins as he watches her tuck her hair into the net. "I must tell you, you are the most lovely thing to walk into my kitchen today." He rubs his tail against her leg playfully.

Rhine stands Keeta in front of him, and puts the spatula in her hand. "There is a burger in the pan." He says with a laugh. "We're going to squish, and flip... Nothing all that difficult." He puts his hand around hers, and helps her with this.

Keeta smiled and blushed at the compliment, leaning into him slightly as his tail brushes against her. She allowed him to "teach" her how to cook a hamburger, despite this being a skill she did manage to have in the kitchen. It was an excuse for constant and she wouldn't deny either of them that pleasure.

"Like this?" she asked as she worked with him, feigning ignorance on this subject matter.

"Exactly like that." Rhine grinned, and once the burger was flipped he scooted them over to the counter. "Onions... I hate them, but if the customers wants them then that is what they get." He said pressing against her as he leaned forward to grab the onion from the basket. Once he had the onion he grabbed a knife from the drawer. "Like this." He did the same thing again as he did with the spatula. Putting the knife in her hand, and then putting his over hers.

"I see..." she said raising an eyebrow, but then squinting as the onion started to make her eyes water. Keeta blinked and lifted her arm to wipe her eyes on her sleeve.

"I do like onions personally, but cutting them has never been one of my favorite pasttimes. Mmm....they're so good with a little butter and brown sugar...cooked until they carmalize. How can you not like onions?" she asked, turning to look at him.

"Because they give me the shits..." Rhine chuckled as he put the onions int he frying pan so that they could brown along with the burger. "Now, they'll want fries. I'm sure you have that down since I know you can good 'sticks'." He grinned, and took her hand. "But, still I've got to show you to the freezer."

Rhine couldn't believe how free he felt around her. It was like every problem he ever had melted away. He wasn't going to try and figure out how strong his feelings were for him... For now he just wanted to enjoy the ride.

Keeta gladly followed him to the freezer, just letting herself enjoy her time with him. She wouldn't think about how distant he had been this morning now. It wouldn't do her any good. If he had found out, well, she couldn't really make it worse. Rhine wasn't acting distant and it was clear he wanted her near him. It felt good to be wanted like that.

Rhine pulled out the cardboard box, and then from there the bag of fries. He carefully, playfully tossed it towards Keeta. "If you ever wanna help out around here... You know the hair net suits you." He smiled. "Besides, it would mean having more of you around." He winked.

"Well I might consider that. What do you pay?" she asked, sticking her tongue out at him with a smile as she closed her proximity to him with a step.

"I pay higher than minimum wage." Rhine said as he took a step for every one of her steps. "Not to mention we do offer sitter services, and meals. Both free of charge." He brushed his hand against her cheek. "And, for you there is a bonus involved."

"Bonus? Do tell..." Keeta asked with a grin, her voice quieting slightly as she nuzzled against his hand.

"I don't think I have to tell you for you to know." Rhine said leaning forward and closing the distance between him. His lips were inches from hers when suddenly the freezer door opened.

"Sorry mate." Charles said with a grin. "Didn't know you were busy heating up the freezer." He chuckled and took the bag of fries from Keeta. "I'll um finish up that order you have hanging over the grill." With that he turned and left leaving Rhine to look at the closing door before he looked back at Keeta.

"Errr...." Keeta said blushing and looking up at him, clearly feeling awkward about the situation.

"I guess we should have waited 'til you were off before starting on that. I hope your friend there isn't upset."

"All in good spirits Charles has been caught a time or two himself with one of our waitresses. She's a spunky red head. I know I probably shouldn't allow such things to happen in my freezer, but..." Rhine chuckled, and took Keeta's hand.

"How about we head up stairs to my place since he's got things covered. I can fix you some lunch, and things will be more private." Rhine said as he lead her out of the freezer where it was a lot warmer.

"Indeed, well as they say, 'all's fair in love and war'." Keeta responded chuckling slightly as they walked out of the freezer. She squeezed his hand. It felt good to know they weren't the only ones taking time out on the job for personal things.

"Upstairs sounds good to me. I wonder if Joel's fallen asleep or not. Cass- uh...'Vlad' took him upstairs. I didn't have anyone to watch him today. I hope you don't mind..."

"Vlad popped onto the island so that he could have a proper crib, and playtime with Natalia... But, why would I mind?" Rhine grinned as he gave Keeta a good looking over. "He's apart of you, and any part of you is good." Rhine gave Charles a wave as he put his arm around Keeta's waist. "Ring me if you need anything."

"I'm glad you don't mind, but your mom's not going to wonder why he's there and I'm not?" Keeta said her brow creasing slightly. Part of their plan had been leaving Ceres out of it for the time being. It was complicated enough as it was. She knew what she was doing wasn't necessarily right and she didn't need someone else telling her that.

"Mom won't question, but if she does. Simple enough you bumped into her at the town square, and she offered to give you a break. We've already planned things out." Rhine took a moment to unlock the door that lead to the upstairs area. "Place is a bit messy... I've been a bit-" He didn't think he needed to say anything more.

"No worries. I'm not the tidiest housekeeper myself," she said quickly, trying not to let his line of thought wander too far. The original goal here was to help him with his pain, even if she was interested for other reasons now.

"If you're sure we won't get caught. I'd better go see her soon though. She's supposed to be helping me plan the wedding, as you know. I'm sure she'll wonder what's going on if I don't seek her help in that in the next few days. Don't want her letting Kael wonder what's going on either." If he doesn't already know.... she added to herself. If he did....well it wouldn't be long before he confronted her about it. Maybe she'd been dumb to write about it in her journal, but there was no one else to turn to right now...Would he really read her private things like that?

"My mother hasn't caught me yet in anything that I've done. But, I've in the passed been dumb enough to confess." Rhine chuckled. "Now, that isn't saying that no one else hasn't caught me."

Rhine motioned her inside with a smile. "I've got help in making this mess. Vlad stays here." He was use to being one of the few that was able to get away with being able to call her by her real name. But he noticed Keeta catching herself and so felt it was better to help her buy using Cassara's preferred name.

"Well that's good to know that you know how to stay under the radar, so to speak," she said with a smirk, wrapping an arm around his waist.

"If she's staying here, will she mind that I'm here? I know she's already hard to be friendly with and I wouldn't care to cause more friction.."

"She shies away from anyone until she is sure that they are who they really proclaim to be... You see she fell for her who turned out to be a him and yanked out her soul. Raped the both of us. I was lucky in the fact that I could tear that b*****d apart and near eat him alive." Rhine ran his fingers through his hair as he looked out the window. "How about that lunch..."

"Ah...I see..." she said pausing awkwardly until he mentioned lunch, glad for an excuse to get away from this awkward topic.

"Lunch sounds good. I came hungry," she said with a smile. "We eating here?"

"If we eat here then I can cook for you. Or, if you'd like to go to the island then we can have lunch with the family. No telling who you will run into though." Rhine said as he looked her in the eyes. As he caressed her face his own softened.

"Well I think until we decide what we're doing, it would be better not to involve the rest of your family, lest we get to a place where we have to answer akward questions," she said matter-of-factly.

"Besdies, I would like to see what you can do in the kitchen," Keeta continued with a wink.

"I'm talented enough to cook and pleasure at the same time." Rhine said with a wink. With that he walked towards the kitchen. Grabbing an apron from the wall hooks just before the swinging door. "Come on Miss Hairnet Princess." He chuckled and wiggled a finger.

Keeta giggled and came at his beckoning.

"Do I really need to wear this when we're in your apartment?" she asked, tugging at the hairnet.

"Nope. But it does make for some kinky roll play." Rhine said putting the neck strap over her head so he could fit the apron snuggly against her before tying it.

"I suppose you could look at it that way" she said with a laugh, letting him tie the apron, using it as an excuse to be closer to him than perhaps was necessary.

"So what is on the menu this afternoon?"

"Mm I wish I could say you... But alas it is just this poor baked chicken." Rhine said as he opened the oven. "Been working on it off and on all morning." He flipped a few lids to show simmering mixed vegetables, and naked noodles.

Keeta took a good sniff of the inviting aroma that came from the food he was preparing.

"It smells wonderful! Why are you complaining about the 'poor baked chicken?' I can't wait to try some of it. I'm glad you know your way around the kitchen and hope I don't disappoint in comparison should you ever ask me to cook." She stepped behind him and leaned against his back, her arms around his waist as he checked the things on the stove.

"How can I find disappointment in you?" Rhine said leaning a bit against her, but didn't completely do so because of his bulk. He didn't want them both to end up on the floor... At least not in that manor. "So, mac and cheese, or tomato and noodle?" He said pointing to the naked noodles. He carefully curled his tail around, and up her leg.

Keeta shivered slightly as his tail wound up her leg. It was definitely not a way to keep her mind on the present, that was certain. Trying to concentrate she answered his question.

"Mac and cheese," was her decisive answer when she managed to voice it. Keeta had never been one for red sauce.

"I see you have 'kid' on the brain." Rhine chuckled as he slowly unwound his tail so he could get the block of cheese from the fridge. Then a grater from the cabinet.

"Is that a problem?" she asked, sticking her tongue out at him, before continuing.

"Is there anything I can do to help? You've got me all trussed up in the apron and hairnet."

"Since you put it that way, and we're not doing roll play in the kitchen-" Rhine growled playfully as he put the cutting board on the table. "How about shredding some cheese." He put the cheese and grater on the counter.

"I think I can handle that," she answered with a smile, picking up the cheese and beginning to grate it.

"How much do you need?"

Once she was leaning slightly over the counter to shred the cheese Rhine came up behind her. "Just grate-" He whispered against her flesh, and nibbled on her neck. "I like extra cheese myself."

Keeta shivered and closed her eyes, pausing in her work as he nibbled on her.

"That's a good way for us to forget about lunch you know," she managed after a moment, trying to resume grating the cheese.

"I told you I was good at both in the kitchen." Rhine chuckled and put his hands over hers to help steady her. "And, consider this a prelude to dessert before dinner."

"If you say so..." she said, having to try very hard again to keep her mind on the task at hand. It wasn't that she didn't appreciate his attentions, it was just that she thought it more prudent to wait until they were done with lunch.

Rhine stepped away from Keeta and slip the cutting board down the counter till it was closer to the pot. "Bet you thought it would lead further." He chuckled. "Butters in the fridge."

"Indeed," she responded with a raised eyebrow, before heading to the fridge to get the butter. She shuffled through a few things before finding the desired container and setting it on the counter.

"Who'd have thought you had such self-control," Keeta continued with a grin.

"I'm not floating away on alcohol." Rhine grinned. "But, trust me... Right time, right place and I'm insatiable." With that he grabbed a spoon and put a dollop of butter into the drained noodles. After that he dumbed in the cheese. "You want to stir?"

"Sure," she walked over and grabbed the handle of the spoon, stirring the thick mixture, trying to coat everything well and get the cheese to melt.

"Just don't blame me if it comes out all lumpy or something."

Rhine caressed Keeta's spine, and near purred. "If that happens we'll just turn the oven on medium heat. It happens once pasta cools. You really should have self confidence because cooking isn't all that difficult."

She shiverred again as he caressed her, almost joining him in the purring.

"I'm kind of overexaggerating just to be silly," she said, snapping out of it after a second. "And we're never going to finish here if you keep trying to side-track me."

"I just want to make sure you have enough self confidence in yourself that you can go home to the precious one and cook for him regardless if it is a can of soup and be proud of yourself." Rhine scooted away from Keeta so that he could retrieve plates, silverware, and cups. "And, besides half the fun is teething you regardless if you already know it."

Smiling, Keeta nodded in response, continuing to stir the pasta as Rhine set the table for two. She even snuck a small bite while she was working.

"Mmmm....tastes good. I think we may have a winner here Rhine."

"I know I've a winner." Rhine grinned. "After all I've got a Princess helping me with dinner." After the table was set he came back over to the stove. First he turned everything off, and then he carried things over to the table and put them on proper place holders. "Take a seat, and I'll serve you."

"Thanks Rhine," she said shedding her apron and hairnet, and laying them aside. Keeta leaned over and kissed Rhine on the cheek, before seating herself at the table and laying a napkin in her lap.

"Thank you my Prince," she said with a wink.

Rhine's grin went from ear to ear as he grabbed serving spoons. He discarded his apron, and put it with hers. After words he started serving her. "I cannot promise anything about this chicken... It was partially on auto pilot."

"Do I want to know why you were making it on auto pilot?" she asked cautiously as she nudged it with her fork. After a second she began cutting it, while she waited for his response.

"I was working down stairs." Rhine laughed as he plopped into his own chair. He fixed himself a plate with moderate proportions. He leaned forward and helped her cut her chicken. "I promise you." He took a bite for himself.

"If you say so," she said with a laugh, before also taking a bite. The chicken was moist and flavorful and she chewed slowly savoring the flavor.

"It's wonderful! If you hadn't told me you had made it 'on auto pilot' I would have never known," Keeta said, taking another bite.

After taking a couple more bites from his own plate Rhine was content to watch Keeta eat. There was just something about her. He felt content around her. He smiled, and sighed contently.

Keeta heard the sound and glanced over at Rhine. She took in his expression, confused as to why it would be accompanied by a sigh.

"What was that about?"

"Just content. I haven't been this content in a good long while." Rhine smiled, and finally started eating. "You really bright a light to the room..." He wasn't sure how to explain it, but he was sure that was good enough.

Keeta blushed and smiled, pleased at his response and that she could make him happy. She continued to eat in silence, not sure how to respond to such a compliment. The fact that it was her who could make him content where even his ex-wife could not, was a bit overwhelming.

Rhine's tail curled and uncurled around the chairs leg as he finished up what was on his plate. "Hope you are in the mood for dessert." He grinned. "Because I pulled out all the stops for you." He said as the last bite of chicken went into his mouth.

"Oh?" she asked, raising an eyebrow and continuing to blush. Keeta was curious what he had done, but also pleased and slightly embarrassed if he had gone to a lot of work on her behalf.

Rhine collected the dishes, and put them into the dishwasher. Next he covered up the left overs, and put it on the kitchen counter. "Dirt cake." He chirped for the first time in a long time as he stood up.

"Dirt Cake?" she asked, curious as to what it was. She didn't think it was real dirt, but something more akin to the dirt cups she had heard about with pudding and cookies. Still, she couldn't be sure until he explained himself. One thing was for sure, at least so far, Rhine never failed to surprise her.

Rhine chuckled both at her voice and expression of curiousness. He pulled the recipe card out from his little box of well kept dessert secrets, and handed it to her.

1 to 1 1/4 lb. pkg. Oreo cookies
1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
1/2 cup butter, softened
1 cup powdered sugar
3 cups milk
1 (12 oz.) tub Cool Whip (can use chocolate)
2 (3 1/2 oz.) pkg. instant vanilla or chocolate pudding
1/2 tsp. vanilla
4 gummy worms and/or other critters

"I took the time to make individual 'pots'." Rhine said as he sat a flower pot in front of her. It had a yellow and green gummy worm sticking up from the 'dirt'. "Trust me I'm not the typical kid who likes making mud cakes..."

"Haha, it's such a cute idea," she said looking at the flowerpot with amusement.

"Thank you for going to the trouble for me. Maybe I'll have to make Joel one of these when he's a bit older." Grinning, she pulled the worm from the dirt and bit off the end, sucking on the sweet gummy flavor.

Rhine grinned watching her enjoy the gummy worm. It was good to know she still had playful spunk in her. Then again she had to, having a kid... "I have an extra that you can take home with you." He was purely delighted in the fact of how pleased Keeta was with the dessert. It really warmed him over. He handed her a spoon before grabbing a pot and spoon for himself, and taking a seat.

"Well, I'm sure he'd enjoy it, I'm just not sure if he's old enough to be enjoying such things. Especially not the worm," Keeta replied, before taking a bite of the creamy mixture.

"Mmm....." she said, showing her approval and licking her lips. "Chocolate is one thing I'm glad they have in greater abundance over here."

"In any case you can take the extra home with you." Rhine smiled, and continued to enjoy himself by simply watching her. He knew people enjoyed his cooking, but it was different when someone close enjoy it.

"I've got plenty of chocolate stashed about the kitchen. Perhaps next time you come to visit I'll have chocolate covers strawberries prepared for you." Rhine said finally taking a bit of his own dessert.

"Thank you" was all she could manage to say. Keeta blushed when her mind instead went elsewhere for what they could use chocolate, strawberries and maybe add some whipped cream for. To keep from having to speak further, she took a rather large bite of the mixture.

"You don't have to say it to express what your thinking." Rhine grinned wickedly. "Perhaps next time I'll just melt the chocolate, and we can dip strawberries as desired." With that he took a moment to pull a worm from the pot, and slurp it up playfully.

"You're a regular mind reader," Keeta teased, sticking her tongue out at him.

"Apparently neither one of us can manage to keep our thoughts where they are appropriate."

"Who wants to keep thoughts clean and appropriate... After all squeaky clean is hardly any fun at all-" Rhine chuckled his grin growing. "Unless of course you are in the shower."

"This is true..." Keeta said, before taking another smaller bite and licking her spoon clean in a manner she hoped he would appreciate.

Rhine squirmed a bit in his seat but tried to make it as unnoticeable as possible. Though his gaze was hardly adverted from that wicked but crafted tongue of Keeta's.

Keeta grinned as she watched him, pleased that her action had had the desired effect. With the way they had been bantering all through lunch though, she was slightly surprised at his self-control.

"Hmmm...I think I'll save the rest of this for later, in case I get hungry," she said with a wink as she stood and walked towards the fridge to deposit her remaining cake.

Rhine looked down at the flower pot that he'd hardly touched. It could certainly wait forever. He to put his in the fridge before he finished cleaning up the table.

Rhine gave Keeta a good look over, and licked his lips without thought. "Have something in mind?" He whispered as he turned on the dishwasher.

"What do you mean?" she asked, trying to appear innocent, but couldn't help the smile that slowly spread across her face as she leaned against the door of the fridge.

"Someone curvy with gray eyes, and silky blue hair." Rhine said not moving from where he was propped up against the counter. But, his eyes were very busy taking in every detail Keeta had to offer. "Catch my drift?"

"Hmm...I think so, but you might have to be a little more specific," Keeta smirked, never taking her eyes from him. Bantering like this was fun, she wondered how long they could manage it before the inevitable happened.

"Ever taken your hand and cleared the tabled of every dish." Rhine said taking a step towards her. "Been thrown down on the bare table naked a jay bird." He took another step. "Then teased, and pleasured till you cannot stand it anymore and your screaming your partners name... Just hoping for release." He was practically nose to nose when he came to closeness with her.

"N-no," she said in barely a whisper, the teasing lilt gone from her voice as he leaned over her. She couldn't take her eyes from his, memorized as she was by them and his words. Her chest rose and fell as she stood there face to face with him, her heart rate quickening with anticipation.

Rhine twined his fingers with Keeta's and led her towards the table. The table was already fairly empty with the exception of table cloth, salt and pepper shakers, and a napkin holder. He took his free hand and yanked the table cloth onto the floor with it the other few things.

Keeta followed him to the table, silent except for her breathing. She couldn't help but gasp, however, when he flung the objects off the table, even though he had warned her. Glancing up at him, she caught his gaze again, and suddenly couldn't contain herself. Her mouth was pressed against his with an intensity, betraying the level of need she was feeling right at that moment.

---- Insert Time Lapse ----

Rhine was half surprised that they didn't collapse the table in their love making. It had been a very long while since he'd even thought of, let alone done this in the kitchen. "I'd offer you a napkin, but there on the floor." He was trying to be crafty, but wasn't sure it was working. But his attempt was due to after dinner you also needed a napkin.

"I think I can manage without," she said, with a slight smirk. This had certainly been one of the more unusual experiences she'd had like this, but it had also been one of the more enjoyable. She ran a hand through his hair as she looked at him.

Rhine didn't make any attempts to move away from Keeta. He fixed his gaze on hers as he caressed her cheek. "I think between the two of us we've got one hell of a spark going."

Rhine wrapped his tail around the nearest something so that his entire weight wouldn't be all on Keeta.

"Indeed....Let's just hope it doesn't get us into trouble..." she said with a nervous grin. To help him in his endeavor to lessen his weight, she slid out from underneath him, so they were more laying side by side now.

Rhine caressed her cheek, and was content to watch her. If he didn't know better he would have said she was glowing. He smiled, and held her close. He hoped they could lay like this for a while.

Unfortunately, time was not on their side and after Keeta glanced at the clock a moment later, she gasped and sat up.

"Damnit, I've got to go! Kael's supposed to be home in an hour to watch Joel so I can do something with another friend of mine, and the last thing I need to be doing now, is coming up with excuses as to why I wasn't at home on time for him to babysit...." She started scrambling off the table searching for her clothes that had been strewn around the room.

Rhine sat up and watched her scramble. Though he understand he felt torn. He wanted nothing more than to hold her, to call her his. But, he knew that at this moment this was nothing more than an affair.

Finally he slid off the table, and found his pants and with it his mirror. "Go on in the bed room, and I'll call upon Cassara." He smiled gently enough as he kissed her. "Shower if you want."

She kissed him back, knowing it must be uncomfortable for him, with her having to scramble to meet the expectations of another man. For now though, she was offering all she could of herself.

"Thanks for getting Joel," Keeta said as she pulled her clothes on, finding the pieces one by one. "I'll wait and shower at home. There's fewer potential problems that way..." she said, trailing off and pausing to look at him, her expression tender.

"I don't want this to get more complicated than it already is. Neither one of us need that."

Rhine caressed her cheek before looking into the mirror. "You don't need to explain..." With that he walked into another room so summon Cassara.

With a sigh, Keeta continued to track down and don the remaining articles of clothing, before grabbing her other things, so she would be ready when Rhine returned. She felt bad for him, with the awkward circumstances, but she didn't know what else to do.

Cassara came into the kitchen with Joel in her arms, and little Natalia holding onto her tail. "He got a little cranky so we gave him some lunch and a nap."

"Thanks Vlad," she said, taking Joel from her and giving a little smile to Natalia, tossling her hair.

"Hi there munchkin! You're getting even bigger since the last time I saw you.... Rhine?" she asked, looking back at Cass, but figuring she already knew why it was her and not him who had brought Joel. Her heart sank slightly knowing that this delicate situation was hurting him. And that was what she had set out NOT to do.

"Big brother said he luf you... I ask him." Natalia smiled as she reached out to touch Keeta. "He luf you like he luf me, mommy, and everyone." She grinned proudly. "You see me soon?"

Cassara tried her best to remain neutral to the situation. The last thing she needed was for little ears to hear something and for it to get blown out of the water.

"Thanks for telling me that honey," Keeta said kneeling down to Natalia's level, wondering if it was meant in the way the toddler had described, or if it was something more. She swallowed hard, trying to calm her nerves, before glancing up at Cass and nodding, accepting her silence. She turned back to the little girl.

"And yes I plan to see you soon! I need to visit your mom anyways and seeing you will make it that much better!"

Cassara leaned into Keeta. "It is one thing to disappoint my brother, but I will not tolerate if you disappoint Natalia." She whispered trying to keep her voice even. She straighten back up, and put on her best smile. "You have a nice day Keeta." She said in full voice.

Natalia looked between the two of them and she continued to smile. "Okay, then. See you soon!"

Keeta took a step back, unable to control her expression for a moment, before managing to turn it into something neutral. Her eyes were still wide however. Forcing a smile she turned back to Natalia and nodded.

"Yes see you soon..." She cast a furtive glance at Cass before stepping out the door, a little faster than was perhaps necessary. The underlying threat in that statement had not been wasted. Had she disappointed Rhine? And she had no intention of disappointing Natalia. Hell, she wouldn't tolerate that either, but still...Confused, heartsick and worried, Keeta went downstairs to collect the stroller and return home, hoping she would appear presentable by the time Kael returned.

The Fog Tells My Secret (AIM PRP)

Parties involved in order of first appearance: Kawaii_Hime_Ceres and keetabirdy.

----

Ceres felt that she was hardly presentable in her mind as she put on her house coat, and pulled it tight. She hadn't had time to do anything with her hair. She knew that later that morning she was expecting Keeta, but at this hour... She sighed softly and and quietly as possible went down the hall.

Keeta had awoken early, Joel and Kael were still asleep and she was content to leave them lie. Kael knew she was supposed to be going to the island this morning. It had to be early else she would be late for work. She shiverred slightly as she got dressed putting on a turtleneck sweater, and jeans for once. The morning air was getting cooler as fall headed towards winter and her skirts were no longer warm enough.

When she was ready, she got out the mirror and transported herself to the island, hoping she didn't wake anyone in the household.

Ceres opened the door to the guest room in mid yawn. Finally, she saw Keeta. "It is 6 am... Did I cross my wires?" She asked as she motioned the other in.

"Forgive me for not being ready." Ceres said as she pulled her hair over her shoulder. "Let me get breakfast going, and some coffee."

It hadn't dawned on her why Keeta had showed up early, or if there was a reason at all. Her door was always open even the really early hours.

"Nothing to forgive, I know I'm here early. I'm sorry if it's a problem..." Ceres' disheveled appearance didn't bother Keeta. Everyone had the right to look like that in the morning. Keeta knew she hadn't looked too wonderful this morning either before she'd had a chance to clean herself up.

"I was up early, and well..." she didn't want to finish the thought aloud, about how she was avoiding Kael. Especially not when Ceres was under the impression they were going to be doing wedding planning today. So she finished the sentence with another thing that had been troubling her a bit.

"The Fog. You said we had to go through it to visit you mother, and depending on how it affects me, I want to make sure I have some time to recover from the experience before I have to go to work...."

Ceres grabbed her tooth brush and paste on the way to the kitchen. "I don't mind at all." She smiled gently enough. "I can be up at any hour, and ready at any moment... With prior notice." She chuckled.

Ceres took a moment to look over her shoulder at Keeta. "The fog that protects my mother has some of thee strongest magic the isle has to offer. It can take ones fears and make them reality. It forces them to face what they fear the most." She said as she held her tooth brush in her mouth.

"If you want we can meet her another day, and just stick to the wedding plans today." Ceres said as she twirled her finger. Her hair began to braid herself. She was deviating from her normal do simply because she didn't feel like taking the extra time to section it off.

"Oh, no, today is fine, I just wanted to make sure I allowed for whatever might happen. I remembered what you had told me about the fog before...." She fidgeted slightly as she also knew she would rather go through the fog than think about the wedding plans right now. Keeta didn't have the heart to tell Ceres yet that there very well might not be a wedding at all.

Ceres sat her tooth brush on the edge of the kitchen sink. She leaned on the counter as she waved her hand. The coffee pot sprang to life along with the rest of the kitchen. "Hope you can hungry." She said as the food floated from the fridge.

Finally Ceres stretched, and then re tightened her bathrobe. She couldn't at this particular moment remember what she wore to bed. She knew it was modest... But, that was all she could say. She knew she didn't own underwear.

For once her eyes were uncovered as she looked Keeta over. "Something troubles you?" She asked.

"I'm just nervous," she said, smiling slightly, hoping her answer would satisfy Ceres. And truthfully she was. She wasn't sure what kinds of things she might experience going through the fog.

"But I think breakfast will help. I didn't eat before I headed over, because I didn't want to wake Joel and Kael, They were both sound asleep when I left."

"Many brides are nervous before their big day." Ceres said as she pulled out a pair of chairs. "Breakfast will be ready any moment, and probably a pile of people with it." She chuckled.

Keeta smiled and nodded. "I hope Natalia is among them. I know she was eager to see me again, and I'm eager to get to know her better."

"Actually I'm surprised Natalia isn't already up. She is usually the first to rise." Ceres grinned. "Ah, coffee." She grinned as she waved her hand. A couple of cups and the pot floated towards them. "Or, do you prefer juice?"

"I'd rather have juice, if you don't mind. Not much of a coffee drinker," she said with an apologetic shrug.

"Normally I'm a juice person." Ceres chuckled. "But, this morning called for coffee." She again waved her hand so juice arrived on the table. "Apple and orange. Take your pick."

"You know Rhine's been acting strange lately. He actually seems happy considering he only just recently ended his marriage." Ceres said as she fixed her coffee. "I suppose I should expect from him. He is a romantic."

"Thank you, it's delicious. And I'm glad to hear that Rhine is doing ok. I know something like that has got to be hard on him." Keeta looked at her juice as she spoke, so she wouldn't have to look Ceres in the eyes. She wasn't sure whether she suspected anything.

"Is something the mater Keeta?" She couldn't help but to not notice. "You haven't looked me once in the eye since you came, and frankly I don't think you've had a true smile that wasn't troubled..."

"Is it the fact I'm in my house coat?" Ceres again pulled her house coat a little tighter as she swirled her finger making sure that breakfast was taking care of itself.

Keeta looked up at Ceres, her expression a little less composed this time. Obviously she wasn't going to fool Ceres into thinking that everything was as it should be.

"Oh things have just been a bit complicated of late, but it'll all get resolved soon I'm pretty certain." She laughed slightly, as she glanced at the housecoat. "And no your housecoat doesn't bother me. Believe me I've seen women in a lot less before."

Pink tinged Ceres' cheeks before she cleared her throat. She dropped her hands and fiddled with the coat edges that was in her lap. "You aren't pregnant again are you?" She asked in a low voice. She really couldn't see how getting married was all that complicated other than a few of the plans. "Because what ever dress you pick out I can alter it to fit you... Every curve just right." She smiled honestly enough as a friend would who wanted to help.

Keeta's mouth dropped open slightly. That's what she was thinking? Well at least it wasn't what was really happening.

"Uh...no. No I'm not," she said, and couldn't help chuckling a little at the thought. Now that would make things more complicated.

"Just some of my own issues I need to work out. That's all."

Ceres reached out and touched Keeta's engagement ring. "Then perhaps you ought not commit to him just yet... Especially if one's heart is troubled." She settled her own gaze on Keeta. "This is no decision to be taken lightly."

"I know that Ceres..." She clenched her hand until she could feel the metal band pressing against her palm.

"Perhaps we should make that journey another day." It was all Ceres could think to say. If Keeta was this trouble she'd hate to see what it could do to her because it was obvious that these troubles could easily be turned into fear.

Keeta shook her head. She wasn't going to back down now.

"No, it'll be fine. I want to go."

Ceres nodded as she thought for a moment. "Perhaps it will be a good thing. Because it will make you work through what troubles you. That way you could see the solution." She smiled positively as she again waved her hand. She began to set the tables so that when the food was ready they would be ready. "Just remember it is going to be a brutal experience if you fear anything at all..."

"I understand..." she said more quietly this time, watching idly as the dishes made their way to the table. Keeta sat more upright as a dish headed for the place in front of her, so she wouldn't be in the way.

Natalia dragging a blanket and her kiwi behind her came into the kitchen. She rubbed her eyes as she yawned. "I smell bacon." She counted each chair till she found her favorite. She climbed up into the chair. "Juice please." She asked as she put Kiwi on the table.

"We have company Natalia." Ceres said as she put a napkin around kiwi so that he wouldn't get dirty with syrup and other breakfast items.

"Hi honey," Keeta said, wondering if the girl could recognize her voice already.

"I told you I'd come see you soon. Did you and Kiwi sleep well?"

"Yes, miss Keeta we both sleep real good." Natalia grinned as she looked in the direction of Keeta's voice. "We both ready for breakfast. Are you ready for breakfast?

Ceres chuckled. "Now don't go asking a million questions before we even begin to eat."

"It's ok," Keeta said with a smile. "Gets me ready for when Joel hits this age. And yes I am ready for breakfast," she finished, turning back to Natalia.

"Kiwi likes bacon." Natalia grinned as she clapped happily. "Keeta like bacon? I like it to." She felt around her area of the table to find her silverware and plate.

Ceres chuckled knowing very well everyone else ate kiwi's bacon. But, no one had the heart to say anything since Natalia was so young.

"Yes I like bacon. I'm glad to know Kiwi has such a healthy appetite," she said glancing at Ceres and giving a wink.

"He doesn't like those small, round green things." Natalia said as she felt further around the table. "No juice mommy?" She asked not finding it in its normal area.

"Oh heavens I'm sorry dear." Ceres said as she waved her hand and a cup appeared. She then manually poured her daughter some juice, and put her hands on the cup.

"Small round green things?" Keeta asked, not sure if she had the correct vegetable in mind. "Peas?"

"Yes, those things." Natalia said making a face.

Ceres chuckled as she motioned for breakfast to make its way to the table. "Well looks like it is just the three of us this morning."

"Well that's ok, makes it nice and peaceful. I think mornings are the best time of day. The air is fresh and there's all these possibilities ahead of you." Keeta shrugged as she reached for a piece of bacon from the plate when it landed on the table.

Ceres grinned. "That is the spirit!" She said as she fixed Natalia's plate before her own. "I'm sure that the rest of the crew will be around. Some sooner, others later."

"Well it's fine if they don't. I know they all have their own lives going on. I wouldn't presume they drop things on my behalf." Keeta took a healthy bite of a pancake and eggs, before washing it down with some juice, hoping it wasn't a poor choice to go into the fog the first time with a full stomach.

"Actually my children rarely miss breakfast and dinner... It is lunch that table is scarce for the head count." Ceres said as she poured syrup on Natalia's pancakes, and cut them up for her. "... But, it is still early." She chuckled and took a bite of bacon.

Keeta wondered if she had remembered to tell Rhine she would be visiting today. She hoped she had, so she would know not to make an appearance this morning. It would be even harder to keep their secret is they were both in the same room as Ceres.

"Indeed it is. Again I apologize if I came too early."

"Never to early." Ceres said with a grin. "My mirror is always open-" She took a bite of eggs, and played with her bacon for a moment. "It isn't like I do anything dirty or anything unless you count gardening."

"Thanks for that Ceres," she said, before continuing to eat quietly. Every so often she glanced over at Natalia and watched the little girl and her interaction with the world around her. She was eager to see Joel get to this stage in his life, wondering how he would be similar and different from Ceres' toddler. Keeta had never paid much attention to the development of other children before, but now it was interesting to her.

"Kiwi done mommy. I done to." Natalia said pushing her plate to the side. "I wash hands then I be back for Kiwi. Tell him to no get lost." She carefully climbed down, and headed out of the room. "I be back." She called out."

Ceres just smiled. "He's been in the family since I brought Ayisha home." She said as she took a moment to clean up Kiwi. "Although, I don't believe every child played with him... Natalia has certainly enjoyed him the most I believe."

Sky rubbed Ceres' shoulders startling her for a moment. "I just saw a blue blur skipping down the hall... I take it she has already eaten and is full of sugar." He chuckled.

"She certainly does seem to take him everywhere," Keeta commented, inclining her head towards Sky.

"How're you this morning?"

"I suppose I'm as well as any other morning," Sky said as he yawned. He then took a seat, and started to fix his plate.

Ceres chuckled, "There are only three people in this house that are morning people. Tinker, Perian, and Natalia." She put the Kiwi back in the spot where it was.

"I'm fortunate in that I can be whatever I need to be," Keeta responded with a smile. "Although mostly it requires me being a night owl, seeing as I work in a bar." She twisted the ring on her finger thinking about whether she was going to be able to find someone to watch Joel at night if she and Kael split. She wouldn't expect Rhine to do that when he had his own restaurant to run.

Even if it was barely noticeable, Ceres could sense difference in Keeta's demeanor. She decided it was best to not provoke Keeta into talking. The less her friend worried the better. She sighed as she collected the dishes.

Sky watched Ceres knowing that she was holding back. He busied himself with eating his breakfast. Occasionally offering a smile.

"So when do you think we should head out?" Keeta asked after an uncomfortable moment of silence, rising to help Ceres clear the table.

"Don't worry about it dear," Ceres smiled as she dumped the dishes into the sink. She pulled her bathrobe closed once more when she noticed Sky giving her a look over. "The kids can take care of it. I'll go get dressed, and we can get going."

"Ok, sounds good," Keeta said, nodding and returning to her chair, still preoccupied, her thoughts now returning to the fog as she waited. What would she experience there?

Ceres returned a few minutes later still tucking her self in place, and getting things in position. She swirled her fingers and let her hair brush and hair ties do its thing. "What's got you down?" She asked noticing how down Keeta looked.

"Oh, nothing, I'm just lost in my thoughts," Keeta said, quickly placing a reassuring smile on her face. It wouldn't do to have Ceres worry and question her. She didn't want to lie to her friend any more than she was, especially since lieing wasn't something she did well.

Ceres decided to drop it since it was apparent that her friend didn't want to talk about it. She put her hair brush up and smiled. "Alright then," she said to Keeta as she put her hand on Sky.

Sky stood up with a nod of his head. "Old times," he smiled as he took his hand in hers and rubbed it on his face.

Keeta looked down, realizing she was making her friend uncomfortable with her standoffishness. But...she knew it would make Ceres even more uncomfortable if she knew the truth. Sighing quietly, she wondered if it had been a poor choice to come, when she had such concerns on her mind. Ceres and Sky weren't people who missed things easily. It was really hard to keep things from them, especially since she didn't want to keep things from them.

Nodding to Sky, she headed out the door to wait for Ceres while they had their moment. It didn't feel like something she should be intruding on.

Sky walked out the door with Ceres. He let go of her hand as he took a couple steps forward. Though they didn't find it as whimsical anymore they were sure it would be so some. For every step he took he transformed into a Pegasus. First his arms and legs became hooves, then slowly his middle, and finally his head. He reared up, and pranced on his hind legs.

Ceres waited for him to come down from the magical high. She patted him on the muzzle. Looking into his eyes and finding peace for the moment she smiled. "Go on," she whispered.

Keeta watched, transfixed, as Sky transformed from a humaniod to a pegasus. She had never seen him change before and it was astonishing to her. She couldn't help but utter a very quiet, "Wow...."

Ceres unfastened the waist piece knowing Sky wouldn't need it. She folded it with a smile. She patted his rear. "Go on now before you miss the run," she was speaking in equine.

Sky whickered and tossed his head up and down. Nuzzling Ceres before he backed up and circled. He was a bit of showoff in this form. Nuzzling Keeta, and then running off into the distance.

"Come on," Ceres said with a smile as she motioned to Keeta. "It isn't wise to take Equines so we are on foot. Hope you brought your walking shoes."

Keeta petted him awkwardly in the brief moment he nuzzled her. She wasn't sure how normal "human boundaries" applied to a man that was now a winged horse, and was grateful that he quickly hurried off, so she wouldn't have time to think about it too much.

"Walking is no bother to me," Keeta said, nodding confidently. She was used to walking, cars and the like never existing in Evin, and she was never wealthy enough there to purchase a horse.

"Lead the way."

Ceres chuckled at the thought of shoes. She herself had never worn them, or found a use for them. She knew a few of her children found uses. She didn't linger on those thoughts and led the way. The grass tickled her toes and the sun caressed her skin.

Keeta followed silently, taking in the scenery as they passed, as they were heading to a part of the island she had never visited before. In fact she had seen very little of the island in the times she had visited, only going where Ceres, Sky or the children had led.

The walk Ceres had taken them on was long, and basically silent. She figured Keeta would want to take in her surroundings. It really was a beautiful walk.

"I won't be able to hold your hand," Ceres said as she stopped at the edge of hazed over area. "Honestly, I cannot bail you out. You have to face your own demons." She felt herself tighten in the chest. She didn't know if this was right with how troubled her friend seemed.

Keeta's brow furrowed slightly, as her stomach flip-flopped, and her heart started pounding when she faced the hazy area. After a moment of silent self-encouragement she nodded and took a decisive step forward.

"I understand. Just...don't let me get lost."

"If your demons are strong enough they can destroy you from the inside out," Ceres said not able to look Keeta in the eyes. "If you can deal with them, but cannot come to terms with them you'll end up lost. You'll come out somewhere other than here." She slowly stepped into the fog. "If you have faith in yourself I'll see you in the middle." She finally smiled as she looked the other in the eyes. "I have faith in you."

Keeta took a tenative step into the fog and instantly she was bombarded with images as clear as if they were really happening in front of her. First there was Kael yelling at her because he had found out about Rhine. Him snatching Joel out of her arms telling her she was a horrible mother. Then there was Rhine and they were happy for a moment, but then he turned away from her as if he was disgusted with her. Then there was no one. She was alone. She called out in the endless emptyness for them.

"Joel! Kael! Rhine!" She looked around frantically for them, but they were not to be found. "No! Come back! No! No!" she cried into the darkness, but she could not even hear an echo in return.

Ceres could feel every inch of her tighten and begin to tingle. She was just steps from her mother- not that there was ever a middle for her. She never interfered because she knew she wasn't aloud. She wasn't suppose to rescue people from the islands traps- but, this was her fault. She had lead Keeta here and sent her to the wolves so to speak. She took a heavy breath and stopped in her step. She remained in the fog as she closed her eyes. "Keeta," she called out.

Faintly, seeming more dreamlike than the vision she was currently immersed in, Keeta thought she heard someone calling her name. In faint hope, she turned towards the voice.

"Rhine? Kael?" she called out desperately.

Ceres sighed heavily before she focused all her energy in her voice. It was Keeta that mattered and the islands 'silly' rules. "Keeta," she called again. She felt compelled to hold out her hand and did so.

Keeta walked closer to the voice, but felt repelled by it in some fashion as well, like it was difficult to make her way closer, but she still moved towards it. Suddenly there appeared a hand in the darkness, and Keeta made her way towards it. When she was close enough, she gripped it tightly.

Ceres didn't know who Keeta thought the hand belonged to- that part wasn't in her control. This was Keeta's reality now even if she had a hand in altering it just a smidge to pull her through it. "Keeta," she again called out. She wanted to keep Keeta heading in the right direction.

She followed the hand wherever it led, knowing instinctively that somehow it was there to help her. She responded again to the voice, hoping the owner of the hand would identify themself, never considering that it might be Ceres. In her world for the moment, there existed only three others, only two of which could have been the owner of the hand, as the third was not yet walking.

"Kael? Rhine? Answer me!?"

"Keeta," Ceres called out even louder. Her voice was stronger, sturdier. She wanted to pull Keeta through this even if it was against the rules. Those who were not strong enough were not meant to find the middle... But, Ceres couldn't bare to loose Keeta. She was starting to feel the strain as her limited energy was becoming drained.

Keeta frowned. That didn't sound like either of their voices. In fact....it sounded feminine. She became unsure. She was the only woman who belonged here. Who was this person? Had she come to take Kael and Rhine away from her? Fear of loss crawled though her once more.

"Who are you?"

"Mistress of the Island," Ceres said firmly. She didn't care if it gave her away, and altered Keeta's 'reality'- What she did care was getting her through this before the fog consumed them both. It wasn't that Ceres was doubting herself it was the fact that she was nearly out of resources.

"Island...." Keeta murmured, her mind suddenly becoming less focused on the two men. She had been on an island...with a friend. She had been trying to go somewhere with her. Ceres...

"Ceres...."

Ceres looked celestial almost wispy when Keeta came in contact with her. She did not look as exhausted as she felt. Carefully she pulled her friend from the fog. "I thought-" she took a breath as she returned to looking like her normal self, "you'd never make it."

Keeta blinked as she stepped into the center, coming out of a mental fog as much as a physical one.

"I..." she trailed off, shaking her head. She didn't know what to say, how to separate dream from reality right at that moment. It had all seemed so real.

"You what-," Ceres said as she leaned herself up against a tree. "Learned something. That is entirely the point. The fog strengthens one’s self. You must be stronger than you think because here you are... And, you aren't torn from the inside out. Though you do look a bit pale." She fisted her hand and held her chest. She wouldn't tell Keeta that she had interfered...

Keeta nodded slowly, trying to convince herself that what Ceres said was true.

"I suppose..." She looked back at the fog that surrounded them.

"We have to go through it again when we leave?"

"Yes- again," Ceres said as she brushed herself back into place. This getting old bit was getting old and quick. "Come along," she said with a motion of her hand."

"You shouldn't worry... It is easier to get out than in. For it is more than willing let go than it is to let you come in." She said trying to reassure her friend.

"Well...that's a relief..." Keeta said, following Ceres. Although it was still difficult to separate what had been reality and what had been a dream in there, Keeta knew she would rather not repeat the experience. If nothing else, she felt unsettled by the whole thing, and she had no idea that Ceres had overheard her calling in the fog. Nor did she truly remember what it was that she had called out in the first place.

"I know my son's a good man and all," Ceres said having hoped to avoid this all together, but she couldn't put it out of her mind why Keeta would be calling out to Rhine and Kael. "But why call out to him?"

"Hm?" Keeta looked up at Ceres, with a slightly confused expression. She thought she had called out to someone in the fog. Had she truly been calling out to...Rhine and Kael? Her cheeks turned a slight shade of pink.

"Was I?" she clarified, slightly hoping that Ceres would drop the matter upon seeing her confusion. If she truly had been calling out to Rhine...well, she didn't really want to tell Ceres why. But from the look of things, Keeta knew that soon she may not have a choice.

"I will not excuse his actions," Ceres said as she continued forward. "I never have. I've made him deal with the consequences. I just hope he doesn't have to deal with-" She shook her head and tried to smile.

"I just hope that eventually you will trust me enough to tell me why."

"What actions are you anticipating him needing to deal with?" Keeta asked, curious as to what conclusions Ceres had already come to. If she guessed right, there would be no point in trying to continue to keep it from her.

"And I hope you know I trust you implicitly Ceres. If it's anyone I don't trust, it's myself."

"My son may be a good person but I know he is foolish. I know he takes one too many risks especially when it comes to love- or, what he thinks is love." Ceres turned and looked in the direction of Keeta's voice. "What I hope is that he doesn't have to deal with a double scoop of heartache... "

Keeta fidgeted as they walked and didn't immediately respond to Ceres. Some of her words had hit her hard and she wasn't quite sure how to deal with them. Was she being foolish, pursuing him? Kael had been so distant lately though...and Rhine so warm and comforting. Once more, she unconsciously twisted the ring on her left hand.

"What makes you think that awaits him?" she finally said.

"When will it end Keeta?" Ceres asked as she watched Keeta twist the ring on her finger. "You cannot keep running between two men. And for whoever it is you decide upon what happens when the next poor fool comes along. I just see disappointment one way or another for my son. If not now then when the next fool comes along."

Keeta stopped and took in a shuddering breath, not looking at Ceres. It was true...she had cheated on Kael and was 'running between two men.' And now when her friend threw the truth in her face, Keeta could feel the guilt, shame and confusion she had been carrying with her rise to the surface. She concentrated on breathing, praying that she wouldn't break down. Not now. When she felt more in control she looked up at Ceres, her eyes shimmering with the threat of tears that she tried to hold back definatly.

"I don't want to be in this situation. I don't want to be doing this to either of them, myself, or my son. But here I am. I cannot take back what has been done. I thought I loved Kael. And I think I did....before he disappeared. When he came back, he was an altered man, and I did not see it right away, so joyful I was at his return. He asked me to marry him on the day of his return and of course I accepted, considering the time I had waited for him and remembering what we had had. But he was no longer the man I loved. He has grown distant and bitter, and even his physical self has been altered." Keeta paused there and turned away, pacing as she poured out the trials that had been eating away at her for the past months.

"And yet...he still loves my son. I can see it in the way he interacts with him....and he is the only father Joel has ever known, even if Joel is not his blood." She sighed, shaking in emotion. "Then Rhine came along. He had always been flirtatious with me, but you had identified that as part of his nature, so I initially never thought anything of it. When his wife left...he came to my bar with the weight of the world on his shoulders. I wanted to help him, and so I gave him what he needed at the time. But....a bond formed between us, and I found that I needed him, as much as he needed me. And it has continued as such since then. The bond has only grown stronger and the only reason I do not give myself to him completely is that I have already promised myself to another, even though I do not love Kael any longer.

"It is a choice I feel terrible about having to make. I do not wish to hurt either man, and it is tearing me up inside as well. It is not a decision I make lightly or I would have already gone though with it. I pray it is a choice I will never have to make again, for all our sakes. I would never purposly influct pain on another...." Running out of words, Keeta dropped her head, and waited for Ceres' judgement.

Ceres listened and weight every word carefully. She could tell that her freind was being honest in the entirety of the mater. Having never been in this type of situation before she couldn't say she understood. But she did know it had to be hard.

"I won't pass judgment on your morals Keeta- I never have," she finally said as she took a couple steps toward her friend. "But, from what you've said your heart already knows what it wants... Or, perhaps that is just me being selfish as a mother."

Ceres rested her hand on her friends shoulder before pulling her into a hug.

Keeta gratefully accepted, gripping Ceres tightly and glad of the fact that she had not been given a further tongue-lashing by her lover's mother.

"That's just it though....I'm trying to be a good mother as well..."

"A good mother is a happy one. If you are always skipping out to be with another man what do you think that will say to your son?" Ceres said as she continued to hold Keeta.

"But that would also mean tearing him away from the only father he's ever known....again..."

"Keeta-" Ceres said as she broken the two of them apart and looked the other in the eyes. "Joel's young enough to forget. And, Kael's old enough to forgive." She kept her voice sturdy as she spoke. "If Kael wants to stick around and watch the little tyke grow up... Then that's great. It just means the boy gets two daddies."

Keeta pursed her lips as she considered this and nodded.

"Regardless, it is not something that can be resolved where we stand. Let's keep going...this is not why we came."

Ceres nodded her head and with a flick of her hip she turned and walked away. She supposed that Keeta just didn't want to talk about it- or, dwell on it for that mater.

In silence, Keeta followed, hoping she had not offended the blonde mistress of the island with her redirection. It was just, with things out in the open, Keeta knew she had to pick a course of action and it was a path she would have to tread alone.

"Visitors!" It came from no where yet every where. The voice was ancient and worn. Defiantly feminine. "I don't get many of those-" Came the voice again as branches of a large tree sprang to life.

"Mother," Ceres said eagerly as she touched one of the lower branches. "This is Keeta," she said with a smile as she motioned to the lady slightly behind her.

"Hello," Keeta said, as she stepped out from behind Ceres. She would never admit it, but she felt slightly foolish, speaking to a tree.

"It's nice to meet you."

"Pleasure is all mine child. I can assure you of that." She chuckled. "I don't get many visitors especially ones that aren't family."

"Well you are important to Ceres, so I thought I should meet you at least. We've kind of adopted each other and so I'm trying to become familar with the important parts of her life. You have a wonderful daughter and she has helped me so much."

"Good to know she was raised well. Then again it could be all the years of practice." A branch moved across and over Keeta's shoulders. "Then family it is." Though there wasn't a physical smile it was in her voice.

Akwardly, Keeta tried to "hug" the branch back and smiled back at the tree, glancing a moment at Ceres to see if she was doing alright.

"I'm glad to be a part of your family, as that seems to be a more and more difficult thing for me to hold on to these days."

"Sometimes the most difficult things have the simplest of solutions."

Ceres chuckled. "She's wise beyond her years."

"I suppose that's true. But only if you can see the solution..."

"Perhaps it is time to take time for yourself and no one else," came the voice from inside the tree. "But, perhaps I say that because I have to much time on my hand to think and to be left alone."

"Like a vacation?" Keeta asked, laughing slightly, but her face was serious, showing she was listening to the words of the tree. She glanced again at Ceres.

"You could think of it like that," came the voice again but this time it sounded almost like it was coming from the wind. The tree leaves rustled as the branches swayed gently enough.

Ceres glanced at Keeta and smiled.

Keeta nodded and lapsed into silence. She had very much wanted to meet Ceres' mother, but now could think of nothing to say.

"Well dears as much as I appreciate the visits-," she couldn't help herself as she let out a long wispy yawn.

"We'll come again," Ceres said as she again touched one of the lower branches.

Keeta nodded mimicking Ceres' movements, laying a gentle hand on one of the tree's lower branches.

"Indeed. It was nice to meet you."

With that Ceres turned around and headed back for the thick fog. She decided it was best to just remain in silence.

Keeta followed, hesitating at the edge once more. She took a deep breath and focused her thoughts on Ceres, hoping it would help her through this time.

Ceres was gone in an instant and even quicker was she through the fog. She waited for Keeta hoping that she wouldn't have to help her again. She didn't know if she had the energy to do so.

The fog tried to bombard her with the same fears, but she tried to ignore them and their hold on her was not as strong as before. Maybe, like Ceres said, because the fog didn't mind people leaving as much as coming. Maybe because she was more resolute in her decision. Or maybe because she knew better what to expect. Either way, she pressed forward, trying to remain focused on her friend and trying to fend off the lies with confident declarations of what she knew to be true. She didn't make it through as quickly, or at quite the same spot as Ceres, but moments later, she appeared on the other side.

"Not to bad," Ceres said with a grin. "Quicker out than in." She chuckled and took her friends hand. "Lets get to the house quick so we can get some dinner going."

Natalia walked, practically danced, into the clinic. She may not have had eyes, but she did have ears. And, those ears were tuned better than ever to her surroundings. She was a carefree spirit and ready for anything. Especially since she had memorized the area around her.

Ceres' hands was in Sky's as she leaned against him. They were just a little behind Natalia. She chuckled as she watched her anxious little one. She couldn't believe how quickly she was growing up.

Tinania push the door open slowly, allowing two small little toddlers to waddle into the clinic. With her wings folded behind her, she takes a deep breath as she glances around the clinic. Only one person was in today, so it meant she would be able to get what she needed then be out of here soon.

Seiji held Nirendra's hand as he makes his way around the main room. His blue dragon wings flapping alittle as he pauses in his step. Looking towards Ren, he points towards the chair "Ren sit?" he was trying to ask her if she wanted to sit in the small seat.

Nirendra chews on her bottom lip as her light blue hair falls into her face. Making a face that look very much like a frown, she steps closer to Seiji. Shaking her head, she herself unfolds her dragon wings from around her shoulders. It was a new place, thus she wasn't sure what to do at this point.

((Nirendra and Seiji))

Natalia spun around immediately in the direction she heard noise coming from. With her own sudden movement the bells woven into her tail jingled. "Mom," she said with a voice full of curiosity.

Ceres looked up from Natalia, and towards the door. Her eyes however never focused on one area. Noticing that these were people she had never met before she smiled most pleasantly. "Hello," she said volunteering a greeting first.

Sky's eyes and posture focused on the direction of where the people where heading. He kept his eye on the little ground. He was the eyes for Ceres'.

Looking towards Ceres, Tinania offers her a small smile as she bows her head alittle "Hello, I'm sorry if we are disturbing you. Just came in here quickly to grab some paperwork for a friend, then we shall be on our way." unfolding her fairy wings, they flutter for a moment before falling still once more.

Seiji looks towards the other family, his head tipping to the side as she studies them. Keeping ahold of Nirendra's hand he attempts to pull her behind him "Ren stay...." it wasn't the fact he didn't trust them, he just didn't know them.

Nirendra frowns before she pulls her hand from Seiji, finding she didn't like being told what to do. Crossing her arms she moves pass Seiji, so she can stand next to him. Her eyes watching the little girl for a moment. She was different compared to herself and Seiji, but what caught her attention the most was her tail. It made a sound when it moved, which Nirendra found more interesting then anything.

"You are far from disturbing us," Ceres said as she put her hand on Natalia's shoulder. "We came here in hopes that she could find someone to play with for a few moments..." She did not feel the need to mention that where they lived there were few children. There was a soft swish of her own tail.

Natalia touched her mothers hand. Feeling no tension she took a couple of steps forward. Their voices were gentle enough, and she could not see what was ahead of her and thus she was not intimidated in the least. Taking a couple of steps forward she could only guess how close/how far the others were from her.

Sky whickered and gave a flick of his own tail. He did not mean to seem stern. He was protective of her more so than any other child he had fathered. He kept a watchful eye on Natalia, if for nothing else to make sure that she didn't run into a table.

Tinania couldn't help but smile as she remembers when her mother use to do that for her. With a small chuckle, she leans over the counter to grab a few pamphlets "Well I guess it wouldn't hurt to stay for a little longer." placing the pamphlets into her back pocket, she nods towards her brood "My son Seiji, and my baby cousin Nirendra. I'm Tinania, I'm actually a child of this clinic also." moving towards the others, she kneels down on the ground near Seiji.

Seiji glances up when he hears his name, only to look towards the little girl again. Giving a wave, he rest against his mother as his tail smacks the ground a couple of times. His golden eyes dart from Sky to Natalia, then back to Sky. Wrinkling his nose up, he lays his head on his mother's lap.

Nirendra seem happy that Natalia was attempt to come closer, in fact she was hoping she would. Taking a couple careful steps forward, Nirendra held her hands out so she can reach for Natalia. Her wings were unfolded behind her, so she can keep her balance as she walks.

"This is Sky-," Ceres said as she put a hand on her companions side, "-he is Natalia's father and my companion." Her cheeks were slightly flush at the very fact of calling him her companion. "I'm Ceres and this is Natalia." She motioned to herself and then to the little one stepping forward.

"Just a couple more steps little one," Sky said with a whickered and a flicker of his tail. He did not know how much attention Natalia was paying attention to noise now that there were other more exciting things in the room than what she was familiar with. He was consumed with Natalia to pay attention to introductions.

Natalia giggled, clapped her hands, and flickered her tail. She was making as much noise as possible because she wanted to make the others knew she was coming. She didn't know if they could see or not. "Nice to meet you," she squeaked in anticipation.

Tinania bows her head towards Skye, then chuckles "A pleasure to meet you to Sky." her eyes turn back towards Ceres "So I'm guessing you must be new to the clinic?" she found that each time she came here, a new child was running about the room. Not that she mind, as she found it was nice to meet other parents. Plus being a fairly new parent herself, she found it more interesting to see how other parents were like with their own children.

Seiji giggles before he lifts his head up off his mother's lap "Renny not speking yet." looking up at Ceres, he gives her a small wave. She was blond like his mother, so were they related? Looking back towards Nirendra he falls quiet as he watches the two girls interact.

Nirendra attention was once again drawn towards the tail, as it made noise once again. Looking back up towards Natalia, she couldn't help but giggle herself at her. She was already fun to be around, just for the fact her tail made noise. Standing in place, her hand stay out in front of her as she waits for Natalia to come closer.

"May I touch you," Natalia asked to no one certain person. "... I want to see you," she felt the need to add. After all it had to sound silly to anyone else that she wanted to touch so she could see. She flickered her tail again so it made noise. She realized the other delighted in the noise.

"Pleasure is ours," Ceres smiled. Her every movement was fluid like, ancient even if her age was finally catching up to her. "I wouldn't say new but I wouldn't say regular either," she said gently enough. "May we sit next to you... It is easier for us to watch Natalia that way."

Sky wasn't as fluid as Ceres, but his degree of equine did show through in his breathing, and his movement.

Tinania taps the ground next to her, then picks up Seiji to settle him in her lap "I don't mind at all, your daughter is beautiful by the way." running her fingers slowly through Seiji's hair, she finds she was deciding they could stay longer then she intended. It couldn't hurt, plus it gave the little ones a chance to make new friends.

Seiji remains quiet as his mother's fingers brush through his hair. After a couple minutes, his eyes fall close. He wasn't asleep, he was just really really relaxed. As his wing relax back against his back, his small hand curl then un curl against his mother's jeans.

Nirendra looks back towards Seiji, only to find her own voice wasn't awake. Frowning, she looks back towards Natalia trying to figure out how to say yes to her. With a small nod, she flexes her fingers hoping someone would realize she was okay with Natalia's request.

Ceres fluidly bent down next to Natalia. "Easy now," she said as she held out Natalia's hand and showed her Nirendra's face. "You two will learn to communicate in your own way. You don't see with your eyes and she doesn't speak with words." She was in no way offensive with her words.

Natalia nodded her head and flicked her tail. "Alright," she said as she felt her fingers touch the others cheek. "She could clap once for no, and twice for yes." She was thinking of this as if it was a game and she was having a lot of fun.

Sky moved closer but still kept a bit of distance. His eyes were flickering from one person to the next so that Ceres' never missed a beat. He did make himself seem warmer by smiling.

Make A Joyful Noise (Thread RP)

Parties involved in order of first appearance: Kawaii_Hime_Ceres, and Surion Rakamash.

----

Ceres said nestled in the corner with Sky and Natalia. Although, she had her bag opened wide it gave the appearance of being empty. She reached in and pulled out some toys for Natalia to play with. They were pretty much into themselves to noticed anyone else.

Surion steps into the GMFC building , and peers around, no cloak this day, but his ever-present dragonettes are resting on his shoulder, well until they notice Ceres and both jump or glide down almost a race to see which can reach her first... both in search of a treat which Ceres was so habitful of giving them. Surion on the other hand just watches, he was wearing his customary black jeans with the belts, but unlike the last time Ceres 'saw' him he was wearing a different shirt, it was mesh and short sleeved, and not as baggy. He also wore wristbands and a choker that were studded much like his belt, and as usual, the two necklaces he always wore, his magical concealment ring on one of them.

Ceres looked in the direction of the chittering of dragonettes and chuckled. "Hey there you two." She reached into her bag and pulled out a container of lunch meat. "You aren't here alone are you?"

Natalia was busy making lots of noise whether it was with her hands, her tail, or her toys. Two things were for certain she was happy, and entertained.

Both dragonettes hover rather close to the container in question anxious for her to open it neither of them quiet in this impatience.

"Are they ever," Surion chuckles as he sees the excitement of the pair, he turns and saunters towards Ceres and her daughter "Wow, Nat is growing," he grins.

"Well I hope they wouldn't be by themselves-" Ceres quickly opens the container and separates it in equal portions. "Here we go," she says as she sets it out for them.

"Like a weed," Sky chuckled as he shook something noisy in front of Natalia so that she would know where it was coming from. Instead of putting it down he waited for her to grab it.

"I'm a big girl!" Natalia squealed as she took the toy. She smacked it against her opposite palm so that it made a lot of noise. She liked noise and in large amounts.

Senti and Kuyl chitter noisily their thanks and then grow silent as they work to devour the treat.

Surion stops in front of the family and squats reaching to ruffle the little girl's hair. "That you are little lady, that you are," he smiles, and then looks at both of the parents. "How are the pair of you?" he inquires, never occurred to him that the last time either saw him he was still in Faerun, and wearing clothing from there. He was making no effort to hide the dozens of scars that littered his torso and arm plainly visible.

Ceres' cheeks grew hot when ever the topic turned them as a couple and not separate people. Even if she knew time was short she was still adjusting to it.

"Well enough-," Sky said when he noticed that Ceres seemed to have swallowed her words. It wasn't often he knew her to be like this but he wasn't about to say anything.

"I think I know your voice." Natalia said as she reached out to touch Surion's arm. "May I see you?" She asked as her fingers walking up the length of his arm. She wouldn't go further without permission.

"Well I suppose that's better then not at all" he blinks, a little confused why his friend didn't reply herself. Then he hears Natalia's question and he smiles, he was aware of the sight issue from what his friend had told him. "You most certainly may Nat" he says, still squatting so he was in plenty reach, the little girl would find Surion's long hair half covering his face as usual. "And yes you do know me, I met you when you were a baby, I'm Surion," he adds.

"Sky!" Ceres exclaimed as she nudged him. She couldn't believe the cut and dry answer he'd given and to boot it wasn't much of an answer at all. "Its just we've had a lot going on..." she said towards Surion as she kept an attentive eye on Natalia.

"Pleasure to meet you," Natalia smiles as she firmly places her hands on his arms. "Officially," she grins as she feels his muscles. She then takes in the mesh top, and soft locks of hair. "What color is your hair?" she asks she finally feels his face. "You have lips, a nose, and eyes-," she said feeling her own with her own hand, "-like me." She felt comforted by this. "What makes you different?" She asked out right not understand boundaries.

Surion chuckles at Ceres and Sky. "All is good," he replies as the dragonettes abandon the empty containers and climb into Cere's lap.

His attention returns to the child as her question comes up. "Well, in a lot of ways we are similar yes, but at the same time we are different, example, you are a girl, and I'm a boy... You have a different kind of wing then I do and a different kind of tail... I also have horns.. and this-," he gently guides her hand more up his face until her fingertips graze the surface of the gem imbedded in his forehead, "-and my hair is dark blue, with some silver streaks in it."

Ceres' touch to the dragonettes is gentle- almost like petting.

Natalia sighs softly and continues to feel about his face. "You are very pretty," she said with a grin. "My dad has blue hair, and my mom has silver streaks. My hair is blue." She curls her fingers in his hair. "Very soft..."

A soft rumbling purr emits from the dragonettes as they are 'petted'.

"Cant have everyone in this world the same can we," he smiles looking at the child. "Would get boring for people to see," he inwardly chuckled at her comments, she was definitely a sweet child.

"Different," Natalia mumbled. "Will you show me your horns?" She asked particular curious as to what they felt like. Though he said their wings and tails were different she knew what hers felt with so at the moment she was hardly concerned. "I want to know if they are like my brother and sisters..."

"Uhmm sorry sweety, that one... well, only my mate can touch my horns. But suffice to say... they are a lot like Cassara's.. I think I got that name right," he glances at sky and Ceres, they could compare the kids to him better then he could.

"Vlad," Ceres said with a chuckle. "They are a lot like your sister. Vlad. You know those two small ones on the top of her head. And their tails and wings will feel similar as well." She felt the need to add before Natalia went asking to touch to see every bit of Surion.

"Oh," Natalia said as she dropped her hands. "He is sensitive isn't he." She had made that assumption after being told no. "My siblings are like that but they are patient with me," she said as she went back to her noisy toys.

Sky wanted to hide his face. Was his family really that 'strange'. It was almost embarrassing on what Natalia picked up on and she couldn't see at all... He helped her find the toys.

"Erm" Surion blushed rather brightly at the child's declaration about him being sensitive.... He reached a hand into his pouch and pulled out a piece of parchment and a pen and quickly scribbled on it. Turning it to Sky he didn't want this child to know this....

It read:

Sensitive to touch.... they are a large part of my kind's.... intimate relations.

He left the parchment facing Sky only long enough for the other male to read it.

About this point the dragonettes become interested in the child and slip off Cere's lap and skitter over to her.

"Kids do the darnedest things..." Sky said still slightly embarrassed by Natalia's words. Thankfully her actions hadn't gone that direction.

"It's my wings..." He said offering something in return for the others openness towards him. He knew Natalia wouldn't pick up on it because she was interested in other things at the moment.

Natalia heard the chittering. "Are they touchable?" She asked in no certain direction.

Ceres noticed that the 'men' were occupied amongst themselves at the moment and scooted closer to Natalia. "Yes," she said as she took her daughters hands in her own. "Gently, like this."

Surion chuckles and nods, shifting his weight and then sitting down rather then squatting as he put the parchment back into his pouch. "That too, but not so much..." he let the sentence hang.

Senti pushes his little head into the palm of Natalia's hand chittering as he does.

Kuyl wanted the attention being given as well moving even closer to the child.

"We have quite a few differences," Sky said with a chuckle. His tail swished without a thought. He kept his focus divided so Ceres could continue to see what was going on around her.

Ceres helped Natalia use both her hands so that she could occupy both dragonettes and give them equal attention. "You have to be fair. You know what me and your daddy do between you and your siblings."

Natalia nodded her head and did as her mother instructed. "I like how they feel." She giggled.

"Well I would imagine we do, we aren't of the same background," he chuckles and watches from the corner of his eyes while he talked to Sky.

About this time the purring starts back up, and Senti stops nudging the palm of Nat's hand only to lick it with his little tongue.

"That tickles," Natalia giggles as she feels her fingers being tickled and hear their purr. "I take it that I am doing a good job." It was directed at her mother since her mother was helping her.

"Yes," Ceres whispered. Now that Natalia knew what she was doing Ceres could focus else where but still keep an eye out. "You two seem to be getting along." She mused aloud.

Surion grins looking from Sky to Ceres. "And should there be a reason we shouldn't be?" his grin had a mischievous look about it.

Kuyl stays put enjoying just the simple attention, Senti decides about now he wants a better perch and skitters up the childs arm onto her shoulder before nudging Nat's cheek with his little head and then giving it a little lick.

"So long as you don't convince him to scoot his 400 plus year old butt to my side of the bed I suppose not." She grinned as the blush crept across her face. She had contemplated getting THAT close to sky but she wasn't ready to... And, the bad thing was that she didn't have forever anymore. Not that she wanted forever.

There went another moment that Sky wanted to hide his face. He wasn't use to being able to being this open with Ceres around. Matter of fact Ceres being this open was different but in a good way.

"I think they want another treat mommy," Natalia chuckled trying to pay both equal attention.

"Aww would that be such a bad thing?" he teases and then chuckles leaning on a hand. He glances at the dragonettes "Hard to say Nat, they seem to simply be enjoying your attention"

"You sure about that... I ate a sandwich before we came." Natalia giggled thoroughly enjoying their attention as much as she was enjoying giving it. They were easy to play with.

"Can you really see us at our age..." Ceres said with a glance in his direction. Her hand moved to her bag. She made a lot of noise as she dug around in what appeared to be an empty bag.

"I've had more than my fair share so I am content to do what pleases Ceres," Sky said as he gently laid a hand on her shoulder. He smiled even though he knew Ceres couldn't see it.

"I cant even picture my mother and her ex... my father... so no not really," Surion bursts out laughing. He had a pleasent laugh so it shouldnt scare anyone. "Don't worry about giving them another treat, they are both spoiled enough as it is.

This earned Surion a momentary glare from both dragonettes, but only for a moment cause they were just plain too content getting the attention Nat was handing out.

"Okay," Ceres said as she instead pulled out another toy- it was just as noisy as the last. When it came to picking toys for Natalia she never picked out toys for their vibrant colors but instead picked ones that were extremely noisy.

Sky snorted. "I don't there is one young'n in existence that doesn't shiver at the very thought of their parents that particular moment..." He chuckled.

Natalia giggled as she continued to enjoy their attention and give attention to the dragonettes. But she also giggled because she heard her toys. "Do they like to play?"

Surion laughs loudly at Sky's reply "Weeeelllll it's not a matter of shivering... Cause I know plenty details, have known since I was a kid... It's just not as cut-throat dry and normal plain-jane as the normal couple" He looks over to Natalia and the dragonettes "They play but probably not in the same way you do.... I doubt they would argue playing with you though."

"I think our house knows more than it should," Sky chuckled. "But, it cannot be helped when you have so many kids..." He sighed soflty. "We equines do a lot of dancing, and 'fighting' before we even get the right to-" he left it at that because of Natalia being close.

Ceres cleared her throat. "I think that is more than enough of that conversation." She shook the noisy toy in front of Natalia. "You wish to continue please continue it away from Natalia... She certainly is far to young."

All Natalia could hear was the jingle of the toy. She took it from her mother and shook it to show the dragonettes. "It is fun," she said as she did it some more.

Surion laughs. "All right all right Ceres.... I'll stop..." he shakes his head and shifts his weight, the overhead lights catching on the studded accessories he wore. He felt at ease around these two, despite the fact Ceres couldn't physically see he knew she could see through her mate.

Kuyl lifts his head tipping it to one side curious of this new task Natalia had started.

Senti on the other hand chitters and scurries down Nat's arm to find another noisy toy which he picks up with his long tail and bangs on the ground.

Ceres was happier that the men were not discussing sex anymore. It was beginning to make her uneasy. Perhaps it was due to the fact she was still a virgin. "You seem happier," she smiled.

With that Sky focused his attention on Surion for the moment. He knew that the toys Natalia had were not breakable.

"You got it," Natalia said as she continue to make noise with the toys. She even flicked her tail so that it jingled. She giggled as she thoroughly enjoyed this.

Surion shrugged, "Don't know about happy, but I'm surviving for lack of any better term." He nods

Kuyl looks back and forth between the pair curiously he wasn't sure if he was gonna just jump in on this

Senti... hearing Nat's positive reinforcement only banged the toy harder against the floor.

"I just assumed because you are smiling more and you've dressed differently," Ceres said over the noise that her toddler and the dragonettes were making.

Natalia giggled and clapped her hands together making even more noise. "Fun, fun!" She chirped excitedly. "You two are really fun to play with!"

Sky watched them wishing he had some ear plugs. It wasn't this often that Natalia or any of the children got this noisy- arguing didn't count.

"What?... Oh!" he looks down at his attire. "Well... When in Gaia do as the Gaians," he laughs. "I wear the other style of clothing when I go visit mom in Faerun," he grins.

About this time Kuyl gives in and locates a toy for himself, which he picks up in his little jaw and smacks lightly against Nat's leg.

If the noise wasn't bad enough Senti was beginning to get excited and was loudly chittering with all the other noise he was making.

"Any closer to getting that girl," Ceres asked. "Our island doesn't have a dress code per say... But, with the weather always nice we prefer light weight clothing and as little as possible..."

Sky looked towards Ceres. "You'd better stop there before you embarrass yourself love." He chuckles and rests a hand on her hip.

Natalia squeals in pleasure and delight that her two new friends have joined in. "More noise!" She had a toy in each hand and was flicking her tail.

Surion laughs speaking over the noisy trio. "Well I cant say I"m that dressed down, I used to wear this for work, which I need to find more of soon... As for Nani.." he sighs and shakes his head if that was any indication of the answer. "I wish, I truly wish...."

"I'm sorry Surion," Ceres' voice was very heartfelt. "You know you could ask my son, Rhine... He can always use an extra hand." She smiled. Though she knew most of everything her children did via their choice she did not know that Rhine had chatted with Surion.

"This to me is far to much after having gone over 400 years wearing nothing-" Sky grinned. "But, I know that I need to wear something because of this body..."

Natalia continued to make as much noise as possible. She didn't grow breathless no matter how loud or how long she continued.

"I'll be ok... As for Rhine, he's a great guy and it looks like the diner he runs is nice, hell the food is good.... But I think I'll try for another dancing job first.. Or maybe I'll just open a club, I don't know, that would require finding the right staffing and a good DJ" he sighs

The more Nat seemed to like it the more Senti got into the playing, Kuyl was a lil more reserved often giving Senti a look that said 'what the hell you doing?'

"I should have guessed that with you being in Gaia you would meet my son." Ceres fished around in her bag. "There is only one stipulation to this-," she said as she pulled out a roll of hundreds. It was thick, and from glance uncountable. "You'll employ my daughter Aurora."

Natalia sat down the toys and took a couple breaths as she called herself down. "That was a lot of fun," she chirped and decided to pet them some more. She knew they liked that.

Even from behind his bangs it was obvious both of his brows raised noticably seeing the roll of bills "Wha...." Was Ceres just up and offering to help him start a business? This was NOT something the male expected at all, not in the least.

Senti didnt calm down, not right away at least, not till his companion Kuyl just about sat on him having dropped the toy at the first sign of the game ending.

Ceres put the money into Surions hand. "Aurora Dawn has business smarts as well as the ability to dance. I know her skill in violin won't help you out... But the rest of her will. And, I trust that with you perusing another person you will not bed my daughter." Her voice was thick and held a warning. She was generous but to a point. Money was one thing but her children were another. And, she knew that Aurora wore little, and appealed to many. Finally she smiled.

"You are like family," Sky said as he watched the transaction. Though today was really the first time that they had really talked he knew him from previous. Also, because Ceres' spoke often of him.

Natalia chuckled as the noise came to a sudden halt. She made sure to use both hands so that both of them got equal attention.

"You are sure about this Ceres? Sky?" He looked back and forth between them as his hand slowly closed around the bills. He did have a fair amount of money of his own, having had no bills except the car he'd bought for Nani which had been paid off before he had gone to Faerun. "And of course not, I'm not interested in other women in that manner... I have a mate... even if I dont have her completely, I won't take another."

The purring of the pair of dragonettes soon resumed, toys forgotten, luckily for the ears of hte others as Senti had been getting VERY loud.

"Very sure," Ceres smile with a smile. "If I wasn't you wouldn't have it in your hand." She chuckled as she leaned against Sky. She was getting on the tired side- her aging was to blame.

Sky nodded his head as he smiled and wrapped his arms around Ceres. In a way it was nice to finally be able to grow old together. It was just hard to adjust to after having lived so long.

"Mommy I want snack. Please." Natalia said as she continued to give them attention. It had been a while since lunch and she was starting to realize it now that she had calmed down.

Surion turned the roll over in his hand blinking a few times as it all registered. "Wow... thanks... Uhm, your daughter, I presume lives in your home?" He had to know how to contact the female.

The word 'snack' now that got BOTH of the dragonette's attention and dispite being petted both looked expectantly towards Ceres.

"She does technically live at home..." Ceres snorted at the thought of her daughter and her living arrangements. "Then again she still uses her window instead of the front door or the mirror. I don't know why she thinks she has to sneak out. She cat naps when ever the whim occurs."

Ceres took a moment to dig through her back once more. It was a good thing that it always had exactly what she needed. She pulled out two containers this time.

Sky had to bite his lip to hold in his laughter. Aurora Dawn was the wildest and flirtatious of the bunch. It was like that one black leaf- literary and figuratively. But she was loved.

Natalia was eager about the snack and held out her hands greedily.

Surion chuckles and pushes to stand, "Well I should probably get moving, I have a lot of research to do... Tell Aurora to meet me at your son's diner... We'll discuss details." He chose that location simply cause it was unlikely the girl WOULDN'T know where it was "Uhmm tomorrow around supper time, we can talk over supper..." He reaches down scooping the two dragonettes up much to their disappointment.

"Here take this," Ceres said as she held up the container. "I know they had their hopes up." She wanted to make sure they got it. She smiled. "Alright, I'll let her know." She handed the other container to Natalia after opening it.

"Good luck," Sky said not making a move to get up. He knew Ceres would let Natalia finish the snack before making any attempt to leave.

Natalia pouted. "Later..." She was slightly disappointed that her new friends were leaving.

"You'll see them again Nat, I'm sure" he smiles setting them on his shoulders before taking the container "Thanks.... And I'll be chatting with you guys soon again I'm certain" he put the money in his pouch and waved his goodbyes to the family and a ruffling of Nat's hair before heading out the door.

The Lost Returns: Arrival (AIM PRP)

Parties involved in order of first appearance: Kawaii_Hime_Ceres, and [ X_Bleeding Roses_X ].

----

It was fairly early in the morning and the sun hadn't risen yet- but, it was working on making an appearance. Rhine had the kitchen warming itself up to prepare for another day. While he waited on that and the employees to arrive he was busy checking over last nights close down. Though the Cafe' was not open yet the door was unlocked.

A figure moved slowly down the street swaying as she walked to her own tune. There wasn’t much to tell of them as they had swathed themselves in a long cloak that had a hood hiding there face in shadows. As they walked the sound of twinkling bells could be heard showing that underneath they must be wearing some and the clink of jewels was also heard. The figure appeared to have reached their destination, a café. The sign read closed but they disregarded this having expected that from such an early time. Testing the doorknob and finding it unlocked they entered and let the door slam shut behind them.

Rhine looked up from behind the counter when he heard the door shut. "It will half an hour before we open up officially. Go ahead and take a seat I can bring you a drink of your choice," he said with one of the most charming, pleasant smiles a person could have and get away with without it being considered fake.

The figure cocked their head to the side and gave a light chuckle reveling through the pitch for them to be a woman. “I’m not here for a drink Rhine, I’m here to ask where Cass is so I can tell her,” as she said this she unfastened her cloak to hang on a chair, “that I’m back.” the cloak now off she turned around to Rhine having turned away to put it down revealing a much changed Kaida. Her face was very thin with high cheek bones and large almond eyes that where a familiar cerulean with cat like pupils, they glittered with a mischievous light. Across her nose and cheeks where pale lilac scales imitating freckles that shined in obvious health. Her lips where curved into a small smile that caused the tips of her fangs to poke out. Reaching up she brushed a loose bit of silvery blonde hair had escaped from the tight bun it was in and swirling around her horn to fall in her face. She tucked the loose strand behind her pointed ears that still held the familiar three piercings. As she moved her wrists to do so she tinkled showing she still wore her bracelets expect the one Cassara gave her that was acting as an anklet. That brought attention to her attire which seemed to now match her mothers with the amount of leather in it, of course she had gone for white and Lilac instead of black and red and did not wear boots because of her clawed feet. Shifting slightly with out of nerves her wings flexed uneasily as her tail uncurled from around her waist.

Rhine tried his best not to let the shock show. Instead of dropping what he was hoping he gripped it tighter. Thankfully, though he did not break it. "You're a site to behold," he said not meaning it to go good or bad. "Cassara is-" Before he could continue he was distracted by a door closing... A different one this time.

"I'm sorry Rhine I couldn't wait for you to cook breakfast," Cassara managed to say despite the mouth full of a bacon. "Wish I hadn't gone because mom's having a morning," she shorted as she held the plate for Natalia. "Hope you don't mind extra help in the kitchen..." She grinned knowing Natalia, though blind, liked to get into everything. She loved things that made noise.

“Cass..?” Kaida called out with trepidation as she moved swiftly over to the staircase to see her, completely forgetting Rhine. As she reached them her anxiety grew to record heights. Kaida was very nervous about how Cass would receive her, after it had been over three years since they had last seen each other and then she had been more than a little insane.

Cassara's large, red ears swiveled causing the hoops to tink together. The large, unfitting white button up shirt was sloppily covering her frame. The three top buttons undone slightly revealing a white undershirt. The undershirt so thin it revealed her chest that was wrapped. Part of the problem to her upper half is that she was holding her sister. Her pants were pretty snug and sat well on her hips. Hips that she hated because it made it that much harder to hide her feminine frame. Thankfully though in the past few years, though still thin, she'd thickened up. Her already farily narrowed yellow eyes narrowed further. Her large black and red tail swung forward defensively protecting Natalia. She was defensive because she had yet to recognize her mates sent, not that she would after the time apart and the changes that had occurred. It was obvious though that she knew this person because this person knew her name. "Say your name or I won't hesitate to defend," she said venomously.

Kaida let out a chocked sound at the venomous words. She could understand not being recognized by scent or even looks but there was one thing that had not changed in the years and that was her voice and it hurt more than she liked to admit that Cass didn’t recognize her when her brother did. Stilling her movements she drew slightly into her self and with a voice that wavered way more then she would ever admit replied, “It’s me Cass, Kaida. I’m Back.”.

Cassara looked over the woman and shook her head. "Impossible. As long as she's been gone she's dead," she said it without another thought as she brushed past Kaida and headed towards Rhine.

Rhine gave Cassara only a look a brother could give a sister. "You're letting your defense get in the way of things again-," he said gently enough not wanting to start anything. He looked over Cassara's frame and towards Kaida. He tried to give her a quick apologetic smile at how his sister was reacting before his sister noticed. "Or, else you'd at least remember her voice and her movements."

Rhine quickly headed from behind the counter. "Let me take Natalia... It might make things easier."

Kaida stood there frozen as Cassara brushed pass her. Waahh- Dead!?! How can she- Why would she- GAH! thought Kaida as her emotions spiraled in chaos. Of all things she had thought of she had not thought this! Mamwa Rose said she had explained to Cass why so how could she possibly think so! “Ca.. Ca.. Cassara it is me! How… How could you possibly think me dead!” she exclaimed whirling around causing her various jewels- which Cass should have recognized- to tinkle against each other.

Having handed Natalia off to Rhine she turned and gave Kaida a good look over. "So you robbed a dead woman and managed to put on a good act," she snorted. "Anyone could fool my brother. Bravo!" She applauded the girl. "Because the one thing you got wrong is that my mate wouldn't have left me for this long without so much as a word. Not even her mother has spoken to me in nearly three years... For all I know she's gone and found a way to off herself." She crossed her arms and narrowed her eyes further.

Seeing as there wasn't any reasoning with his sister and that this looked like it could turn nasty before it got better Rhine headed to the kitchen after locking the Cafe doors... The last thing he needed was for his sisters stupidity to scare off any business that came through the door.

Oh. That was it. Screw devastated. Kaida emotions took a complete turn to furious. Suicide! Mamwa Rose would never! She already knew the horrors of hell having been there and she wanted no repeat performance, and Cass knew this! So to even suggest Mamwa would do so- unforgivable. “HOW DARE YOU! CASSARA YOU BLOODY WELL KNOW MAMWA WOULD NEVER, EVER, EVER, COMMIT SUCIDE! YOU UTTER b*****d SHE’S TOLD YOU ABOUT HOW THE SPIRITUAL PLANES ARE TO HER AFTER VICKY! SO TO EVEN CONTEMPLATE SHE FOUND A WAY TO RE-KILL HERSELF IS… IS… ARGH!?” Kaida bellowed our at Cassara channeling her rage cause a small amount of smoke to escape her mouth as she nearly breathed fire at her reduced to an inarticulate scream at the end.

"b*****d," Cassara spat back with a chuckle. She was fired up but she wouldn't let it show. She had better ways of voicing displeasure without having to raise her voice all that much. "I'm glad you know what I am." A smug grin made its appearance. "And, like I said you put on a damn good performance. But you haven't told me one thing yet that no one else couldn't possibly know about me."

"Rhine's got a business to run," Cassara said as a final note. She unlocked the door and brushed past Kaida once more. "As do I, and it certainly isn't going to be looking like this..." She was already up a couple of the stairs. Her tail swayed effortlessly behind her, but it was keeping her balanced- only a trained eye would know that, or another with a tail.

Kaida did a triple take. Did Cass not listen!?! In the same sentence she had referred to Rose as Mamwa, which no one else did and mentioned Vicky! Not even Ceres knew of Vicky! “Have you lost the use of your ears or have you become exceptionally thick in the intervening years! If there is no further proof than what I just mentioned, Vicky, Victor, Lily AKA The Mother ******** Who Raped You And Stole Your Soul Whom You Never Even Mentioned To Your Mother then I don’t know what there is!” Kaida whispered furiously as Cass passed her again- Way pass screaming which in anyone that knew her wound set off alarm bells in there head. Stalking after her she yanked on Cassara’s tail to pull her away from the stairs- She was not getting away from her that easily!

Something run up Cassara's spine and through her. It wasn't the touch of Kaida that had done it. It was her words. It had to be Kaida. It just had to be. She wasn't willing to believe that an actor could have been that good even if the information had been sucked from her. As quickly as she spun around she had to control her tail from not smacking the s**t out of Kaida... Although at this point she felt that the other deserved it. "Airing my laundry is inexcusable," she hissed as she picked up Kaida and slung her over her should haphazardly. "I can see I need to deal with you," she said as she marched up the stairs.

Kaida let out a small shriek as she was lifted up and swung on a shoulder. Struggling to get down she used her wings and tail to swing at Cass hoping to unbalance her. “Let. Me. Down! It was the only way to get into your skull who I am seeing as you’re so thick not to believe it was me despite proof, you brought it on yourself- beside it’s not like anyone would have heard me. Now let go or I’ll bite!” Kaida said curling up and around to bring her mouth next to Cassara’s neck.

"Go ahead and bite I like rough sex-," Cassara snorted. Although, she hadn't had sex in years... Not since Lilly-Vicky-Victor person ordeal. And, then she'd gotten close to Kaida and saw no reason to peruse anyone else not even for means of physical contact. She coudl wait. For some reason she had still been waiting even if she thought the other was dead. After punching in a ridiculously long pin number the door gave a clink saying it was unlocked. Her bedroom was just off to the left opposite the kitchen. She through Kaida onto the bed. "Happy now? I put you down." She snickered.

Kaida hissed though her teeth. Cass was mocking her! And disregarding her bite! Which she used to drink blood! Gods did Cass forget WHY she went away! Kaida let out a little oof as she was dumped on the bed glaring at Cass. “What in the name of all that is holy has gotten into you Cassara! I know you’ve got a temper but this is- is- RIDICULOUS!” Kaida asked propping herself up and practically hissing the last word.

Even though their 'appartment' was empty Cassara felt the need to close the bedroom door. "My sister doesn't need to know half of what you were spitting out of your mouth. She may not have site but she's got a voice," she said with a soft sigh. Now that she was more than certain this was Kaida she felt more at ease. She leaned against the door and studied the other that was on the bed. "And, last I recall... I've always been on the ridiculous side when it came to you," she said it more casually than she should have as she reach up to rub the tip of her ear.

Kaida’s ire crashed at the mention of a sister. She hadn’t even noticed anyone once Cass was in the same room but thinking back she remembered a girl- and a young one. Gods! How embarrassing! I can’t believe I said words like that in front of someone so young! she thought, mortified her cheeks heated up as she blushed. Ducking her head in the hope Cass didn’t notice she gave a tiny giggle when Cass brought up her attitude around her. It was right they seemed to bring out their ridiculous sides. “Yeah I guess you’re right.” Kaida said with a sigh at the end feeling tired after such an emotional morning – especially when she was usually asleep now.

"We'll call it even considering we were both pretty much asses down stairs for one reason or another." Cassara finally left the door and headed towards her bed. She slowly crawled to the center from the foot of the bed. She didn't make any motions to lay next to Kaida or touch her... She wasn't going to act like a spider drawn to a fly. She chuckled when she saw the blush and it made her think back to the innocent version of Kaida that had gotten left behind.

“Yeah I guess we can.” Kaida said with a bit of mirth back in her voice. Her head jerked up when she felt the bed dip as Cass crawled on the bed. This just caused her to blush harder. Dang it! Where’s all my bravado gone I was so confident when I walked in! She’s managed to reduce me back to when I was still just a dragon! Kaida thought making her pout a little. Searching for something to get her mind off her lack of nerve she spoke up, “So… Ah… Judging by the whole sister thing I guess a lot more has gone on here than it has for me… care to tell?”.

"Sky took on the form of a human so that he and my mother could do in vitro fertilization and have a child together... That is who I was holding earlier." Cassara said with a voice filled with boredom. "Rhine's busy getting his tail in trouble with mother because he's got involved with a woman whose engaged... And, so suddenly after his divorce might I add." She yawned suddenly feeling tired all over again despite having just gotten up. Her tail curled around her. "I haven't gotten my nose into anything since you've been gone..."

“Weehh Sky as in that Pegasus? How did THAT happen?” Kaida said looking at Cassara in surprise. “And divorce when did this happen! How could Rhine do that and whose this woman she should know better if she’s engaged!” She said her voice going higher as she got more and more surprised. Eyes wide Kaida flopped on her back head tilted to get an upside down view of Cassara. “This totally beats we got up to! Sorta.” she said with the last part mumbled. Kaida had to stifle a yawn once Cassara did and curled up before flipping around onto her stomached to get more comfortable.

"My mothers will is strong... That is all I will say. And, yes Sky the Pegasus. They share a bed but not each other although he no longer goes out to mate mares..." Cassara sighed as she stretched out her hand. But she pulled it back before she touched Kaida. She wouldn't be content for long to just watch. "And, Rhine... Well it just ended. Jasmine said there just wasn't anything between them anymore... And you know Rhine... He's a charmer."

Kaida made a neutral Hmmm noise to the reply to her questions about Sky. “Really? They seemed so perfect for each other when I left- ah well time does that. Though I’ve never thought your brother a charmer- too much of a big brother figure for me I suppose. Been like that since I first met him.” Kaida said with a sad tone when she spoke about time. “But you truly didn’t get into any trouble I find that hard to believe Cass.” Kaida said with a smirk and a teasing tone of voice.

"Life has been pretty fairly mundane," Cassara sighed as she took a deep breath. "I get up, I take a shower, I go down stairs... Help Rhine in the kitchen best I can. We eat breakfast together. Then we bust our asses through out the day taking care of the Cafe. Noon and Evening I play a performance downstairs... Occasionally on the weekends I'll perform at the concert all." She smiled gently enough. "In the evenings we take a long enough break to eat dinner at moms... At the end of the day I shower, and lay in the bed... Nearly crying myself to sleep because you're not around."

Kaida smiled as Cass talked to her about such a peaceful and normal life but when she got to the last part, about crying to sleep, she let out a soft gasp and looked at her with wide apologetic eyes. “I’m sorry Cass but Mamwa told you why, didn’t she? After the turning settled and she took me home I was insane. Vampric and Dragonic instincts don’t mesh. At all. I attacked anyone that got near me trying to drain them. Mamwa was the only safe one, so I had to leave so I didn’t hurt you.” Kaida whispered mournfully as her eyes gained a shine of tears, she hadn’t meant to hurt her Cass- only protect her!

"After that incident you were the only reason I wanted to live," Cassara said as she dug her fingers into the bed linens and twisted them so that she wouldn't touch Kaida. "I couldn't end my life with you gone so long as I was still able to cry for you becuase some where even if I felt you were dead I had hope..." She sighed at how shameful, silly, stupid even it sounded. "Death does not frighten me Kaida, nor does pain. I know you did what was best but I would rather have had the chance to try just to be around you." She shut her eyes tight trying not to cry... "Now I don't even know your scent, your touch... Anything to recognize you as you... Not even your voice or your step as Rhine pointed out." She bit her lip causing herself to bleed. She was angry with herself.

Kaida didn’t know what to say. How does one reply to that? Seeing Cassara near tears she scuttled up and hugged her to her chest. “When Mamwa took me away and… and… I couldn’t think with my mind going everywhere she’d just say ‘What about Cassara? Are you going to give up and leave her?’ and that’s what got me grounded made me sane again was the thought that you’d be safe and alive and there if I could just control my instincts. So… So even if you can’t recognize me now I’m here for good so you can get to know that stuff! Yeah!” she said with her voice going breathless at the end as she too blinked her eyes rapidly to try and not to cry- as well as to distract her self from the scent of blood.

"But at the end of the day, the night, the whatever my bed will be empty because you will go to her and not me. You choose eternity for your mother... not me." Cassara sighed softly as she looked into the others eyes. Now that she was being touched it was hard not to touch. Her arms wrapped instinctively around the other. She made it so their noses were touching.

Kaida stilled as Cass brought up what really seemed to be the problem. She tried, she really did but when Cass brought it up like that she just couldn’t help it, so she laughed, hysterically. “Oh Cass! You couldn’t be more wrong! My mother’s great but if I always wanted to be around her I wouldn’t have come back to Barton, I would have stayed in the country side! I came for you and only you.” she said smiling at her and nuzzling her nose to Cass’s. But then she stopped and her eyes saddened as she shifted away a bit looking down a nibbling her lip, “I just didn’t know how you would receive me.”.

"I never stopped loving you-," Cassara said breathlessly. She looked to the closed door when she heard the door to their apartment close not once but twice. She focused again on Kaida. She didn't worry because not everyone had a code to get into the house. "My bed has plenty of room... As does this apartment. I can assure you of that." She chuckled as she licked Kaida's lips. "Just don't ever leave me again."

Kaida snapped her head back around to Cassara when she said she never stopped loving her and the tension just melted from her frame as a smile threatened to split her face. “And I never stopped loving you Cass and if you’re sure then I would gladly stay here. You don’t have to worry about me leaving ever again, I’ve got eternity and there’s no where I’d rather be.” Kaida said with her happiness at the situation coloring her voice. Leaning forward she returned the favor and licked Cass’s lips, taking off the dried blood as she did so.

"Bout time I had someone to help me in giving my brother hell and a few sleepless night-," Cassara grinned, "-payback." She came close to a purr when she felt the others tongue on her lips. It had been a long time. She almost felt new at this. She pulled Kaida impossibly close as she tangle her fingers in the other's hair. She was happy for the moment to enjoy the closeness... That moment that to her was perfect. She had forgotten she was suppose to be working...

Kaida let out a mischievous giggle that resounded trouble for Rhine when Cass mentioned payback. Sighing contently as Cassara pulled her closer joining in with her purr and just basking in the warmth. But she knew they had to get up and out, if she was to move in here as Cass wanted she needed to get her stuff and wasn’t Cassara supposed to be at work…? “Come on Cass I’ve got to go get my stuff from home and you where working when I came in, although if you don’t feel like it you can come help me pack to get it done quicker.” Kaida said with a forlorn sigh as she pulled away and dragged them off the bed and towards the door.

"Hey, I didn't even get to kiss you-" Cassara said as she pulled from the soft glow of her lover. She couldn't help but to pout. "I'm not going to tackle you simply because there are customers down stairs and I doubt they want to hear us banging around..." She looks wide eyed at Kaida. "Work-s**t!" Her tail slapped the ground more solidly than she probably should have let it. "Well, Rhine can cover for me... I've covered for his a** before so he owes me." She grinned.

“Oh how considerate of you!” Kaida said with sarcasm as Cassara pouted. “Come on if his going to cover you then you best tell him, beside I need to get back into shelter before midday so we don’t have that long to get to my house.” Kaida said dragging Cassara behind her and down into the café before looking around for Rhine, scooping up her cloak as she passed it.

Cassara dragged Kaida to the bathroom. She bent over to check for shoes in the stalls. "Love-," she chuckled, "have you forgotten?" She pulled a mirror out from her back pocket. "You have a mirror at your house I presume..."

Kaida made a squeak of protest as she was dragged into the bathroom. When Cassara asked about the mirror it took a second for her mind to catch up. She blushed right to the roots of her hair at having forgotten something so simply as the mirrors; time really had made her absentminded. “Ah yes of course! There’s one right in the foyer, little one on a shelf.” she said with a sheepish grin.

"Can you picture it..." Cassara said. "Because I don't want to accidentally take us to where you use to live, or some other whacked out place..." As she spoke excitement fill her. Her mate was back, and wasn't leaving her. It was permanent. She wrapped her arms around Kaida. "Just focus, and once you've got it in your mind just touch the glass..."

“No problem!” Kaida said with a grin wrapping one of her arms around Cassara before imaging the mirror and reaching out to touch the one in Cassara's hand.. And as they disappeared her main thought was Bugger! We forgot to inform Rhine that his on his own today!

The Lost Returns: I Can Wait (AIM PRP)

Parties involved in order of first appearance: [ X_Bleeding Roses_X ], and Kawaii_Hime_Ceres.

----

“Oh! I can’t believe I forgot how fun that was!” Kaida laughed dusting herself as she disentangled from Cassara. “It probably didn’t help the mirrors up so high.” She commented giggling as she held out her hand to help Cassara up. “Come on! It shouldn’t take too long only Mamwa has bothered to unpack since we moved back in. My stuff is still in boxes.” Kaida told her cheerfully pulling Cassara away from the shelf by the front door and past the two staircases, one which had a gate with runes inscribed across it to stop access, and into the hall. Despite her upbeat attitude there was a surrounding presences of sadness in the house.

"You're easily excitable," Cassara chuckled. "And, normally the placement of the mirror doesn't mater... After a time we learn where to appear." She stuck her tongue out playfully. She got a quick glance of her surroundings as she was led. "You must have known you wanted to live with me." She said after hearing that Kaida never unpacked.

“Aa, I’m just happy that everything is working out!” Kaida said with a wide grin. When Cassara poked her tongue out at her she returned the favor and then giggled at how childish they where being. “Well I’d hoped you wouldn’t mind and if you hadn’t I was going to move closer anyway, no way was I staying on the other side of town!” Kaida said winking at Cassara playfully as she finished. Arriving at the end of the hall she ignored the doors in front and to the right and threw open the one on the left. “Ta Da! Here it is!” she said letting go of Cassara’s hand to spread her arms wide in a showy way of the room. It was very plain with beige walls and basic wood flooring boxes scatted around, some open some not. The only item in the room was a four poster bed with thick curtains pulled round it. “Hmmm what to take… what to take…” Kaida mumbled to herself as she turned around and started rummaging around boxes.

Cassara chuckled at how showy and flashy her mate could be. It was a very nice change indeed to have her around. She was light spirited and that was exactly she she needed knowing she had become so up tight. She strolled over to the bed and sat on the corner. She watched as Kaida poked around in box after box. "We aren't confined to just my room... The apartment has a couple extra rooms... It is just we never use them because me and him don't really like to spread out." She smiled. "So, if you want to take it all that's fine... We can unpack it slowly and just store it in the mean time."

“That’ll be great! But I still need to sort this stuff, not all of it’s mine, Rose just dumped it all on me since I told her I wouldn’t be here long.” Kaida said opening one of the boxes which she only opened for a second before re-closing it with a sad sigh and grabbing a marker from a near by box and marking it ‘Lilith’ and pushing the box off to the side.

"Something the mater love?" Cassara questioned as she watched Kaida open and close the box with a sigh. The glance into the box didn't even take her mate but a couple seconds. She leaned back on the bed propped by her elbows. She had never changed or straightened herself so she was pretty much still disheveled.

“Hmmm, it’s just sad to come across these boxes and to have to seal them.” Kaida said giving a frustrated sigh as she found a much smaller box which she also closed up and labeled ‘Lilith’. “I mean it never even got to be used so it doesn’t seem right to lock this all up.” She continued, it didn’t even occur to her the Cass probably didn’t know what she was referring too seeing as it had pretty much been just her and Mamwa so she was used to whomever she was talking too knowing.

"You've lost me love-." Cassara said as she moved her tail and it fell off the edge of the bed with a rather loud thunk. She shifted slightly so she could continue to watch Kaida but didn't make any attempts to reposition her tail. "Is there something you need to tell me?"

“Wha? Oh! Right, heh slipped my mind for a second that you didn’t know.” Kaida said setting down the box and moving towards the bed to sit down next to her. “Lilith was meant to be my little sister. She was a paintling which are these human souls trapped in paint that you can bring back to life, there’s this whole complicated story to ‘em that Mamwa has somewhere. Mamwa found her tub in Durem during the new year after we arrived. She’d gone in for supplies and she tripped over it into the trash. Cheeky thing made her chase it right to the store front of Taranis Painter where she found out what it was and got the water to reanimate her. Mamwa even had a portal to Leralonde home set up for us, even though we didn’t live there. But then one day Mamwa opened the portal and Leralonde was just not there. The thing was Lilith was on that side of the portal seeing as she hadn’t emerged yet and Mamwa thought being close to home magic’s would help. We’ve never been able to connect again.” Kaida recited with a sad sigh at the end as her eyes clouded over from the memories.

Cassara patted Kaida on her thigh and smiled positively for her in hopes to lighten her up a bit. "Some things just aren't meant to be..." Her eyes never lead Kaida's, but they did occasionally narrowed out of habit. It happened most when her ears swiveled and flickered. She was always expecting something even if she didn't know what to expect or have a reason. "Eventually another opportunity will come along," she finally said after a few moments of silence. She was trying to be supportive.

“Thanks Cass.” Kaida said with a small smile on her lips giving Cassara a quick hug. “Come on there’s only one more box of hers in here and the rest is mine, just got to find it.” Kaida said springing back up and into her energetic self again. “It’ll be easy to identify! Just look for the baby stuff!” she said hopping to a box and opening it.

Cassara pushed herself into a sitting position causing her shirt to gather on just one side. It exposed her shoulder, and her bound chest. It didn't phase her because she really wasn't pay attention. "Baby stuff-," she said with an uncertain stuff, "the stuff we certainly don't need..."

“Well it’s not like there are any babies around, though as you said I may one day get a little sis.” Kaida said happily closing the box having checked it and turned around to pull Cass up so she would help when she froze. “Oh my…” Kaida mumbled eyeing the bound chest and wincing. That had to hurt.

"You know Kaida... I have seven siblings. More than plenty to go around." Cassara chuckled but it wasn't long lived. "Oh my... What?" Her eyes settled once more on Kaida's. She was a little unsure though what to say because of the dirrection they were going. Kaida knew she was a woman and had breasts... They were just hidden a good portion of the time. So what was so shocking about that?

Kaida nibbled her lip swiftly walking over and kneeling in front of Cassara and examining the bandages closely. “Doesn’t that hurt? Or hell, impede your breathing?” Kaida asked with a worried look comparing the bandages to a corset.

"It is so everyday that it doesn't phase me..." Cassara said still studying Kaida's reactions and movements. "I've actually done this since I got a human form... There A's anyways... Fairly easy to hide. Lilly-" And, that last word made her stop talking all together... It actually caused her to freeze, and turn a bit pale.

Kaida considered Cassara’s words as she talked and relaxed a bit. As long as they didn’t cause her harm she didn’t care about it. When Cass froze she blinked for a second wondering what was wrong. In their screaming match before she’d mentioned Lily plenty so what was the matter? Maybe it was that she herself had said the name now? Rocking forward on to her toes to get better balance before taking Cass’s hands in her own. “Cassara?” she asked questionably in a quite voice, eyes showing her concern.

Cassara blinked a couple of times and focused on Kaida again. "Oh, um... Well Lilly alwasy thought it looked painful. I was remembering how she sue to touch me... And well... It made me think about things that don't need to be thought about." Not that she said it but she was referring nothing to sex with Lilly when she mean nothing to think about. She was referring to the fact of Vlad raping her. She sighed and put her hand onto of Kaida's that was already on the other.

“Well banish the thought that’s all gone and done.” Kaida said squeezing Cassara’s hand in a reassuring manor. “So you have siblings that would need baby stuff? Why don’t you sort through those boxes then for what they would and would not like then.” Kaida said smiling and using there intertwined hands to pull them both up.

"That is my mother's department. The youngest is Natalia..." Cassara grinned as she felt the fingers intertwine. She gave a low purr and a wicked grin that could suit only her. "And, unless my mother actually manages to get past her insecurities and have sex with Sky then I don't think we'll have any other youngsters around... Because Ayisha and Masika said their twins is plenty. But, like I said you never know. Not that I want any kids..."

Kaida blushed slightly at the smirk on Cassara’s face and even harder at her words but when Cassara mentioned not wanting kids the blush left her face and a small frown appeared. “Oh? And why would you not one day want kids…?” Kaida questioned with a hidden amount of threat in her voice.

"Because I am most certainly not going to push any damn brat out of my crotch," though it was harsh there was mirth in her voice. "And, really... Until Natalia is grown I just don't think I could handle it... My mother won't be around for much longer..."

When Cassara explained why the frown left Kaida’s face immediately and a small smirk played her lips but when she mentioned Ceres not being around much longer her eyes widened in shock. “What…? Why wouldn’t your mother be around much longer?” she inquired confused. Kaida had never really got to know Ceres; that was what Rose did.

"My mother and Sky use to both have forever... But, then my mother gave birth to a child. Unlike the rest of us- Natalia is of her flesh and blood. Once Natalia is of age to take the mirror, and control her will my mothers job is finished... And, she can finally rest." She sighed as she moved away from Kaida to open some random box. "It is what she wants... And, Sky as well. Neither was meant to live this long." She smiled despite the pain of knowing she'd loose her mother.

“Ooh.” Kaida said with an understanding nod. If Mamwa ever made her wings white again she’d already told Kaida she wouldn’t hesitate to move on. Of course she had no clue how Cassara must feel about her mother dying, especially seeing as Rose was technically already dead. “Well everyone has a time, and I’m sure they’ll both get into heavenly plane.” Kaida said with a soft smile.

"Kaida you do know my mother... In part is a Celestial Maiden." Cassara said it softly enough that it hid her pain. She didn't let her eyes give it away either. She continued to open box and box. "She admits it easily that her 450 years of existence is catch up to her... That is why we all help out with Natalia." She sighed. "Lets get this over with..." She motioned to yet another box that wasn't baby related.

Kaida chuckled sheepishly putting her hand on the back of her neck in a nervous gesture. “Wasn’t ever really paying attention I was always chasing after you not talking to you’re mum.” she admitted feeling oddly guilty now. She’d never considered back then not having time to get to know Ceres later.

Rose hummed softly under her breath as she finished up the potion and placed the materials back on the shelf as she left it to cool. Exiting her lab on the second level and going down the stairs before opening the rune gate and heading towards Kaida’s room. The houses innate magic had informed her she was back with a guest, whom Rose supposed was Cassara. She’d only not come down because if she left at that moment she would have blown up the house. Opening the door she froze in shock, blinking slowly. “What is going on here?” she questioned menacingly taking in their appearance. Kaida’s hair was ruffled coming free from her bun with her vest wrinkled and her pants hanging low on her hips whilst Cassara had her shirt half off with her hair terribly messed. With them standing right in front of each other it was easy to get the wrong idea.

"I had issues with my sister this morning..." Cassara said with a guilty grin despite the fact that she was telling the truth. "You see blind toddler plus breakfast equals disaster... Didn't help much that Kaida and me had a yelling match..." She thought for a moment. Really the yelling hadn't undressed her it was the hand gestures... So yeah that worked. "Then we tumbled through a mirror... One of my worst landings yet. And, now we are looking through boxes." She motioned to the boxes. "I can assure you that your daughters still a virgin... Even if she has been in my bed once today already... And in her's to for that mater." She didn't know what it was that was causing her to ramble, but she was sure some of it surely didn't need to be said. "So," she said pulling her shirt to, "how's life?"

Kaida just blinked in shock, blushing to her roots when she caught onto her mother’s train of thought. She thanked to high heaven that Cassara was explaining since she didn’t think she could do more than stutter so she just nodded her agreement.

“Oh? That all?” Rose asked lifting one eyebrow and using the patented ‘Really.’ voice all mother’s had to make children squirm. “Life’s been fine for me Cassara. How’s it been for you?” she replied with an amused smile on her face as she eyed her daughter’s total incoherency.

"I eat, I sleep, I work my tail off... In between I do as all my siblings do... Help raise our sister." Cassara smiled as politely as she could. "And-," she chuckled, "-that voice won't make me squirm... I tell my mother everything." She had to add it becuase she noticed how Kaida was acting. "She's just got butterflies because she knows that when we finishing moving her stuff to my place that I'm going to propose her... That is if I have your permission. And, don't tell give me the lecture about time because it won't change my mind..." Her eyes settled on Rose, and she held her smile.

Kaida froze when Cassara said she would propose to her before her face split into a grin that went from ear to ear as she let loose a happy purr. “Of course she won’t mind will you Mother.” Kaida said in a falsely sweet voice that hid a promise of pain if Rose did not comply in it.

Rose’s eyes softened as Cassara talked and as she was about to reply with an affirmative to permission Kaida started to talk. She knew that tone and dear lord she called her Mother. She was getting out of her those two things where never good together. “Of course! How could I deny! Well it was nice to see you again Cassara dear and Kaida remember to visit once a week at least! But alas I have to run I left a potion in the lab, bye sweet heart.” Rose said in one breath before smiling sweetly and backing the hell out of there.

Cassara watched as Kaida had a way with her mother. As funny as it may have been she dared not laugh. "I visit my mother at least once a day..." she chuckled. She knew Rose probably didn't hear her but that was alright. She'd find out later that she wouldn't let Kaida stay away from her mother for long.

Cassara looked away from the door and back at Kaida. "So, then... Are we all set?" She was purposely avoiding further talk of proposing to Kaida. She did want to leave a few things to her lover's imagination.

Kaida felt as if she was on cloud nine and even though she could tell Cassara was now purposely dodging the question she’d let it be. “Yup! Come on! I really need to get some sleep I’m usually nocturnal. Suppose I’ll have to get out of the habit.” She said with a small yawn hoisting boxes into her arms.

Cassara shook her head, "You really are strange sometimes..." She sat the mirror on the floor. With seven kids using mirrors it was bound to happen that they all found extra uses for them... Things that one didn't think that could be done but could. Of course they each shared with one another. She picked up a box and focused a good bit and then sat it on the mirror. It didn't take but a second for the box to disappear.

“Me! Strange! Pffft. It’s everyone else that is strange!” Kaida declared dramatically holding her hand to her heart as she placed the boxes next to Cassara as she seemed to be dealing with them.

Cassara grinned as they started a pass the box train. Kaida would hand her a box and she'd send it through the mirror. In no time, with the exception of baby boxes, the room was empty. "Time for you and me..."

Kaida just nodded looking around the room a final time to make sure they hadn’t missed anything. Satisfied that everything was through she hooked her arm through Cassara’s and raised her eyebrow in a ‘Well?’ gesture.

Cassara picked up her mirror, and then hooked her arm in Kaida's. She didn't need a second though about where she was going. And in less than a blink of the eye they were back in the apartment. But instead of the bed room they were in the bathroom. She was sitting on the ledge of the sink... She knew though that Kaida wouldn't have been so lucky in her transition.

“Ack!” Kaida yelled as she slipped off the edge of the ledge of the sink she had appeared on and feel on her butt. She gave out a disgruntled huff as she caught Cassara sitting perfectly fine on the sink.

"I told you it gets easier with use..." Cassara chuckled and carefully slid off the sink. She helped Kaida to her feet. "I don't know about you but I could go for a shower after all that lifting and sweating... And besides didn't you mention you needed sleep." Though she wasn't tired enough to rest the days worth, she was tired enough to take a nap.

“Mmm shower and then to bed sounds perfect.” Kaida replied with a roll on the ‘per’ of perfect as she gave a playful smirk.

"So, tell me Kaida... When you were alone did you ever think of me?" Cassara asked openly. Her attention wasn't focused on her mate it was focused on her shirt. It was fairly easy to undo having only done a couple buttons this morning.

“Of course I thought of you whilst I was away.” Kaida said with a smile as she pulled at the straps on her vest to take it off. “Did you?” She asked getting the last strap undone.

Cassara chuckled a little heavier than she probably should have. She just smiled as to not make Kaida blush- as much as she loved to watch her mate blush she did not want to make her uncomfortable. She unfastened her pants and let them fall to the floor. It was made obvious she didn't wear panties. The only thing remaining was her chest wrap.

Kaida looked up from her fiddling as Cassara chuckled and noticing her state of dress ducked her head and made stuttering ‘aa’ sounds before turning around so her back was to Cassara so she could finish getting undressed without making a complete fool with herself.

Cassara hadn't unbound her chest when she decided to take a couple steps forward (the bathroom wasn't that big, but was big enough to accommodate two occupants). Her arms wrapped around Kaida's frame and in no time her fingers fount the things that fastened her clothes. "Don't be embarrassed," she whispered.

Kaida gave a small squeak as Cassara came up behind her. Swatting Cassara’s hands away she turned around and put her hands on her hips. “I’m not embarrassed! Now let me finish getting undressed whilst you can turn on the shower.” She said and with a huff turned back around and pulled her top over her head discarding it to the pile of clothes.

Cassara lost her breath but quickly found it. She didn't want to look hurt in the least by that last bit. Not saying a word she sat on the edge of the tub and turned both shower heads on (on on each end of the shower). She made no attempts to unbind herself as she waited for the water to warm.

Kaida shimmied out of her pants and pulled off her various pieces of jewelry before undoing her hair and letting it fall to mid back. Because of the shape of her shirt she wasn’t wearing a bra and there was no way to wear panties under leather pants so now nude she steeled her nerves and turned around. Eying the bandages she moved forward towards Cassara and in a softly reprimanding voice said “Cass unless you want soggy bandages you have to unwrap them.”.

Cass had been in somewhat of a thought invoked trance. She talked her head and looked at Kaida, but it wasn't really looking. She then simply nodded her head. First she undid her hair. It was still fairly tapered, but it fanned a bit now that it was undone. She then undid the clip on the side of her binding. She took her time because she folded it as she undid it. With as long as Kaida had been gone she would have not know about her n****e piercings.

Kaida froze as Cassara unwrapped and reveled them. n****e piercings. Letting out a gasp she winced internally. Yeh Gods was Cassara a closet masochist, fist binding and now n****e piercing. That had to have been extremely painful to get done.

As Cassara ran her fingers through her hair she slowly stood up. She hadn't said a word, or made any real move since that one incident. Frankly, she seemed lost in herself. Just enough of herself there to be present. She pulled the curtain open for them and stepped into the shower.

Kaida frowned as she noticed Cassara’s distant behavior. What had happened to suddenly cause the change in mood? Shrugging inwardly she followed Cassara into the shower and gave a happy sigh at the warm spray.

Cassara's eyes settled on Kaida. She purposly didn't look her mate over... She didn't want to start anything. "You are pretty," she said as she smiled boldly and didn't let her voice waver in the slightest.

“Thanks Cass. I’d return the complement but it’s a too girly word for you.” Kaida replied with a soft smile as she ran her finger’s through her hair to make sure it all got wet.

Cassara chuckled as she reached forward to take hold of Kaida's hand. "For you I'd allow those words to be used." She slowly pulled Kaida towards herself. "Just a warning when you put Rhine and myself together we do some pretty crazy things... Frankly I am surprised the house and cafe is still standing."

Kaida felt a warm sensation go through her heart when Cassara said that for she knew she didn’t like being identified as a female. “Mmm? I highly doubt you can be that bad as to demolish this place.” allowing Cassara to pull her over.

"You see I cannot let him drink... So, I have to come up with create ways to keep him occupied. The last stupid thing we did was pierce our nipples," she snorted. "I cannot wait till he finds himself another woman..." She slowly wrapped her arms around Kaida. Thus far it was going better than the last time. Maybe she had just been to quick last time.

“Oh? And why pray tell have you not just found him a hobby instead?” Kaida asked curiously. Surely that would be better than trying to distract him with doing such silly things.

"Oh... We had a hobby," Cassara said with a boisterous laugh. "It lasted about a week before we both got board." She took a deep breath to calm herself down. "You can only cook and play the violin so much before you go stir crazy... Especially since it is what we do for a living as well."

“Well if you both do it for a living then it’s not a hobby silly! I love to dance but I do that for money so I can’t classify it as a hobby so I took up crocheting because that is in no way related to dancing. See?” Kaida said with a laugh in her voice shaking her head at their silliness.

"Rhine's other past time is rock climbing... Do you really see me-," She motioned to her self, "-doing that?" She rolled her eyes. "Like I said I'll settle for the piercing and the other crazy crap we do." She purred and held Kaida a little closer.

She couldn’t help it as straight after the rock climbing statement she burst out laughing. Kaida knew it was probably a bit mean but really she had brought it on her self. “Your right rock climbing would not suite you. Although if what I remember is true Rhine’s not great either, didn’t he fall off a mountain and into the ocean?” Kaida asked trying to calm her mirth.

"Yes... But, he was younger than." Cassara said looking into Kaida's eyes. "We all get better at things we set our mind to doing with time." She was more than thankful the bathroom had two shower heads so neither of them were freezing and fighting for warm water.

“Yes but I think if I fell off a mountain I wouldn’t try my luck again. That’s just tempting fate.” Kaida said with a little chuckle. She suddenly jerked as if remembering something. “Hey weren’t we meant to be having a shower not discussing your brother’s youthful muck-ups?” she asked airily now looking for the soap as she stepped back to see around Cassara.

"I don't know about you but I was rather content to hold you even if that meant discussing just about anything." Cassara said as she stretched now that no part of her was occupied. She then reached behind her without looking and grabbed the shampoo. "Here..."

“Ah but the energy I got from the idea of seeing you is wearing out and I’ll soon just fall to sleep where I’m standing!” Kaida exclaimed as she excepted the bottle of shampoo and squirted out a bit.

"Trust me I could keep you up if I wanted to," Cassara said with a wicked grin as she again reached behind her. She wasn't that interested in washing her hair again even if it was wet. She grabbed the body wash.

Kaida blushed scarlet and let a scandalized ‘Cassara!’ before she put back the shampoo bottle by leaning around Cassara then stepping back she massaged the shampoo into her hair.

Cassara just chuckled as she watched Kaida. After lathering up a puff ball she left the body wash on the side of the tub for Kaida to use. It didn't take her long at all to get washed up now that she was getting down to business.

Rinsing out the shampoo she shook her hair and looked for conditioner that was not behind Cassara. No luck. Making a disgruntled noise at having to lean around her again Kaida moved forward and grabbed it as Cassara finished lather up the puff ball. Retreating back to her side she squirted the conditioner out and copied Cassara in leaving in on the side of the tub.

"I can wait," her voice was very low almost seductive. She chuckled as she cut her side of the water off and grabbed a towel. As much as she'd love to stand there and continue to admire Kaida it wasn't fun in the slightest to her to bring her mate frustration.

“Aye you can.” Kaida said raising an eyebrow as she let the conditioner wash out before also turning off her side of the shower and grabbing a towel wrapping it around her before sashaying out the bathroom door and towards Cassara’s room where clean clothes where.

Business (AIM PRP)

Parties involved in order of first appearance: Surion Rakamash, and Kawaii_Hime_Ceres.

----

Surion sat in one of the back tables of the diner, he had two or three long rolls of paper in front of him, one partially unrolled. A glass of orange juice to one side which he periodically sipped on while he waited on Aurora to arrive. He'd told Rhine he wasn't going to order until she was there as well. He was dressed similar to the day before but was wearing a black tank and a blood red silk shirt open down the front and no wristbands.

Aurora Dawn came sauntering into the cafe. She had a sway and a song in her walk. She wasn't casual in the least. She held her tail and swung it in circles something she wouldn't let any one else get away from. Her large green eyes having a slight twinkle in the light. She had just enough close to be considered decent... For maybe the beach. Spotting whom she was meeting she headed that direction.

Surion reaches for his glass, his eyes still staring at the unrolled paper before him, he didn't notice the young woman's approach, he was too preoccupied.

"Surion?" She purred her question so pleasingly it could shivers down eve the strongest mans spin. She noticed her papers and made her assumptions. Before he could answer she was already setting herself. There was a slight bounce her breasts as she sat.**

Surion looks up, the paper before him rolling slightly "Yes?" he asks and then notices her sit and sits more upright "Ah... Aurora I presume?" he sets his glass down and takes in her appearance.

"Aurora Dawn," she said with a tilt of her head. She extended her hand in a means of greeting as she grinned wickedly. No mater how little or how much she moved she jingled and sparkled from the jewelry she wore.

Surion reaches taking the hand offered with a smile. His tail tapped lightly against the floor "I'm Surion, I see your mom gave you the message."

"In between the typical ******** up house hold news." Aurora chuckled. The tip of her tail flicked back and forth. "Have you found a location yet?" She was more than curious about what he had planned out thus far."

"Actually yes, I found a building that was up for sale, these are the plans for it" he unrolls the pages for her to see. They appeared to be for a large building, he was marking off some 'walls' that would have to be removed and there was some scribblings in another language here and there all over the paper "This is the first floor of the building, you see, this area here..." he runs his finger around a large area that had few walls to be removed "Will make a good dancing area... and this here" he pointed out a couple other areas "Tables, booths and a bar... With the DJ's platform raised over here" he taps yet another area just off the dance floor.

"It all looks good- And the second floor?" Aurora asked as she carefully watched every move his finger made. She liked the layout that he had, but she had a few suggestions. She decided to wait until she knew about the second floor and if he had any other plans.

Surion lets the first sheet reroll and grabs the 2nd of the 3 rolls and lifts it over the first to unroll it, there were a few notes on it but no where near as many as the first, and again some areas marked off "Okay this one here seems to be mostly rooms, but I figure we can knock out these walls here, and a couple floors here" he's pointing the entire time "To raise the ceiling of the club under it, these here make up a good area for a lounge, replace these walls here to be glass to overlook the floor below...." He'd yet to mention anything that had to do with offices.

"Have you thought about private areas," Aurora purred as she continued to watch him. He was pretty good at design- she'd give him that much. "You know nice little niche's with sheer curtains. But I'd leave the tops off so that you can watch from the glass enclosed areas." Her ears flickered. "And as for the lounge what are you going to put in it. And how about offices? Are we going to be doing paper work at the bar every night?"

"Private areas would likely be on the first floor, though only a few of them, we don't need to go overboard, this isn't meet-your-mate club it's a nightclub. The lounge would be VIP access for any VIPs to have access to... as for the offices..." he rolls the 2nd page and pulls the last one open "That's what these would be for.." the page has 2-3 dozen rooms on it, he'd marked a few walls to be knocked down but not many "Offices, a meeting room for staff if needed, and a half dozen apartments."

"I didn't mean for meet and ********... Hence why I shade sheer with no top." She said with a roll of her wrist. "They want to get risky they'll go to the bathrooms... You did lay those out- I hope." Her eyes settled on him with a grin. "And, don't just make them those stalls you can barely fit your a** into it..." Her ears flickered again. "It all sounds nice. Apartments, offices..." She purrs some more. "You know, there's just one thing your missing..."

Surion laughs "They are over here" he motions on the third floor and then unrolls the first floor again motioning an area "And what did I forget?"

Aurora's tail laid itself on the table but out of the way. It had a mind of its own most of the time. She held her head up with the palm of her hand, and the elbow on the table. She looked at him with thick eye lashes and a very slow close and open of the eyes. "You got a name for this place- or are you going to keep on calling it 'The Club'..."

Surion laughs, he'd expected some kind of architectural thing he'd forgotten "No no, I actually did come up with a name... 'Rhythmos' Greek for the word Rhythm, seems appropriate to me at least" he lets all the papers roll up next to each other once more.

"You know Rhythmos River would be nice as well. It could have several meanings behind the name... Even the initials." She said as she watched him roll up the papers. "You hungry? Dinners on me..."

"several meanings?" he inquires at her suggestion of the addition of hte word River "And yeah, I was waiting for you before ordering my food" he nods and moves the rolls of paper to the bench beside him

"Rivers are eternal... They always flow, and carry on them what is given. The name with the word River could mean Rhythm Eternal, or Rhythm flowing... You know like how Rhythm flows from a song," Aurora smiled as she mused her thoughts aloud. "The initials R&R generally means rest and relax... You know come on in and enjoy yourself. We've got good food, good times... The spirits are high." Her ears flicker as she raises her hand to get them a couple menus.

Surion hummed and hawed over this information in his mind, he wanted something that rolled off the tongue, he also remembered dancing in Nights Portal, it wasn't really restful and he inwardly chuckled at that thought.

"You know you could also put River first. Then it becomes Eternal Rhythm in the meaning... Or just make it Eternal to begin with." She winked when the lady dropped off the menus. She also purred a little louder. She slid him a menu.

He nods still thinking it over as he opens the menu to chose what he was hungry for. "I want to keep it simple one way or another, mostly cause then it's easy to remember and comes to mind just as simply" he looks to Aurora.

"I understand." Aurora settled her eyes on him as she continued to purr. Though she didn't have her menu open her hand was settled onto of it. It looks almost like she would open it any moment.

"The building is outside city, so noise violations shouldn't occur, there is no homes or businesses too close" he tells her then his blue eyes drop back to the menu.

"A fence around the property might not be a bad thing..." Aurora still not open her menu. She actually had not intention. She knew it inside out and then some. "And, if you do then perhaps a nice outside dancing area..."

"Maybe, the building needs to be finished first though. I've contacted contractors and have a meeting with them within the next couple days to go over my ideas and see what's doable within safety regulations and such." He made his selection then closed the menu.

"I really doubt we'll have any problems at all... If it as you say pretty much a vacant area." Aurora nods. "I can help with decorating and lights... Both inside and out when the time comes. Since you've got the plans I'll leave you to it."

She purred when the waitress returned. "Just let Rhine know the usual."

"No I doubt there will be an issue, just have to make sure the building meets code and such" he pauses and looks to the waitress, "A steak please, barely seared, and a side of salad, and a refill of orange juice please" he says before returning his attention to Aurora "Decor and lighting will come after the renovations" he smiles.

Aurora waited for the waitress to take a few notes, and clear the table of their glasses before she spoke again. "I must admit this type of club is a bit different for me," she chuckles. "Not that my mother knows I'm rather fond of a good steel pole," she winks.

Surion laughs "Well, it wont be any form of an erotic club... Dance yes, dancers on platforms, dancers on the floor, loud upbeat music, you know the like."

Aurora chuckles. "Like I said a bit different from what I am use to. But, probably a change for the better." She grinned. "And, trust me I'll know if you tell my mother about that little tidbit..."

He laughs and shakes his head "Not for me to tell Aurora" he leans on the table "Besides I know how she reacts when any time of topic that's away from straight comes up... Sky and I were having an interesting half conversation yesterday."

"Can you blame my mother... If I was 450 years old and had half the stories told to me she did I'd be plumb scared myself." She chuckled. "She's working on it though... At least she keeps company in the bed." She smiled. "... I am the one in the family that has more in my bed than I have fingers. Though at the rate Rhine's going..." She chuckled as her ears flickered.

Surion laughs and shakes his head "Definitely not an innocent kitten are you"

"I'm sure my mother has told you that I am quite hard to get a hold of... I never use the front door. Although I really shouldn't have to with a mirror. But something about standing in my room and well you know. I just like the good old fashion slip out the window. I've been like that since I was chasing butterflies... Before I had this body." She purred.

Surion smiles "Well regardless that's not something that I imagine effects this business that's starting up"

"You mentioned apartments... Naturally assume for employees." Aurora purred. "So, no it wouldn't be a problem. But I've always got my mirror if I need a get away, or a way to get home." She stopped talking the moment the waitress arrived with the food.

"When I worked in the Nights Portal, it was one of the fringe benefits I really enjoyed... So yes, some of the employees will earn that bonus." He pauses his words as well, making sure there was room in front of him for the meal.

Aurora nodded her head and as well cleared her space. She purred as the smell of fish filled her nose. She licked her lips as it was set before her. Her tail flicked in anticipation.

Surion's eyes saw her meal and he inwardly chuckled not surprised of it's contents. Then he looked at his and smiled, "perfect" he says as he slices into the meat, the juices indicating how 'rare' it was.

"Rhine's passion has always been cooking," Aurora chuckled. "Violin was sorta forced on him. He tried my mothers patience in that department." She barely touched the fish and it was in her forks. It separated easily and was very moist. "It is because of that passion that he practically lives in the cafe kitchen... He had a couple other chefs back there, and he could afford more... But like I said. I also think it has to do with the fact he doesn't have any other outlet for his spare time," she chuckled as she took a bite.

He chuckles. "Sounds like it, I'm picky about how the steak is prepared only cause I like the blood in it," he smiles as he takes a bite and chews it.

It takes Aurora a fair amount of time to finish her fish, but she doesn't leave anything on her place. Her ears, and tail flicker as she enjoys the meal. She licked her lips before picking up a napkin.

Surion ate like a typical male, there was only bone and gristle left on his plate when he was finished. He was drinking his juice as she wiped her lips

"Enjoy it?" She purred when she noticed he had finished. She had already assumed he had enjoyed it because his plate was pretty much cleaned. Not that he could see it but she wiggled her toes. "Do we have anything else we need to discuss... Business wise?"

"Yea I enjoyed it as much the last time I ate here.." he pauses finishing his juice and setting the glass down, the combination of his meal with orange juice might seem odd but it didn't bother him at all. "Business wise I don't think so... now i know how to contact your mom, whats the easiest way to contact you?"

"Me," she muses as she motions to chest. "Just find my mother... She'll tell me at the table during which ever meal is most convent." She purred. She wasn't about to let on she had a mirror- she only used it for travel which was fairly rare. She flicked her ears once more as her eyes went for those extended close and open sessions.

"All right, I guess that's easy enough" he thought to himself that he'd just have to remember to give time prior to needing her presence for the message to arrive "Was there anything you needed or wanted to bring up?"

"At this moment... No," she said as she rubbed her ear. She continued to keep her focus on him. "Unless of course you want to show me the building site..."

Surion chuckles "I could but honestly it's just a big building at the moment, nothing all that fancy ... yet" he picks up the rolls of paper from the bench beside him after the plates were taken.

"My sister proposed yesterday... So I am sure our house is about to get turned upside down. Unless of course she manages to run away and elope my mother will make sure the wedding is a big to do. Especially, since it is sorta like one of those long lost return to me ordeals..." She rolled her eyes.

"Oh geez sounds like your house has a handful to deal with" he moves to stand up "But if you want to see the building I can show you."

"Actually it will be Rhine that has the handful..." Aurora snickers. "Then again it might actually tame my sisters temper finally getting laid again after three years." Her tail flickered. "But you are right... My mother goes for grand when she can." She motions to the door. "Property is property no mater what shape it is in... So, lets have a look shall we."

"Okay... meet me outside, I'm going to get rid of this armful first" he indeed had an armful. And with that word he plane shifted out of sight.

Aurora made a stop at the kitchen doors to say a word to Rhine before heading outside. Once she was outside, and just away from the doors she stretched every inch of herself.

A couple minutes later he walked up behind her "Hope you know how to ride" he says not having priory announced his return.

"...I assume its thick and it purrs... Just what this girl likes between her legs. Besides how hard can it be when you are doing the driving... Got a helmet?" Aurora asked with a purr. She chuckles as her tail flickers a couple of times.

Surion laughs "Well lets see" he looks over sizing her up and he walks over to the lava red and black Harley parked to one side and digs into the saddlebags and pulls out a piece of chalk "Well I will if I can find what I need" he glances around for a board or something.

Aurora rolls her eyes as she lets out a low playful growl. "You have a bag like my mothers?" She quickly curiously as she watched him.

Surion laughs "Not really" he flips the bag open, it revealed only a folded piece of paper and a couple odd items "The dragonettes like the saddlebags to ride in." he grabs the nearest chunk of whatever nearby and stoops down drawing a circle with some other designs in it on the ground. setting the junk in it and tosses the chalk back in the saddlebag.

"My mother told me about those little guys," She grinned. "And I noticed you didn't feed them at dinner time..." She held out a container. "So, hope you don't mind..." Though she held out the container she continued to watch him with a generous amount of curiosity.

Surion looks up "Oh, I left them at home, thanks.. I'm sure they'll love it" he grins taking the container and setting on the seat of the bike before putting his fingers on the outter circle and a moment later it lit up and the junk was soon replaced with a helmet.

"Interesting," she said when there was finally a helmet. "So how long will it last? Because with you around... I might need it more than once." She purred. She again decided not to mention the mirror... Even if Surion knew it exist becuase of Ceres... It didn't mean that he had to know about hers even if travel was quicker.

Surion stands up handing it to her "Uh forever?" his eyes turn green and he washes the circle away "The law of equivalent exchange is the founding principle of alchemy.. I exchanged that junk for this helmet" he turns as his eyes return to blue setting the container in the saddlebag and grabbing his own helmet.

"Interesting. No one in my family practices Alchemy," Aurora smile. "We've not use for it with my mothers will. And, when she passes on then it will be the will of Natalia. The money we are using is from sunken ships." She chuckled. "We are rich off of dead mans treasure..." Her ears flickered once before she put on the helmet.

Surion slips his helmet on "I was taught alchemy at a young age, so it's force of habit" he admits as he climbs on the bike, righting it and then kickstarting it, bringing it to life with a loud rumble. "Hop on"

"Dirty boy... You'll make a girl wet herself." She chuckled as she straddle the motorcycle and wrapped her arms around his waist. "And, we were taught of many things... My mother didn't want dumb children."

Surion ignored the first comment, or rather just didn't reply to it, he backed the bike up and then took off down the road heading in the direction of the building he'd bought, and it wasn't too long before she'd see the building with it's land around it, plenty of room for parking and the lot.

Though they were moving a good, fast pace on the motorcycle Aurora was able to memorize the rout they'd taken, and a few minor details of the surrounding area. When she saw the large building coming into view she purred with renewed excitement.

Surion pulled to a stop in front of it and shut the bike off "Well this is it Aurora" he motions the dark building.

Aurora took of the helmet and though she had no hair to shake free, she shook her head regardless. Her ears flickered adjusting once more. Though her focus was on the building she in no time had her tail in her hands and was attempting to groom herself. "Looks nice for starters..." She purred.

Surion chuckles, setting the kickstand and climbing from the bike heading for the doors, keys in hand "Lot of work to be done, this is for certain."

"Nothing we cannot handle... I'm sure of that." Aurora purred as she padded towards the entrance way. Though she was barefoot she didn't pay much attention to where she walked. It was an indication that she was use it and had fairly tough feet.

Surion pulled open the doors and waved her in "Take a look, perhaps seeing it will let you picture the changes I want to make better".

"Yes, it certainly does make a difference. The place is a lot larger than the blue prints let on... At least to me," she said with a tilt of her head, and a slow spin. She wanted to take in as much of it as she could in one good full glance.

"Yeah, it's massive, it's the perfect place I think." Surion leans against the wall allowing her to explore.

"Perfect," she emphasized the 'p' before she purred. She took a couple steps would stop and stare... Take a couple more and look around. She was remembering his blue prints and was visually imagining it. She could occasionally make hand gestures.

Surion pushed away from the wall and followed her "If the contractor and safety guy agrees that wall, that one and the ceiling will be gone" he pointed at several wall and ceilings.

"I don't see why it wouldn't be possible," Aurora said with a nod. "I'm satisfied," she said as she looked at him with a grin. "I think we've got something good going for us..."

"Me too... Hopefully it'll be popular" he smiles "You'll have to forgive me if I decide to not only run this thing but to be a dancer.... I miss doing that" he stuffs his hands into his pockets.

"I don't think I could sit in a stuffy office all shift myself. Though I'll have to learn how to tame myself..." She chuckles. "I might put on to good of a show and give some poor fool a heart attack."

Surion bursts out laughing "That you might Aurora, that you might... was there anything else here you wanted to see?"

Aurora takes hold of her tail and swung it in circles. She put a hand on her hip, and provocatively leaned to one side. She was still well balanced. After a moments pause she shook her head. "Nope."

"Okay, sounds good then... I'll deal with the meetings with the contractor and such.. Unless you need to be there" He glances around and then back to her.

"No I trust you can handle that on your own. I'll take part in decorating, and such... Because that is where the woman's touch is most need," she said with a purr as she headed for the exit. "I can get myself home... You needn't worry."

Surion chuckles "All right.. I'll contact you via your mom when it's closer to completion then or if there's more details to work out" he nods.

Aurora nods her head. "All right then... Maybe I'll luck up and see you at our dinner table some day." She chuckled. "You are part of the family after all." With that she headed off into the night. The last to be seen was the glint of the jewelry on her tail.

Surion watches her leave and then turns and locks up the building before mounting the Harley and soon heading home.

Ceres
With so much going on it is almost to hard to focus on writing things down. Shame on me... I know. I keep on saying I will do it and it never gets done. The bad thing is, is that time is running short- Never thought I'd be able to say that one.

I thought parenting was suppose to get easier with age, and as the nest emptied... Boy, have I been proven wrong! You wouldn't believe the trials this house hold goes through... And, to think I raised them on good honest values and decent morals.

All of my children are so busy lately. Rhine's divorce, his affair, his cafe. Aurora Dawn's partnership with Surion (they are going to be running a club together). Cassara's mate, Kaida, returned after several years...

I'm going need a bigger dinning table... Heck, at this point a bigger kitchen. And to think I use to think it was big enough to accommodate my growing family.

Natalia... Who can forget her? I don't think any of us can. I don't know if it is the Island, the Pegasus, or the Maiden in her but she sure grows up darn quick! She's bubbly, very bright, and loves noise! She is finally growing a little less possessive... I guess the teachings on sharing is finally settling in.

I still have my reasons to believe that the Island wants to meddle with Natalia... And, if that is the case then I know there is mischief afoot. I'm going to have to keep my guard up as she grows... I will not let harm come to her!

Yes, I know I cannot shield her forever, but I can sure try. She still has a lot of childhood left... I don't want it spoiled for her. Some days I fear as quick as she is growing that it is already being spoiled. But, I second guess myself because of how much fun she can have.

She is getting occasional glimpses of the world around her... So, I know that her will is strong, and can only get stronger. What I don't know is if she sees through her own eyes or through others eyes...

I think that about covers everything... Though, I am sure I have forgotten something. It comes with age I suppose.

Natalia is nothing like a foal. Although, she does have the energy of one. Actually, there are days I wish I could bottle it up so that she could share it. I didn't use to be this tired... Then again no one in this house use to be this tired... Natalia really gives us all a run for our money...

I still wonder if her wings will grow enough that she can use them. Although, I must admit that I am not sure how to teach her to fly if she can fly. I have never tried to fly myself with this body...

Did I mention yet that she is smart... Sometimes to smart. But, she is a bit on the forgetful side. Then again that may just be that she gets started on one thing, and before she finishes it she is moving onto another. She is a very, very busy child.

I'll Play- You Dance (AIM PRP)

Parties involved in order of first appearance: Kawaii_Hime_Ceres, and [ X_Bleeding Roses_X ].

----

"Kaida I hope you aren't to settled in-," Rhine said with a grin knowing that he was springing news on both Cassara and Kaida about making an upgrade to both their living and business style.

"How is anyone perky at this hour..." Cassara said as her head hit the dinning room table. Since Kaida had come home she no longer knew if it was night or day. She just worked around the other until they both worked out some sort of medium.

“Not completely, I’ve only unpacked the necessaries.” Kaida said snuggling her head in further between her arms as she dozed on the table. “Cassara don’t hit your head on the table it’ll just give you a headache.” Kaida said turning her head to face her mate and deliberately ignoring the question. She couldn’t answer that without insulting Rhine, but she did agree.

"Wonderful!" Rhine exclaimed. "Then you won't hate me so much when I tell you I am going to be searching for a new building... This place is much to cramped for our growing family and unfortunately it does not grow like moms." He glanced at the clock. "You know its almost one in the afternoon-"

"I'll remember that next time." Cassara groaned. She then muttered a string of curse words. The tip of her tail curled with Kaida's. "Oh goo-dy I get to pack my things..." The sarcasm dripped from her tired voice with a force.

“Yes. Wonderful.” Kaida said with sarcasm just oozing from her voice. Heaving a sigh she sat up and stretched a bit before pausing mid stretch. “You know if you need help finding a place I could check to see if the place I was going to buy before here is still available. It’s just a block down. Next to that blue place.” Kaida said with a thoughtful look.

Rhine took a moment to look Kaida over, but not that over. "Well... We've gone from small to medium and now we really need a large building." He paused for a moment. He hoped this idea would be well received. "I would like to have a stage large enough that you could dance while Cassara plays." His grin was on the goofy side.

"If I had a fork I'd stick you right now Rhine," Cassara said as she looked her brother in the eyes. She finally sat up in her chair and as well stretched. "I don't even think I could formulate a single note at this moment..." Which was saying something since she was always playing.

“Oh.” Kaida said deflating a bit. “The house is only medium sized, only a bit bigger then here.” she said regretfully. “Really! That would be splendid! I haven’t had a chance to dance since I got here and it’s been years since I got to dance To Cass’s music.” Kaida replied happily now bouncing slightly in her seat. “Cass sweetie stop being so melodramatic I’m sure all you need is a bit of coffee and you’ll be fine.” Kaida replied when Cassara mentioned mutilation via fork. Although it would be interesting to see if that was possible… certainly was with a spork.

"Splendid!" Rhine exclaimed as he clapped his hands excitedly. "Well, you know we'll live above our business... It is the way we've done since we left home." He was still grinning ear to ear with excitement. "Well I best get back down stairs before the kitchen calls mutiny." He gave a wink saying he was only joking before he quickly left the room.

"I don't really do coffee," Cassara said as she looked Kaida over from the corner of her eye. "I do masturbation and a good shower... But lately I don't know whether I'm coming or going... Not that I mind because it is a lot better having you around than not having you around." She was sure only half of what she said was making sense since she was only half awake.

Kaida gave Rhine a small ‘Mm’ in response as he left before turning her full attention to Cassara. At the first part of what she said Kaida blushed scarlet before giving out a stuttering “Can I get that last part in English please?”.

"Its worth not having a routine so long as your around," Cassara said as she unsuccessfully stifled a yawn. "One in the afternoon means lunch." She slowly stood up and wobbled towards the kitchen.

Kaida made a soft ‘awe’ when she got the translation. Cassara could be so unintentionally sweet sometimes. “More like brunch.” Kaida said also standing up and following Cassara.

"You want something?" Cassara asked out of habit and politeness. She had no clue what she was in the mood for. She signed softly and leaned against Kaida. "We need to work on a routine. And, I don't mean the one were we are up for a few hours and then asleep for a few hours..." she chuckled.

“Eh? No thank you. I’m just in here to make sure in your sleep deprived state that you don’t burn down the kitchen or something.” Kaida replied with a cheeky grin making sure to get out of Cassara’s striking range. “What’s wrong with the routine apart from some grogginess when we first get up I’m fine.” Kaida asked her smile turning to a smirk. She knew perfectly well what’s wrong.

Cassara slapped some cheese on two slices of bread and plopped it into a pan. She turned on the stove before she turned around and brandished the spatula at Kaida. Her hair was in every dirrection possible and then son. Her normally sloppy look that she could make look good just was not happening. "I'm horny. I'm tired. I'm hungry. I don't even know what time of day it is. I don't even know when the last time I showered was." She took a deep breath. "I do know I love you and that it is all worth it..." She wasn't paying attention the sandwich that was burning.

“I know I was just playing I’m sure we can work out a scedu- EKK!” Kaida said the last part being because she caught sight of the pan. Which was smoking. Rushing towards the stove she turned it off before sighing. She hadn’t really come in here to stop her burning down the place. She didn’t think it had gotten this bad.

"Thanks-" Cassara sighed and threw the sandwich away. She then reached into the cabinet and grabbed the first snack food that she put her hand on. "Let's go get a bath... I am sure that will help me." She kissed Kaida reassuring her that everything was alright.

“Sure a bath sounds fine.” Kaida said returning the kiss before looking to what Cassara had picked out. Letting out a small chuckle she inquired, “You do realize you’ve picked out a dark chocolate snack bar?”

Cassara looked down and sighed. "Not my 'morning' is it?" She sat it on the counter and wrapped her around Kaida's waist. "I'll just wait and pester Rhine to fix me something once we go down stairs... I should really try to preform. Its been a few days." She grinned. "If you don't mind a small, one person stage you can dance."

“No it really isn’t.” Kaida replied shaking her head. Making an ‘A-huh’ noise at the idea to pester Rhine she rummaged around in the cupboards for a more suitable snack for Cassara. “Of course I don’t mind just let me go get changed into my dancing outfit and I’ll be right down!” Kaida exclaimed spinning around and kissing Cassara before dropping a packet of Bali Sugars she had found in Cassara’s lap before practically skipping to their room.

"I'll rush on that bath I mentioned," Cassara chuckled as she munched on what Kaida had given her. She smiled as she headed into the bathroom that was joined to their room. She was already in the process of stripping so that the bath would be quick.

Prancing around the room Kaida found all her needed items and laid them on the bed before starting to get changed. Once done she knocked sharply on the bathroom door before yelling in “Hurry up! I already had a shower last time we were up… about 4 hours ago.” Kaida said explaining why she had not joined Cassara. That and after dancing she was more likely going to need it.

Cassara opened the door. She was half way there. She had at least showered. She had her body and hair wrapped up in a towels. "I'm hurrying..." She chuckled. She was amazed at how excited, how kid like Kaida could be when she was truly excited.

After a moment of standing there smiling at Kaida she headed over to the closet. It didn't take much work to pick out an outfit. For the most part all the shirts were the same, it was only the pants that changed.

Kaida just nodded and kept bouncing on her feet as her hair which was out of its bun swayed around her. Once she saw Cassara was dressed she latched onto her and literally started to drag her down the stairs.

"If I come 'undone' and 'exposed' I will blame you for rushing me," Cassara said looking down at her chest. She couldn't help but check it twice. She hadn't really had that much time to 'man' herself up.

Cassara's clawed toes clicked on the stage. Surprisingly she saw a few regardless that were no doubt there in hopes that 'Vlad' would make an appearance. "We'll break a few hearts once they see you..." she whispered.

“Yes, yes I’ll take all the blame.” Kaida said smoothing down her skirt to make sure the layer’s where right as they approached the stage. “Tough for them but they’ll have to deal.” Kaida replied briefly intertwining their tails.

Cassara gave the others tail a firm squeeze as she smiled. "I'll try and take up as little space as possible." She said as she grabbed her chair and violin.

The crowds cheers brought Rhine from the kitchen. He was ecstatic that they were going to make a performance. That way people could get a taste of what was to come once they were at the new cafe. He quickly pushed the button to close the curtains, dim the lights, and do a few other things. This was a treat after all.

“Thank you” Kaida replied taking up the opposite side to the stage as Cassara before slowing her breathing and closing her eyes as she titled her head slightly as she waited for Cassara to start.

Cassara hadn't ever really felt nervous before a crowd of people but suddenly it was different. This was more important that normal. Slowly she closed her eyes as she took a deep breath. She tucked her violin at her chin and raised the bow. She played what came to her heart.

As Cassara started Kaida snapped open her eyes and started the dance with a spin. She let the tune wash over her and instead of her usual of letting her dance shape the music’s interpretation she let the music shape her dance. It was after all Cassara that usually performed here, not her.

Cassara's song was that of her memory of Kaida. In the beginning it was timid, but as it continued it grew bold. But then suddenly it became haunting and lonely- this was the three years they'd spent apart. Finally it returned to happy beat. Kid like and full of life. They were back together.

To start with Kaida’s movement’s where very small and close to herself not leaving the small sector of the stage she was in then as the music grew bolder she started to move away and her movements turned large to include leaps and spins that swirled her skirt up and around her letting the full effects of a multi-layer skirt. When the music suddenly turned sad she swept down so she was balancing on one leg the other out to the side as she snapped her wings up to create a shadow over her and tilted her head forward causing her hair to cover her face. Slowly twirling up from this position her movements became slow and waltz like as she shifted her wings so they always cast a shadow over her and made sure her hair kept covering her face. When the music returned to happiness she snapped her wings so they always cast a shadow over her and made sure her hair kept covering her face. When the music returned to happiness she snapped her wings in and did a backwards flip, just barley managing to stay on the stage. From there she returned to her twirling and leaping from before but now every movement had a hint of a skip or bounce to it. As the music stopped she twirled to face the audience before sinking into a deep curtsy.

Cassara stood up and joined Kaida. Instead of a curtsy she bowed. Then slowly she stood and put her arm around her mates waist. She hadn't felt that exhilarated in a very long time. It felt wonderful again to play. It no longer felt routine and mundane.

Cassara mouthed several thank yous. Once the flowers began to reach the stage she scoped up a few and handed them to Kaida. She grinned and kissed her gently on the lips.

Kaida practically hummed from the excitement of dancing as the adrenalin from it spread through her system. The emotion in the music she usually danced to that had been missing had just been found in what Cassara had played. It was fantastic. Accepting the flowers she sniffed them gently and returned the kiss.

Cassara slowly lead them off stage just as Rhine was readjusting the lighting and the curtains. She was taking them towards the kitchen, but on the way she would stop and shake hands with various customers especially the regulars. A few even gave 'tips'.

Kaida followed Cassara quite happily and gave a small smile whenever Cassara stopped to shake hands with someone giving Cassara a small smirk at the ‘tips’. Once they reached the kitchen she pulled herself from Cassara’s grip before spinning on the spot and giving a manic like grin that showed off all her teeth, including her fangs, as she exclaimed, “That was awesome!”.

"I don't think Cassara has played that splendidly in years!" Rhine exclaimed. "You even had me going from moment to moment." Which was saying something since he heard it every day.

Cassara chuckled as she caught the swinging doors. "Just worry about fixing me something to eat." She wouldn't say how excited she was, but it showed in her movements and expressions. She straightened the money before putting it into her pockets.

Kaida gave a soft laugh at Cassara’s demand before plopping in a chair near the office and leaning back she closed her eye’s before giving a soft “and while you’re at it get me something to drink.”.

You're it! (AIM PRP)

Parties involved in order of first appearance: keetabirdy, and Kawaii_Hime_Ceres.

Several days after Kael had departed, Keeta had gotten over the worst of the heartache and guilt that had come with breaking up with him. Despite Kael's challenges, he had not been the one to be unfaithful, and yet she was the one who had ended things. Regardless, what was done was done, and while she regretted whatever pain she caused Kael, she did NOT regret ending things. Something told her it would be better for the both of them.

Today, she had decided that she needed to get out and spend some time away from the house and work, and she couldn't think of a better place to go than the island. Ceres would be glad to hear that she had finally made a decision and maybe Joel and Natalia could play a while. He didn't have enough interaction with other children. And Rhine...maybe he would be there and he could at least know that she had chosen him.

After getting Joel ready (which was a bit of a challenge, as he was getting more and more mobile now), she got out her mirror. Holding tightly to her son, she transported the two of them to the island.

With their mother and father growing more tired as the days pass they had all eagerly decided to help them out by doing various things around the house, and helping in the rearing of Natalia. Today just happened to be Rhine's day.

"Come back here!" Rhine shouted playfully as he chased Natalia down through the kitchen, the living room, in an out of bed rooms, and down the long hall.

"No, no, no! You won't catch me that easily." Natalia giggled as she threw her hands up and taunted her brother before running once more down the hall. She had memorized every inch of the house... And, everyone was good about not changing things and keeping it picked up.

"Oof" Keeta grunted as she fell into the wall, trying to maintain her balance with Joel in one arm and the mirror in the other. She smiled to herself as she head Natalia's happy shriek and Rhine's deeper tones.

Joel frowned at being jolted during their 'landing' and wiggled to be let down. Relieved that she wouldn't have to carry him the whole time, she set him down and he instantly took off crawling to explore this environment. He hadn't been so mobile the last time he was here.

Natalia who was going by memory alone as she ran through the house. She didn't know that Joel was coming down the hall. In her laughter she had not even heard him. She just continued to giggle, and have a grand time as her brother chased her.

Rhine looked up just in time to see Joel coming down the hall... Right in Natalia's path. "Natalia!" He shouted a little more serious than his previous fun squeals... He reached out for his sister, and pulled her close. They tumbled off to the side away from Joel.

"You got me!" Natalia clapped and squealed. She was still unaware that anything was amiss in her surroundings. "Your turn now!" She exclaimed as she squirmed trying to get away from her brother.

Keeta had been putting the mirror away securely, and wasn't aware of the impending collision until Rhine called out, and her head snapped up in reaction. She didn't even have time to cry out in alarm, before Rhine grabbed Natalia and pulled her away from Joel. Keeta closed her eyes and uttered a sigh of relief at Rhine's quick action.

"Thank you," she said gratefully as she headed over the three of them. Joel didn't appear any worse for the wear. In fact, he was already on his way again. Apparently the almost-accident hadn't phased him much and Keeta was mentally wishing for one of the baby gates she had put up around the house, to at least keep Joel in the living room with his explorations. She chased after him and scooped him up, coming back to Rhine and Natalia.

"Sorry for the dramatic entrance."

"No, problem," Rhine laughed as he let Natalia go. He quickly stood up and brushed himself off. "Go ahead put him down... The house is safe,-" he ruffled Natalia's hair, "-unless you count her."

"Hey!" Natalia said as she stuck the tip of her tongue out of her mouth and put her hands on her hips. "I so not trouble!" Then a curious look crept onto her face. There were 'guests' in the house. "More people to play tag," she chirped as she clapped her hands. Her tail flickered and made noise via the bells.

"Hello Natalia. It's Keeta and Joel, my son. Do you remember him?" She asked, crouching down next to the little girl, her son still in her arms.

"I think we'll just watch you two play Natalia. Joel's not old enough to understand the game yet." She glanced at Rhine.

"I don't know if I should put him down....especially if you guys are going to be playing tag, I don't want him in the way. But if you are looking for a break, there is something I would like to talk to you about..." Joel fussed and wiggled at being denied his freedom to roam and Keeta struggled to hold on to him while she crouched next to Rhine and Natalia.

"I remember you!" Natalia clapped excitedly. She slightly understood that Joel could not play like her. Even she had some limitations. She also understood that 'dreaded' 'let's talk' phrase that adults said. "I have noisy toys that are safe for us to play with!" She beamed with pride.

Rhine brushed the hair out of his face and looked Keeta over. Finally he nodded his head. "We'll play tag later Natalia," he said as he offered her a bright smile. He carefully pulled Ceres' door till it was opened no more than a crack. "So, you don't give them a fright with all the noise you'll be making," he said with a wink.

Keeta nodded at Natalia's invitation for Joel to play with her and set him down on the floor again. He immediately took off, not wanting to be confined further.

"He might not play with you like you want him to Natalia, just so you know. He hasn't spent much time around other children and he can't talk or walk yet...." She watched him speed away, wondering how much faster he'd be when he could walk upright. Keeta looked over at Rhine as he closed the door.

"They asleep?" she asked, having wanted to tell Ceres her news as well.

Natalia toddle off in a dirrection of her choosing. She gave no second though to Joel and where he was headed... She couldn't see him. She opened her toy chest in the corner of the room and pulled out some of her favorite toys. She knew by the sounds they made, and their feel. She felt that if Joel wanted to join he would.

Rhine nodded as he looked from her then to the door and sighed softly. "Napping," he gave her the most positive smile he could manage. He took Keeta's hand and tugged her in the dirrection that was towards the sofa. "Come have a seat..."

Joel was headed in the direction of the kitchen, when he heard the noises Natalia was making by getting into her toy box. It was tempting, but he crawled a bit further. Right now he just wanted to MOVE.

Keeta tried to remain looking at least mildly happy as she sat down with Rhine. She thought she sensed some worry about Ceres any Sky in his response, but she decided not to press him about it. She knew they were aging as Natalia grew older and there wasn't much that could be done. They didn't like it, but it was something they were all going to have to learn to live with. Besides, Keeta came here to talk about a different matter entirely.

She followed Rhine's tug over to the couch and sat next to him, leaning her head on his shoulder. For a moment, Keeta just sat in silence with him, before deciding to just say it. She didn't move her head or turn her face to look at him. She simply spoke.

"I...ended things with Kael. He's gone."

Natalia had half a dozen toys out by now. She had one for each hand. She was attempting to make as much noise as possible. She loved noise. To her near any sound was beautiful.

Rhine instinctively wrapped his arms around Keeta, and pulled her closer against him. He would not force the words out her. When she was ready she would speak, until then he could wait patiently. He could comfort her. He ran his fingers through her hair and occasion patted her on the back.

Finally, she spoke... It took his mind an insane amount of time to process exactly what she had said. He was the reason that she had ended things with him... And, he knew it. It was their 'affair'... But it was more to them. "Keeta," He breathed deeply and held her tighter, closer... If that was possible. He was slightly trembling. He didn't know was emotion at this moment was controlling him, but he did know that he was happy... For his own 'selfish' reasons.

Rhine slip his fingers under her chin, and tipped her head upwards. Their lips were just inches apart. "I love you," he whispered as he breathed again. He didn't know though whether to advance and kiss her lips and claim her as his... or just to remain as this... In this moment. Because he knew she must as well be grieving.

As the noise continues to increase, Joel turned around and started heading back towards it. He liked to make noises too, although he liked 'pretty' noises better. Like the ones the man he saw at mommy's work sometimes made.

Keeta enjoyed having Rhine's comforting arm around her. It let her know that perhaps she was not as foolish as she felt, in regards to her decision about Kael. They were sitting so close, she could 'feel' his reaction, how he trembled and pulled her closer, as if being possessive. This was also reassuring to her.

Keeta allowed herself to relax a little, until she felt her chin being lifted upwards. She stared into his eyes, searching them for more of how he was feeling at this news. Then he said the three magic words, that had made all of this worth it, and she allowed herself a small smile.

"I love you too," she whispered back. Leaning forward, she kissed him gently. It was not a kiss of passion or intensity, for she was not feeling either one of those at the moment. Rhine was correct that she was still grieving and it would take time to hear. But for now, knowing that he loved her was enough.

Rhine kissed her gently in return. Finally after a couple of seconds passed he released her head from the position he held it in. Though his eyes continued to look into hers. "I won't let you down-" The open ended phrase was all he felt he could say. He offered her a small smile to reassure her.

Natalia dropped the noisy toys and let out a sigh of discontent. As much as she was enjoying it, it just wasn't as fun. She normally could play alone or with her older sibling. But, knowing there was another kid in the house made things different.

Ceres cleared her throat as she scooped up Joel, and then Natalia. "How about we leave the big kids to their moment... Hm?" She chuckled as she carried them off to the kitchen. "And, we shall get some lunch going."

Natalia's thoughts of being alone no longer filled or phased her. "Lunch," She said as she eagerly wrapped her arms around her mothers neck and let out a content sigh.

Rhine didn't even notice that his mother had come into the living room, and gone into the kitchen... Or, that his sister had abandoned her box of toys... He was at the moment consumed by Keeta for a number of reasons.

"Thank you Rhine," she smiled and continue to cuddle with him, unaware that they were being watched.

Joel squealed slightly in surprise at being picked up by Ceres. He had been on a mission, to find the noisy toys. Now, however, he was confined again, in the company of another child, and the noises had stopped. He frowned unhappily. He understood the word lunch, but he wasn't hungry yet. He wiggled in protest.

Keeta wasn't quite as absorbed as Rhine (her maternal radar always on), and Joel's protests caused her to turn away and look for the source of them. She chuckled slightly seeing him get carted away by Ceres.

Ceres sat Natalia in her chair, and Joel in a high chair. She found a few of Natalia's toys on the counter and gave them to him. "Like this," she said as she shook it in front of him so he could see and hear the noise. She smiled. "One for you two Natalia," she said as she shook it in front of her face.

Natalia eagerly shook the toy and banged it on the table. "Noise, Mommy!" She squealed in delight. She was happy that the attention was on her, or at least directed at her... And, the promise of lunch was never a bad thing.

"What is so funny?" Rhine question as he noticed Keeta's demeanor do nearly a 180. He looked about the room and noticed that Natalia was no longer at her toy box... But, it didn't cause alarm in him because he knew Natalia knew this house from one end of the other.

Keeta grinned in amusement.

"Oh your mother just came by, grabbing Natalia and Joel, much to his displeasure, and headed for the kitchen. I think I heard her say something about lunch."

Joel continued to frown. The highchair felt like a cage at the moment. He didn't touch the toy at first when Ceres put it down, but when Natalia picked up hers and started to shake it, making noise, he decided to join in. Eventually his happy squeals joined her, and for the moment his quest to explore was forgotten.

Rhine chuckled. He was purely delighted that Keeta was smiling, laughing, and overall enjoying herself despite the brief moment of sadness and sternness that had come between them. They had, had a more positive move just briefly before his mother, but now if was even better. It was like 'home'. "Do you wish to join her?"

Ceres chuckled. "That's the spirit." She said as she grabbed a pot and a spoon and joined in. As her hands moved things about the kitchen also moved in preparation for lunch.

Natalia was having a lot of fun with her noisy toy. She occasionally flicked her tail and caused her bells to jingle. "Mommy have fun to!?"

Keeta tilted her head to listen as the cacophony trickled down the hall.

"From the sound of it, I think we'll be joining on more than lunch." Shaking her head and still laughing, she grabbed his hand and tried to pull him up from the couch, in the same manner he had pulled her to the couch moments earlier and started to head for the kitchen.

"I'm only letting you do this because your my girlfriend." Rhine chuckled and ran his fingers through his hair. It was different, but he didn't mind it he just felt a bit silly being led by Keeta.

Ceres and Natalia were both far to busy in their music to hear of Rhine and Keeta's talk.

Rhine rubbed the back of his neck. He couldn't believe how busy it had been. It wasn't a holiday or any other day to celebrate that he could think of. But, still it was wave after wave. And, the groups were never small. He was glad to lock the doors (an hour after closing), and pull the curtains shut.

Cassara was already upstairs no doubt with Kaida. And, Rhine was still to wound up to go up stairs and do... well nothing. He sighed and stretched the length of himself. He really wasn't up to going out and painting the time. If he wanted to do that he could do it with Keeta.

There was one way Rhine knew best to relax. He carefully climbed the stairs of the stage, there were not many. In the back he found his violin next to his sisters. He ran his fingers along the case. "It's been a while..." He whispered.

It had only been a few weeks since Rhine and Keeta had become 'official' and could stop trying to hide their affection for one another, but it had been some of the happiest weeks Keeta could remember.

She and Rhine had had no particular plans that evening, as they both had had to work, but Tess told Keeta she could go home early, as it had been slow. Looking at her watch, she knew Annata wouldn't be expecting her to pick up Joel for another several hours, and she decided to surprise Rhine. Pulling out the mirror from her purse, she used it to transport herself to the restaurant.

It was pitch black inside, as the cafe was closed and she fumbled around for the light. Turning it on, she checked her appearance in the glass and put away her own little mirror, before exiting the room, turning off the light behind her. She was about to head upstairs, figuring Rhine had already gone up, when she thought she saw a lone figure on the stage.

Rhine sat a stool out in the middle of the stage, and sat himself down. He made himself as comfortable as possible. He took a deep breath and closed his eyes. This never came naturally to him... It had not only taken his mothers teaching to get him taught but his sisters.

He positioned the violin and the bow and began to play. It was no particular song. It was simply just the notes that came to mind. His bow flowed like water as he played. The rest of his body even seemed just as in to.

Recognizing her lover, Keeta remained at the base of the stairs and leaned against the railing, unwilling to disturb him. He told her the night they first were together that he played the violin, but she had never heard him before tonight and she did not want to give him any reason to stop.

The music that came from the stage was beautiful and honest. Rhine was playing his heart out and Keeta knew it. She couldn't help picturing how her son would be enjoying this as much as she was if he were here.

Rhine slowly tapered the song out and with one final stroke of the bow let the song come to a end. He breathed heavily as he slowly opened his eyes. As tired as he was from the day, and tiring as it was to play he felt exhilarated. He really would have to play more often than he had recently. He grabbed the violin case, and busied himself with putting his things away. He finally felt relaxed enough to face the 'cramped' upstairs.

"That was beautiful Rhine," Keeta said, stepping from the shadows as Rhine started to put the violin away.

"Why have you never played for me before?" She stepped up on the stage, making her way towards him.

"It really wasn't anything special," Rhine said nervously. He shut the case and ruffled his hair. He looked like a rabbit caught by a fox- good and back into the corner. "I don't play much to begin with and even less since my divorce," he said as he smiled timidly.

"Well I certainly couldn't manage anything more than a few screeches on an instrument like that. You make music and it's music that comes from here," she said, placing a hand over his heart as she reached him.

"I can assure you it is my sisters who are enchanting and not I." Rhine chuckled as he took hold of her hand and brought it to his face. He kissed it gently. "I will play for you. I just get nervous around others that aren't my siblings..." He looked her in the eyes.

She smiled as he kissed her hand, returing his gaze.

"Well I won't ask you to do it, if it makes you uncomfortable. I was actually about to go look for you upstairs. I got off work early and thought I'd use my time while Annata is babysitting, to come surprise you. I guess it ended up being a different kind of surprise than I had planned."

Rhine chuckled and pulled her to sit in his lap. "It is a very pleasant surprise." He ran his fingers through her hair and admired how she glowed when she was happy. "I'm afraid to say that you won't want to go upstairs-," he chuckled, "-bit cramped up there..."

She sighed contentedly and leaned against him as he ran his fingers through her hair. It was so nice just to sit with him like this. At his last statement, however, she sat up and looked at him with a raised eyebrow.

"Cramped? How's that?"

"Well, the space was fairly adequate to put it nicely. But, since we've packed up our things it is miserable." Rhine sighed. "Both upstairs and down."

"The cafe is getting more and more popular. A medium sized building just isn't going to cut it. And, upstairs well-," he sighed, "between myself, Cassara, Kaida, yourself, and Joel... Well, frankly, there just isn't enough room anymore. And, we prefer to live where we work. So I guess all around we just need more space."

"Packed up your things? Wait you're moving and you didn't tell me 'til now? And who in the name of Mother Earth is Kaida?"

Rhine gave a nervous look for a moment and then smile reassuringly. "First things first-," he said knowing the wrath of a woman was one thing he didn't want to face. "Kaida is Cassara's mate. She's come back to her after several years..." He took a breath hoping that helped clear the air between them that was getting thick with tension. "Secondly, I was already in the process of looking for a new property, and getting my self packed when Kaida showed up. I wanted to surprise you with the option of living with us. But, well it just isn't working out that way..."

"Oh...." Keeta looked down, feeling a little foolish at how quickly she had reacted to his words. She should have known better and waited for an explanation before she got herself worked up.

"I'm sorry Rhine, I shouldn't have reacted that way. It's sweet that you wanted to surprise me. But maybe flowers or something would have been more appropriate," she said kindly.

"After all, I would have been quite worried if I had shown up here one day to find no trace of you. Maybe I can help you look for some place? As for living with you...." she trailed off, trying to find the words to express what she was thinking and feeling.

"It's not that I don't love you. It's just that I don't think I'm emotionally ready for that yet. But I will be at some point, if you just give me time." Keeta looked up, smiling at him to reassure him of how she felt.

Rhine leaned back in the chair and held Keeta for a time. The smile didn't leave his face at any time... It had no reason to. "I never expected you to move in. It was just the fact of having the space so that when I made the offer and you were ready we weren't scrambling. Its not easy to move a business and a home." He finally said.

"I do not question your love. I never will." Rhine looked into Keeta's eyes as he once more ran his fingers through her hair. "About the flowers and things... Trust me, in time you'll be more spoiled than a floofy foo-foo dog." He chuckled.

"Floofy foo-foo dog?" Keeta said raising an eyebrow and giving him a playful shove and then a hug.

"I appreciate you trying to think ahead."

Rhine gave Keeta one of those looks that was playfully fun and nothing more, but it still said I'm going to get you. He hugged her tight and enjoyed her warmth. "My mothers little family is in such an uproar lately," he finally said after a moments chuckle.

"Did I cause that?" she asked, half joking, but honestly curious if it was true. She supposed their relationship must be considered a bit scandalous.

"We're part of it. But, you know that saying things come in threes..." Rhine said as he caressed her face. "Cassara's mate Kaida is back. Cassara immediately sprung a proposal. And, not that it is as exciting as bliss and sex but Aurora Dawn is helping run a night club." He thought for a moment. "Guess that's four things..."

"Well only if you count the two things involving Kaida and Cass separately," she said with a smirk, tapping him on the nose.

"Aurora Dawn is helping run a night club huh? How did she get involved in that?"

"My mother fronted the money. The stipulation was that Aurora Dawn be employed. Frankly, I'm glade because it will get her out of the strip joints." He sighed despite his mates playful actions. "We generally tell our mother everything but that is one thing we've sworn secrecy about..."

"I don't blame you. I think Ceres would have a heart attack if she knew that. She has enough on her plate right now as it is..."

Rhine nodded. "Natalia grows stronger and they grows weaker." He sighed softly. It still pained him. He knew there was a while to go... Still, it was the fact of knowing. "But, I do not wish any longer of a life on them." He smiled as a tear slid down his cheek.

Keeta kissed him on the forehead and then leaned her head against his, wrapping her arms around him tighter. Her eyes were also glistening at the thought.

"I know it can't be as painful for me as it is for you, but understand that I do know some of what you're going through. It's hard for me to know that as well." She offered him a sad smile and wiped away the tear from his cheek.

"You know we need to do something," Rhine said suddenly as he abandon the previous conversation that had led to his mother. He didn't know what it was he wanted to do... But, anything was better than sitting around and being sad. "Are you hungry?"

No, she wasn't really hungry, but she could see that this would be something to help Rhine feel better for the moment.

"Sure, I didn't have much before I went to work," she said, getting up from his lap.

"If you have a better suggestion just speak up," Rhine said with a smile as he walked back stage to put his violin away. It didn't take him but seconds before he had her hand in his and was leading the way upstairs. "At least this apartment I won't have to scrub before I sell..."

"Oh?" Keeta asked curiously. "You don't want to leave it clean for the new owners?"

"This place with be a piece of cake to clean," Rhine chuckled. "The last place was hell with blood all over the walls, floors, and furniture... It was a task I did alone," he sad solemnly.

"Oh...."Keeta said, falling silent at that revelation. She knew some bad things had happened to members of this family in the past, and she suspected that the blood in the apartment had something to do with one of them. It was not a matter she would pursue, however, as the memory clearly bothered him. Keeta would deal with it only if and when Rhine chose to tell her about it.

"Sometime I'll tell you about it... Just not now. Cassara is still sensitive to it," he said as he opened the door for Keeta. "Ladies first." He quickly kissed her on the cheek. "What will it be?"

At the clue that the incident had to do with Cass, Keeta wondered if it was related to what Ceres had mentioned to excuse her behavior the first time she had met the strong-willed young woman. She pressed her lips together as she thought, realizing after a moment that Rhine had continued to speak to her. Shaking her head to bring herself back to the present, Keeta gave him a smile and entered the room.

"Oh...I don't know. Surprise me," she said, not in the mood for anything in particular.

"I have some whip cream, hot fudge, and strawberries..." Rhine said as he closed the door behind Keeta and gave her a good look over. He grinned a little goofier than normal. Something told him that she wasn't really that hungry and was just going along with it since it was what he suggested.

Keeta raised an eyebrow.

"I thought you said it was cramped in here and there was more company than usual."

"The kitchen table isn't packed. And, trust me for that dessert we won't need plates..." He said with a small purr as he wrapped his arms around her. "And, besides the 'dessert' will help conserve space we don't have." He chuckled a caressed her shoulder. He was purposely being playful to get a rise out of her that wasn't automated.

Keeta wanted to respond to his touch, but she wasn't much interested in the possibility of having Cass or Kaida walk in on them.

"The kitchen table isn't exactly private though...." she pointed out, giving him a look.

"My beds not packed," he chuckled. "And, I can almost positively assure you that they are either in their room or in the bathroom... If not out. Kaida is still adjusting to anything but night." He slowly placed several kisses along her neck. He was having a time just enjoying her, and teasing her.

And she was starting to enjoy playing hard-to-get just as much.

"And if she's having difficulty adjusting, then they could come home, or leave the room at any time...."

"Adjusting to the day light love. Kaida's much like Cassara in me except she got bit by a vampire." He began to nibble between the junction of neck and shoulder. "If you prefer I can take you to the island. I know of places that I can assure you that we won't be disturbed by anything remotely human."

Her resolve was starting to wear down at his attentions, but she wasn't going to 'give up' that easily, despite how much she wanted to just turn around and give him her own variety of attentions.

"And we would lose all track of time and I would be late picking up Joel..." Keeta knew her excuses were holding less water as time went on.

"We go and get Joel and drop him off with my mother... Then we politely tell her we are going for a moonlit stroll," he said as he continued to nibble. He hands slowly began to wonder.

"And she would see right through that..."

Rhine cleared his throat and looked Keeta in the eyes. "If you would like we can go and get Joel and bring him here. I bought a crib and a play pin the other day knowing that you would be around more." He smiled and caressed her cheek.

Keeta look at him in surprise.

"You....you didn't need to do that Rhine....I mean I have things I could have brought over."

"Keeta they are things you need for your home. There is no sense every time you come over packing up a diaper bag, toys, food, plus bedding just for a visit even if it isn't an extended one." He smiled. "So, with the exclusion of diapers becuase I didn't know what size everything's here... Somewhere..." he chuckled and ran his fingers through his hair. He hoped she would be happy.

"You're always thinking of things one step ahead," she said with a grateful smile. "Thank you Rhine."

"I love you," Rhine smiled and hugged Keeta tight. "And, anything you need I will provide becuase I want to. I am your mate." His kisses were a little less leading now.

"I love you too," she said, before returning the gentle kisses. "You sure you don't want to come over to my place so we don't disturb Cass and her mate? I could show you the painting I bought the other day. It's a Monet reproduction."

Rhine thought for a moment as he looked in the dirrection of Cassara's and Kaida's quarters. "Sure... But only for that painting." He teased. His grin told her that he was only picking. He really did like the idea of going to her place... It would be a lot less cramped.

Keeta stuck her tongue out at him, before digging in her purse for the mirror.

"Expect us to be squished a bit when we land in the bathroom," she said, grinning in apology for the size of the space.

"I bet I've landed in worse," Rhine chuckled. "... The armoire comes to mind." He took her hand. "You know once we get a good look at that panting we should go dancing- you know at my sisters club."

"Tonight?" she asked, glancing up at him from the mirror that she had successfully retrieved.

"I don't know if we have time to go dancing tonight since I have to pick up Joel in a couple hours. Maybe later this week?" she asked, hoping he wouldn't be too disappointed.

"Later this week it is then and I'll hold you to it." Rhine chuckled as he noticed she finally had her mirror. "You really should get a smaller purse or at least organize it..."

Keeta stuck her tongue out at him again and smacked him playfully, before grabbing his arm and taking them through the mirror.

Rhine found himself standing in the shower of her bathroom. "You know Keeta if you thought I needed one all you had to do was tell me," he chuckled as he pulled open the curtain. He was unshaken. It was as if he'd done it a thousand times.

Keeta chuckled, rolling her eyes, before taking his arm and pulling him into the hallway.
