She nodded. "Good to know I'm not the only one. My mum was a Slytherin, herself. Head Girl, even. And her parents...back as far as I've ever heard," she said. She purposely left out her father in that. He'd never attended Hogwarts, or any other magic school. The fact she was really a half-blood not something to go telling everyone. "Things have been quite chummy. Not something I quite understand, I suppose. I don't believe there's anything that's happened that would cause Slytherins to degrade themselves by socialising with Gryffs."

Seamus noted her not mention her father, or his parents, but decided not to mention it. Ooh, maybe he died. "Head Girl yeah? Are you aspiring?" He had no desire to be Head Boy. Not even remotely. Where's the fun in that? No place is where. Although his Da would probably be ecstatic.

Makala nodded. "Of course." She smirked. "Why not? Gives me even more of a chance to terrorize the Gryffindors," she replied. Not only that, but the power that came along with it was quite appealing to her. As a regular, she was below the prefects, the Head Boy and Girl, and the professors. As Head Girl, she'd only be below the professors, which was definatly the best deal to her. "Who's the current Head Girl?" she asked curiously, unsure of what house she was in.

"Ahh, Mellisande Volonté is Head Girl. She's one of us." Seamus rubbed the back of his head absently. He wasn't real sure how he knew that. Shrugging he added, "I don't follow a lot of that stuff. It doesn't appeal much to me. Not that you wouldn't be wonderful M, true. " He gave her a wink in jest. Power wasn't something Seamus usually avoided, but responsibility, when he'd rather have a good time, that he skirted like the plague. He tried to think about the last time he'd been content to sit and talk, like this. Unless it was Jana. But she was family.

"Mellisande Volonté?" Makala repeated. She couldn't say she'd ever heard of the girl, or her family. She nodded, glad the Head Girl was a Slytherin. "Good to know she's one of us." She paused, winking back at him after he'd winked at her. "Doesn't appeal do you, does it? Well that's a shame. I hardly know you yet, and I already think you'd do quite well as Head Boy."

Seamus smiled to himself. He hadn't went out of his way to make friends here, or any school he'd stopped at before coming here in the middle of last year, but he was finding himself enjoying Makala's company. "Maybe if there was a cute Head Girl, I could be persuaded." He teased.

She smiled slightly. "Oh? Well, I'm afraid that may take another...oh, three years?" she joked. She was enjoying Seamus's company. He was one of the few people she'd spoken to this year, but was more fun to talk to than the others.

"Ooh." Seamus said, "Yeah, that timetable's just not good for me." He laughed. "Although I haven't the slightest of what I'll do when I'm done here. Well, I'd really love.." He stopped himself, horrified. Bloody hell, I've got to watch myself. He swept a hand over his sweater, as though to remove lint that didn't exist. He decided to change the subject. " So have you got siblings? Do they want to be Heads too?"

Makala ignored the statement he'd cut off on, and addressed his question. "I have a brother, but he's already left Hogwarts to work for the Ministry in Spain. He was a prefect, never made it to Head though," she answered, rolling her eyes a bit. "I was amazed he managed prefect. He, unlike me, was caught everytime he cursed a Gryffindor."
She bit her lip slightly, unable to ignore what he was about to say any longer. She was insanley curious, and slightly irritated he hadn't just said it. Though she figured he thought it best not to tell everything to someone he'd just met, that seemed something that was ok to share. Finally, she asked. "What would you really love to do?"

Seamus frowned. What have we gotten ourselves into. His eyes flicked around the room as he weighed the pros and cons. I just can't. "I would really love to take you to the kitchen and show you how bloody brilliant I am in regards to hot chocolate. Famous secret recipe. Passed down from generations, blah blah." He smiled brightly, hoping to dazzle her.

She looked at him skeptically, knowing that hadn't been what he was going to say. But she decided to go along with it. "That brilliant, eh?" She stood, pushing a lock of her brown hair behind her ear. "Well, we'll just have to see about that." She walked towards the entrance to the common room, and stopped, looking back at him over her shoulder. "You coming or not?"

Grinning at her, Seamus stood as well. He was grateful to her for dropping it. He had learned his lesson."That brilliant. My father's been all over the world, and this is one of his better treasures." He joined her at the common entrance and offered her his arm.
OOC- Meet in the kitchen?

Makala grinned as well, linking arms with him. "All over the world? Sounds exciting," she said. She was wondering just how good this hot chocolate would be.
OOC - Yeah. See you there.

Leila walked into the room, looking around slightly. She had just came in just in time for the curfew bell to ring. She gave out a sigh in relief. She walked up the stairs to her room, not caring much for the other students. She walked back down the stairs and plopped herself onto a sofa, free from anyone. She did not really care at the moment what any of the students thought of her at the moment. She did not want ot be in the dorm alone so she stayed downstairs with whispers all over the place, better than only silence.

Seamus blustered down towards the dungeon, concerned about losing the watch. He barely had time to mumble "lecherous liquor" before entering the common room. He immediately went to the chair he had occupied hours before and scrutinized it. In the shadow thrown from the chair in the firelight, he saw a glint, and reached down. He pulled back his hand and inside lay his watch. "Bloody close that was." He shook his head, at his carelessness.
