Dogs are also prey to many parasites, such as fleas, ticks, and mites. Internal parasites (parasites inside the body) include hookworms, tapeworms, roundworms, and heartworms. These parasites can be lethal if not treated early. Kasai stared down the page, trying to understand its meaning a little better. The only part that he understood was that there was something about worms (a little kid would probably understand the same amount), but he didn’t know what it exactly meant. Kasai turned the page and continued reading.

Dogs are also prone to genetic ailments, such as hip dysplasia, luxating patellas, cleft palate, blindness, or deftness. Dogs may also be able to get much of the diseases that humans can get, such as diabetes, cancer, and arthritis. Kasai put the book down and rubbed his eyes. All the scientific medical terms were giving him a headache. Kasai rubbed the rest of his face before resuming reading.

Relating to diet, it is debated that whether dogs should be classified as omnivores or carnivores. They belong to the Order Carnivora, but they do not have to be restricted to meat only. Dogs are not dependent on a protein-only diet to fulfill its dietary needs. Dogs are able to digest a variety of grains and vegetables without inflicting harm upon itself. Kasai smiled, realizing that he could relate to the reading. When he was a child, his mother would always scold him because he wouldn’t eat anything except for meat. “You can eat vegetables if you try. They’re really good for you. Besides, I know you like them deep down inside…” Kasai grinned, reflecting on how cheesy his mother sounded.

However, many human foods, such as chocolate, onions, grapes, raisons, gum, certain sweeteners, and Macadamia nuts can be lethal to dogs. Certain plants, including caladium, dieffenbachia and philodendron can cause throat infections. Hops, amaryllis, daffodil, iris, tulips, foxglove, larkspur, yew, and oleander, among other things, can create various health problems that can be lethal. Kasai came back down to earth, now reminiscing of his parents’ death. No one knew exactly it happened, but then again, that’s how freak accidents occur. Kasai sniffled a bit, but put on a brave face just in case someone was looking.

Household poisons are also lethal. (“Oh duh,” mutters Kasai.) Many household cleaners, such as ammonia, bleach, disinfectants, drain cleaners, soaps, detergents, and many other substances can be lethal in swallowed. Cosmetics such as deodorants, nail polish and remover, and similar can also be dangerous if ingested. Kasai stifled a snicker because the complete obviousness of the text. ANYBODY would have been able to figure that out. Kasai was still grinning as he turned the page.

Dogs also have a strange tendency to eat animal feces (Kasai let out a laugh). Dogs occasionally eat their own feces, or the feces of other dogs. Some dogs are also known to eat cat, deer, cow, and horse feces. There is no known reason why dogs do this, but boredom, hunger, and nutritional needs (Kasai laughed again) may be a factor. Kasai had a wide grin on his face this time. This is probably why he liked to spend so much time at the library: all the interesting (and humorous) topics available for him to read.
Kasai looked at the clock on the library wall. He had reading a lot longer than he realized and he should be hurrying back to the training grounds if he didn’t want to be late. Kasai grabbed the book and ran up the front desk to borrow it. After getting the okay, he ran through the door and towards the training area.

Lehran finally reached the library, he was a little tiered from running around a village like Konoha, and asking for directions to three difrent people. The worst part was having them think the circus was in town because of his clothing, he just ignored all who said that.
Afterwards he went inside as he asked the reseptionist for assist on finding the books he needed the most. After a few minutes of searching he was able to find a treat injury book, aswell as an Anatomy book, and a genjutsu book for his sister. He opened an account and took a ticket to ensure he had the books, he did not plan on loosing them. He then took off and ran towards the Medows once more, placing the three books he had on his backpack.

Abel rolled from his post on the edge of the roof to see Kimiko. "I feel like killing something." he said in a monotone voice. His eyes shifted to a deep dark stare trying her resistance to the sex appeal he knew he had. Abel opened his lips to look up at the stars and to escape from the fact that he wanted to feel her skin agaisnt his fingers, to brush her lips and unsip the zipper that kept him so deeply annoyed.

Kimiko looked over at Abel when she heard his voice. She sighed knowing she was begining to become bored with this as well. The dark skinned girl stood up and scratched the back of her head lazily. She watched the look he was giving her quite intently. That look made her want to walk over and push him off the building for trying it on her. She used the look often herself when she wanted something. She smirked and looked away, moving to turn herself around. She took a second to get herself comfortable as she laid herself down on her back to look upwards. "You could kill that look on your face. I don't fall that easily. I'm bored...there's nothing good to do..." She said in a cute whinning voice.

"It's better than going back to that ******** hell hole." Abel grimaced at the stars, the hate in his face bleed out of his soul. He stood up to stretch and walked over to the other side of the building which faced the forest. A small squirrel ran across a branch and a bigger one followed. Abel scoffed at the sight of the creatures and picked a small peice of concrete to throw at them as they passed. He sighed and turned back to Kimiko, "Kimiko.... don't be such wonderful company i might just have to kiss you again." He said sacastically.

Kimiko's eyes followed Abel's body as though it was glued to it. A faint smirk graced her lips as she put her hands behind her head as a pillow. The cement hurt the back of her head but she didn't have anything to put behind her as a pillow so her hands would have to do. She giggled lightly as she saw Abel get a bit frustrated she didn't fall for his ploy. "Don't take it out on the poor little fluffies, Abel," Kimiko teased. She sighed and closed her eyes for a moment before returning her gaze to him. "Sit down before you end up falling off the roof for being dumb." Kimiko pat the place beside her before closing her eyes and smirking at his last comment. "Well, at least kissing you would be more fun than sitting here and being so damn bored." The cat-like girl giggled a bit and opened her eyes just a bit to where she could give him a wink and close her eyes again.

"Yeah.." Abel smiled at the thought of kissing her again. He went to sit next to her. "So whats your deal?" He said not looking down to see her reaction he was more interested in gazing up. "Why are you like me?" Abel droped the happiness in his voice, feeling lonely and cruel was his speacilty it didn't make sense for a girl like kimiko to feel the same way.

Kimiko kept her eyes closed as he asked her a question. She brought one hand down with a strand of her hair. The purple hair was twirled around her long, thin fingers as she sighed deeply. "I'm crazy. What else can I say?" Her voice was devoid of emotion now as her yellow eyes resurfaced to look upwards. She was used to being called psychotic and crazy. Bi-polar and insane. Think of a name, she's been called it. Her hidden liking for pain and joy she felt as she made fun of people wasn't normal. She knew that for a fact. But, she couldn't stop it. She remembered how odd she was and sighed once again. If Abel were to realize how messed up she was, he'd probably not want to talk to her. Friends wasn't something people wanted to be with her. Her yellow eyes found themselves locked on his face. "-and you? What's your deal. Why are you so like me?" Kimiko was sure his reason was better than her's. Afterall, she didn't give him much of a reason anyway.

Abel smiled at her reply he certainly agreed with her, but he was happy she was so violent and crazy. "Well I don't know I wouldn't say I'm crazy, but I'm deffinately not normal. And hurting things makes me happy. It makes me feel strong and I guess throwing stones at squirrels is better than taking a knife to the person I really want to hurt." He took a sigh and yawned "Damn I'm bored"

Kimiko kept her eyes on him as he spoke. She was tempted to do something but kept herself down. "I like causing pain as well. As well as recieve a bit of it." She smirked and sat up so that she was slightly closer to him. "And just who is it that you wish to hurt~?" She mused as she turned her head towards him and leaned in quite a bit so that her lips barely touched the skin of his neck. She kissed his neck lightly and backed up enough so that she could look him in the eyes. "I think I have a way to be unbored." She returned her lips to his neck and licked a small portion of his exposed skin. Kimiko could practically smell the blood beneath his skin. The way his skin smelt was sweet. So sweet...she couldn't help but take a bite. Her fang-like teeth nipped at his skin lightly, teasing his skin. Then, she placed another kiss on his neck before biting down deeply and breaking his skin so that a flow of blood trickled into her mouth. Her mouth was on fire as she drank a bit of his blood. She tore herself away from his neck and licked the small drop that was left from his new wound he'd given her. The purple haired girl smirked as a small little drop of his blood remained on her plump lips.
