UPDATED - 7-17-09

Name: Adelle Taylor – Adie to her friends
Codename: Shard

Team: Alpha

Age: 20
Birthday: December 13th, 1991
Hair: Light blonde with a few natural highlights. It falls in natural curls down to the middle of her back.
Eyes: Her eyes are a piercing blue, constasting sharply with the white-blonde of her hair.
Skin Tone: Adelle is soft pink skin, which is pale, but flawless. As she spends more time outside she does tan, but her skin is always a lighter tone, just like her hair.
Height: 5’10”
Weight: 127 lbs
Build: She is extremely flexible, and athletic, as she loves to be involved with sports. She is an Olympic level gymnast, and was scheduled to be a part of the Olympic team, though she was unable to attend due to an ankle injury.
Race/Nationality: Adelle is Caucasian, with some German ancestry.
Notable Characteristics: Her most notable characteristic is a tattoo on her lower hip, which is hardly ever visible. It is a small black ahnk, showing her fascination with ancient Egyptian history.
Uniform: Considerably more revealing than her previous uniform, it consists of two pieces. The darker blue fabric is a synthetic weave that is much stronger than it looks, though it appears to look like an oiled latex and breaths like cotton. Her midriff is completely exposed, and the waistline of the bottom piece forms a deep V, though still tasteful. She wears a pair of elbow-length gloves and a knee-high boots to complete the ensemble. The gloves are the same material as the rest of the outfit, but the boots are made of leather, and have a 2" heel on them. There are two metal arm bands that connect a very thin, glowing blue wire to her gloves, some piping along the legs of the suit also shining the same color. That is so the suit phases as she does, leaving her constantly clothed in the heat of battle.
(--X-- The silver / metal looking parts are painted black)
Standard Dress: She is known for being fashionable, yet confortable. She loves to wear things that show off her figure, while at the same time cover the things that need to be covered. It is rare for her to be seen in something other than heels or boots, but this does occasionally happen. Her favorite colors to wear are black, and red. She still hates anything the color pink.

Superhuman Ability: Adelle has the ability to “de-molecularize” herself, allowing her to “walk through” any solid object. Because of this, she also has developed very limited teleportation abilities, meaning that she can travel instantly from one place to another, though there are certainly limits. One, she has to be able to see where she is going the first time she teleports there. In addition to this, she can take up to three people with her at a time. A recent manifestation of her powers is that she can spread her molecules extremely thin, giving her a transparent appearance. In the dark, this can almost appear to be invisibility. In this state, however, she has a hard time gripping solid objects, and unlike her phasing, this does not trasmit to other people.User Image
Abilities (not gained from mutation) : Being a dancer and a gymnast, she is extremely flexible, and quick. Recently, she has been working on being an offensive player, learning how to use knives and small weapons in combat. Paired with her quickness and flexibility, she is a force to be reckoned with.

Place of Birth: Boston, MA
Family:
Mother – Janice Taylor
Father – Michael Taylor

Personal Strengths: Adelle is capable of fitting into extremely tight places, making her ideal when it comes to reconnaissance. Furthermore, she is able to think on her feet, and while she might not always “follow the plan”, she is known for delivering. She is also good when it comes to motivating those around her, even if it might be in a different way than most. Furthermore, she is infintely more confident in herself and her abilities than she was as a student, and from that she has become more emotionally open. She had changed from the shy girl that would almost never start a conversation with someone to a girl that knows what she wants and how she wants to get it. This has lead her to become more of a leader, putting her always caring nature into more use in an attempt to help the younger students as she was helped when she came to the Academy. Her level of physicality is also a plus and she is, as mentioned before, an Olympic level gymnast.
Personal Weaknesses: At times, Adelle can now get so preoccupied with other people and trying to help them that she sometimes forgets to take care of herself. Furthermore, her genuine want to help can quickly turn into over-protection of those closest to her, as well as emotional distress when she is worried something might be wrong. She still feels a need for validation from other people, particularly Thomas and her closest friends. It is because of this that she had an intense fear of failure, and will thusly over work herself in an attempt to compensate for her shortcomings, even then they may not be there.
User ImagePersonality: In the past year, Adie has blossomed from the shy girl that couldn't hardly stand to start a conversation with someone she didn't know, to a girl that flits from one social circle to the next. She always has time for her close friends, though at this point she considers herself on good terms with pretty much everyone. While she can sometimes be a "mother hen" to those she cares most about, she genuinely cares for those around her, and will do whatever it takes to keep them out of danger. She is still as easy to talk to as ever, and she still considers herself a good listener, which most people would agree with.

Hobbies: Adelle is very gifted when it comes to performance arts. She is very talented when it comes to dancing, and enjoys doing so in the privacy of her own room. It is the same with singing – particularly when it comes to jazz music. Furthermore, she is very talented when it comes to gymnastics, and was once offered a spot on the Olympic team, though due to an injury she was unable to compete. She loves to read, and sometimes even writes, though no one ever sees her own work. Currently, she is on a classical literature kick, and can't get enough old books!
User Image
View on Human/Mutant Relations: She really wants peace between the mutants and the humans, which stems from her want for acceptance. She wants, more than anything, to lead a “normal life”, and she feels that by bridging the gap between them, this is the first step towards achieving this, without subjecting herself as a mutant to the persecution of the humans. She understands that there is nothing wrong with her, but she wants others to see this as well.

History:
Adelle was born to Michael and Janice Taylor, in the suburbs of Boston. As a child, she grew up happily, her parents being active members of the political community. As a child she did gymnastics and won several honors and competitions. This, of course, made her parents extremely proud, but they also began to push her into that life more than a girl of 13 or 14 would really be interested in. While she had always been different from the other kids, she did not know that things were about to get a whole lot more complicated. As the hand of her parents began to tighten around what she could and could not do, since everything she did reflected back on her parents, Adelle did what any 15 year old girl would do. She rebelled.

Flirting with older men, sneaking out at night to hang out with the wrong crowd, getting involved in shop lifting and even smoking for a little while, she did everything she could think of that her parents forbade her from doing, just for the act of doing it. Of course, for fear of getting caught she tried to be as discrete as possible, and avoid all media attention. One particular night, her powers first manifested when a fight broke out at the party she was at. One of the brawlers pulled out a gun, though when someone tackled him to the floor, the gun fired, straight in Adelle's direction. The bullet hit the wall directly behind her, and as it turned out, she had phased directly through the bullet. She had never been shot at before, hell, she had never even been in a room with a gun, and because of that, she suddenly found herself very afraid.

Terrified, she ran home and tried to sleep, thinking that this was all just some weird dream or coincidence. However, as she was having a nightmare aboutUser Image the whole shooting incident, her emotions running wild, she phased straight through the bed and floor, landing on a coffee table in the living room. Her parents came out to find a very confused, scared Adelle and it was then that she told them everything that she had been doing. They decided to send her to therapy for a while, since she was 16, and rather than rejoin the lifestyle she had left behind, Adelle threw herself into her school and gymnastics, which she excelled in. She worked so hard that she was offered a spot on the U.S. Olympic team, which she was all too happy to accept. However, during a training session, her powers manifested themselves once more while she was working on a complicated balance beam routine. She phased straight through the beam as she attempted to land a backflip, her ankle smashing into the steel supports for the beam. And that was the end of her Olympian career for the time being.

However, as Adelle tried to explain what happened to her parents, there was only one explanation that they could come up with. Her Uncle was a mutant, and therefore it was entirely possible that the gene had been passed on to her. Consulting the family physician, who would keep all of this quiet, a DNA test confirmed that she did carry the Mutant X gene, and he recommended that she find a way to get more control over her powers, so they were not manifesting themselves at random, inopportune times. While her parent's researched where the best place to send her was, Adie practiced her powers in private, only really User Imagegoing out to go to school. She was starting to get the hang of it, though they did not always work when she wanted them to, but at least she was able to keep from phasing through things when she did not want to.

At the end of the semester, her parents announced that they were going to be sending her to Xavier's Academy, and that she really did not have a choice in the matter. Adie was none to happy with this decision, especially because it meant leaving behind all the friends and life that she had worked so hard to form here. However, she agreed to go along with it, grumbling the whole way. If she was going to have to go to a school for mutants, at least it was a nice one from what she had seen in the brochure.

Since arriving at the Academy, Adelle has taken to it like a fish takes to water. She has mane several new friends in Kryhin, Isabella and Carlos, and even has a small crush on someone, who shall remain nameless. Everything seems to be falling into place, including her powers. Control is still sporadic, but the missions she has been involved in have really helped her hone her abilities, and she has never felt better really. Looking forward to a semester of classes at her new school, Adelle started the new semester with not a care in the world. Things were progressing with Thomas, and the two finally had the chance to go out on a date, just the two of them, on which Thomas asked Adelle to "go steady" with him before he kissed her. It was one of the most romantic moments she ever experienced, but even that was cut short with the announcement that the Hellions were now attacking the school in an attempt to get Gideon.

The pair returned to the school, breaking apart to help different teams as the onslaught continued. Adie did her best to move the injured to the infirmary, but with all the chaos around her, it only made it that much more obvious that she needed to step up her training again. These chaotic situations seemed to be too much for her, and she found that she had a hard time getting complete control of where she was phasing / teleporting when she was in an extremely stressful situation. As it wound to a close, she found her confidence shaken in the school and the other teams, wandering who could find justification for attacking their friends and home? How can things go back to the way they were?

Name: Donnovan Vince
Codename: Ninth Eye

Academy X Student Team: Team Omega

Age: 18
Birthday: April 22
Hair: Brown
Eyes: Aquamarine, or orange when Truesight is active
Skin Tone: Caucasian
Height: 5'10"
Weight: 155 lbs
Build: Muscular
Race/Nationality: Canadian (Earth 233)

Notable Characteristics: Donnovan has an oval of semi-circular scars on his right forearm where a poorly-restrained Skrull prisoner bit him during an interrogation in a fruitless attempt to escape; the wounds became infected and had to be seared clean, and pale scar tissue remains in the area. His eyes, normally a sort of sea-color, become a burnt orange when he activates his truesight.

Uniform: A military kid through years of lack of choice, Donnovan's "upbringing" is reflected in his uniform, not unlike the one he wore upon arrival on Earth 620. A seamless black jumpsuit with integrated gloves and socks stretches from his toes to the top of his neck; around his wrists, shoulders, and throat the fabric is crimson, a change designed to conceal the thickening of the uniform over vital and commonly targeted arteries and to stay within Team Omega's designated colors. He wears either tough hiking shoes or soft-soled ones, depending on whether he expects to need to be sneaky; in either case, the shoes are black.

Standard Dress: Earth 620 presents the opportunity of choice of clothing to Donnovan, and he doesn't really know where to begin with the bewildering array of options. There's something about baggy, casual clothing that rebels against the life he used to lead, however, so he tends toward loose jeans, T-shirts, and hooded sweatshirts that are a little too big for him. He cannot bring himself to wear any shoes that are not closed-toed, a habit from older days he simply finds impossible to break, and so almost always wears tennis shoes.

Place of Birth: London, Ontario (Earth 233)
Family: Father: Thomas Vince (factory worker)
Mother: Anna Yeller Vince (factory worker)
Sister: Anna Vince Jr. (factory worker)

Superhuman Ability: Donnovan has truesight, meaning that he can pierce illusions and see shapeshifters in their true forms. In an offshoot of the same ability, he is able to detect spoken lies. The two combine to make him the perfect counterspy, a role in which he was employed for much of his life so far.

Abilities (not gained from mutation): Donnovan went through intense training to prepare him for his counter-espionage role, and as a result he reads body language very well, and is often able to spot items concealed within a person's clothing (usually weapons or explosives). He taught himself to pick locks with some proficiency.

Non-mutant power skills:
N/A so far

Power Levels:

Physical Strength: 3
Speed: 4
Durability: 3
Intelligence: 8
Energy: 3
Agility: 4
Power Mastery: 7
(Total 32 Points of 35 Possible)

Personal Strengths: Donnovan possesses a discipline seldom seen in teenagers, as well as a willingness to adapt and learn new tactics. Very little scares him; he has seen his comrades die in hails of plasma fire and stared vicious aliens in the face for half a decade. He understands emotions acutely, is very good at reading them in the posture and tone of others, and is almost as good at keeping them in check inside himself.

Personal Weaknesses: Donnovan knows nothing of the history, current events, customs, traditions, or catchphrases common on Earth 620; his academic learning, considered unimportant by his military tutors, is either far behind what it should be for his age or utterly irrelevant in a new dimension. Though he understands emotions and mental states, he tends to see people as objects to be studied and not individuals to be interacted with, and is fairly slow to trust. He has never had the opportunity to date anyone, and doesn't quite know what to make of women.

Personality: Donnovan is detached by necessity; he learned the hard way over the course of his life so far that the people you care about are the ones that tend to get hurt the worst and the most often. He is analytical, often treating introductions as fact-gathering missions and investigating any room he enters almost subconsciously. Sometimes considered intrusive, he is truthfully just curious and cautious, a combination that sometimes leads him to the brink of paranoia and can push people away. He cares very much for those he comes to trust, but his way of showing it is being paranoid for them, too, which rarely goes over well.

Hobbies: Donnovan has never had time for hobbies before, and is discovering that actually doing things is not so easy as imagining them. He attempted painting but ended up unsatisfied with his work. Changing medium, he began to sculpt small figurines out of soapstone, an activity that relaxes him and in which he can see his work steadily improving. Regrettably, it is also very messy, generating huge amounts of dust, and the tools and materials have not proven particularly cheap, so whether he will continue with it remains in question. Maybe he'll play an instrument someday.

Mutant/Human Relations View: Coming from a world where Humans used Mutants as tools, and being beaten nearly to death by anti-mutant fanatics in his first moments on Earth 620, Donnovan has a fairly low opinion of non-Mutants largely because he seems them as violent and intolerant; in his experience, most have been. He feels that the two sides will never coexist, and that Mutants need a homeland somewhere far away from the prejudices of their normal cousins.

History: Earth 233 is a grim place indeed, though the grimness is necessary for survival. After devastating attacks by the Skrull Empire, a far more aggressive version than exists in most realities, the world came to be ruled by a United Monarchy and regressed politically into a sort of industrial Feudalism. The only son of Thomas and Anna Vince, Donnovan, was born into the peasant class; his parents worked the factories, producing armaments to continue the deadly Shadow Wars against Skrull infiltrators. Their fate might have been the same as that of their first child, but when he was five, and with a new baby sister, his latent mutant abilities were discovered.

All children on Earth 233 were tested periodically for genetic anomalies, which were exceedingly uncommon but highly sought after by the military. Agent Nine of the Seventeenth Corps, as he came to be called, probably had a very different mutant ability from the one he came to possess after heavy medical conditioning; his Homo Superior gene was manipulated until it made him suited for the role of an Eye, or a living Skrull detector. Soon afterward came the mental conditioning mixed with the interaction training; through repetition and reinforcement both positive and negative, he learned over several years to do two vital things: to trust his section handler, Lieutenant Colonel Karl Sanders, and to use his Truesight.

At the age of eight, Agent Nine was deployed to the streets of the Monarchy's North American capital at Ottawa, relocated from Denver, Colorado after the latter's destruction during the Fifth Skrull Incursion. There were few Skrulls to locate here, and Agent Nine never found any of them, but he did prove his worth on criminal cases and as an interrogator, provided the situation did not prove too intense and Sanders was present to back him up. He was shuttled down at age eleven to comb the New York Hazard Zone for Skrull agitators, and there encountered his first alien. Alongside Sanders, he assisted in patrols up and down the East Coast, never making a combat kill personally but causing the deaths of seven enemy infiltrators through his testimony.

Any hope of further slow steps was erased when the Third Skrull Shadow War began in earnest; millions of the aliens infiltrated major cities across the globe, and vast numbers of Eyes were brought together to secure the Monarchy's most important cities and production centers. The process saw the death of most of the Seventeenth Corps in a bloody ambush in San Francisco, including Lieutenant Colonel Sanders, a process which caused the fourteen year-old Agent Nine severe mental trauma. He was shuttled into the Third Corps, damaged but not as close to destruction, until the Skrull retreat eleven months later.

Nine and the other three survivors of the formerly thirty five-strong Seventeenth Corps were awarded the Crimson Star in recognition of their valiant service, and each was given an "artificially intelligent handler". In Nine's case, this was DT, a little fist-sized metal box that spouted alerts and propaganda. High Command did not realize that they needn't have bothered; even the survivors of the Seventeenth might as well have been dead to them. Two committed suicide over the next month, and the third was committed to a mental institution. Nine managed to persuade his superiors that he was competent, but that could not have been further from the truth.

Nine was assigned to act as personal guard to a prominent diplomat, en route to negotiate the formal end of the war with the Skrulls. From that position he sought some means of escape from the only life he knew, reasoning that most any fate would be better but also that he was not yet ready to die. Gradually he learned of a plot to use a newly built dimensional gateway, aboard the very command vessel upon which he was stationed, to kidnap "recruits" from parallel worlds in order to match the Skrulls for manpower, and realized that this was his chance. Over several months, he practiced picking locks, reasoning that he could defeat the electrical security around the gate by avoiding it entirely.

At last, he put his plan into action, and managed to both escape through the gateway and destroy it behind him with stolen plastic explosives. Unfortunately, he landed in New York City in the midst of a group of hysterical anti-mutant thugs; his sudden appearance from thin air did nothing to change their minds, and he would have been beaten to death if not for the timely intervention of Scott Summers, who happened to be in the area. Saved by remarkable good luck, he decided to continue along the same path. He knew nothing about this new world into which he had fallen, and his rescuer's offer of a place to get away from the rabid fanatics and catch up on the learning he'd missed was eagerly accepted.

And so, Ninth Eye came to Academy X.

His first year there was a quiet one, spent in intensive study as he attempted to make up for all the study opportunities he had lost along with his chance for a childhood. He interacted with precious few, wanted to interact with fewer, and used most of his time either staring at books or over his shoulder, still worried that someone from home might come looking for him. But they did not, and as the year wound down, he began to become less on edge. Slowly but surely, he began to emerge into a more stable existence, and though he will never forget what he barely managed to leave behind, the process proved that there might yet be hope for him to retain his sanity.

x-The Madder Hatter-x
User ImageName: Madison [Maddy] Constance Doyle
Codename: Ammo

Academy X Student Team:Omega
Age: 17
Birthday: November 20
Hair: Brunette, dyed Black; cut short and choppy.
Eyes: Grayish Blue
Skin Tone: Light White
Height: 5' 10"
Weight: 123 lbs
Build: Scrawny and tall
Race/Nationality: Irish, German, Polish
Noteable Characteristics: no overly distinctive marks or traits to mention.
Standard Dress: Normally just comfortable jeans, skate shoes even though she can't skate, and a tight black shirt always printed on with the name of some punk, goth, 90's rock or classic rock band and a blue string bracelet her sister made for her in art class

Place of Birth: Boston, Massachusettes
Family:
Father: Thomas Doyle: mutant hating
Mother: Catherin Muser: deceased
Little sister: Sarah Doyle: 7 "and three-quarters" years old, to young to know if she is a mutant or not
Uncle: Kevin D. Muser: Physical mutation, took Maddy in

Superhuman Ability: Madison has the ability to consciously create psychic projectiles. She uses the sharp objects as throwing knives and arrows. Merely touching them has an adverse effect on anybody but her, so she can't arm her allies with them.

The blades can vary in length, maxing out around 5 feet. Creating longer blades takes more mental and physical energy, and, because of this limitation, she usually limits it to a three foot arrow length. She can make about around thirty of these [enough to fill a quiver and some extra] with out draining herself too much.

Abilities (not gained from mutation): A quick thinker underpressure

Non-mutant power skills:
Bow/ Arrows: Intermediate
Small Weapons: Beginner

Power Levels:

Physical Strength: 3
Speed: 2
Durability: 3
Intelligence: 8
Energy: 3
Agility: 5
Power Mastery: 4

Personal Strengths:
Smart, witty, and artistic
Personal Weaknesses: [/coloor] Is incredibly impatient and isn't very good at comforting distressed individuals. Easily frustrated with herself and her powers.
Personality: Smart, and likes to flaunt it when she can. Thrives off of positive reinforcement, but hates to be patronized. Personable, thinks she's funny yet isn't very, hates to be insulted. Never deals out the first punch.
Hobbies: Very interested in archery, medicine drawing, reading fiction and comic books, and getting in to random political arguments OUTSIDE of the mutant-human relations issue.

Mutant/Human Relations View: Madison Doyle always avoids a full out fight when she can, so consequently she tries to live peacefully with the homo sapiens. However, she is very bias against them and their ability to accept the new and changing world, having read way to many history books for her age. However, it's a bias she prefers to keep to herself.

History: Madison was born in Boston to two humans. She grew up with a loving a mutant uncle, whom, after her mother was killed in an accident involving a mutant terrorist she had to leave the house to visit due to her now mutant hating father.

The man's bear-like appearence kept him from going out into public un-gawked at, so he prefered to stick around the house, prefering his niece's company to the random insults on the street. Her little sister grew up not being able to see him personally, only knowing of her relative through stories Maddy told in secret and through pictures.

When her powers manifested themselves at the age of fifteen, she was able to affectively hide the mutation from her father with the help and training of her uncle. He even gave her the nickname "Ammo," though Maddy finds it to be completely lacking finesse. This all lasted about three months before it all happened. One night after returning late, her father confronted her about her visits to his brother-in-law's. He began a full out tirade, which ended in hinm trying to hit his daughter. To protect herself she made a small blade, which, shocked, he tried to grab away from her. The blade burnt his hand, giving her time to escape. She ran from the house and hid at her uncle's for the night, only sneeking back in her house at night to pack some clothes and money into a duffel bag. Feeling guilty for leaving her, she left behind her old stuffed black bear just inside of her sleeping sister's room.

She stayed with her Uncle Kevin's duplex for over a year and a half before mounting anti-mutant feelings in her school and town led her to leave her uncle in Boston [he refused to come] and head to New York, searching for the place she had heard whispered about by her Uncle: Xavier's School for Gifted Youngster's.

In her mind it is like Slavery and that thing with the jews and Nazi's all over again. If people could learn to accept those that are different, then she would be happy.

History:
Victoria Cassady-Anne Alvisio was born to a dying mother Halloween night in Sicily, Italy. Her mother and father were to be married two months later, but she died after getting the chance to hold Victoria. A week after the young infant was born, there was a funeral and only her family was there. Being born their first planned child made her their only child. In her early years, Adam Alvisio put Victoria before anything else. As she got older he began to get distant. Angelica's family wanted nothing to do with the infant and Adam. Blaming both for her death.

Picking up her first camera at the age of five was the first sign that Victoria was to become a Photographer. Growing up on a farm gave her plenty of chances to go horseback riding and get perfect pictures. During her time on her fathers farm, he also began to show her how to use a sword(Though not much) and she was signed up for gymnastics, but she rarely went choosing to skip it and show back up at the end of each session. She loved living in the country away from human contact where she could see the stars at night.

When Victoria hit the age of fifteen a woman named Samantha Guishart showed up on the farms doorstep. The woman sat Adam and Victoria down and warned them of the 'changes' to Victoria that could happen. This warning sent Adam into a rage and he threw her out and told her never to return. Victoria later learned that the woman was her mothers sister, making Samantha her aunt. A few months later the 'changes' that they had been warned about began to occur. The first sign was when Victoria had gone into a crying fit while playing with candles. Having no control of her powers, or even knowing about them, she nearly burned her room down. The next sign of this was when her father was cooking and she was mad at him for not letting her go to as friends party. She had flung a pencil(not wanting to physically hurt him) at him while he cooked and the fire on the stove suddenly jumped out at him.

After a many months of the fire incidents randomly happening Xavier and Scott came to get her. Looking back at all the chaos she had caused, Victoria and Adam decided that this was the best thing. She only went under the condition that Snowfire (Her favorite horse) could go with her. Two days after arriving at Academy X and Victoria's anger had flared, having gotten enough of the instructors, she accidentally made fire appear on a nearby tree. She later tried to recreate this incident, only controlled, but wasn't able to. She now resides in Academy X trying to control and understand her Abilities.

White Prince of Hellfire

Name: Victor Deveraux
Codename: Diamont

Academy X Student Team: **Requesting Omega**

Age: 19
Birthday: February 14
Hair: Blond
Eyes: Crystal Blue
Skin Tone: Fair
Height: 6'0"
Weight: 155
Build: Toned
Race/Nationality: French

Noteable Characteristics: Striking blue eyes, slightly accent

Uniform: Victor's uniform resembles mostly that of a wetsuit, consisting of a sleeveless black top and skin tight pants with a blood red stripe running down the left side of the suit. He dons a black and red X utility belt and gloves with a pair of black and red boots. Occasionally he wears a pair of black shades with red lenses.

Standard Dress: Victor is never anything less than fashionable.

Place of Birth razz aris, France
Family: Father-Deceased
Mother: Deceased
Brother: Varian Deveraux - Telekinesis

Superhuman Ability:--Ability to become and create an organic diamond compound. (Just like Emma's Secondary Mutation)

This ability allows Victor to turn into a living, mobile diamond form, granting him substantial resistance to damage and superhuman strength. While mostly invulnerable to physical damage in diamond form, like a real diamond Victor can still sustain damage if struck correctly on his flaw (by breaking or shattering).

If shattered, he can control the majority of the fragments, and over time, reassemble himself—(Kind of like Dust, but slower.)

Resistance to the elements when in diamond form, enhanced stamina, and is self-contained, requiring no food, water, or oxygen to survive until returning to human form.

Weakness:

While he is in diamond form, he loses the ability feel emotion that drives a person. While human, he might love his brother—But while in diamond form, he will know that he loves him, but he wont really feel it. He acts as though he can—But its actually absent.

Shifting back and fourth is very draining to him. His shifting into a diamond form is at times uncontrolled, brought on by a need to defend—Either himself or someone else.

If knocked unconscious he reverts to human form.

Abilities (not gained from mutation):

Non-mutant power skills:
Martial Arts:Intermediate
Fencing: Intermediate

Power Levels:

Physical Strength (1-10):4 (7 in diamond form)
Speed (1-10):4
Durability (1-10):4 (7 in diamond form)
Intelligence (1-10):5
Energy (1-10):5
Agility (1-10):4
Power Mastery (1-20):7

Personal Strengths:Strong-willed, loyal, and powerful

Personal Weaknesses:Slightly cold, tends to be emotionless, and logical

Personality:stoic sort of slightly cold type. Victor's main problem was that he isn't very good at forming bonds with people but when he does their as unbreakable as diamond. He'll go to the ends of the earth for those he considers worthy and erase any sign of those he doesn't. He's a strong person because he has to be and doesn't want to ever lose sight of those he loves.

Hobbies:Shopping, Painting, Sculpting

Mutant/Human Relations View: Victor has a very elitist attitude when it comes to the human/mutant relationship. He believes that as homo superior mutants should have the power. He doesn't seek to cause disruptions with this view but when given that chance to assert his authority he does so.

History:Victor spent much of his childhood gallivanting around the world with his family. They were world class travelers, working in one Australia one day and the Brazil the next. Much of his childhood is obscured by memories of foreign family and friends. They finally settled in New York, taking jobs and immigrating fully into the country.

Victor settled into the life they were trying to build and abhorred every minute of it. He felt, out of place in the presence of such people and because of this fact he always found himself assuming control of all that happened in his town.

Life for him was great up until the day his powers activated. That day started as normal as any other. He rode in the back of the car with his brother as his parents sat in the front, arguing on their way home. He wanted more and grew tired of the way they slipped into a more complacent lifestyle. He never wanted such a thing but as the conversation hit a surging point the car swerved and ran into incoming traffic. At that moment his powers activated, shifting him into his diamond form. His life was saved but their parents didn't survive the crash. For weeks on end Victor would remain in diamond form, opting to not feel instead of feel the loss. He stuck close to his brother up until the moment he joined the students at the school. After about a year he's learned much more than he's ever knew and has grown to accept the deaths of his parents as signs of the frailty and weakness of humanity. He now steps into the new year, ready to see just how tough his meddle is.

Much of his childhood is obscured by memories of foreign family and friends. They finally settled in New York, taking jobs and immigrating fully into the country.

His brother Victor manifested his power that night and survived-- And then hearing of the death of his parents-- Varian's own powers emerged.

Skin Tone: Medium skin tone
Height: 5'7"
Weight: 130 lbs
Build: Slender
Race/Nationality: American (Half Native-American)
Notable Characteristics: Her colorless eyes and the fact that she often doesn't wear shoes which has caused her feet to develop a tougher exterior to counter act rough ground.
Uniform: Black suit that has long sleeves and a high collar for protection. The feet of her uniform are designed to leave her toes and heels bare so she always maintains contact with the ground. She does have the option with the uniform to cover her feet if necessary. Around the top of her uniform, she wears what almost looks like a red over-shirt that is fastened tight around her torso but the sleeves flow over her arms. (Almost looks like Mai's top from Avatar: The Last Airbender)

Standard Dress: She can be rather plain in what she wears mostly because she can't see her clothing and has no care for how it looks. Sunny often wears long skirts or dresses because she likes the feel.

Place of Birth: Los Angeles, California
Family:
Father: River Whitehawk (Restaurant owner, water mutation)
Julia Schmidt Whitehawk (Mother, no mutation)

Superhuman Ability: Ceres is an earth manipulator. She is able to 'talk' to the earth around her to have it work with her will and also to allow her to 'see' what is around her. Her skill is still developing, but she is able to manipulate the ground around her to create changes in terrain within a twenty yard radius. (Such as creating rock formations or pushing roots and other substances up out of the ground, pushing the ground apart, etc.) She also can use the earth to create rock like weapons for use. 'Seeing' what is around her extends to this twenty yard radius where she is able to visualize objects (including people) attached to the ground.

Non-mutant power skills:
Self-defense (beginner)
Small weapons (beginner)

Power Levels:

Physical Strength (1-10): 3
Speed (1-10): 3
Durability (1-10): 4
Intelligence (1-10): 4
Energy (1-10): 5
Agility (1-10): 4
Power Mastery (1-20): 7

Personal Strengths: Ceres appears to be weak because of her appearance but her ability leaves her able to pack a punch. Her visible lack of vision also makes her unassuming as a threat.
Personal Weaknesses: If she is not touching the ground, she is completely blind from the world.
Personality: She will always fight the good fight and is a bit of a "tree hugger." On the contrasting side, she can be a bit blunt when it comes to communicating. This is partially due to her inability to see expressions and partially due to personality traits she picked up from her mother.
Hobbies: Gardening, cooking

Mutant/Human Relations View: Sunny believes in harmony between people and the earth... and that includes humans and mutants getting along.

History:
(Need to write but the long and short is that she had a happy childhood and her family sent to her Xavier's to learn her power better. Nothing crazy, mostly normal.)

Name: Serenity Arai
Codename: Haze

Academy X Student Team: Omega

Age: 19
Birthday: April, 19
Hair: Blonde
Eyes: Brown
Skin Tone: Light Olive
Height: 5' 6"
Weight: 115
Build: Slim Athletic
Race/Nationality: Asian-American

Noteable Characteristics: Around her wrists she has tattoos of lightning bolts forming 'bracelets' around her wrists
Uniform: Red and Black, will post up other details in the future.
Standard Dress: Serenity usually wears loose shirts that reveal either part or all of her shoulders - these are usually in plain colors and do not have anything 'extreme' that is notable about them except for her revealed shoulders. The shirts and/or blouses she wears also are typically quarter-sleeve so that her wrist tattoo's are visible. Usually with this she wears some type of blue jeans - she's more extravagant with her choices of jeans choosing jeans with gems/stones or sparkles or holes all in them. For shoes she typically wears just a plain white tennis shoe pair however on occasion she is known to wear short heeled boots but she detests actual heeled shoes - especially stiletto's & pumps (this is because she's a little clumsy and can't balance well in them!).

Place of Birth: Southern California, United States
Family: Serenity Arai grew up as an only child - her father, Mitsyugi Arai, was born in Tokyo, Japan and after building a very successful business in Japan he came to America, specifically California, to expand his work. It was in Oceanside, California on one fateful evening that he was walking along the beach relaxing from a day in the office to see a woman surfing on the waves. The woman was graceful and beautiful and Mitsyugi walked up to her and immediately asked her to go on a date with him - her name was Melody Smithson - the two married after what seemed like a short two years of dating and only ten months later Serenity Arai was born into the world. Serenity is the first in her family to show mutant abilities and her mother alone knows her secret - afraid Serenity's father would not be as accepting they researched places for Serenity to be with others of her 'kind'....

Superhuman Ability: Serenity will someday have the ability to control the weather and weather related phenomena once she is able to control her powers - for the time being though she is a young student who is really just beginning to get a grasp on her powers as a mutant and only has the ability to control the wind however she uses her power wisely and so one should not underestimate the power of the wind alone.
Abilities (not gained from mutation): Serenity learned how to surf and swim very quickly from her mother and if she's near an ocean she'll most likely plead to stop for a short trip to the beach. Despite the fact that she is an excellent surfer she can be very clumsy outside of the water. Her father taught her how to be frugal and spend money wisely and she has learned incredible accounting and money management skills from this throughout the years.

Non-mutant power skills: None at this time to add

Power Levels:

Physical Strength (1-10): 3
Speed (1-10): 6
Durability (1-10): 2
Intelligence (1-10): 6
Energy (1-10): 6
Agility (1-10): 5
Power Mastery (1-20): 7

Personal Strengths: She is very bright and charismatic. Having grown up in a loving and accepting home she is very warm and welcoming to others that come into her life. She is an excellent swimmer and quick and agile in the water.
Personal Weaknesses: She can be very clumsy. She also has a tendency to over think financial and monetary situations, she is not highly spontaneous. Having grown up in a warm and loving home sometimes she takes rejection more harsh than she should.
Personality: Bright, charismatic, not outspoken but not quiet, she is cautionary about anything involving money and has a habit of pushing her thoughts on money upon others, she is warm, accepting and calm.
Hobbies: Surfing, Swimming, Cloud watching, Reading

Mutant/Human Relations View: Serenity was given her name because at her birth she didn't cry but simply smiled at her mother. She is and always has been very calm and accepting of everyone; she believes in peace, harmony and diversity.

History: Serenity was an only child born to a very loving and moderately well-off family. Despite her fathers wealth she was not spoiled but instead taught the value of a dollar and about treating everyone with respect and love no matter what their 'social status'. Unlike many other daughters of those who are rich, Serenity went to a public school and not a private school - rode the bus to school every day and shopped at 'normal' stores. Name brands, private schools and expensive cars didn't mean anything to the life of her family; they were a normal American family except the main picture Serenity remembered of her father was one taken for Forbes magazine (regarding his successful business, of course.) Serenity's mother taught her how to surf (having been a surfing professional in her college years), swim (her mothers current job since her birth had been as a lifeguard) and meditate to relax.

One day shortly after Serenity's 16th birthday she went surfing with her mother; the waves were high and beautiful and they surfed together gracefully like ballerina's in water - however the weather can change in the blink of an eye and before they were aware of it the waves were out of control. Serenity made it onto the beach and almost laughed a bit in relief of making it with the strong waves she turned, however, to see her mothers surfboard floating in the water with no sign of her mother anywhere - the waves kept crashing and the storm grew larger until something strange happened... Serenity yelled "STOP!" and it felt like deep inside her that she fought with all her might against the storm itself. The storm calmed down and her mother, who had been trying to swim with the waves towards the shore, was able to swim to the shore and her daughter just in time to see her teenage daughter collapse onto the sand.

Somehow her mother knew inside her heart that her daughter had stopped the storm from coming but she didn't know how - once Serenity came to they spoke but even Serenity found herself confused and scared. Being the always accepting one her mother simply smiled and held her daughter close to her. After awhile Serenity's mother would walk outside with her and she would continue to try controlling the weather, it was very difficult for her to control anything at this point in her life but occasionally she would make a rain shower hit or the sun shine brighter and warmer than it had before. Serenity and her mother kept it a mother-daughter secret between them; not because of mistrust of her father but just because her mother felt it was something that Serenity should have the choice to tell her father on her own someday. Serenity's mother found information about other teenagers with strange abilities including some others with weather-related abilities and found a school for those with these gifts, it was then that her mother decided she should go and learn from people 'like' her and control her abilities because her mother realize that with her ability she could help save lives of many people in world.

Name: Cedric Miles Erikson II
Codename: Polymorph

Academy X Student Team: Alpha

Age: 17
Birthday: August 24th, 1992
Hair: red
Eyes: deep green
Skin Tone: pale
Height: 5'7"
Weight: 118lbs
Build: Slim
Race/Nationality: British
Noteable Characteristics: Cedric has four piercings in his right ear, and five in his left, he also has a snake bite piercings in his bottom lip, and similar piercings in his top lip, but without rings. He actually tends to put sterilized wiring through the holes, and sews his mouth to a point where he can still open his mouth enough to talk, but there is an 'X' design in the sewing.
Uniform: (?)
Standard Dress: Cedric normally wears gothic clothing, tending to wear wrist coverings, blacks and reds, baggy pants, and baggy shirts. It isn't rare for him to wear gothic make-up, either. He also has a staple leather trench coat that he is never seen without.

Place of Birth: London, England
Family: Cedric Miles Erikson I (Human, philanthropist aristocrat, deceased)
Mary Deanne Erikson (Human, deceased)

Superhuman Ability: Cedric's mutation is skeletal, epidermal, and muscular manipulation and alteration. He can manipulate, stimulate, and alter anything relating to his own physical being. His appearance, his muscle mass, his height, weight, eye color, hair color, etc. He cannot impersonate people at his level, but he can camouflage himself by altering his facial features, and adjusting his body structure just a tad.

This also includes the ability to grow bone spurs, and increase his skeletal durability, by stimulating his marrow he can grow resilient skeletal 'armor.' He can also force his bones to jut from his joints, or from his hands, and create skeletal blades, but he can't remove them from his body. With more training such a feat might be possible, but not yet.

Along with this ability comes a collateral regenerative ability. Because he can stimulate, and manipulate his own body in many different ways, he can consciously speed up the healing of wounds by willing the affected muscles, skin, and bones to mend themselves.

Abilities (not gained from mutation): Cedric is a talented singer, and is often heard singing to himself when he thinks he's alone. He often writes poetry, and music lyrics.

Non-mutant power skills:

Power Levels:

Physical Strength (1-10): 3
Speed (1-10): 4
Durability (1-10): 4
Intelligence (1-10): 4
Energy (1-10): 4
Agility (1-10): 4
Power Mastery (1-20): 5

28/30 pts

Personal Strengths: Cedric is a contradiction. Or he seems to be. Though he dresses in a dark manner, his mood is usually very chipper and cheery. He's always up for a good laugh.
Personal Weaknesses: The sad truth is, his cheery disposition is a mask. He rarely shows his true feelings, and wears baggy shirts and arm coverings to hide his depression. He's a cutter, and hides it from everyone.
Personality: Cedric tries to keep to himself, most often, but when forced into a social situation, he makes sure to put up a facade and ingratiate himself into the group he's with.
Hobbies: Cedric writes poetry, and plays video games when he has the chance to.
Non-Mutant Skills:
Bow/Arrow: Beginner

Mutant/Human Relations View: Cedric's view on the situation is that he'd rather just be left alone. He wants humans to stop the prejudice, and let there be peace. Mostly he just wants the hate to end.

History: Cedric was born into an old money family. The Erikson's had a hefty estate, and many servants, and everything a boy could want, Cedric had. Except for someone to play with. As a child, Cedric was ignored a lot by his parents, who had several things to do, all the time. Appearing at banquets, keeping up appearances, estate upkeep, business meetings, etc. Cedric's only caring for was done by a nanny.

So, the neglection of his parents drove him into a depressive state, only to be worried on by his nanny, who pestered him to no end to stay chipper, and offered nothing more than consolation of his parent's return at some hour, which turned into a lie.

As Cedric was an only child, he never had any siblings to play with either. As he lived on an estate, he had no young neighborhood children to play with. It was just himself, his nanny, and his family's servants. This did nothing to save the boy from stress, and depression. He tried to find ways to entertain himself throughout the house, but only ended up with punishment being levied upon him at the end of a ruler.

At the age of seven, he was sent off to boarding school, and his nanny transferred to other duties within the estate. This was both fortunate, and unfortunate. Already being a depressed young man, he tried desperately to fit in with the other children, but only found rejection and forced isolation. He did well in school, though, despite his emotional state.

At the age of nine, Erikson estate suffered a massive explosion. One of the maids had foolishly left the oven on, and Cedric I was a pipe smoker. He'd taken his pipe into the kitchen, to grab his usual afternoon sandwich, and in the process of making his sandwich, he'd attempted to light his pipe up. The result was a horrible explosion that claimed both Cedric's mother and father, and a few of the house workers.

Cedric was now an orphan, albeit the sole beneficiary of a fortune. An orphan none the less. His father's lawyers took care of the insurance and will business, and set his fortune into trust funds, and a good amount of money was paid to the boarding school, enrolling him for many years to come.

Needless to say, this event brought Cedric lower than he'd been before.
It was now that he started cutting, and hiding his scars under his school uniform. He hid it very well, indeed, for no one ever suspected.

Puberty began to hit at age thirteen, when his cutter scars began to heal faster than normal. In hours, they'd simply disappear. One day, His hair grew out three inches, in a single day. Another day, during physical education, he had a terrible trip, and landed on his arm wrong, breaking his forearm. Three days later, it was fully healed.

Hearing news of these strange happenings, his father's lawyers searched for an answer. When they found out about Xavier's Institute, they enrolled him as quickly as they could. Cedric's progression in understanding his power has been a slow one, as he's mostly concentrating on his actual education, and doesn't like interacting much with anyone, deep down, despite how he acts around people.

Father: Unknown

Superhuman Ability: Sophia retains the power to manipulate, control, or animate all forms of plant life. She often likes to describe this as “speaking with” plants, and she shares a natural empathy with them. If she is saddened, plant life nearest to her may start to wilt and wither. She may wince, watching, or feeling a tree being cut down—but she understands that humans need what it offers. She considers all plant life a friend, and respects everything green.

She is able to emit spores from her own body, by blowing outward that cause various kinds of plant life to flourish and grow. She can also choose to secrete plant based toxins from her lips.

This power takes concentration, and can be exhausting if over used. Later on, she may actually gain the ability to merge with plant life—Or rather, allow it to merge with her.

Abilities (not gained from mutation): She really doesn’t have any other abilities. Though she is an avid swimmer, and has quite the green thumb.

Non-mutant power skills: None Noted Yet

(Read this thread before creating your stats)

Physical Strength (1-10): 3
Speed (1-10): 4
Durability (1-10): 3
Intelligence (1-10): 5
Energy (1-10): 4
Agility (1-10): 4
Power Mastery (1-20): 7

Personal Strengths: She is very down to earth and loyal.
Personal Weaknesses: Sometimes she doesn’t know when to quit. She would rather spend time outside than in a class room. She understands plants better than people.
Personality: Happy, a little flighty—But with random moments of Insight.
Hobbies: Gardening

Mutant/Human Relations View: Sophia would prefer it if everyone would just get along… But she understands why humans are afraid of mutants.

History: Sophia grew up in an old family plantation house with her mother, and spent most of her life in relative happiness. She had friends, family, and anything a girl could want. She spent many a night sitting out on the back fence, eating craw dads out of a brown paper bag—Or spitting watermelon seeds. She liked to spend her time out at bonfires, or running through the swamp land that surrounded her home—Avoiding some of the nastier creatures that prowled.

There were many thieves in the area, and though many of her family members belonged to guilds, her mother did not—And forbid Sophia from speaking about it. Sophia never minded, and rarely thought of it twice. School and her friends were far more important to her… Until her powers emerged. Innocent enough, her mother let her have the run of the back garden…. Which was more like the back jungle. It faced Sophia’s bedroom, and no matter how much it was pruned, it flourished. Vines and Ivy crawling up the side of her house—Towards her open window.

One night an adversary to one of her family members sought to kidnap her mother, and herself or worse—For monetary debts owed. Frightened and trapped in her room, the vines reacted when the would be kidnappers burst through her door—And surged through the open window, spearing them without mercy. They were wounded, if not dying, and it was the first Sophia realized that she was different… The police came, and were confounded, even though Sophia and her mother told them the truth. Or most of it.

Still a minor, Sophia, and with a story completely unbelievable, she was cleared of all charges—But sentenced to juvenile probation. It was Jean Grey who came to collect her not long after, promising to teach her how to control growing her growing abilities. It was a long good bye—A sad one… But Sophia relocated to the Academy.

History: Eighteen years ago, Ben and Jessica Spencer became the loving parents of twins; Christian and Catherine. His father and mother both natives of Washington state, they never left the great Northwest. Throughout his childhood, his father worked for a major technological firm while his mother played Suzy Homemaker, raising both children with the assistance of their paternal grandparents. His grandmother always helped around the house while his grandfather would always steal off in the mornings only to return in the afternoon with his quarry in hand.

Being twins, Caty and Christian naturally stuck together, even throughout their young school careers. However when it came to home life, both children were taught rather gender-specific roles. Caty was taught the domestic path in spite of her intellect, a trait which she inherited from her father. Christian, seemed to pick up on his mother’s laid-back approach to life, though at the same time Caty was raised by her mother and grandmother, he was taught basic mechanical skills.

It was when his father went on one of his many important business trips that his grandfather, Robert took Christian on an expedition to southern British Columbia, against the behest of his mother and grandmother. It was an interesting week for him to say the least. In that time, Christian was taught how to track game through the forest around him, how to properly maintain the integrity of his rifle and even how to clean his kill. The first time he held the rifle in his hands, Christian was petrified. The heft of the rifle was almost too much for the young lad and the crack of the hammer almost made him lose himself in his drawers.

With his grandfather’s constant reassurance, Christian began to grow more and more confident with each passing hunt. It wasn’t until he was nine that Robert allowed the young boy to actually fire a rifle. The first time he actually shot a deer, he felt sick to his stomach. Upon pulling the trigger, a shell kicked back and hit him underneath his left eye, leaving a distinctive scar. Upon the kill, his grandfather and grandson both drug the carcass back to camp and immediately cleaned it., leaving the young boy very ill. It wasn’t until a few months after his first kill that Christian became used to getting his hands dirty.

It was a peaceful life that his family led, though his father wasn’t around much. It didn’t’ matter to Christian, however. He enjoyed what time he had to spend with his grandfather on the hunt, and he also enjoyed preparing what meat he’d collect on said hunts. It was some of the only time he’d have to spend with his sister, even though they had no real friends where they lived. When he reached the age of thirteen, his maturation into adolescence was rather uneventful. He kept living his life normally, aside from the fact that his father had been transferred to the East Coast. Seeing it best that the children stay where they were used to, the twins grandparents took over guardianship of the two to keep them in the Seattle area. That was when Christian started to become a tad more withdrawn. The only enjoyment he’d get was when he was out in the forest, tracking his quarry. In between his schooling and his hobbies, he also began to participate in sports such as football and baseball.

Another quiet couple of years had passed for Christian when he was enjoying an expedition by himself into the woods. His grandfather had fallen into bad health and was in and out of bed weekly. Late into his fifteenth year, while he was quietly tracking a small brown bear, he heard something rampaging through the woods near his location. Curiously, he stood from his hunting blind only to see someone being chased through the woods. It looked like one of his teammates from the football squad, and he looked to be in trouble. Christian heard the loud voices of whomever was chasing after his friend, and noticed that when his friend leaned up against a tree to catch his breath, his skin turned to that of bark. Christian had heard of mutants, but he had honestly never seen them before. That’s when the mutant hunters came bursting through the tree line.

They all started to fire at his friend without warning, causing Christian to duck for cover. It wasn’t until after a few seconds of cowering that he realized his friend was going to get seriously injured or worse that he sprang up from the ground and charged at the patrol. The sight of the imposing teenager rushing at the patrol caused one random officer to level his gun at Christian’s chest and fire immediately. The bolt that hit the young man wasn’t a normal bullet at all. It seemed to be an energy shot, which knocked him back on his butt. When Christian sat up, he noticed that his hands were glowing a bright red and he began to shake uncontrollably. The patrol’s sensors spiked heavily in the presence of both Christian and his friend and knew exactly what was going on, even though Christian had no clue whatsoever. Two of the officers plugged Christian three times shots, which caused his hands to glow brighter than before. It was then he felt like his body was going to explode and without warning, he threw a fist out in front of him releasing every ounce of the accrued energy within. It wasn’t for another four hours until Christian awoke in a haze. His friend was gone as were the patrol officers. No, the officers lay strewn about, broken in front of him. He felt a great trepidation when he saw the line of trees in front of him either knocked down, sheared in half, or splintered into toothpicks. Fortunately for him, he was approached by two strangers; one a man wearing dark red glasses and the other a wheelchair bound bald man. After the introductions were made, both men took Christian back home and explained everything to his grandparents. They were totally understanding and allowed Christian to go to New York state, something he wasn’t keen on, but… with whatever he had done, he obviously needed to control lest more people fell its wake. It was then with a heavy heart, he bid his grandparents and sister farewell and moved reluctantly to the East Coast.

Some time had passed and Christian had just turned 18 and entering his second year of powers courses, though in terms of his schooling, he was nearly graduated. It had taken all this time to control his abilities and working to hone what he could do on the junior training squads when he finally got the call-up to the big leagues at his instructor’s request.
