August then moved closer to her, giving her no room to run. He was determined to talk to her. "I know Rose. That's why I'm not mad. You don't have any reason to be upset. I'm fine, just a bit sore. I know it was an accident." He nuzzled her cheek again, then stepped away from her side and gave her some room.
Shana looked confused between Mikuru and Emma. "There are more teachers?"

Rose raised her head slightly but didn't look at him. "But I hurt you. You should be furious with me, even if it was an accident. I don't get it." She had been kicked before for something like this, had been chased away for nearly a week. August confused her, completely. When he moved away she turned to look at him, ready to dart away because she couldn't get past the feeling that he would chase her away or kick at her.

August chuckled. "Rose, you should know by now that I am obviously not mad. I'm understanding, and I know it was, an accident, which is why I'm not angry." He stretched his neck over and nuzzled her again. He then pulled it back and lowered his head to graze, keeping an eye on Rose.

Rose didn't graze she wasn't even the slightest bit hungry. She did relax completely and step over to his side. Useing her muzzle she pulled gently at the base of his mane and moved to his back.

August snorted and lifted his head to look back at her. "What are you doing?" He asked in a curious voice.

Rose looked at him like he was crazy. "have you never been groomed by another horse?" She snorted unbeleiveing that he didn't know what she was doing, having grow up and spent most of her life around other horses, in a pasture.

August looked at her, puzzled. "No, I haven't. If you recall, I haven't had much other horse company other than horses I've shown against. It's always been Shana." He turned his head and resumed grazing, content to let Rose groom him.

"You have missed so much." Rose continued the grooming, useing her muzzle and teeth. She was an expert in grooming other horses, and enjoyed the comfort she got from it. Working her way down his back she covered his enitre back from side to side before moving toward his tail. It wasn't the fastest work but relaxed her in the process.

August continued grazing as Rose groomed him. He shuddered every now and then if she hit a ticklish spot. But he lifted his head and stomped as she moved toward his tail. "Far enough, Rose. My tail doesn't need much grooming." He smiled and shook his head, then continued grazing, keeping an eye on her.

Rose swished her tail, "Fine, mister." She teased him, moving back to the ticklish spots. She stopped after a while a joined August in grazing. Still she wasn't very hungry and stopped after only a few bites. She layed her head across August's back and cocked one hind leg.

August squealed as she scratched at his ticklish spots again. He continued grazing when she stopped. When he felt a wieght on his back, he lifted his head and turned to look at Rose. He chuckled when he saw her using his back as a head rest. "Comfortable?" He asked her mockingly.

"Hmm...very." Rose nuzzled him and settled back. "You don't even have the slightest idea what to do around other horses. I'll teach you everything I know along with jumping."

"Hmm..that would be nice." He lowered his head and began grazing again, allowing Rose to rest on his back.

Rose was happy to stand there and rest, for awhile at least. She started to swish her tail and then occasionaly stomp a back hoof. Starting to fidget, more and more, not being one to stand around and graze. She shivered her chest, as if to shoo a fly, but there was none. She wanted to run, wanted to buck and kick and act like a foal, but she was comfortable resting on August. She didn't say anything about it in case he didn't feel like moving.

August felt her shiver and lifted his head. He turned and looked at her. "Rose, you can go run if you want. I won't stop you." He reaced back and nipped at her.
