Natsumi's face went suddenly pale, she felt as if her heart had stopped and she shivered, feeling a chill. She was shaking a bit, "A....Killer...?" she whispered, "Y-You kill people...for fun...?"
She was almost terrified, she walked up behind him, putting a hand on his shoulder, her eyes filled with hurt.
"Even if you were Satan himself, I wouldn't care. A debt is a debt. And I won't die until I have repayed you." Her voice was suddenly cold, and she walked out to the back yaerd and out to the lake where the tire swing hung from her favorite giant oak tree.
Even if it's stupid....that I might have fallen in love with a killer....
She hoped he had heard that, and something in her heart told her he did.

He had stiffed from her touch before shrugging it off and listening to her leave through the back door with her dress still on. She was gone and out of sight which made relax and let his shoulders slump as a sigh of irritation escaped from his lips. Nyx was way over his head which made him all the more troubled of what to do. The back door hadn't slammed shut which brought his attention back at the problem at hand. If she didn't come back before her parents got home, their wasn't going to be a nice family surprise for her.
Closing his eyes for a brief moment he reopened them and walked straight out of the house. He closed the door before he left though since he would worry someone breaking in. Nyx lifted his nose up as she tried catching her scent it wasn't too hard to find. He walked slowly though towards her since it was better for her to be a bit calm before he talked to her. Why he was doing this he hadn't a clue, was the gods punishing him for breaking a rule back at his home planet? This was so annoying that his heart and mind were fighting for control. As he got closer he felt her thoughts touch his mind again. This only made him stop and looked down at the ground. He was close by a tree that was almost visible at the lake surrounding. He could see her but she wouldn't be able to see him well.
His heart seem to beat fast at her words, he hadn't heard something like that in a long time.
Yes....I do think it's stupid to fall in love with me....but I am more stupid to have fallen for you...
Knowing that she would definitely hear that, Nyx waited for her response.

Then why would you try to chase me away?
She said back after a bit of hesitation, I'm not stupid, you know. I know you have been planning to leave after you made sure I was okay.....Remember, I've been through it before....This is not the first time....
A sigh escaped her, she swung back and forth gently as the breeze carried her. Slumping over on the tire swing with her elbows on top and her body within the tire, she gazed at the glimmering water before her. She was blushing, but she didn't make it known in her thoughts, but then she added,
.....Even if I do forgive you.....

Nyx sighed and sat down on the soft grassy patch of earth. His back leaned against the tree he was behind as he spoke to her through his mind. Because.......I'm more of a threat to your life then anyone else in this planet......If they come after me.....you might be in the cross fire when they come..... Nyx had his head down as he took a big breath of air, the woods was a relaxing place to be in, but with this awkward feeling he didn't know how to handle this. He brought one knees up to his chest and rest his chin gently on it while looking out into the darkness.
Sigh......you better get back to the house before your parents get home....they might begin to worry where you went off to....
His mind was a little clear to think now, as he glance to her from the distance. She looked graceful swinging on the tire in that pretty dress of hers. If he didn't feel so cautious around her he would have hugged her from behind and kiss her neck gently with his lips.

((somethings going to happen.....I was thinking the people who caused it were thieves/robbers....or something....))
Natsumi sighed, Even if I was.....I would do it a million times over....just so I could be with you for the time being....
She got off the swing and turned, knowing what direction he was in, I wouldn't care what kind of danger I was or am in....even if that sounds silly...
She then heard a crash from the direction of her house and her heart lept. Her eyes widened, and she picked up her dress and sprinted back to the house without another word.
She got to the house, The door was open, That's odd...I was sure the door was closed....
She stepped into the house and she felt as if her heart stopped, lying in a pool of blood before her, were her parents. She paled, and her eyes widened, too shock to even cry. But she screamed. She backed up quickly, only to be struck in the base of the neck by an unseen force.
NYX!!! Her thoughts screamed as the man who knocked her out bound her to one of the poles in the middle of the entryway of the big house, and gagged her mouth so that if she awoke, she would not scream. Her feet were bound together as well, and fear built up in her body subconciously as the man crept away, up to the upper level to swipe some of the goods that they had come for.

But.... Before he could some much as finish his sentence a loud crash from the path to her house was clearly audible as she, his ears stood up. Alerted to any other sudden noise that was emit from the woods. Nyx eyes side glance to see Natsumi had already ran straight back to the house. He up quickly too and followed her. Something was definitely wrong, the smell of danger was clearly visible to his sense and he wasn't liking this one bit.
Quickening his pace he felt a faint brush against his mind again and a scream emitted from the inside of his mind. 'NYX!!' OK now that alerted him to go into a full on run and head straight back to the house without glancing in any other direction. He tried to reach her mind but she didn't seemed to be responding.
Natsumi!......Natsumi!
Panic flooded his mind as he worried what kind of danger Natsumi was in. As he made it to the house he noticed the door was open. Stepping inside carefully and quietly he caught a strong whiff of blood. His eyes darted to the floor and saw the two bodies laying dead still with a pool of blood under them. Nyx nose cringed at the sight and quickly glance around to find Natsumi. She better not have gotten hurt. It didn't take him long to find her since she was tied up in the middle of the entryway, unconscious and unharmed. Walking over to her cautiously, he removed the gag out of her mouth, untied the rope that bound her, and checked for any signs of bruises or scratches. She seemed ok, which brought a sudden but short lived relief flood into his mind before dealing with the problem at hand.
Someone was definitely here and he wasn't about to let them escape without paying the price for murdering her parents. Anger welled up inside him as he turn back into a panther and got ready to kill the victim at hand. Nyx was seriously pissed and he wasn't about to let this person keep there life. He walked up the stairs and sniffed lightly for the persons scent before walking towards the parents room. It was the strongest there and he was very enticed about fighting. Hearing things fall to the ground as the rodder quickly grabbed valuables with his greedy hands. Nyx slowly crept up behind him before spring forward with his two back feet and pouncing onto the mans back. A loud shriek could be heard from even downstairs.

It wasn't long before Natsumi had awakened. She blinked a few times to clear her vision, and she looked over the room. When she saw her parents, her hand flew to her mouth as she stifled a scream. She scrambled to her feet and ran to them, not caring anymore if her dress was soiled or not.
"M-Mom!" She was looking down at her, tears flowing, "please.....wake up...." she was sobbing as she clutched her mother's shirt. "Don't leave me...."
She was kneeling by her side still in tears and when she lifted her hands to her face, they were covered in blood. When she saw her dad, she quickly got up and ran out the door to the back of the house. She was coughing, and the sight just made her nauseated. She was leaning against the house, breathing heavily, tears still streaming down her face. She was terrified, if she was there in the first place....she would've probably been killed....again....
She was shaking as her form still racked with sobs. This is too much at once, she didn't know if she could handle it.
I'm so scared..... She thought, tears not stopping, Why....does this happen to me?

Nyx came out slowly from the room. In surprise he wasn't covered in blood and he was reverted back into his true form. He had taught that guy a lesson with magic and it was only a matter of time before Nyx would tell Natsumi to call the authorities. Walking downstairs he noticed that Natsumi was awake. She wasn't in the house anymore, again he let her mind connect with him. Only to wince when he heard those words. He knew them so well that everyday someone would tell him that. Letting out a breath he headed for the back door, where the back was and opened it slowly.
Natsumi hadn't noticed him come out, which gave made him worry all the more of how to help her. She of course lost the two most important people in her life and what was worse was that she had looked at the lifeless corpse that laid still on the floor. Being as quiet and stealthy as ever he pulled her into a hug, his back still facing him. Nyx squeezed gentle to show that he was here for her. Letting his hands rubbed soothingly against her shoulders, he murmured soft words of comfort. "It's ok....I'm here and no one will ever hurt you again...." And of course he meant it deeply, he didn't want to see her face raked with pain like this.
Natsumi......
With a worried yet eager voice, he wipe her wet cheeks of streak tears and stay as quiet as he can.

Her knees buckled and she turned and practically fell, sobbing into his shirt. She shivered from fright, and felt almost alone. It was a bit better that Nyx was there, but, the two people who cared for her most of her life had been murdered, and Natsumi was terrified, more terrified when she was almost killed herself. Her hand was at her mouth, as she tried to supress the sobs, even if she was miserably failing.
"P-Please D-Don't leave me...." she said in between sobs, "If you left too....I don't know what I would do with myself...."
Her breaths were shaky, but the tears eventually stopped enough that she could look up at him, her tears still flowing down her cheeks, but she wasn't sobbing.
Don't leave me here alone....
She was still buried in his shirt and refused to let go. She needed him to stay with her. She was too frightened to be on her own.

At the last second Nyx had held on to her more securely so she didn't fall to the ground. She was in a very delicate position and state of mind. One false thing could set her off into her already deep sadness. Holding her more closely to his chest, he felt her shake uncontrollably under his embrace. Before he could so much as muster another word to break the painful silence. Natsumi spoke, her voice sounded shaky and distraught as he looked into her tear filled eyes. They showed a visible fear of be alone, one that he knew too well.
Listening to her was what he could do as she clutched at his and held on to him for her dear life like he was about to disappear if she let go. Nyx let out a calm breath before wrapping one arm around her waist and the other lightly touching her head as he connected with her again.
I won't leave you......I-i.....promise.
He hadn't known why those words came out of his mouth but they did, making him all the more worry about the decision he was about to make. His grip gently loosen so he could look at her face again. "Natsumi.....please for the time being .....get a hold of yourself and call the police.....I have only injured him but he's soon to try to escape....."
He wasn't trying to sound mean to make her stop crying, he knew once the authorities were out of the way he would give all his attention on her. But for now this rodder needed to be dealt with.

Natsumi nodded slowly and stopped suddenly before entering the house again. It was cold, almost haunting. She went to the phone and shakily dialed 911.
"Hello, 911?"
"Hi...I wanted to report a theft...and a murder..."
There was a hesitation, then the woman advised her to stay calm, which really didn't make that much sense, since she was already quiet. She gave the woman her address, and also her cell number. She then realized her cell phone was in her room, and after she hung up, she quickly darted up the stairs to her room, and saw that the robber was still unconcious. She grabbed her cell phone and darted back down the stairs, and back out to Nyx, practically hiding within his arms. They had walked out to the front lawn, Natsumi's face still pale, the Paramedics had asked to look her over. After seeing that she was fine, they went in. A police officer came in, "Is this robber still here, and where might we find him....?"
Natsumi replied meekly, but quietly, "He's unconcious in my parent's bedroom...up the stairs and in the big room on the left...." The police man was then gone, and the paramedics brought out her parent's bodies, covered, and drove away, with them. It wasn't long before the police came out with the thief as well, handcuffed, and taken away to prison. The house was cleaned up slightly by the police, but the blood was still there. She then turned to Nyx and was shaking uncontrollably again as her knees gave out and practically fell into him a second time.
Her breathing was still shaky, and she was still pale and the tears started again.
Nyx...I-I think....we should probably go over to that place by the lake again....so....I can at least try to calm down....if I can....
It was actually the first time she didn't collapse at the sight of blood, but she felt like she could, if Nyx wasn't there, she probably would have.

It had been very troubling time when the cops and ambulance showed up at the house. Other course he hid his tail, yellow eyes, and fluffy ears, the last thing he needed was for the authorities to take him away. Leaving Natsumi alone and vulnerable. He wouldn't be able to bare it. And Natsumi knew it, since his feeling of fear and anxious wavered in his line of thoughts. A glamor spell was used to hide it for the time being as the men in black uniforms question him about what had happened. He kept his story straight and simple. Nyx was her boyfriend who was out with her at the lake when they heard a sudden crash. She first went to investigate and he caught up with her a little late, finding her unconscious. Of course he stopped the rodder from escaping and that was it.
They didn't fall for it at first until one of the medics checked on Natsumi head noticing the small lump that had been formed from the impact of the hit. Finally they left and only Natsumi and Nyx were left alone in the house. With no dead bodies only the blood of her parents still on the floor. He finally let a breath of relief out before feeling the impact of Natsumi falling on to him. Nyx quickly caught her, holding her up right so her legs didn't buckle.
Hearing her thoughts in his mind again he crutely nodded and walked her to the kitchen area.
Alright but let me at least clean up the blood on the floor for you. I'm surprised you haven't fainted.
Nyx said before setting her against the kitchen stool and grabbing a wash cloth he found next to the sink. He quickly went back to the front area of the house and most of the blood away before throwing the now stained towel into the trash bin. Swiftly returning back he walked to her and pressed his lips gently against her forehead before he lifted her into his arms bridal style and walked out through the back door. He pushed the door closed with his back before walking through the woods to the lake. Finally making it there he gently set her down before pulling her into his comfort embrace.

Her tears had stopped, but she was still shaking. She was nervous, afraid. She wanted to hide from the world, she was too scared to go anywhere, well, without Nyx, that is.
The tears had started again. They were on and off, and she sunk into his embrace as he held her. She was exhausted, tired and scared, crying alot took alot of energy out of her. She sighed, but looked up at Nyx.
What's going to happen? I'm afraid....I don't even know what I'm going to do....
Her face was still tear-stained and her eyes puffy from crying.
And as hard as I try...I can't stop the tears....

He held her with all the warmth he had in him. Nyx knew some of her pain for loosing a loved one. So he could relate with her more then anyone else. "Natsumi it's ok to cry......" He planted a small kiss on her forehead before brushing the tears away again. His smiled at her showing that he was here for her no matter what. "I won't disappear or leave you if that is what you wish." Though it was odd coming out of his mouth he meant every word he said. Because for the first time in life he could protect someone.
Nyx cooed comforting words to sooth some of her pain. He was still new at this comforting thing but at least he was trying. Most people he knew in his planet never gave comforting affection like this so he felt a little alien at this new feeling.

Jin woke in the house he had just left. how'd i get back here? he thought to himself. it must of been that girl....this time i will thanks her properly. he tranformed from his animal form to his human. he looked perfectly human to except for his tail and ears.
