CD turned to smile at Valco after shooting a dirty look at Blade that promised that sometime soon in his future, he might end up with something nasty in his food. She also gave the others guys a wry smile. She knew they needed to junk food every now and again. Her eyes went a pale green, kind of like new spring grass. "Just my soul. Which is why I'll have to take a piece from all of you to cobble myself a new one together." She caught the worried look on Valcos face and gave him what she hoped was a reassuring smile. "It didn't cost to much, and don't worry, it never came out of the crews cash. It was my own. I always have a little in store for just these kinds of occassions. And hey, don't we deserve a treat every now and then?" CDs eyes went a darker green. "You reek, been throwing up from drinking to much?" She knew the answer to that question. "Want something to help with the nausea?

Valco slowly took a few more steps into the kitchen, threatening to fall over with every step. "Chrys, you always know the answer to that. I'm definitely gonna need something to help the nausea, and possibly one of those detox mixes that you're so good with. I need to sober up." He sat down near the counter, shaking his head to try and clear his vision.

"I've got some already ready. I decided to stockpile." CD said with a slight smile as she grabbed to small tablets and a glass which she filled with a clear grey liquid. "Have at 'er and drink up. This stuff is good for you." She deposited the pills and the glass near Valco and pulled something out of one of the few remaining bags in the kitchen and held it out to him. "Look what I managed to find. Your favorites."

Derron snatched one of the hard candies from the bag Blade had opened.

"You know, Logan, what you don't seem to understand is that your face is wired into our brains. If something is flying towards us, our instinct tells us that it has to end up near your head and we act accordingly."

((Something needs to happen in this RP soon, or else people are gonna lose interest and it's gonna die.))

Blade saw CD's dirty look, and returned her an indifferent expression that promised that no time soon in his future, would he be touching any food that she prepared for him. As he stared back, the iris's of his eyes began to swirl like a vortex with a bluish lavender glow. It was one of the many settings of his cyberoptic eye implants. He did this to tease her, as to say, Hey, look! I can have freaky eyes too! It was then that Derron reached into his bag of candies and snatched one, just as Valco and CD walked off into the kitchen. Blade crawled out from underneath the table, and flopped the bag of candies down on top of it as he stood. "You know, I thought I spotted some caves a little ways out to the north..." he trailed off as he looked around to everybody in the room. "Anybody up for a walk?" Blade was basically asking them if they wanted to go on a bug hunt. It was a known fact that there were many bizarre creatures roaming around certain areas of the wastelands. It was believed by most that the creatures were insects and animals, which had been mutated by the modified N-40 strain (Impregnator Virus) that was unleashed upon the planet when the world "ended". Many of them made their homes in the dark, damp caves - only venturing out of their sanctuary for prey. "Who knows... maybe we'll even come across a waterline." he mused as he awaited a response. Chances were there was nothing at all in those caves. But Blade was bored, itching to shoot off his guns, and wanted to do something to kill the time while they were stuck out there. Not to mention the fact that some of those creatures made for a good meal.

"I dunno Blade," James said as he momentarly stopped chewing, "Valco looked a little weird, like he was anxious or something, then again it could be just the alcohol." He paused and finished the bite he was halfway through before continuing. "But if nobody decides to move us or anything then I'll go, it's not like I can do much good here without at least a couple better materials." Once he finished talking James shoved the rest of the candybar and stood up to strech before walking over to the wall and pushing a concealed button that opened a small hatch containing a few rectangular boxes that the engine mechanic proceded to shove in one of his back pockets. "Gots ta have teh ammos." He said with a smirk.

"Valco's been acting weird and anxious all day..." Blade replied as he turned his head towards the kitchen, which the Captain and CD had just disappeared into. "It'd probably just be better to leave him alone until he sleeps it off, and Sergious gets the Gestalt back on track." Blade continued, really trying more to convince himself that it would be alright with Valco more than James. "'Sides, you heard 'em. There's a reactor failure, and you know how long it takes to recharge." he said as he pointed up to his ear-piece. "You got your comlink, right? We're not gonna be gone long, and even if we are, we'll still be able to get in contact with the Gestalt." He then watched as James opened the ammo hatch with that s**t-eating smirk of his. "Right on, brotha." he said as he extended his fist out for James to punch back. "So, you in?" It was looking as though they were about to become sort of partners-in-crime.

"You know it." James said as he punched Blades fist. He then pulled the comlink out of one of the front pockets and put it in his ear. He would have made a smart assed comment about the reactors seeing as he was the one that had literally just come from there but for a change in scenery he was willing to suck it up and not say anything that had a chance of pissing of the oldest guy on board though it was only in age, not behavior and definately not in behavior.

((Sorry for the long response time, dude.))

"Alright, let's do it!" Blade replied after receiving the confirming knuckle tap from James. He then started hoping around slightly, while rolling his head and his shoulders - psyching himself up. He loved to hunt. "We goin' in, ain't we?" he said as he turned to his comrades Derron, Koraj, and Logan who were still lounging around. Maybe they would want to come along too. "Just hold up. I gotta grab my s**t. I'll meet you out there!" he called back to James as he jogged out of the room, and made his way to the crew quarters. He stepped into his room, and started pulling all of the cases out from under his bed, which contained his artillery. He quickly assembled his Ripper-Lance assault rifle, and mounted it on his back before holstering his handgun at his side. He then quickly made his way back to the access hatch of the Gestalt.
PostPosted: Mon Mar 10, 2008 6:31 pm

((Tis fine, I think we should wait for a while to see if anyone else is gonna come along though...))

Once Blade dashed off towards the crew quarters James headed over towards the access hatch and waited outside. While waiting he pulled out his pistol and checked everything from the rotating impactless 'hammer' that fired both the regular shells and the specialized N-33 filled bullets that were used as a last resort. Once that was done the redhead checked each of the clips he had pulled from the walls and had eight regular ones and two containing two seperate 'special bullets' he still needed to test out. Once everything looked fine he laied back and waited for the rest of the group, that was for all he knew, just Blade and himself.

Valco downed the drink quickly and took the pills, holding back the sudden urge to vomit them back up. "Thanks, Chrys. Sorry for threatening you earlier."

((Part of the reason this slowed down is that Pat's gone. And so, I shall powerplay him.))

Sergius stirred slowly from his position atop the Gestalt, using a hand to both shade his eyes and comfort his head. "Gah...no more drinking with Valco..." he muttered, knowing that he'd never be able to keep that self promise. As he rose the air blew over and around the Gestalt, carrying some sand and brushing it over his body. He shivered slightly as it hit the sensitive photoreceptive skin on his arms, but shook it off as he stepped onto the elevator, lowering down to the command deck. "So...James, what's up with the reactor?" He kept his eyes squinted and talked in a low voice so as to not aggravate his headache. However, the engineer had already left and so Sergius found his own way down toward the reactor, shaking his head as he looked at the patch job. "Dammit...this is gonna last all of ten minutes of reactor work..."

With a calculated move he reached for the com-link and lifted it up, opening the free channel. "Hey, everybody, we need to make a repair run. There's a Hive City I picked up on the scanners last night, and the odds are that they'll have what we need. So...nobody leave. We're heading out in force shortly." Ordering the crew around was something he was used to, and he knew that, even if they didn't like it, they'd do as he said or start walking.

-=:Elsewhere:=-
The feet of the Faustus thudded up the entry ramp of the Doom Horn, coming to its final rest next to the sleek Fireray class mech Helios of Lieutenant Alder. There was a quiet hiss as the cockpit opened and after a moment a tall, imposing figure began to climb down. Commander Cyron glanced around the hangar for a moment, noting the four other mechs aside from Lieutenant Alder's.

"Commander Cyron," came that same cool female voice. "Welcome aboard my ship." Cyron adjusted the chainsword on his back as he turned and looked back at the woman. "Lieutenant Sarah Alder, glad to be of service." The woman saluted smartly and Cyron returned it immediately.

"Thank you for the use of your carrier, Lieutenant," Cyron said, walking toward a map hanging on the hangar wall. "There is a Free Hive City located approximately here, he said, pointing to an area on the map. "A capture of the location for the Corporation would almost certainly result in at least a commendation for your self and also an upgrade from this rusty can that you control." He turned and walked toward the command deck, watching as the crew scurried out of his way. His rank as High Commander of the Corporation's Water Hunting forces made him a man of terrible power, all but immune to orders from other Corporation leaders.

What he didn't see, however, was the splendid gesture that Lieutenant Alder aimed at his back. This "rusty can" as he so put it was something that she had been in command of for nearly three years. Despite the archaic design it still operated perfectly and the Plasma weaponry mounted to the hull was some of the finest ever designed. With a heavy sigh she followed him, feeling the crawler shift heavily under her feet. Dammit, he's already changed the course. I had promised my men some time at home. Hopefully they'll understand.

CD gave Valco a level look, slate grey eyes blank and unreadable before she smiled a little, but it wasn't a warm, or even a particularily nice smile. It was more . . . sadistic. Or the smile of a sadomasochist. "I think that I might just have deserved it this time Wolf. And one of these days I'm going to shoot my mouth off, and I'm going to regret it." She gave him another strange smile. "Can't say that I'm not looking forwards to it."

Deviously-Deranged

PostPosted: Mon Mar 10, 2008 9:26 pm

After a few hours had gone by, the fight from earlier had seemed almost a distant memory, besides the fact it had gotten her a few drinks at a local bar. Funny thing, she had never touched alcohol in her life, and she never would again. Cilla stumbled out into the street bumping into a gentleman. "Oh I'm awfury sorry!" she slurred trying to correct her vision. Obviously she was a light weight.
"Oh dear, are you drunk?" the man asked as he held Cilla up by the arm making sure she wouldn't fall back.
Ancilla looked at him through distorted vision as she mulled it over in her head. "I ha- no Idea!" she threw up her arms in dismay, trying to convey her frustration.
The man merely chuckled and held her by her sides, making sure she wouldn't topple over, she was a bit top heavy. "Miss, I have a remedy for this if you would like..." he said seriously, keeping his tight grip on her.
Cilla looked at him wide eyed and nodded quickly falling back wards once more, her legs had betrayed her, they weren't working right! "Preese?" she asked innocently her eyes trying desperatly to focus on his.
"Alright, follow me." He said as he let go for a moment, forgetting that she really couldn't walk without stumbling or stand without falling. He quickly went wide eyed and turned back scooping her up. "On second thought...I'll carry you to my shop..." He smiled brilliantly, he was an apothecary of sorts, having all sorts of remedies from a natural and scientific point of view.
Cilla nodded leaning against his shoulder. In her drunken stupor she trusted him, and didn't care to ask questions. She didn't like the way it felt and she wanted the world to stop spinning violently. She closed her eyes keeping herself from the dizziness and layed her arms over his shoulders, it wasn't like they were going to help her stay up and not fall to the ground, it was just a lot more comfortable.
The man walked passed the wind-swept streets and entered a small building, the door was iron, it keps everything nice and fresh in the small shop he had to himself. He set her down on a bench and set to finding a small bottle on a rather unorganized shelf. There were things strewn about, papers and such, it seemed like he had alot of research and development things going on. "Here it is!" he grinned as he took a small vile from the back of the shelf. "I used to be a drunkard so I had to make somesort of remedy for it..." he admitted blushing slightly as he looked back to find Cilla laying across the bench, seemingly sleeping. He walked over to her figure and shook her shoulder gently. "You awake?"
Cilla made a small groaning noise as she was shook and wrinkled her nose. "I don't wanna be..." she mumbled, making the pout on her face dissappear.
The man, Leon, smiled, chuckling softly under his breath. "Hon, take this, you'll feel alot better." Her wrenched his hand gently under her cheek and lifted her with ease onto her bottom. "I promise.." he smiled reassuringly.
Cilla looked at him with squinted eyes and nodded.
Leon held up the vile for her and gave her a quick look over, it didn't appear as if anyone else had tried any thing with the girl.
She gently took the vile and pressed her lips to it letting the syrup like liquid crawl down her throat. After she gulped a few times she grimaced, "That's horrible.." she shook her head nearly gagging, the taste might have been bad, but the after taste was worse.
"Oh, I'm terribly sorry." Leon appologized as her took the vile from her fingertips. "I forgot to tell you that little detail." he stood up and walked over to a small sink laying the vile inside it and starting to wash it out.

Valco laughed as he stood up, already feeling a bit better. He raised an eyebrow, smiling to show his heavily pointed canines. "Well, hun, just know that if I do decide to get even some day I won't kill you. I might get close, but no killing." He turned as Sergius' voice came over the ship's comm system, rising to his feet slowly. "Thanks for the pick-me-up, Chrys. Looks like we're gonna be busy for a while." He walked out of the kitchen and made his way through the ship toward the center section. He slid his hand over a few controls, laughing quietly as the Mech hatches on the second and third compartments opened. He picked up a comm link and tapped into the open channel. "Alright, everybody, the Mechs are good to go. Lets get moving."

Sergius climbed back up from the reactor, walking back to the workshop slowly. "Valco, is the car fixed yet? If not, I might have to shoot you through the leg." Valco nodded and pointed to the hatch where the repaired car sat. "Just don't crash the damned thing again." He left Sergius to the car, knowing that he and Chrys would end up driving in wherever they needed to go.

Valco, on the other hand, was headed for his Mech. He easily climbed into the Fenrir, detaching the liquid exchange hose before closing up the cockpit hatch. His body heat signature was recognized by the mech's computer and the controls lit up, beeping in welcome. "Hey there, Fenrir. Up for a quick run?" The computer flashed a green light, showing that the reactor was ready and Valco easily piloted his nimble mech out of the crawler and onto the dry ground.

<< Whoa! Lots of reading to do O_O So we're moving out? Sorry for the inactivity, been addicted to Starfighter: Disputed Galaxy. Fun Flash game biggrin Ey Caleidah, I think I've seen you use that pic for Cryon before... or was it someone else... >>

"ALRIGHT!" Logan laughed as he heard the announcements. Koraj simply stared at him and shook his head. "Get real. We won't see any action." He grumbled. "Oy, way to be a killjoy there. At least it beats being cramped up in here all damn day." Logan bitched back, kicking his comrade in the back of knee. Koraj fell down and slammed his head down on the corner of the table and got back up. "I'll get you for that later..." He snarled, rubbing his head and surprised it wasn't bleeding. Eh, he is right though... gets us out of here ... He thought, as him, Logan, and probably the rest of the pilots behind them, filed into the mech room and suited up. Logan smirked to himself as the machine seemed to come to life, while his friend just seemed like it was another boring thing. Aw hell, Kor will come 'round... Logan thought as he checked everything. Satisfied, he filed in after Valco. "Ey, wait up for the rest of us!" He said, as Koraj passed him.

<< I think after this post I'ma split their actions up instead of mixing em. My heads starting to hurt... *grumble grumble grumble* >>
