I wish we were treated more like we were part of the band than we are now. I'd say gaurd is totally part of the band, though. I mean, it'd be so boring just watching the marching band march around without a visual effect. I think sometimes our band director discriminates us because we're guard, though xD .

our band and school isn't big enough at the moment to have color guard, we use to but then we got small. but i'd consider them part of the band seeing as they do work just as hard.

YES
I'm not in Colourguard myself, but I've never even considered thinking of the colourguard members otherwise D:
They play with the band, they march with the band, they practice with the band, they perform the same show. Anyone who says they aren't must be an idiot D<

Absolutely! Guard is most definitely part of the band. Without us there would be no colorful, artistic, visual representation and it just takes away from the general effect of a marching band show. Musicians, I believe, give the guard crap because they are jealous of the talent the guard has or they are just plain ignorant. Guard does just as much work as band. They have to march, count and play well we have to march, count, spin and smile. We do just as much work! I never said a musician's job was easy, but neither is a guard member's! They're just jealous because they don't get to wear glitter talk2hand lol
