Rynn said she bought for me some gifts for Nero, and is getting Tahki to deliver them. I want too, but it is better this way. Hopefully, Nero will know they're from me and not her. It's so Arturo won't know. Maybe he'll think they are from her. I hope he's never found the other gifts...I'm afriad he'd destroy them.

Happy Birthday Ianios!
Well, I wanted to like bring him a cupcake or something, but he's not into sweets. So instead I made him a fresh fruit tart. He enjoyed it. He seemed happy, but I don't know. I gave him his gift, a purrbot. He liked it, though I know he wanted weapons and stuff. Hard to find any in his size however.
Yesterday Nero turned 2 months old....I hope he got the gifts I sent by Tahki...
Happy one month birthday, bro! It went by so fast....hopefully your second month will be better than your first. With Love, Aria

Oh no, Rynn's crying! I asked her why. Turns out she was reading something about babies. It's making her want one of her own, though she calls us her babies. Ian doesn't like it, but he's ok with it. But she said it's different. We didn't come from her. See, Rynn doesn't know a lot about herself, she discovers things and all, but she feels disconnected from the world. She has cared for so much, from Cyrus, her three headed hell hound to us, but she said having a baby was different. More like a real connection to her past and future. She's always had some names picked out and all, thoughts on what these kids would look like, but as she ages, she explained, the kids seem to slip further and further away. She told me once she thought she couldn't have kids and it broke her heart. She found out she could, but still...She said it's been so long that she's sorta given up hope. She found a place where she could, but they're not giving appointments. And she's afraid she couldn't meet their price either. It's so sad. I don't like seeing her upset. I'm going to go try to cheer her up.

I managed to cheer Rynn up last night. Well, some, anyway. I told her Ianios, Lilyana and I would always be her babies. We'd not leave her, even if we were human children. I know I love her. I'm sure the others do as well, even if they show it in odd ways. It kinda helped.
Anyways, to happier news. Fionn is really enjoying his time here. We've had long talks, like what we'd do if we ever breed. Out of friendship of course, cause I still have Nigel. But I haven't seen him in forever. I hope he's just busy.
We also like playing the video games. Some are hard though. At least Rynn has some guides for them! I rather like Crash Purple. It's fun. And all the Spyros...Fionn likes the Mickey Mouse racing.
We read, as Rynn has books around. And we act out stories. We play other games as well, hide and seek is really fun. Ianios sometimes joins us in those. He likes to seek but sometimes, he forgets he's seeking us! I have found him before in the cabinets, exploring. He laughs it off. I can't stay mad at him.
Speaking of Ianios, he still seems sad. I have caught him before reading the letters he's pasted into this journal. He misses Nero I know, and I wish I could help, so I try to take his mind off him. It works for a while, but sometimes, he slips right back into sad mode. I'm sure Nero misses him as well. Well, we're having hotdogs for dinner. Rynn is trying to figure out how to make them small enough for us. Shrinking magic was suggested. Perhaps. Bye!

July 24
A small orange Feien floated along in the woods, carrying a black velvet coin case on his shoulder. It took him awhile to get there, especially at his speed. He silently cursed himself for being the slowest thing on earth, and hoped that Ian wouldn't mind his late arrival. He came upon a small blue cottage amidst the trees and flew to the windowsill. He looked inside, setting down his pouch.
"Ian?" he called. "Are you here? I brought some of my things for our adventure..."
Ianios flew to the window, and motioned for Neruo to enter. "Come on in!" It was Rynn's bedroom, the bed made somewhat, a few stuffed animals lying on it. There was a tv on a stand, console systems in the stand, a dresser, another dresser, bookcase.... Her room was filled! "I'm just writing Rynn a note." He said, taking the small piece of paper and putting it on the bed. "What did you bring?"
Neruo floated over to one of the stuffed animals, examining it. LF had several of these in her room as well, and Neruo thought that it was just her. Apparently not. He chuckled and turned to Ian.
"I already told LF that I was leaving. She was happy for me." he said, opening the coin purse. Two toothpicks, a plastic water bottle top, some herbs and a plastic bag were taken out. Neruo looked at them again, and then to Ianios. "Is this good? There really wasn't anything else our size to bring. Did I need anything else?" Ianios grinned. "Weapons!" Well, toothpicks could be weapons, he reasoned. They were pointed! "I've figured everything else out, but what's the top for?" He asked, picking it up and looking at it.
Neruo twirled one of the toothpicks in his palm. He smiled as Ianios regarded them as weapons. They could be useful that way, though. "Actually, I'm practicing to be a drummer in a rock band someday. I use these to practice. They could be useful otherwise, though..."
He picked up the plastic bottle cap. "I got this from one of those store-bottle water bottles. LF had to take this off the top to drink from it. She said that it could be used as storage or something."
Ianios laughed. "A feien sized rock band?" he asked, grinning. He reguarded the rest of the items. "Well, they all look good to me. I was thinking we could go out back, explore the woods. Unless you rather explore in the house. Many things are here, and even I have yet to see it all."
Neruo smiled and put away all his belongings. He then slung the sack over his shoulder and floated into the air. "Wherever you lead, I shall follow." he said, confidently.
Ianios grinned, getting up, grabbing his spear. "Alright, let's go." He flew out the window and to the edge of the woods, waiting on Neruo. This would be grand indeed.
Neruo smiled and took to the air, floating slowly out to Ian. He wished he was faster, but...this was the best he could do. He surveyed the forest and all its green slendor. No wonder Ian loved it out here!
"Is there a specific destination during an adventure? Where're we going?"
Ianios smirked. "Nah, part of the adventure! Never know where you'll be ending up!" His wings buzzed behind him, and he looked about, wondering where to start. "Hmmm...this way." He flew into the forest, towards a tree. Up in the tree was a hole. And Ian wanted to see what was inside.
Neruo fluttered along, trying to keep up. The tree they came to was thick and green. Neruo noticed the hole and flew up to it, gazing inside. He thought he heard rustling, but disregarded it.
Ianios looked in, but it was dark. He heard the rustling as well, but stuck his head on in anyways. He was odd like that. He yelped as he was pecked in the head and pulled back. "Bird!" he yelped, flying away, turning around, grabbing Neruo and flying away again.
Neruo flew with him, and looked behind his shoulder at the bird. It was peeking out of the nest, chirping angrily at them. Neruo hung on as Ian flew them away. Ian was much fatser than he, and Neruo was grateful.
"Perhaps we should adventure near water instead? Birds can't swim...can they?"
"Neither can I," Ianios admitted, letting go of Neruo. He sighed. Good thing he had taken the pecking and not Neruo. Gods, he was dangerous...he'd end up drowning Neruo if they went to the water...He sighed, heading towards the forest floor. "Might be safer down here."
Neruo raised an eyebrow, floating down towards Ian. He patted his friend on the shoulder. "I've tried to swim in a Tupperware container with water in it. I found that, when my feathers get wet, I can't fly. Maybe it is safer down on the floor."
Neruo flew down to the forest floor, landing softly on some leaves. The color reminded him of Ian. He smiled and walked over to the roots of a large tree. He found some mushrooms hidden under a pile of dead leaves and acorns.
"What are these, Ian?" he asked.
Ianios walked over, looking at the mushrooms. "Mushrooms, fungus, really. I'm not sure which are good to eat and which aren't. Still studying on that. So best to leave it." Just then, his stomach growled. "Lets find some berries, or nuts." He walked on, searching. He was fairly certain he knew what berries to eat.
Neruo nodded and walked next to Ian. "You're very knowledgable. Have you been out adventuring often?" Neruo saw a flash of red in the sky above them. A cardinal flew overhead, ignoring the Feien. Neruo was awestruck over the vastness of the forest.
"Have you been reading about forests? I've been practicing medicine with herbs. I'm not too good yet, but I know some kinds of herbs..."
Ianios smirked. "I try to adventure often." He walked on and stopped when Neruo asked if he'd been reading about forests. He turned, a twinkle in his eyes. "Nah, don't have too, not really. My element is plants." He gave the orange feien a wide grin. "I rather like being out here. Come on, lets find some food."
It wasn't long before te two feien came across a bush, loaded with blueberries. Ianios grinned and pulled one free. He popped it into his mouth, chewing. "Delightful!"
Neruo walked up to the bush, pulling a berry off. It seemed to be quite ripe and smelled good...and apparently they aren't poisonous. Ian was a Plant Feien? How interesting! He would have to write that down somewhere. He popped the blueberry into his mouth.
"Thith ith verrah good!" he said around the berry. He swallowed it and picked another. "A Plant Feien? That's very cool! I'm Heat. I have yet ot meet another Heat Feien, but...Plant? LF had said she didn't know all the elements...She'll be happy to hear I discovered another. What kind of magic do Plant Feien have?"
Ianios shrugged as he pulled off another berry. Before he popped it into his mouth, he answered. "All I really know is flight. Shalafi is ice...Nero...we dunno what he is..." He trailed off, thinking of his Nero. He hoped he was alright. He popped the berry into his mouth, picking a few more. They might need them later, he reasoned.
"Ready to go?" he asked, wiping the juice from his mouth. It stained his hand purple and he smirked.
Neruo nodded and picked more as well. He opened the coin purse and put them in. He removed one of the toothpicks he brought and handed it to Ian. "You are the one that likes to fight, right? Maybe you coudld teach me?"
He slung the purse over his shoulder after taking out a second toothpick. He twirled it in his hand. "I have been practicing drumming lately. Oh, and all I know how to do is fly as well, but warm places do not bother me."
He shrugged and walked alongside Ian. "Where to now? Do you have a secret hiding place or something?"
Ianios took the toothpick, holding it with his free hand. "I can try but I don't know much myself...Arturo was teaching me, then Aoiro...but Arturo no longer will and I haven't see Aoiro in a while...." He smiled. "I like warmth too, but too much...or cold...it's not too bad, but makes me sleepy. As for a secret spot..." he smirked, taking to the air. "That I do."
He turned towards the direction of the shop. "Come on, I'll show you."
Neruo smiled and happily followed Ianios. "I've never heard of either of those Feien. I'd like to meet them someday...but I'm not sure I'm cut-out to be a fighter..."
"Arturo is Nero's father. I think you've met him. Aoiro is a water feien...in fact, he closely looks like my sister, Aria." Ianios flew past the shop, peering in the window. He saw no one and flew on, towards his den in the tree. "Here we are." He crawled in, the floor carpeted by leaves. "Come on in."
Neruo slowly floated into the quite, dark den and sat down, admiring the leaves on the floor. He set down the coin purse and laid down. "This is nice. Very nice! Do you come here to rest, or to spy?"
The orange Feien rolled over, propping his head up on his hand. "I don't remember anyone named Arturo..."
Ianios nodded. "Well, be glad you don't. He banned me from seeing Nero...claimed I'm dangerous." He sighed, looking about the den. It was just right for two feien...maybe he could get Nero in here....He smirked to himself. "I came here that night I ran away...well, the second time. It was when Arturo banned me from seeing Nero. We'd gone exploring up in the rafters of the shop, and Nero got ahead of me. Tripped into a bird's nest and thought I suppose like something had gotten him. Got all tangled up and so, I got him free. But as we were leaving, the mother bird came back and attacked. Arturo and Yeande were there, rescued us. I was so upset... and left the shop, came here. I brought the leaves here, made a bed. I stayed here until Tahki told me I shouldn't worry Rynn like I did."
"I'm so sorry to hear that. It wasn't your fault, though, and I don't think Arturo was right for forbidding you from seeing your friend. Perhaps you could explain what happened? Maybe Arturo would listen?"
Neruo took out some of the blueberries and popped them into his mouth. After chewing and swallowing, he said, "LF needs to buy these...blueberries. They are excellent! I must convince her to get more."
Ianios shook his head. "I took Nero on an adventure before that. Under the counter in the shop." He sighed, popping another blueberry into his mouth, chewing it. Once he swallowed it, he went on. "He got bit by a mouse. Though I held it off and bandaged it, the bird was the final straw. Arturo hates me." He looked down to his feet as he was sitting up. "I'm even partally afraid to get too close to Shalafi. Afraid I'd harm him, but never would mean too."
Neruo felt bad. Terrible. It was a shame that Ian felt that he was a danger to others. "Well, if it makes you feel any better, I'm having fun. And I haven't come to any harm. Besides, none of that stuff was your fault anyway. And I did ever get hurt, I wouldn't blame you."
Neruo picked up one of the leaves that lined the floor. "Patience, a Poke-Anthro that lives with us, is a plant. I wonder if you can learn to do what she can do...like, grow things and make whips out of vines?"
Ianios chuckled. "I never have tried to make things grow. No garden or anything, not of my own. I do however talk to the plants I come across. I do ask permission to dig up the flowers. They don't seem to mind once they know they're going to new homes." He layed down, starting at the ceiling. "It's nice and quiet out here..." He yawned, ready for a nap.
Neruo stood up and gathered his things. "Since you look very tired, perhaps I should be going now? I wouldn't want to disturb you, and I had a wondeful time."
Ianios shook his head. "Nah, stay a while. What do you do at LF's?" He rolled over onto his side, propping his head up with his hand. "I can sleep amid chaos and quiet. You can't disturb me." He grinned, using his other hand to run through his hair.
Neruo nodded and sat down. He played with one of his curls while he thought. "What do I do? I read, and listen to music, and care for this little Seedle that LF gave to me. She says it'll help keep me responsible. I personally enjoy listening to music the most. LF has lots of "techno", but that's too fast for me. I prefer rock and roll. What about you? What do you do at Rynn's?"
Ianios thought a moment as well. "Well, Rynn leaves so early in the morning, so I sleep half the day away. I go exploring in the house, play hide and seek with Aria. She has Fionn over now, as Raving's gone to camp. We play games. Rynn likes groups like Linkin Park, Metallic, Beastie Boys, so whatever we can find we listen too. Aria reads and draws, and I watch TV sometimes."
"You have three Feien at your house? I'm the only one, but there are many others that live there. LF taught Patience how to play Dance Dance Revolution. LF does that sometimes. It's too fast for me, and the pads are too big. Sometimes I play video games with Ezra, LF's Faefox. Or we play cards. He had a deck of smaller cards to play with me."
Neruo leaned up against the wall. His hand still played with one of the curls on his head. "What's it like having a sister?"
"Yeah, me, Aria, and Fionn. Liliana is a Maien, which is another kind of fairy. She's an odd sort." he thought for a few. A lot of Rynn's pets and children weren't always around. "Never tried cards, but there is card games around. Magination, though Rynn would have to teach us. I saw all those while exploring her closet. "
He closed his eyes. "Aria is alright. More like a mother at times than a sister. We're only bond related, unlike Nero and Merri. They're real brothers. Might share different bonds, but the same parents, Ares and Arturo." He sighed after saying the names, opening his eyes. Gods, he missed Nero!
Neruo tilted his head in worry for Ian. He looked so sad...It seemed at though his company wasn't enough to soothe Ian in his pain. "LF has a Faeling, but he is human-sized. But he's really nice. Most of LF's companions laze around the house, like she and I do."
So, there are real brothers among the Feien? Not just bond siblings? Amazing..."I'd like very much to meet one of these true brothers. Are they nice? Nero seems nice to me, from what you've told me about him...Was Merri the other one? What is he like?"
Ianios smirked. "Nero's the best. He took to me right off, along with Tahki. Merri...Merri's withdrawn. Nervous I think. I dunno why." He grinned, thinking of Nero. "Nero's older than me, but shorter. It's kinda cute. He's also slower when he flies, but hey, I don't mind. He looks different too than any other Feien I've met. But I still love the guy!"
He ran his hand through his hair again, spiking it slightly. "I do like your curls. That's different too."
Nerup pulled one of his curls straight and let it go. It snapped back into place as if it never moved. Neruo smiled. "They sound wonderful. I'd like to meet both of them one day. I did have a chance encounter with a Feien named Ruya. She seemed nice to me. Very interesting colors on her, too."
The orange Feien stood up and stretched. "Anywhere else you'd like to go?"
Ianios thought a moment. "Well, anywhere you wanna go?" He sat back up, stretching as well. He had no idea where to go, as lately the shop seemed empty.
Neruo shrugged, slinging the coin purse over his shoulder again. "Anywhere is fine with me. I haven't been outside of the house much, so I don't know where we COULD go."
Ianios stood, thinking, rubbing his chin in thought. Hmmm...he'd have to find them something to go do. It'd take some time. "Well, I could fly ya home. It's been a day and I can plan the next adventure, though this one wasn't much. Maybe let Rynn plan it....ohhh! Good idea!" he said grinning. "Let her plan us a treasure hunt! How's that?"
Neruo smiled widely, nodding. "That sounds like an excellent idea. I've never been on a true treasure hunt. LF loses things and I find them for her, but it's just not the same."
He opened his feathery wings and flew out the opening, floating just outside the entrance. He waved to Ian. "Thank you very much, again, for taking me on this adventure. I had a great time, and look forward to doing it again. Send my regards to your sister and Rynn." He smiled again and flew off towards LF's house.
Ianios waved back, crawling out as Neruo flew off. "Come back again! I enjoyed it!" he called after the orange feien. He really had. It was fun! Now for his idea....

Well, I got back from the adventure. Rynn's still busy planning out the treasure hunt. What she might be planning on hiding I wish I knew. I wish she could hide Nero for me. It's been too long since I've seen him...
Anyway, adventuring with Neruo was a lot of fun. Though we didn't do a lot, it was still nice to have someone around to talk too, other than Aria and Fionn. He's leaving this week, and Aria's a bit sad about it. But I know he had fun. She'll be fine.

Well, Fionn left this morning. Oh...I rather miss him! But he told me he had a blast so I'm happy! I miss Nigel...he's stopped coming around...I hope nothing has happened to him.
Ianios said perhaps he's on a grand adventure and can't come around. I hope so. I miss him....

Rynn is currently looking up names. I asked her why, she said it was future children Aria and I might have. I would want to name my own child, thank you, but having a list to look at might help decide. Aria is up in the air about it, however. She has no clue what happened to Nigel, who by the way I have yet to meet, so she might not breed.
I want to breed with Nero, however. Granted, I think this whole house knows it. But still...I will say...er write it again. I MISS NERO!
Damn his father! I never meant to get him hurt or attacked...It should have been me! I would have gladly gotten hurt to save the relationship. Has Nero forgotten about me already? I hope not...I couldn't bear that.

August 2
Ianios flew down to the rosebush outside the feien shop, landing on the ground. Pyro had delivered the letter, but how long would it take for Nero to get it and arrive? He peeked in through the leaves, but no Nero. It was to be expected, he figured. Well, if Arturo got it, he'd not know it was Ianios who had the note delivered. At least Rynn could write small. He smirked, and flew off, sitting on the branch of a nearby tree, watching. His coloring blended right in, so he'd be hidden if Arturo did come instead of Nero. Now all there was to do was wait.
Ianios sat and watched, looking towards the road, the skies, anywhere he could for Nero. Perhaps Nero had never gotten the note? Had Arturo? Had he figured out who sent it and destroyed it? Ianios sighed. At this rate he'd never see that feien again. Maybe it was silly, he'd only met Nero a few times, yet he was kinda attacted to him. Maybe he ought to give up this silly notion of his. Nero didn't wanna see him, it was obvious. The plant feien sighed, taking off towards his house. Maybe he'd try again another day.
The rosebush. Why would Ian want to meet there? Rosebushes weren't particularly... friendly. They had thorns, after all. Painful thorns. And what if it wasn't even Ian?
What if it was Calico?
Still, Nero steeled himself and had fluttered away from home, slipping out of his father's watchful eye and to the rosebush. He landed in the grass near it and looked around. "Hello?" he called, looking for the green that signaled Ian's presence.
Ianios stopped, having been flying closer to the trees, hearing the voice. Nero. He turned around, and nearly dove headfirst into the rosebush. But he thought better of it and landed outside, ducking under a low branch. "Nero..."
Nero's sensitive ears twitched, picking up the sound of a familiar voice. He looked around, but EVERYTHING was green! He couldn't see Ian like this.
"Ianios? Where are you?" he called, nervously lacing his fingers together. At least he knew it wasn't Calico.
Ianios stepped closer. Nero had gotten his letter...Inside he was shouting with joy, but outside he was calm and cool. He reached out and took Nero's hand in his, giving it a slight squeeze. "Right here."
Nero jumped slightly, surprised. He hadn't heard Ianios sneak up on him. "Oh," he replied quietly, blush coloring his cheeks. "It... it WAS you who left the letter, right?" Nero asked. His encounter with Calico was more than enough to make him suspicious of others. Even now, his cuts were still healing.
Ianios nodded. "Rynn wrote it for me, in case your father got a hold of it." He looked over the shorter feien. Why was he so jumpy? "Nero, I'd not hurt you, you know that. Not on purpose." His voice was nearly breaking and he fought to keep it under control. "Are you...are you not wanting to see me?"
"No, no, that's not it at all!" Nero cried, shaking his head. His hair rippled over his shoulders, thankfully covering the marks there. "I've just had a rough few days. It's nothing to do with you, I promise." he said, offering Ian a wane smile.
Ianios sighed inwardly. Good...he had been so afraid Nero hated him for some reason. Avoiding him. He gave Nero a smile. "Well, reason I asked you here was to take you to my den. It's not far from here and hidden. Only Neruo knows where it is. Want to go there?" He reached out and brushed a lock of hair from Nero's cheek, noticing a couple of scratches. "What happened?" he asked, tracing them with his thumb.
Nero looked away, yellow eyes on the dirt beneath their feet. "It's nothing," he said, shaking his head. His muscles tensed under Ian's fingers as he recalled the memories of his humiliation and defeat, but he pushed them back and smiled at Ianios again, this time more assuringly.
"I'd love to see your den."
Ianios rubbed his thumb over the scratches once more before taking Nero's hand again. He nodded, but if something had happened to him, someone hurting him... Ianios let out a little growl, and moved aside a branch of the rosebush. "Come on, this way." He ducked out, holding the branch up high for Nero to pass through. The thorns were sharp, perfect for arrows, but none would touch his Nero.
Nero fluttered out, hovering outside the bush while waiting for Ianios. He seemed suspicious... but this was Nero's battle. Ianios couldn't know.
Ianios kept his hold on Nero's hand, taking to the air. He flew slow, on purpose so he wouldn't be dragging Nero. It wasn't too long they arrived at the tree. Ianios buzzed upwards, and crawled into a hole in the upper part of the trees. "Come on in," he called out, smirking.
Nero poked his head in, looking around curiously. "Wow! Did you find this?" he asked, studying his surroundings. It was so... nice. Cozy, and soft, if not a bit dark. He pushed some hair out of his eyes and slowly sat down, resting against the bark.
The green feien nodded. "I did...the night your father pushed me off you. I figured we could meet here, if you wanted. We're safe from him." Ianios moved closer, sitting down beside him. He was still a bit overjoyed seeing Nero again and being able to touch him, but he worried as well. What if Arturo followed him? Then what? Would no place be safe? Ian pushed those thoughts from his head, reaching around Nero to hug him gently. "You know..." he began, then stopped, blushing a bit
Nero blinked, turning his face to Ian, looking sheepish. "I'm awfully sorry about his behavior," he said softly. "He just... my father is protective. But I know you would never hurt me." Nero smiled gently at Ianios, wondering what made him blush. Truthfully, Nero's cheeks were tinted red too, but it was hardly visible in the dark den.
"I know what?" he askd, cocking his head to the side.
Ianios rubbed Nero's cheeks again, smirking and blushing. "I..well...how do I say it without sounding stupid?" He smirked. "Aria says I have a boyfriend...I suppose it's true cause I really like you." He looked into Nero's eyes, even though it was getting darker inside the den. He reminded himself to bring a candle or two next time. Something for some light anyway.
"Y-you really like me?" Nero echoed, eyes wide. Oh dear, oh dear. He was blushing even more, so bright that he was almost certain that Ian could see it at this point. Nero shifted his gaze to the floor of leaves, leaning his face into Ian's touch slightly.
"I - I like you a lot too, Ian," he said finally.
Ianios could feel the blush in Nero's cheek, warm in his hands. He too was still blushing pretty strongly. "Why else would I go through so much to see you?" he asked simply. "It was love at first sight, and then when you decided to join me on the adventure...well, that..that.." he trailed off, at a loss for words. Instead, he held Nero to him, rubbing his back, hands playing with his hair.
"Love?" Nero gasped. That was... that was a bit much. Nero was a smart boy. It didn't make sense to fall in love under their circumstances - a few meetings, most of them in secret, and forbidden by his father.
But Ian's touch was really warm and soothing, especially against his cuts. Logic was temporarily disconnected as his eyes fluttered shut, and he leaned slightly against Ian.
Then Ian's fingers got too close to the "C" shaped scar on his shoulder, and Nero jerked away, back pressed against the bark. Calico had attacked Shalafi's friends - had attacked him. What if he did it to Ian?
"I can't," he whimpered.
"Can't?" Ianios echoed, looking at Nero. He held him back a bit, blue eyes wide with conern. What had he done wrong now?? Gah..."Can't what?" Ian asked, running his hand through his own hair, spiking it a bit. His mind was a whirlwind. Could he fix this? How? Flaming dragons, he thought.
Please don't let him leave...Ianios thought.
"Do this," Nero whispered. He swallowed heavily and pushed his hair out of his face, tucking it behind a long, pointed ear. "It's just too much, Ian. I don't think I can." he added, not meeting the other feien's eyes. He wanted to curl up and die by this point.
"Oh." Ianios moved back, letting out a deep sigh, hanging his head. He was glad it was dark in there. Maybe he'd keep it that way instead. He rubbed his eyes hard, determined not to cry. Yes, he had thought best to forget Nero, but he was devoted to the boy....damnit. "Bloody hell....I screwed things up again," he said, pulling his knees to his chest, hugging them. His head dropped to meet them, forehead resting there. He fought back tears. He'd cry when Nero left. Best that way.
"No! No, it's not your fault, Ian!" Nero cried, wrapping his arms around his shoulders. He hated seeing people sad around him. It made him want to cry, too.
"Please, please, PLEASE don't be sad, Ian. You didn't do anything wrong, I swear. I've just... I've just got a lot of problems right now. I don't want to risk you getting hurt," he explained quickly.
Ianios looked up and in the fading light outside, there was sparkles of tears in his eyes. "Getting hurt?" he said, his wings drooping. "From what? What's worse than this?" he asked, rubbing his eyes again as tears threatened to fall. "I can handle hurt from a mouse, a bird, anything like that....this hurts worse than that peck did." He sighed, wanting to touch Nero again, but afraid too now. "I want to be with you, help if I can...I didn't wanna get pushed away."
"I don't want to push you away," Nero said quietly. "But I have to. I don't want to hurt you either. Please, Ian, don't be sad," he pleaded, wiping the tears away from his face with delicate fingers. "I don't want that either."
"Then don't push me away," Ianios whispered, letting go of his legs and wrapping his arms around Nero. He seriously wasn't trying to guilt trip him, honest. But Ian couldn't bear it without Nero. He was a wreck around the house most days. He hugged Nero to him, not tight, but enough to gently hold him close. He buried his face in his hair. "Nero, please..." he whipsered. "You don't have to push me away..."
Nero's fingers curled around his shoulder and he rested his head weakly against Ian's chest. What could he do? Ian was so needy, and Nero liked to give. He hated seeing anyone so upset, especially when they were upset over HIM, and especiallyespecially when that person was Ian.
"But it's dangerous," Nero protested meekly. What if Calico... or Arturo... or lots of things. "Ian, please don't make this any harder than it already his," Nero begged into his neck.
"I don't mind the danger. I'm willing to take whatever Arturo dishes out,"Ian breathed into Nero's long hair. His arms locked around Nero's waist, just holding him. "We can still meet in secret....I don't mind that. But it can't last forever...I mean, I want others to know, but I will stay silent about it." He sighed, stirring Nero's hair. It was soft, very soft. He rested his head on top of Nero's. "Please Nero..." he begged.
Nero couldn't let Ian do this to himself. He didn't know what he was getting into. Nero had a lot of... baggage, and self-esteem issues, and so many icky things that he didn't want Ian getting dragged into.
But he was tired, having trained most of the day, and Ian was warm. Nero sighed against his skin and shook his head slowly. "Ian, I don't know what to do," he admitted, voice muffled. Now HE felt like crying.
Ian nodded, just holding Nero, rubbing his back gently with his hand. "Let me help you. It's all I ask. I don't mind taking what I get for you. It doesn't make it hurt less, sure, but it's worth it. " He kissed the top of Nero's head. "Keep me a secret if you want, and I will help however I can."
"I'm not worth all that," Nero said quietly. His cheeks were burning, and Nero felt like he had a fever, shivering slightly against Ian. He tilted his head up to finally blink up at Ianios, yellow eyes meeting blue. "I'm not worth ANYTHING, Ian, really. There's nothing special about me. A lot of the other feien don't look as weird and ugly - " He bit his lip. No. No unloading baggage on Ian. That was BAD.
Ianios hugged him close, feeling the shiver. "Weird and ugly?" The plant feien planted a kiss on Nero's head, smiling at him. "If you're ugly, then I'm worse." He smirked. "I think you look better than most feien. You're unique. I like it. Not every flower has to look the same, else it'd all be boring. " He ran his hand through Nero's hair and pulled up a few leaves, putting them over Nero so he'd not get cold. Ian layed back, just holding Nero close to him. "If I had to face Arturo for you, I would. Any feien, I would. If you were say...prisoner and I had to fight, I would. You mean that much to me."
Nero's cheeks were BURNING red. "B-but I'm not WORTH it," he protested, but he knew it was useless. Sighing, he wrapped his skinny arms around Ian's neck, resting his head against his collarbone. "Hopefully that won't happen," he muttered. His long fingers gently stroked the hair on the back of Ian's neck.
Ianios shivered slightly himself. His neck was a good spot, he noted. "Worth it to me," Ian breathed, just holding Nero, his hands getting wrapped up in his hair. He smirked, his eyes half closed as he watched Nero in the darkness. "Warm?" he asked, pulling the leaf up a bit.
"Very," Nero replied sleepily. He nuzzled against Ian a bit more, fingers lacing into his short hair. No point in arguing. Nero knew that, deep down, he wasn't worth all this fuss. He was just ugly, clumsy Nero; slow and bumbling, with his strange wings and ridiculous hair.
"I'm sorry about this," he muttered.
Ianios stroked Nero's hair, marveling at how soft it was. "Sorry for what?" Ian asked, blinking a bit. He yawned softly, then asked, " What's there to be sorry about? You got me, I got you. Nothing to be sorry about. You're worth it all to me," Ian stated, hugging Nero tight. "I don't want anyone else. "

August 5 (compiled from the tavern)Night At The Tavern, pt. 1 Celaien flickered into the tavern, curious about the new place that the other Feien all seemed to be going to. The shop had been somewhat empty as of late, and recon on the noteboard had mentioned a new tavern. He grinned as he recognized a face he hadn't seen in quite a while. "Ianios! Hi!" he called, grinning and flying down to settle nearby. Ianios raised his glass to the new feien. "Hey! Come join the party!" he slurred a bit. Oh boy...he loved this sake. He stood up and swayed, out of it. He laughed, noticing the room starting to move. "Oh wow....moving room!!" Celaien blinked as Ianios started to sway. "Woah, careful there, Ian," he said concernedly, stepping forward to grab his arm to steady him. "You alright, man?" He *seemed* to be in a good mood, but... that drink smelled kind of funny. He looked him over. "What *is* that stuff, Ian?" Ianios grinned. "Sake, man you gotta try it!" He held out his cup to Celaien. He was grinning like a madman. "Here's another feien I'd breed with!" Now, if he meant that sober, who knew? Ian dropped his arm over Celaien's shoulders. "We're pals, aren't we? I don't scare ya, do I?" He was half serious, but mostly drunk. Celaien sweated a bit. sweatdrop "Well, yeah, we're pals... um... Sake, you said? I might have heard something from Tsuki about it..." It was a most interesting question to attempt to answer. So the next best thing? Change topics, of course. "I dunno if Cele would want me to try any, but... I guess a little wouldn't hurt." He made sure Ian was well propped against him before taking the cup in his hands and drinking a swallow or two. Ianios still had his arm around Celaien and grinned. "Aye, good drink it is!" He grinned. "Round of sake!" he cried, hiccupping. It was going to be a good night....if he didn't pass out first.Personally, Celaien didn't see what Ian saw in sake. It was very bitter to him. But he liked the warmth of it. Carefully he took another drink of it. It was starting to make his stomach feel nice and warm, so he figured that was enough for him. He handed the cup back to Ianios. "Come on, let's find you somewhere to sit, before we both fall over," he said, half laughing at the idea. He wasn't sure if it'd have the same effect on him as it did Ian, but just to be safe... Jhiri cleaned glasses behind the bar in between doling out the round of sake and keeping an eye on the pair of Feien. Ianios was showing signs of inebriation so she was on the alert for any need to cut him off. She hummed to herself as she worked. Ianios nodded, all warm, tingly, and very drunk. He sorta plopped himself down on the counter, grinning, though his eyes seemed unfocused. "I like you." He said, downing the cup. He hiccuped, grinning. "So...am I scary? Cause I like trouble? Everyone else thinks so." He was loose now."I don't think you're scary," Celaien replied honestly. "C'mon, let's get you to a proper seat..." He half-pulled Ian off the counter, figuring the barkeep wouldn't much like him sitting there, and pulled him over to one of the chairs by the unlit hearth. He sat in one, pulling Ian into his lap so he could make sure he didn't fall over or anything. The green feien seemed rather unsteady from the amount of sake he'd had. Ianios giggled, sounding odd from him. "I want a pony, Santa," he muttered, half sitting in Celaien's lap, half leaning over. He snickered again and leaned more on the red feien. "You're cute."Celaien blushed at the compliment, then smiled slightly. "You aren't half bad looking yourself, Ian," he murmured, looping an arm around Ian to keep him stable and using his free hand to gently stroke his hair. He was feeling kind of fuzzy himself now, but not half so bad as Ian seemed to be.

August 6 (compiled from tavern)The Morning After... Celaien woke slowly, his brain all fogged-feeling and kind of painful. Not very, but a little. He was still in the chair by the hearth with Ian on his lap. He smiled gently at the younger feien's sleeping face, nudging him with his nose. "Hey... time to wake up, sleepy head," he said softly. Ianios' blue eyes fluttered open, and he groaned, nearly pitching backwards. His head pounded. Oh flaming dragons, what had he drank last night?? Even the light that streamed in was too much for him. He leaned his head over on Celaien's shoulder. "Gah....what happened?" he muttered into his shoulder."I think you might have had a little too much to drink," Celaien said softly. "Does your head hurt?" *Now* he remembered what Tsuki had said about sake... It was alcohol, so too much and you'd get something called a hangover the next morning that hurt like nobody's business. He ran his fingers through Ian's hair gently, trying to make him feel better. Ianios nodded, enjoying the touch. "Yeah...whole hell of a lot." He closed his eyes tight, using the shadow of the red feien's shoulder for protection. Now he knew why Rynn told him to avoid the alcoholic drinks, like wine and beer. But she hadn't mention sake. "That feels good." "Poor thing," he said, nuzzling his forehead gently. Celaien looked around for somewhere shady - Cele certainly despised the light whenever *she* had a headache, and from the looks of it, Ian was feeling the hurt too. He put his free arm under Ianios's legs, and using one of his wings as a light shield, stood up and started carrying him to a nice, dark corner. Ianios leaned on Celaien, and once he settled into the darkened corner, he relaxed more. But his head pounded something fierce. Would it ever pass? He sighed, reaching up to rub his temples. He liked Celaien, that was for sure. "Thank you." His whole head felt as if it'd come off it hurt so much. The warm feelings were gone and what was left made him feel all terrible. He wanted to curl up and die he felt so awful."Here, let me... face the corner, hmkay?" Celaien ordered gently. Keeping his large red wings up to make the corner as shady as possible, he scooted up behind Ian and started to gently and methodically massage his neck and shoulders, between his wings and back up to his temples and the back of his neck. He learned a lot from his housemates through observation, and whenever Dae's head hurt, this was what Tenan or Cele would do. Ianios visibly relaxed, sighing softly. He nearly purred, and tried to rumble as Rynn had once when she was pleased, but neither sound came out quite right. He leaned back against Celaien's hands. "You're good at that." Celaien smiled. "I take it you're feeling better, then?" he murmured into Ian's ear. "That's good." He gave the feien's shoulders one last knead, then wrapped his arms around Ian's waist. "So what's wrong, that made you so upset last night? If I'm prying, you don't have to tell me." Ianios leaned back into Celaien's arms. "Had been thinking, really. What if I'm not good enough for Nero? His father certainly dislikes me. I'm trouble, seem to get most hurt around me, though I try not too. I get the feeling the others don't like me, Nero just trying to please me." He sighed deeply. "Shalafi spoke of gemstones, merging with one. I think I'd be better off doing that than breeding. No one needs more of me running around." He rubbed his eyes for a moment. "The sake just helped bring it all up to the surface. It's a fear...that no one will want me." Nero? And... Ianios?? This was news to him, but then, he hadn't been around the shop much lately. Something that was going to change, and right now. He tightened his hold on Ianios just a little, nuzzling his shoulder gently. "Ian, you're good enough for any feien you choose. You're a wonderful individual, and don't ever let anyone, not even Arturo, convince you otherwise." He took a deep breath, trying to gather courage, and the right words. "Ian... even if nobody else does.. *I* want you here... You... you're special... and.." he paused, blushing slightly and pulling at his reserves of determination. "And... if you chose me... then... then I would choose you back." He waited, frozen but almost trembling, for Ian's response. Ianios turned his head quickly and whimpered. Too fast! Gods, that hurt badly. "You would?" he asked as that stab of pain past. He blinked, turning so he could see Celaien better. His hand came out, brushing his cheek. "Seriously?" He was torn. He did like him, he did, but he liked Nero as well. But Celaien wasn't forbidden to see him. He had no intention of hurting either, but maybe he should let Nero go. Perhaps it'd be better. Oh lord...he was torn between them. But hey, he could love more than one! Who said he had to choose one? He tried finding the right words. "I..I'd be honored. I don't want to hurt either of you, but I'm honored." Was he messing this up? He hoped not. He was feeling all warm again, but this was a different warmth. "Celaien, I dunno how good I am, but I'll do my best by you. And Nero as well."Celaien flooded with relief, letting out a breath he hadn't been aware he'd been holding. He hugged Ian tightly, pulling him closer to him, and kissed his forehead. "I understand. And I can live with that." He leaned his forehead against Ianios's and smiled gently. "As long as you love me, I can live with that quite well." Ianios smiled back. Load off his mind, he hadn't screwed that up. "I'll take you to my den one day. It's nearby but my head's a pounding. And it's nice right here." He hadn't thought he'd find love during all this. He had told Nero he hadn't wanted anyone else, but he found out how wrong he was. He really enjoyed Celaien's company. He hugged him to him. "I do love you. I will try not to let you get hurt either.""I think I'd like that. Now rest some, so your head will feel better, okay?" Celaien replied. He lifted a hand to start stroking Ian's hair again, smiling softly at the feien curled against him. There was a lot of thinking to be done, but he'd do that later. Right now, he was content to just sit and watch over the green feien. Ianios curled against the taller feien, sighing softly. It felt good to be touched. He really enjoyed having his hair stroked. His head wasn't pounding so hard. He gave Celaien a smile, holding him close around the waist. He didn't say anything, just held him.

August 7- 30
((Time is a lot different on Rynn's homeworld than it is on Gaia.))
I don't have much time...I know I don't have any way to get out of this, so I ask the winds to carry this message...goodbye Rynn...I'm sorry I never made it back to you as I'd promised when I left...
Rynn looked up from the book she was reading. The sending was familar. Naaro...but he was dead...killed in the fight with humans. They'd never found his body, his gorgerous red and black body, but she had known. So why the sending now? Was there someone trying to trick her?
But what if it wasn't a trick? What if he had really gotten injured? Injured, and captured? The fighting wasn't all that long ago. Had he managed to hide himself until he had been taken prisoner? It was too much to think about.
Rynn put the book aside, and rushed to her room. She would have to find him. She wouldn't need much, she knew. Her home world had plenty. As she started gathering up a few needed things, Ianios flew over, watching. "What's going on?" he asked, settling down on the soft cover of the bed.
Rynn did not look up as she packed. Most where things he'd never seen before and he was curious. He started to crawl into the pack to look at them all when she gently lifted him out. "No. You're not going and you're not touching my things," she told him, settling him down on the bed once again.
"But Rynn, what is all that stuff? What's going on?" he demanded to know. That drew Aria's attention away from Pooky and Cutter, and she flew over. She said nothing as a shiny medallion was put into a pocket of the backpack.
Rynn didn't look to either as she closed the pack. "I got a message and I must return to my world. You are to stay here."
"I don't want to stay here!" Ianios cried, flying up to his bond's face. "I wanna go with you. It sounds like a grand adventure!"
Rynn shook her head. "No, you are to stay here with Aria and Liliana. It is dangerous, my world. I am not the only dragon there. There are plenty who roam the skies, the earth, the waters. A few I know, most I do not. They'd eat you. Here it is safer."
"But why do you have to go?" Aria asked. She had taken the bedspread in her hands, her fingers rubbing over it. "And how long will you be gone?"
Rynn shrugged, sitting down on the bed as well. "I don't know how long I'll be gone. But like I said, I received a message from someone once dear to me. I must check it out."
Ianios cocked his head to the side, blinking. "Someone like Nero and Celaien is to me?"
The dragoness nodded, rubbing her eyes. She'd not break down in front of her Feien. "A bit yes. We....we were once lovers. But when the humans decided to wipe us out, he went off to war. He never returned, and we never found his body. My Naaro is gone. But I got a message from him a little while ago...perhaps he didn't die...was only injured..."
"But if he's like you, couldn't he have gone human?" Aria asked, looking up at her bondmate. She could see the tears sparkling in the orange eyes.
"Not with the weapons those humans used. They seemed to prevent healing through normal means, which is either healing breath, which all dragons have, or magical healing. Normal, natural healing to a dragon can take centuries." She sighed softly, tighting her blue ponytails. How long had it been since he was hurt? Why hadn't he called to her before now?? Why did he want her to think he was dead? She'd have flown to him in a heartbeat.
Ianios nodded. "How long ago was this battle?" It sounded interesting. He really wanted to go see this new world.
Rynn thought a moment, thinking back. She had been on the world of Gaia for over a year now, and she had fled there after the supposed death of Naaro. "Almost 2 years ago."
Aria stood, her hands on her hips. "He let you believe he was dead for nearly two years?!" she cried. That wasn't right. She'd have to speak to this Naaro. How, she didn't know, but she would.
Rynn looked down to her Feien, her eyebrows raised. "I have the feeling it's not actually him. We never found his body. It could be another dragon...." She trailed off. The send was familar, soft and gentle. Naaro was a well known fighter, and he wouldn't back down unless she'd been threatened. He was always soft and gentle with her. She smiled softly thinking back to a nuzzling they had shared. His wing over her body, his neck over hers. Paws crossed, resting in the cave they shared. When human they were either always holding hands, touching one another like they couldn't believe the other was there. It was painful now, but back then, she felt all warm and tingly.
"So why would another call out to you as him?" Ianios asked, breaking her thoughts. "That's cruel."
The blue haired human shrugged. "I don't know but that's why I'm going to go find out. Stay right here." She left the Feien, heading to the kitchen.
Ianios looked to Aria. "She isn't going alone."
Aria blinked, turning towards her brother. "What do you mean?" Then it dawned on her. Ianios was going to go along even after Rynn had told him to stay at home. "Wait, Ian, you can't! She said for us to stay here!"
Ianios smirked, already climbing into her pack. "If it is another dragon pretending to be Naaro, she will need us. Who knows what'll happen? Sure, we aren't dragons ourselves, but we gotta go."
Liliana, who had been reading Lord of the Rings, flew over to the bed, nodding her head. "I'll cover for you. I'll even take care of the pets while you're away."
Both Feien looked to the Maien. Aria was the first to speak. "You will? But....why?"
Liliana gave the blue Feien a smile, a geniune smile. "Rynn is our bond. I do not have a taste for adventure, like Ian does. And Aria, you have magic he doesn't. You both should go. And someone will have to stay with Pooky, Cutter, Erin, and all the others. Might as well be me, should it not?"
Ian looked to Aria. "She's right, sis." He was already mostly inside the bag, nestling into a pocket. "Room for two." He called out hopefully.
Aria looked from Liliana, to Ian, and back to Liliana. Her mind was awhirl. What if they arrived and Rynn discovered them? Would she be angry or grateful?
"I'll cover for you. I'll say Ian went out to explore the yard again and you...you went swimming. She'll buy it."
Aria nodded, and Ian moved over as she crawled into the pocket. She was pulling the flap down when Rynn re-entered the room. In her hands was a plate, and she set it down on the bed, looking to Liliana, her brow creased. "Where's Aria and Ian?"
Liliana fought down the smirk she knew was coming to her lips. "Ian decided he'd go explore the yard some more, and Aria went out to swim. They decided you were right." The lie came easy. She glanced to the plate. Rynn had made them lunch.
"Alright....it is too dangerous for them." She nodded, picking up the pack. "I made plenty for a few days. There are grapes, granola, lunch meat...it's all in places you guys can get too. I'm not sure how long I'll be gone however."
Liliana nodded. That was fine with her. The pets were relativly quite anyway, so she could read in peace. She didn't eat much so whatever Rynn had fixed would last for days, as the pets had their own food. "Well, I hope you find him. Or what's going on if it's not him."
Rynn nodded, hurrying out of her house.
She hadn't gone far into the woods when she came upon a tree. Standing in from of it, she said something. Inside the pack, the Feien could hear her, but couldn't understand what was said. "Latrop eht nepo ot uoy geb I, snoisnemid fo eert!"
There was a glow, a glow so powerful that even on the other side of the back, facing away from the tree, Aria and Ianios could see it. Ianios rubbed his eyes, leaning over to whisper to Aria. "What's that?" Aria could only shrugged.
Rynn moved forward, stepping though the portal, it closing up behind her. She walked though the other side, and the portal that had opened before to the other side closed. Ianios took the chance and went to lift the flap over the pocket. Aria grabbed his arm. "Wait," she hissed. Ianios nodded, settling back into the pocket.
Rynn set the pack down, stretching. "Home, sweet home," she muttered, looking around. She was standing in a forest, similar to her home back on Gaia. There was a roar overhead and she looked up, shifting form to answer back. Blue wings broke free of her back, her head shifted, her nose and mouth growing longer, snoutlike. Her hands and feet changed into claws, horns breaking free of her temples. Her teeth grew longer, pointed. All traces of her hair and clothes vanished, and in their place blue scales glittered. She roared back, picking up her pack again. She flapped her wings, flying into the air. There was a smaller green dragon hovering nearby, eyeing her.
Rynn circled her, trying to figure out who she was. A hatching, it looked like. [Greetings,] she called out in her native tongue, which to the Feien sounded like gibberish. [I am Rynn, who might you be?]
The green one looked at her with yellow eyes, then bowed. [I am Ruora, Rynn. It has been a good while since you have been here. Father said you left before I hatched.]
Rynn nodded, holding her pack close. It swung in the air, the Feien peeking out of the pocket. They were really high up. Aria pulled Ianios back inside. [Who might your father be?]
[Droc,] answered the hatchling. Rynn nodded, remembering Droc. He was taller than she, towering over her. Granted, he was also way older than she. He was green, like his daughter as well. He was an elder, gentle, more like a grandfather to her.
Rynn couldn't remember her own parents, they had simply vanished before she hatched. Only ones she remembered as parents to her were Jausan and Pruna. [Why have you returned?] Ruora asked, sounding curious. [I do not mean to pry, but father said you left in tears, vowing never to return.]
Rynn sighed, her tail twitching in the air. [I seek one who called out to me. Naaro is his name....my former mate.]
Ruora held a claw to her snout. [Father said Naaro vanished in the fight with the humans. How could he have called to you?]
The blue dragon shrugged. [I don't know. But I plan on finding out.]
Ruora nodded, flying past Rynn. [This way, Rynn. Perhaps Father can help you.]
Rynn turned, her pack slipped from her grasp. Two voices screamed from inside as it fell. Rynn dove after it, her hearing much more sensitive in dragon form. She knew those voices well. Claws out, she grabbed the pack, hugging it close. Once it was safe, she opened the flap, her large orange eye peering in. Two small Feien faces peered back out, both visibily shaken. "I ought to get onto you two," she hissed at them, flying behind the smaller green.
"It was Ian's idea!" Aria cried, hugging Ianios close. Ianios nodded, too frightened by the fall to speak. He had his arms around Aria, his face in her shoulder. She was rubbing his back, trying to sooth him. He was use to danger, but the fall and knowing how high up they were had frightened the poor boy.
"Later," Rynn said, closing the flap. As she looked back up, she noticed Ruora looking at her.
[Who do you speak too?]
[I will tell you later.]
Ruora nodded, eyeing the pack her elder carried. Was there a creature in there? It certainly would be fun to see something that small that could fit in a pack like that.
The two dragons landed outside an archway, high in the mountains. Two guards stood on either side, in human form. Neither wore armor nor carried any weapons. There was no need. After all, they were dragons. Both dragons transformed, Ruora transforming into what looked to be a ten year old child, with emerald green hair and amber colored eyes. Rynn smiled. She'd be a heartbreaker when she grew up, she could tell already. They walked past the guards and through the archway, into a small village.
People milled around, some giving waves to the two females. Children ran and laughed, playing in the streets. Merchants called out wares. The scent of fresh meat hung in the air. The village looked alot like a human village. It was good to be home.
Aria and Ianios peered out of the pocket on the backpack, eyes wide. "Oh wow......" Ianios breathed, looking this way and that. He started crawling out of the pack. He wanted closer looks at it all.
"Ian, get back here!" came Aria's shrill cry as he climbed out, clinging to the pack.
Rynn stopped, halting Ruora. "Hang on a moment." Taking her pack off, she turned it around. Ianios stared up at her, a goofy grin on his face. Aria was sorta stunned. "Ok, guys, come on out." Ianios let go, flying up around her. Aria climbed on out, smiling. "Next time I tell you to stay home, I mean STAY HOME!"
Ianios cringed, diving down at Aria. Aria caught him in her arms, hugging him. "We're sorry," Aria began, but Ian butted in.
"But it's an adventure! I wanted to come!! I HAD too!"
Rynn shook her head, Ruora coming over, blinking at the two Feien. "Fairies, Rynn?" she asked. She had never seen fairies like these before.
"Not fairies, Feien. Related I'm sure. This is Ianios," gestering to the green one, "And Aria."
Ruora smiled, sticking out her finger to Ian, who took it and shook it. "Pleasure's mine," he said with a grin. She giggled. Aria only shook her head.
"You two stay with me. No going off by yourselves, you hear?" Rynn said, glaring at Ianios in particular. The Feien nodded, Ianios pouting a slight bit. Rynn tossed her pack over her shoulder. "Alright, lets go."
Ruora nodded, leading the way to her house. It wasn't that far from the archway into the village. She opened the door and stepped inside, followed by Rynn and her Feien. "Father, I'm home!"
An eldery silvery blue haired man stepped out from the back, smiling at his daughter. "Roura...who's this with you?" He sniffed the air before she could answer. "Rynn?"
Rynn smiled. "Aye, it's me, Droc." Her two Feien hung close to her, Ianios eyeing the older male.
"Who's that with you?" His eyesight wasn't so good anymore, being well over a thousand years old. But his sense of small and hearing hadn't failed him yet. He could hear Ian buzzing near him, and smell him. Woody scent to that Feien. The other had a bit of a sea scent to her. He gestured to some seats.
Rynn sat, hissing at Ianios. "Ianios and Aria, my Feien." Ianios flew back to her, taking in the living room. He buzzed up, looking at everything. Aria sat on Rynn's shoulder.
"Feien?" He had never heard of such creatures. He beckoned Aria over, knowing Ianios was buzzing around. In the still house, he sounded a bit like a bee. Aria flew over, landing in his out stretched hand.
"A fairy, I suppose, but they're not like fairies. Aria there is a water elemental Feien, while Ianios is a plant elemental. They are bonded to me, coming from flowers, though Ian was a leaf before he emerged."
Droc nodded, bringing Aria closer to him. He could see her a bit better now, bright blue in his pale hand. Female looking, quite pretty. Dragonlike wings as well. "Do they transform?"
Rynn smirked. "No, Droc. They do grow up however. Ianios is still a child. Aria is an adult."
Droc looked to Aria, smiling gently at her. "Do you have magic, little one?"
"Oh yes! I can breathe underwater, and purify water, and spray it..." She trailed off, trying to remember what else she could do.
Droc ran a finger over her hair. "Good. Rynn might need you."
Rynn looked back at her elder from where Ianios was up on a shelf, exploring. "You know why I returned?" Droc nodded. "So you know where Naaro could be?"
"Aye, I do." Aria flew from his hand and back to Rynn, returning to her seat on her shoulder. "He was last seen flying over Arkata. I would suggest looking there."
Rynn was a bit stunned. How could Droc knew why she had returned home, looking for Naaro? Had he sent out a call to him as well? "Thank you. Ian, come here." Ianios buzzed over, looking a tad upset at having been called away from his exploring. "I will take my leave now."
"One other thing, Rynn,"Droc added, leaning back in his chair. "Humans have taken over that island. If indeed Naaro is still alive, they might have captured him by now."
Rynn nodded, and with her two Feien, hurried out.
Rynn flew over the island, having transformed back into her dragon form. In her pack were Ianios and Aria. She had felt it too dangerous for them to try and hang onto her as she flew. She landed on the beach, shifting back into human. If there was humans here, she'd have to be careful. She lifted the flap to the pocket where her Feien hid, motioning them to stay put.
"But Rynn...I wanna see the island!" Ianios protested, pouting.
"No, you can leave the flap up, but stay in there. I might have to fight or something, I dunno yet. Just stay in the pocket."
Ianios sighed and nodded. "Alright."
Rynn pulled the backpack over her shoulders, and walked into the jungle that covered most of the island. Every so often, she's stop and sniff, trying to locate Naaro or his body. She was careful where she walked, orange eyes peering around. She did not want to step into a trap or on his body. It wasn't long before she heard the hum of generators. Carefully making her way to where the hum was the loudest, she peeked through the leaves of a bush.
There was Naaro, lying under a large net. It was glowing green, and Naaro had his eyes closed. The generators were nearby, the net hooked to them. They kept the net powered.
She ducked back as two human males walked by. They were talking and she kept an ear close as they stopped in front of her, their backs to her.
"These power dampeners are quite effective," said the dark-haired man to the shorter, blond-haired man. He had a short mustache and beard, and held a harpoon with an electrified tip in his hands.
"Yes," agreed the blond man. "They'll make it quite easy to skin them considering how we used to have to do it," he added.
Rynn gasped softly, her Feien crawling up onto her shoulders to see. They were going to skin her Naaro?
The dark-haired man chuckled, seeming to remember a previous experience skinning a dragon. "Indeed...thus is the course of technology's evolution. Pretty soon we'll be able to turn these beasts into cattle."
Rynn growled, but her growl was covered by Naaro's. He was awake, but he looked so tired. His lids drooped over his dull ruby eyes. He looked sick, and Rynn longed to go to him. But these two were in her way. And there was nearly a dozen more guarding him, milling around. She'd have no chance. But she had to rescue him!
"Dumb beast," the blond man said, hearing Naaro's growl. ""Good thing those dampeners are all the way up. You're too weak to attack us."
Rynn growled. She had to find out how to rescue him before they killed him.
The man then took his harpoon and jabbed Naaro, causing him to let out a cry as the electricity and the poke of the harpoon's point combined in causing him pain. The man chuckled and continued on his patrol. Naaro's eyes then glanced up and caught Rynn behind the bushes. *Rynn,* he spoke via his mind, his thoughts floating the message through the winds to her. *I can see you...*
Rynn smiled. *Beloved, I am here to rescue you. But I don't know how! What can I do?*
*Destroy the generators,* he advised. *If you destroy them, the power dampener will go down and I can help you. There are a lot of humans in this camp, and you won't be able to fight all of them alone...their technology is too advanced. Bring down the dampener field, and we can escape.*
Rynn nodded, looking to Aria and Ian. She whispered to them. "Hide in the tree. Wait on me to come get you." Aria nodded, taking Ianios to the tree. Rynn shifted to dragon, roaring, blasting one of the generators. It blew up, and she blasted another.
The humans were slow to react, unaware another dragon had gotten close. They started gathering around her, attempting to take her down, but with a flap of her wings, she rose into the air. She blasted another generator.
Naaro could feel his power return. He roared, getting to his feet, as another generator blew behind him. The dampener was dying, his strength returning. He turned towards some humans, opening his mouth. A blast of energy came screaming out, consuming the humans where they stood. Rynn flew overhead, flaming a pathway through the humans. Naaro looked around, spitting energy blasts at the running humans. Fire rained down on those he missed.
Soon it was a barren wasteland, the humans' blackened remains littered the ground, the generators smoking. Rynn landed, shifting back to human, walking to Naaro. She gestured towards the tree, her Feien flying to her.
"That was so cool!" Ianios cried. "Do it again!!" He was hyper. He loved fights and that had made his day.
Rynn smirked. "Naaro..." she whispered, turning her attention from her Feien to her mate. Her eyes watered, looking up at his towering form.
Naaro let out a roar of triumph, an expression of his joy of having his life returned to him by this rescue. As he roared, it begin to change into a yell as he shrunk. His wings receded into his back, and his body lost its draconic size and form as it transformed into that of a 6-foot tall, maroon-haired, ruby-eyed human. He smiled gently at her, his arms out.
With a cry, Rynn ran into his arms, nearly falling into them. She sobbed openly, clinging to him. "Oh Naaro..." she cried. He rubbed her back, kissing her forehead.
"Shhh..." he said, seeing her two Feien flying around her. He raised an eyebrow, but said nothing, just rubbing her back.
Later, the little group was flying back towards the village. Ianios and Aria had been bundled back into the pack, which Rynn carried. She kept close to Naaro. "So what are those creatures?" he asked, gesturing to her pack where Ian was looking out the pocket. "Fairies?"
"Feien. I bonded to them on Gaia."
"Gaia?" Naaro raised an eyeridge. "Another dimension?"
Rynn nodded. "I fled there after your..." She trailed off. He wasn't dead, so what could she say? "Supposed death. I was so heartbroken and the tree's portal opened there. So I've lived there."
Naaro nodded. "I suppose you want to know what happened to me?" Rynn nodded, her wing touching his as they flew over the ocean. "Alright. So what do you know?"
Rynn thought a moment. "Well, I know you crashed after the humans shot you, but after that, I don't know much else. The others wanted to search, but since the fighting was so fierce, they couldn't. They assumed you dead after no contact from you."
Naaro kept flying, not looking at his mate as he talked. "The humans had shot me in the wing, so I crashed. I couldn't fly. I did not want to risk the others looking for me. So I hid in the forests until the humans left the area. After they left, I tried to contact you, the others, but my telepathy wasn't able to reach far enough, as you know that island is on another continent."
Rynn blinked. "But you were able to reach me on Gaia."
"I was in distress, beloved mate. Somehow it got to you and for that, I am glad." He landed on the beach of their homeland, looking up at her as she too landed. He nuzzled her, smiling gently.
Rynn smiled. "As well as I am, Naaro," she replied, nuzzling him.
Naaro smiled. "As much as I know the others will want to see me, I do not want to return home just yet. May we go to this Gaia of yours so I can rest?"
Rynn nodded, secretly pleased. Her mate was to be hers, and hers alone, once again. It was like before the war, in their own private cave. "Alright. Let us fly to the Tree of Dimensions."
The two dragons flew back to the forest, landing in the clearing. Both transformed into their human bodies and Rynn walked to the tree. She called out the spell in Draconic and the portal opened. Ian stared as the leaves of the tree changed from green to purple. "Oh wow..."
"It's a special tree, Ianios," Rynn told him smirking. She stepped through the portal, Naaro following. On the other side, Ianios flew out of the pocket, Aria right after him. Rynn turned to Naaro, taking his hand in hers. "Welcome to my home."

August 30 (Afternoon)
It wasn't too long after Rynn, Naaro, Aria, and Ianios returned to Gaia and her home, when Rynn took Ianios outside for a chat with him. She sat on her porch, leaning back in the chair, offering the plant Feien a place on the table. He sat, looking up at her.
"What is it?" he asked.
Rynn looked down at him. "Ian, I get the sneaky feeling you're biting off more that you can chew."
"Huh?" came the puzzled reply.
"You and Nero and Celaien. It's perfectly alright to be in love with more than one Feien -"
"What about us?" Ianios butted in. He was not liking where this was going. Was she trying to break him and Nero or him and Celaien up? Maybe doing what Arturo had done, barred Ianios from seeing either! "No!" he suddenly cried. "You can't bar me from seeing either!! Please Rynn!" he sobbed, holding his head in his hands.
"Ian, I'm not going to bar you from seeing anyone." Rynn reached out, rubbing his head with her finger. "I was just saying, it's not right to lead either on. You and Nero haven't had the time to really get to know one another. I think what you feel for him is friendship. Maybe it's the same way you feel for Celaien as well. Close friendship. Celaien I think has some feelings for you, but you've simply haven't been around Nero enough to know what you're feeling. And I'm sure he feels the same way. " She paused, looking for the right words. Ianios looked at her and her heart nearly broke. He looked so unhappy, but it had to be said. "Let things go slow. Don't rush either. I know you're romantic and part of romance is going slow. Besides, we've been gone for three weeks here, though back home it doesn't feel like it. Three weeks is a lot of time, I know. Feelings change."
Ianios nodded, still upset looking. "I know... maybe I'm rushing everything too fast."
Rynn smiled softly. "Yes, enjoy being a child. Don't rush into love. Trust me, it took me a long time to find Naaro. And after I thought he had died...." She trailed off, not really wanting to think on that.
"Go on," Ianios prodded. He was curious about her. She never really opened up to either of them, more like keeping them an arm's length from her true feelings. He couldn't understand why, either.
"I refused to fall for another." There, that was it.
"Why?"
Rynn sighed, leaning back to stare at the ceiling. "I didn't want to get hurt again. Love hurts, trust me. It can wound worse than anything. I don't want you getting hurt or hurting either one of them. I don't know everything that's gone on with you and Nero or Celaien either and I'm not suppose to know as it's your life. But I don't want to see you hurt. I don't want them hurt either."
Ianios slowly nodded, letting it all sink in. She was right, he realized. It wasn't fair to either Feien, as much as he liked them. He thought back to the den, with Nero that afternoon, oh so long ago. He knew he had been making Nero uncomfortable, forcing him into it and it was wrong. What a fool he had been! "Gah..."
Rynn looked to him, sitting back upright. "Something the matter?" she asked gently.
Ianios stood, walking to her. He crawled onto her palm she held out for him and laid down on it. He knew Rynn spoke only the truth. Maybe he ought to go to Nero, somehow, and tell him he'd be around if he needed him, but he'd give him his space. If he found someone else, then he'd be happy for him. But it'd be hard without Nero. "Just thinking," he said outloud, not looking up at her.
"It'll be alright Ianios," she whispered, bring her hand up to kiss his head. "Letting go hurts. Sometimes though, it's the right thing. In the end, you'll wind up happier. Nero might choose you, he might not. Same with Celaien."
"We never know, do we?"
Rynn gave her Feien a gentle, sad smile. "We never do. Just be nice to them both, maybe bring them a flower to express how sorry you are to do it, but explain you felt it had to be done. Or rather I felt it, however you wish to tell them. Let them react and see what happens from there. At best, you'll have both, at worse neither. But strive for them both remaining your friend, ok?"
Ianios nodded, just lying in her hand. She was warm and it felt good. "Alright."

Sept 1
((As it was posted over the course of a few days and ended up being completed in AIM))
Celaien was lying listlessly in the garden, staring at the sky. He hadn't seen Ianios in.. well... it felt like *foreeever*.
Aria was leading Ianios to Celaien's house after they arrived back home. The plant Feien had been bugging Aria to take him over there since they got home. Spying Cel in the yard, Ian yelped and flew straight over. "Celaien!"
Celaien jumped, looking around in shock. Surely it couldn't be... THERE! "Ian!" he yelped, glomping the other Feien and clinging to him with all his might. Hold on... He pushed the other feien away at arm's length, studying him. "You grew!" he exclaimed, looking up and down the now-taller-than-him green feien.
Ianios grinned, and hugged the smaller Feien. "Aye, that I did!" He was much taller now than Celaien, and though it was a bit odd, he still liked it! Aria had flown over to study a plant, leaving him with Cel. "Do you like?"
"I do!" he replied, grinning. "But I can't use you as a chin rest anymore!" He hugged Ianios fiercely anyway. It felt strange, leaning against the was-shorter now-taller feien's chest. "I missed you..."
Ianios smirked, holding the heat Feien in close. He rubbed his back. "I missed you too." He looked down at the one he wanted to call his mate. "But we need to talk." Inside he was nervous...very nervous. What if Cel rejected him?
"Yeah, you're right... we do..." Celaien said, suddenly feeling very uneasy. What if Ianios decided he was too mature for Celaien? What if he left him behind...? He pointed up to the balcony above them. "That should be a good spot to sit," he said mutedly, tugging Ianios that way.
Ianios nodded, and took a seat. He glanced at Celaien. Where to start? "I...I think we should slow down....I mean, Rynn said I was rushing things, I should enjoy being a kid...well, when I was a kid...and I don't wanna rush you, make you uncomfortable..." Ianios sighed, glancing to his feet. He hoped Cel wouldn't push him away.
Celaien let out a whoosh of air he hadn't realized he'd been holding. "Yeah, Dae said the same thing... about slowing our relationship down, yanno... To let it grow in its own time..." He leaned against Ianios, nuzzling his shoulder a touch. "But I do still want to be together. I *want* the relationship to grow..."
Ianios smiled and hugged Celaien to him. "That's what I want as well. I think I might have rushed Nero. I knew he was uncomfortable, and I don't want that again. I...I'd rather do it right this time." He ran his hand down Cel's back, just gently caressing him. He had spoken his true feelings.
He didn't mean to, but he stiffened unconsciously, then forced himself to relax. He pulled away a little to look into Ian's eyes. "Ian.. I want to know... What is it that you really feel for Nero? And... and for me?" he asked, looking away and biting his lower lip anxiously.
Ianios sighed. He knew it'd be asked. "Well, at first...it was friendship....then I became obsessed, I guess. He was my first friend, other than Aria. Though she's more a sister." He sighed, looking to Cel. "As for you....well, I think it's a deeper thing than friendship. I want it to blossom into more than that, if it happens that is." Lords, he prayed this would work. He adored Celaien...he really did. If he lost him...
Celaien smiled in relief and joy, snuggling against Ian's side a little. "Well, we may not be immortal, but we have plenty of time to find out more about each other and let it grow like it should," he said contentedly, twining his fingers in Ian's. "So... what's your favorite food, then?" he asked teasingly, grinning.
Ianios moved closer to the heat Feien, the blush fading down to his cheeks. He knew he was right. And he was happy, Cel hadn't rejected him. Inside he was singing for joy. Outside, he just grinned. "Yeah..." He actually had to think a moment on that one. There were so many...what had they eatten last night? Pizza? He'd go with that. "Pizza."
Celaien laughed a little. "I like pizza too, but I'd hafta say s'mores are my favorite. You ever had one?"
Shaking his head, Ianios frowned. "Never heard of them. Are they good?"
"Yesss... want to see if Cele will make us one in the microwave? It's marshmallows and chocolate and graham crackers," he explained, grinning at the thought.
Ianios grinned, nodding. "Yeah!" Aria then flew up. "Should I head home?"
Celaien almost jumped at Aria's sudden appearance. Had she been listening the whole time?? "N-nah, you can come and try one if you like," he said, trying to calm his heartrate back down.
Ianios had forgotten himself she had flown with him to Cel's house. "Yeah, sis, come join us." She grinned. "Good, I like sweets!" She winked at Celaien as if to say she heard, but her lips were zipped.
Celaien grinned back, blushing slightly. Ah well, I guess it's a sister's perogative to know... he thought. "Well come on then, let's go get some s'mores!" he said happily.
Aria flew on into the house, leaving Ianios and Celaien outside. Ianios got to his feet and offered his hand to Cel. "Wanna race?" Celaien grinned cheekily up at him. "Sure!" he said, shifting over to his hands and knees and taking off from the ground, laughing.
Ianios blinked and laughed, chasing after him. "No fair!"
"Myaa! Catch me if you can!" Celaien called back, grinning and laughing. He had never felt so absolutely *alive* in his life. And he liked it.
Ianios laughed, his wings buzzing hard after Celaien. He reached out, flapping as hard as he could to catch him. His fingertips brushed over the heat Feien's foot. "Almost...."
"Meep!" he squeaked, jerking his foot away. "No tickling, that's not fair!"
Ianios laughed. He kept reaching out, trying to grab a hold of his foot. His wings buzzed hard, making him sound close to a hummingbird. Finally his hand grabbed hold of his ankle, and he grinned. "Got you!"
Celaien smiled, slowing down. "That you do," he said, taking Ian's hand and giving it a little squeeze. "That you do."
Ianios blushed again, and squeezed back. He had nothing to say, he was so tonguetied at the moment.
They finally reached the kitchen and Aria, who had already *ahem* "persuaded" Celelorien to make them s'mores. It being not very difficult as she was in the mood for gooey smushness anyway.
Ianios settled down on the table, watching the s'more cook in the microwave. It smelled good! "Hmm..."
"I like s'mooores..." Celaien hummed happily, waiting patiently for the marshmallows to finish puffing up like looney balloons.
"I bet I will too then!" Ianios watched, blinking as the marshmallow grew huge. "Wow..."
"Watch, this is the best part," he said, as the microwave beeped. Cele pushed the button, the door opened, and the marshmallows flooped over on themselves, shrinking back to normal.
Ianios blinked, amazed. That was kinda cool! He flew over before she took it out, looking at it. "Cool..."
"Isn't it?" he said, laughing. "Sometimes if you poke them while they're still big they deflate funny." Cele grinned and added the top cracker to the s'mores, smushing them together and taking one out to cut into smaller bits.
Ianios flew out of the microwave, and back to Celaien. Aria was waiting patiently, but she was kinda bouncing.
Cele, satisfied the pieces were small enough, set them on a plate on the table and acquired a s'more for herself, nibbling complacently.
Aria took one and munched happily. Ianios took a piece and took one bite, chewing it and swallowing. Instantly, he felt sick. "Oh no..."
"Hm?" Celaien asked, pausing to look worriedly at Ian. "What's wrong?"
Aria looked over as well, stuffing another into her face. "Ianios?" Ianios looked at her, then Celaien. "I don't feel good..." Aria blinked. Oh...she remembered! "Ianios doesn't like sweets! It made him turn brown when he was still in his leaf!"
"Oooh, I'm sorry," he said, flicking over to Ian to rub his back gently. "Maybe just the cracker and marshmallow then? That's not too sweet..."
Ianios nodded. "Sorry...it doesn't agree with me." Aria took his bite of s'more, eatting it. She smiled gently at Celaien. "He should be ok with that."
"Mmkay. And if the 'mallow's still too sweet, the crackers are good plain, too," he said, smiling gently as he picked a new piece up and took off the top cracker and chocolate, making an open-faced s'more for Ianios.
Ianios took it, and took a small bite. It wasn't too bad, but at least it wasn't making him as ill as before. "Not bad..."
Celaien smiled with relief. "That's good. Sorry I made you feel all sicky... but I know now, right?" he said.
"You didn't make me feel sicky!" Ianios hugged his friend. "We'd forgotten, so it's no one's fault!" He grinned. "Sides, I feel better now!"
"Heh... well that's good," he said, smiling and hugging back. "We'll just remember that for next time then."
Ianios nodded, watching Aria wolf another down. She adored them. He grinned. "Well, next time we'll try something...um...spicy!"
"I like spicy food," Celaien said, grinning. "Then again, I like nearly all food, so.. heh..."
Aria laughed, her mouth covered in chocolate. Ianios grinned. "Ok...so what don't you like?"
Celaien blinked, thinking. "I... don't really know. Haven't met anything yet that I don't, barring cold stuff. Cold stuff I definitely don't like."
Ianios nodded. "Hadn't tried cold stuff myself yet, really. Maybe I should. I like warmth." He grinned directly at Cel. "Rain is ok, but I like the sun."
Celaien smiled back, blushing only slightly. "I like rain if it's warm, and storms are pretty cool. The sun is definitely my friend though."
Aria smirked. "You two are made for each other!"
Celaien blushed, but continued to grin anyway as he munched on his own piece of s'more.
Ianios moved to Aria, playfully smacking her. Aria only grinned and wiped her mouth, rubbing it on Ian. "Oh..now you'll get it!" he cried, tackling her.
Celaien just laughed from the sidelines for a bit, then helped by tickling Aria.
Ianios tickled Aria who was laughing so hard, she was nearly out of breath. She was struggling with Ianios, trying to knock him off her, laughing. "Ssstop it!" she cried, kicking as tears ran down her face.
"Okay, time to let her up," he said, laughing as well as he scooted away, grinning like a cheshire cat at her.
Ianios grinned, letting Aria up who was rubbing her facem grinning. "I am so going to get you, Ian."
Celaien just grinned quietly. "I'm almost glad I don't have any feien siblings," he laughed.
Aria laughed. "But it's fun...he's so cute and fun to play with..." Ianios blushed. "Stop it."
Celaien laughed. "Sorry Ian, gonna hafta agree with her on that one." He smiled.
That made Ian blush even more, even down to his toes it seemed. Aria only laughed more, smirking. "Stop it..." he said, embarrassed.
"Aww... I'm sorry," Celaien said gently, still smiling, and scooted over to give Ianios a hug.
Ianios hugged him back, and stuck his tongue out at Aria. She smirked, and picked up another s'more. "See what she does to me?"
"Yeah, guess it's a good thing I don't have feien siblings after all. I mean, what if I got a sister?" Celaien said teasingly, aiming the last comment mostly at Aria. He grinned to show he didn't really mean it.
She laughed, flying over and tickling Cel. Ianios smirked then joined in.
"H-hey! No fair!" he yelped as he was double-teamed. He squirmed about, trying to evade their fingers. "Celeee, do something!" he called, laughing. She just grinned and nibbled on the last of her s'more.
Aria smirked. "You did the same to me!" With that, she grabbed Ian's side and tickled him, laughing as he squirmed as well, trying now to protect himself as well.
"Phew! I guess what comes around goes around, huh?" he said, grinning mock-evilly as he joined Aria in tickling Ianios for a bit, then sat back and laughed as he regained his own breath.
Ianios was panting by the time Aria had stopped, grinning from ear to ear. "Yeah. Sis had enough torturing me?" She laughed. "That's not torture. Tying you up tonight and tickling you is!"
Celaien laughed slightly. "Oh, that's not fair, Aria," he said, grinning. "He should at least be able to fight back."
Aria stuck out her tongue. "Heh," Ianios replied. "Just wait...I'll do the same to you then." He grinned at Cel.
"I guess it's really just a race to the string then," he said, smiling.
Both Feien laughed, Ianios smirking. "Yeah..." He moved closer to Celaien. "So...want a sister? I can give you Aria."
Celaien laughed. "Nah,I think Avvie's enough sister for me any day. Actually, come to think of it, I really don't have that many sisters..."
Aria smirked. "Rynn wouldn't go for that." Ianios laughed. "True. I haven't any brothers, either....lets switch!"
Celaien smirked. "Nah, you can just have a couple. I have plenty after all. What do you say, Cele?" She just stuck her tongue out at him, then padded off for elsewhere.
Aria laughed. "Hehe!" Ianios smirked and snuggled to him. "What else should I know about you?"
"Hmm.. what sort of stuff d'ya want to know?" he asked, looping an arm around his waist again.
Ianios sighed, pulling his own arm around the heat Feien. "Well, likes, dislikes? Fears?"
"Hmm. I like you," he said, grinning teasingly. "Does that count?"
Ianios grinned. Aria took the chance and flew back towards where she recalled the living room. "I think so...but what else?"
"Well let's see. I like all sorts of food, except cold food, and I dislike cold in general. Yanno, part of the whole being a heat feien thing," he said, grinning. "I like a lot of stuff, really. I don't much like large groups, but I don't mind small ones... Hm. I guess I haven't really found too awful much to fear, yet. How bout you? What sort of stuff d'you like?"
Ianios thought a moment. "I like doing things for others. I like plants, and warmth. Rain's ok. I love to explore and go on an adventure. I...I'm afraid of losing you, losing Aria..."
Celaien squeezed Ianios gently, nuzzling against his shoulder some. "You won't lose me. I promise."
Ianios looked at him, smiling gently and hugged him close. "I hope not...I dunno what I'd do if I did."
Celaien smiled gently back. "Don't worry about that... 'Cos you won't," he repeated softly, giving him a gentle kiss on the forehead. "Mm, it's getting late though... You and Aria want to spend the night?"
Ianios smiled, and nodded. "Sure, I don't think Rynn would mind. " He nuzzled Celaien's shoulder, laying over on him. "I know I wouldn't mind."
"Mmkay. Shall we head to the living room then? Hopefully Aria's not gotten *too* involved with any video games," he said, laughing slightly.
Ianios nodded. "Sure..." He grinned. "She's gotten me hooked to them as well."
Celaien gave him a quick kiss on the forehead and stood, offering a hand to help him up.
Ian smiled, and got up, using Celaien's hand to get up. He followed him to the living room, where Aria was watching a game being played.
: Cele was working on the Halloween Town part of Kingdom Hearts at the time, so when Celaien asked if they could spend the night she merely responded with a vague "Mmhmm." Celaien just grinned and shook his head. "So, how bout it Aria? You want to stay?"
Aria looked over and nodded. "Sure! I wanna watch this, ok?" Ianios grinned. "She'll pick up pointers. Rynn has that." He took Celaien's hand. "Lets go to your bed and rest."
"Mmkay. Cele can point my pillow out to you when she's done," he added to Aria. "Come on, Ian, it's over this way..." He led Ian down the hall to the library and then up to where his pillow was. "This is where I sleep," he said, smiling sheepishly.
Ianios grinned. "It's nice. Rynn made us beds out of tissue boxes. " He settled down into the pillow, getting all comfortable. "Come sleep beside me."
"Mmkay." He settled in beside Ianios, curling up beside him.
Ianios snuggled up close, dropping his arm over Cel's chest. He was tired. His eyes started to close. "This is nice..."
Celaien nuzzled against Ianios happily. "It is," he agreed drowsily, drifting off to sleep himself.
